Persona: Metamorphose

The Shadows were agitated. This was nothing new; they always became restless when a storm was brewing on the other side. What was of a more immediate concern was that it had been a long time since the world had been this unstable. The air around the many entrances rippled and sparked, causing further disorder amongst the hoardes of Shadows.

The rumour had started about a year ago, though nobody knew its precise origins. If you look into a turned off TV at midnight on a rainy night, you can see your own death. Many people had confirmed it to be true and just as many had said it was a load of bullshit. Some were too scared to even consider trying it while others were captivated by the thought of seeing their own demise.

The weather forecast for the first day of school predicted increasing cloudiness and heavy rain starting in the late afternoon. It wasn't supposed to let up until the next morning. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the rumour was on the tip of many tongues at both John Brooke High School and Traherne University.

Heath stood just outside of the school gate, cigarette in hand. He could honestly say that he'd seen zombies that were more lively than he felt right now. It was too early to be alive, as far as he was concerned, let alone to have been at school for nearly twenty minutes already. He glanced up at the sky, watching the dark clouds roll in. Other students had finally started showing up and he overheard some people talking about that weird rumour that had been going around. It wasn't something he'd ever tried himself. The whole thing sounded like a bad trip to him. Still, the fact that people had been talking about it for so long piqued his curiousity a bit.

Flint started up his car and pulled out into the street. It was his first day working as a teaching assistant at John Brooke High School and although the job was far from ideal, it would probably be simple enough. Also, the fact that he was friends with his co-worker would make it much less tedious.

As he drove, the radio informed him that heavy rain was on its way, as if he couldn't tell by looking at the sky. The announcer then said the rain would probably last all night, which caught Flint's attention. He made a mental note of it as he headed toward Alexander's apartment building.

When he arrived, Flint pulled up to the front entrance. He knew he wouldn't be kept waiting at all; Alexander was always very punctual.

Rhys walked to school with a spring in his step, excited to see his friends. He was also a bit curious about what his new classes would be like. Usually they were pretty confusing, but he was sure he would get to learn and see some cool stuff, too. When he reached the school gates, Rhys immediately spotted Heath. "Hey, Heath!" he called out as he trotted over to his friend. "Hi! Man, you always beat me here. Hey, you need to look alive! It's the first day of school! Maybe something exciting will happen!"

"C'mon, you know that's just a story," Shiro said dismissively.

"But everyone's talking about it! One of my friends even said she knows someone who's seen it!" Arina replied, slightly frustrated with her brother.

The pair of siblings walked along the sidewalk, making their way to school. It was the start of another school year and once again the TV rumour was going around. Shiro didn't really believe it; why would a TV show your death on a rainy night? It made no sense to him. However, his sister always insisted she knew people who knew people who had done it, as if that was reliable.

He noticed the dark clouds approaching and thought it looked like it might rain. As much as he liked that kind of weather he didn't want to be soaked on the start of the first day back, so he started to walk faster. Arina seemed to have the same idea as he did as she had sped up as well.

As they approached the school gate, they saw a pair of familiar figures standing there. Arina scrunched up her nose; she hated the smell of cigarette smoke, so she kept on walking past them. Shiro, however, walked over to them, smiling as he heard Rhys' cheeriness.

"Hey guys," Shiro said. "Man, you gotta give us some of your energy, Rhys."

(Attn: Flint)

Alexander had already been waiting in the lobby as the familiar car pulled up and he wasted little time exiting the building and getting into the car. He greeted his friend with a small smile, holding his briefcase on his lap and depositing his umbrella onto the floor by his feet. "Good morning," he said. "Are you ready for today?" He paused, glancing out the window for a moment. "And did you happen to hear the forecast? It looks like it's going to rain..." That fact was always of interest to Alexander.

(Attn: Rhys, Shiro)

Heath suddenly heard a familiar voice calling to him. He waved at his friend as he approached.

If Heath hadn't been used to Rhys, he probably would have been completely overwhelmed by the guy's enthusiasm. As it was, he just stuck his cigarette in his mouth and used his fingers to widen his eyes a bit. "This is as close to alive as I get," he said. He could only laugh when Rhys said something exciting might happen. "Right..."

