Role-Play Rules

• Follow the Gateway Rules & RP Guildelines.
• One character per member only.
• Ask an RPM or RPH before "bullying" points from other prisoners.
• Do not begin in the role-play until your character has been approved.

Prisoners vs. Enforcers

Enforcers automatically come with the following equipment and skills:
Electric Baton -- This is a basic baton for self defense that is not automatically electric. The electric shock has to be activated by the Enforcer. This item is coded to all Enforcer's DNA and therefore can not be activated for electric shock unless the DNA matches to any Enforcer.

Enforcer Uniform -- Base, black outfit with armored plates that can be attached at any time with ease, though the attachment for a full suit up can take several minutes.

Uniform Appearance Without Most Armor:

Communicator -- This is a wrist communication that is keyed to the DNA of all Enforcers, therefore making it unusable by prisoners. This can do what any cellphone would normally be able to do, with a small, holographic screen that can allow the transfer of texts and the scanning of prisoner microchips. Additionally, each communicator is linked to a communication channel where all Enforcers can speak to each other at any time--high ranking Enforcers, along with the Warden have a second channel for their own, special use.

Close Quarters Combat Training -- This is the only physical training that an Enforcer will gain by default. It is not optional.

Pistol & Assault Rifle Training-- These are the only weapon proficiencies that an Enforcer will gain by default. Assault Rifle training is optional, but pistol training is not.

Prisoners automatically come with the following equipment and skills:
Prisoner Uniform -- A bright orange outfit found in modern times with no pockets or any other decorations that could make them seem individualistic. White undergarments are within prison rules to wear underneath, but these, too, are identical in appearance and design.

Back Story:
Lacey seemed normal enough in her childhood - she had good enough grades in high school to make it to college, where she graduated with a major in chemistry and a minor in studio art. After her graduation she got an apartment in the city and a job working at a pharmaceutical company, and she seemed ready to slip into anonymity.

Starting back when Lacey was in college she dabbled in street art, sneaking out alone to spray paint her works on street signs and businesses in the city and signing her works with the name IZY. After her graduation, she retired the name and the work and IZY disappeared - for a little while.

The artist returned around 7 years ago, but the nature of their works had changed. Her art was much the same, but her materials changed - reds in her art were made with blood now, rather than paint. Slowly, the art style of IZY continued to change, as well the subject matter - her works often parodied pop culture or current events of the time, mocking society, the government, and the people in more and more grotesque paintings. Near the end of her run, her medium of art changed from graffiti to sculpture - at her worst, she would kidnap victims, dismember them, and turn them into sculpture hidden in pointed locations.

The exact number of people she has killed is unknown, but the police, when they finally caught her, were able to pin her with 11 for certain as well as charges for torture and well over a hundred minor charges of vandalism. It was enough to put her away for life.

Currently, onboard OPICS 45, Lacey has done little to cause trouble, save for occasionally scribble on the walls when she can get away with it.

Appearance: Jacklynn is a rather large and imposing burlish female, with broad shoulders and muscular natural build. She has large hands, big feet, and would have goofie ears and face but she's had some surgery work done to fix some 'cosmetic' problems she needed fixed. She's self-conscious of her rather boyish appearance, but somethings you just have to live with.

Back Story: Jacklynn has always been a strange little boy... I mean girl. Even at a young age she was something of an odd ball with other kids. When all the other girls would make mud pies, well Jacklynn would eat them until she got sick. Trevlin suffers from a psychological disorder called Pica, where she consumes non-nutritional substances. She grew up rather gender confused and bullied for her strange habits that just didn't fit in with normal kids. For awhile her father and mother thought it a good idea to sign her up for sports, mainly football. Well that lasted for a bit, and Jackie almost seemed to fit in for a time, as she went to some trouble to try and fit in and suppressed her nature and desires.
Trevlin always had some difficultly with passing classes, staying focused on her studies and fitting in socially. She repeated classes several times, got into many fights, suffered suspensions and was expelled numerous times for violence.
Eventually after graduating school Jackie lived for a time in some campgrounds and naturalist communes. She started working in mines and with demolition equipment, and given her rather poor academic background it worked out great. She always was good with her hands, and often back in school loved taking art/crafts, shop and other hands on type projects. When her parents died and she inherited her parents land, she continued to live according to many of her naturalist tendencies. It worked out pretty well, for many years, and all seemed well. Even when she suffered problems at work, and got into a few accidents involving explosives, she had to recover from her injuries and rather extensive facial surgery and internal modification. This is when she had some work done, making sure to get some people to take into account her rather strange eating habits.
That was until the mining company eventually managed to figure out where some of those missing supplies where disappearing to. That's right, Jacklynn had been taking somethings home to the old proverbial farm house. Using and stockpiling small amounts of explosives and tools. When police finally got a permit to search the premises they uncovered illegal mines and tunnels, illegal water gathering, above and underground buildings, and equipment. Her naturalist friends where evicted, her property seized and much of it auctioned off, and well Jacklynn? Well she got stuck with the bill, at least what was left of it. Now she gets to try and learn to adapt to her new home - OPICS 45

Back Story: Kurt was born to a religious but dysfunctional family. His parents were devout in a twisted manner, sheltering Kurt and his older sister from the outside world and its satanic views. They never beat their children, but their judgmental personalities were so apparent that Kurt could never quite open up out of fear of being punished. His sister was braver than he, but she recieved harsh words whenever she voiced an unpopular opinion.

Life only got worse when a death in the extended family caused Kurt's mother to start drinking alcohol. Whenever Kurt's mom was intoxicated, she would verbally abuse Kurt's sister and keep her locked in in her room until she was too drunk to move. The only comfort Kurt had was a handheld videogame that his sister game to him in secret. Kurt always kept his videogame hidden in his toy chest. He'd play his videogame whenever he was alone in his room, replaying it over and over every time he completed the story. At one point, Kurt saw his sister running to her room, weeping angrily. He knew who was behind it, he peered downstairs and saw his mother holding a folded up belt. Kurt then decided to take matters into his own hands, just like the protagonist in his videogame.

Kurt stayed up one late night and picked up a steak knife from the kitchen. Just like his videogame's main character, he repeatedly stabbed his sister while she slept, hoping that in the after-life she would not have to suffer the torment of people like their parents. Before Kurt completed the job, his parents came rushing in, peeling him away from his bloody sister. Within moments, Kurt was apprehended and taken away in a police car. Due to his young age, Kurt was sentenced to several years in a juvenile containment facility. He never heard from his parents or sister again, as his parents were accused of child abuse and his sister died of injury. Growing up, Kurt struggled to make ends meet but he continued clinging to his videogames. He one stumbled across a book about how the reader's reality is not real, but just a simulation or a figment of
imagination. With life crumbling around him, Kurt internalized the book as an escape.

Kurt imagined his life as a videogame full of NPCs and quests to complete with stats to improve and enemies to defeat. Whenever Kurt ran into someone who he deemed was an "enemy" or a terrible influence on society, he tracked the citizen down and used several methods of intoxication to cause a lethal accident or outright death through poisoning. The randomness of his victims
made it difficult for the police to find suspects but eventually they found a hard piece of evidence that sent Kurtis to prison. When the police investigated Keter's appartment, they found objects that belonged to the deceased victims and the word "Keter" written on the wall in a stylized format.

Back Story: Due to the wealth that he left behind on Earth, Leo has many connections and Leo was known within the OPICS 45 station as the general smuggler. If you need something smuggled in, he was your man. Used primarily as a means to avoid rape, assault, and other threats within the prison, Leo made a name for himself and a manageable reputation.