Shiro approached them then and Heath returned his greeting. He had to agree with the guy. "Yeah... where does it even come from?" It was as if Rhys had drained all of Heath's energy and added it to his own or something.

[ATTN: Alexander]

Flint returned Alexander's greeting with a nod. "Apparently a storm is coming," he said, starting the car and beginning to head toward the high school. "It's supposed to last all night, too." He left it at that, knowing it wasn't necessary to say more. "Anyway, I'm not expecting too much from today. If a kid needs my help on introduction day, I'll probably quit."

[ATTN: Heath, Shiro]

"Hey Shiro!" Rhys grinned. "Yeah, I think I should give you guys energy. Just look at Heath! He can't even force his eyes open! Hehe, how long do you think he'll last today before falling asleep?" He turned to Heath. "Hopefully you make it through bio. I heard that the teacher's pretty strict..."

[ATTN: Rhys, Heath]

"I'm sure he could stay awake if he tried, but there's the problem," Shiro said. "Yeah, hearing about that bio teacher makes me glad I decided to take chem instead. Are you guys sure you can handle a teacher like that?"

He looked up at the sky again as it grew darker. "We should probably head inside soon..."

[ATTN: Paxton, Emile, Open]

Arina headed inside the school, shaking her head at her brother's choice of friends. Of course, she knew that Shiro had known Heath since they were kids, but Heath's habits were terrible. Rhys was definitely the better of the two, though there was only just so long she could stand to be around him.

She'd only been to the student council room once before, so it took her a little while to find it again. This was to be their first official meeting, and it wouldn't do to be late. She rounded a corner and finally saw the door with "Student Council Meeting Room" written on it, then approached it and tried the handle.

The door was unlocked, so the president had to already be there. Paxton, she believed his name was. She pushed the door open and found him and another boy in there, who she recognized as the vice president.

"Hey, I'm Arina, the secretary," she introduced herself, mostly to be polite since they probably knew who she was anyway.

(Attn: Flint)

Alexander nodded when Flint said that the storm was going to last all night. They would have to stay alert. He could only sigh at Flint's next comment. It was so typical. "Helping them is your job, but I understand what you're saying since I'm only going over the basics." Anyone who needed help with that didn't belong in a high school level biology class. Alexander had no patience for slackers.

(Attn: Shiro, Rhys)

"Oh, come on..." Heath gave Shiro a mock pout. "Narcolepsy is a serious condition." He took one last drag from his cigarette before putting it out and tossing the butt in the trash. Rhys then mentioned the biology teacher. "Seriously? We have that class first thing in the morning. This isn't going to work..." Shiro then asked if they could handle a teacher like that. Heath just shook his head with a wilted expression on his face.

He nodded when Shiro said they should go inside. "I guess we should probably find our homeroom."

(Attn: Student Council)

Emile had been the second person to arrive at the meeting room. The president was already there, as a good president should be. Emile had introduced himself with a pleasant smile. Having only moved to Verolino the previous year, he didn't know many people at the school. The girl who entered next looked vaguely familiar, as she was in his grade, but he wasn't one hundred percent sure who she was either. She introduced herself as Arina and Emile recognized her name as that of the secretary before she even stated her position.

"'Ello, is nice to meet you," he said politely. He was a bit self-conscious about his speech. "My name is Emile and I am ze vice president." He bit his lip before adding, "I am sorry for my English."

Just then, another girl entered the room. "Hi, everyone. I'm Cecily, and I'm the treasurer..." She glanced around, seeing that everyone else was already present. "Obviously." She smiled at Arina, whom she'd known since their freshman year.

Emile introduced himself to Cecily and looked to Paxton, ready for the meeting to begin.

[ATTN: Harrison, Open]

As usual, Felix walks into the school with her own little swagger, having to lean down to get to the door handle and push down the mechanism to open it and swing it open. She's dressed in her football jacket (customized, of course, since she WAS the quarterback,) and a matching-coloured beret, alongside a scarf (more for style than for functionality) and a pair of men's jeans, since apparently "they don't carry jeans in her size". This school was a little... depressing, she found. More tones of tans and grays on tans and grays, maybe someone could, I don't know, modernize it a little. Fucking bullshit, she wanted something done about this drab school. She turns the corner and slyly smiles, taking a more direct route to the school's student council office...