His parents died when he was but an infant, and so he grew up in social services and moved from foster home to foster home. Starting at around the age of fifteen, Leo found himself caught up in a life of crime, feeling more at home when he was in trouble than not. Despite his rocky past and repeated crimes, most of his criminal history was cause by his own experimental phase as he learned just how bad he did and did not want to be, as well as his own criminal style.

Appearance: In Progress. Looks like a thin armed robot, humanoid in general but with very maneuverable articulate joints. Completely white except for some red accents on the sides of the arms, legs, and torso. Has a head that looks a bit like an oval with a flat face front. Digital face can express whatever he pleases as if the white front were a blank page. However, it isn't exactly simple to portray. He has to use a complex in brain, art program for drawing new facial features in. Body is roughly shaped like a few tin cans stacked on top of each other. Has multiple ports on back to plug into as well.

Appearance: A man who is full of mysteries in both his mannerisms as well as his appearance. His skin was melted off long ago, leaving his face bare and bone. However, with medical assistance he was able to restore his body, however his face remained bare as a side effect. He seems to act of nobility, yet he will savagely maim and execute other prisoners for his entertainment. With his face, he seems to stare endlessly into nothing, for he has no eyelids. He is known as the "Skull Mutant." His skull, however, is known for being extremely thick, as he has knocked out a number of enforcers at one time.

Hobbies/Skills: He has a habit of getting into trouble and either killing people, or causing complete mayhem.
Combat Abilities: While he has no unique powers, his intellect and unstable mind has led others to regard him as a threat at all times. When provoked he will ruthlessly pick away at a person's weak points to completely destroy their being, both mentally and physically.

Back Story: He was a simple man with a simple life. He lived alone, with no family, no friends. He woke up every morning to go to work at the only facility in his vicinity. He was something like a janitor, if that janitor cleaned up radioactive messes and other toxic wastes. He didn't hate his job, nor was it his dream. It was simply a duty that paid his bills and paid for the luxurious things he often yearned for, all of which were few in value, and even less in cost.

His life was routine; Wake, shower, drive, work, sleep, repeat. He rarely broke habit, only to rest on his days off, spending money on liquor and cigars and cigarettes. It was a simple life, and one he quite enjoyed.

However one day, as any superhero movie would have, a few barrels of toxic waste were spilled not far from him. He did not gain powers, he did not grow wings. However he did get held over at work to clean up the mess that another had made. He worked overtime to fix the mistakes of others, his own biohazard suit being the only uniform between any of the employees. However with hours of work, as hours of exposure. He did not mind that his own suit had begun to deteriorate. He did not notice that his skin had begun to peek from his face. Nor did he feel his own body slowly begin to change for the worse. He had finished this day with a nap, exhausted, his body leaned against the wall as he stared off into nothing...

The next day he found himself in the midst of an empty room, only to find a man standing over him. Instinctively he saw a scalpel and his own mind rushed to conclusions. He would find that he killed several doctors trying to save his life, only after doing so. With his own records he would learn that his body was repaired and healed, just like he was before. The only difference was in place of his face, the bones in his body were strengthened.

He would find and adapt to the changes of his own body. His nerves numbed, and his eyelids gone, his own peripherals widened and his body near to non receptive to pain. He was nothing more than a research project for a new military weapon.

He would find himself hunted for genome experiments. It would be then that he would hijack a ship and flee to space, only to be hunted as a refugee. He would land on various planets, only to kill everyone he could find. He would kill children, as well as any weak or defenseless creature. He figured if he could live on a planet with only himself alive, there would be no one to turn him in.

Eventually he turned up at a rest planet completely intoxicated. It was then that he was properly arrested and apprehended by enforcers and taken away to the galactic prison.

Your background doesn't quite fit into the setting of the role-play, due to the fact that there are only humans and that they primarily only live on Earth at this time.

Additionally, if you will have killed that many people, you will need to provide more information on how you accomplished that feat. xDD That's crazy, man. Crazy.