And of course, the door was closed. She snarled a little bit, and walked away with a huff. Felix hated it when school councils were so... detached from their people. It really didn't feel right, but she calmed down after going to the breakfast club, grabbing an apple an biting into it. Along the way, she met with her wide receiver, Harrison and they exchange cordial greetings as Harrison changes direction to follow her. Great.

"So, Harrison, have you worked on the play we discussed?"

"Yeah, it's a fucking bitch... you sure you want me to cut TWICE? There's no need to cut out and THEN in for that long, I'm not in the slot." Harrison was normally the better playmaker, so they had started working on cuts and stuff to get him inside more often.

"Well, your job is to get mismatches, and this will get you plenty of mismatches." They were interrupted by a couple of niners in the way, whom Harrison and Felix promptly pushed aside, laughing. "Oh, lord, Niners are so easy to scare!" Harrison nodded and blushed a little bit.

"You busy after the game Friday?" Preseason had just finished for the team, and a new season was getting underway. Felix was eager to show her stuff as the starter for the year, and Harrison was looking forward to catching some passes.

"No, not really, why?" Felix looked at him with darted eyes. She knew that she could have ANY guy she wanted here, but Harrison was a catch for sure. Already he was on the hook, she just left the line loose so Harrison would come to her.

"Oh, I don't know... the guys are planning to do some stupid shit and... well, I'd rather spend my time doing something smart for once. I need help with English." Felix sighed and shook her head. English was EAAAASAAAAYYYY.

"Sure, when and where?" They turn a corner and Felix bumps into the door, her hand not low enough to push the bar. "FUCKING SHIT!"

{Attn: Open}

Aradia collects all her items before going into her mother’s car. She puts her umbrella, bookbag and oboe in the backseat before sitting in the front. She is always nervous about the first day of school. New teachers, new lockers, trying out in band it is so nerve wracking. At least she kept busy over the summer. She was in the city band and was even in some parades. She also helped out in the summer theatre group which was loads of fun.

The car arrives at school and Aradia climbs out and opens the back door to get her other items. She looks up at the sky and sees the grey sky. It is not raining now, but will be soon. Aradia overhears gossip about the rain and midnight rumors. Those make her smile a little I mean come one people this is the 21st century. Then she sees the cliques all getting into their groups. She is on the fringes of most. The drama geeks like her because she is helping them with their plays, she is a decent student, but her core group of friends are the band geeks.

Aradia arrives at her locker. Some of her friend approach her and start to chatter about the gossip of the day. Aradia places her stuff in and grabs the times she will need for Math. She takes out her oboe and her and her friends walk to the band room to drop off their instruments.

On the balls of her feet, Felix's patrol turns into the slightly more colourful music hall. There was little respect for the music program here in school, even though they were often more successful in terms of accolades than most sports teams, save the soccer team, a perennial all-star affair. Felix sniffed the air, stale with the scent of spittle from instruments and poor musicianship. As usual, her main targets were here... some loser trombonists, a couple poor flute-players, but these targets were normally small-fry. By now, all of the gang had arrived. Of course, Felix had to lead, but there were cheerleaders cattier than she, and linebackers stronger than she.

They made their way to one Aradia's locker, as the rest of the group stood back. Moving her jaw back and forth, her shadow drapes over Aradia grimly as she smirks. "Good morning, Aradia." The two had met previously during a playoff game where she was benched. "Your guys ready for the game?" All of the others made a move to lean in on the conversation, far enough away to not be considered 'listening in', but listening in anyways.

[ATTN: Heath, Shiro]

"Yeah, let's go!" Rhys said cheerfully.

The three went inside and wandered the halls, looking at the names posted outside the door of each classroom. "Hey, there's us," Rhys said when they reached the room at the end of the hall, pointing at the paper. "Hmm... it says Alexander Cohen..." He whirled around to face the others. "Who's that?"

[ATTN: Alexander]

"I know, I'll do my job. But if they can't grasp the basics, I don't know how much help I could be," Flint said simply. It wasn't long before they reached the school, where Flint pulled into the staff parking lot. He grabbed his bag before leaving the car and walked to the entrance with Alexander. Flint entered the building and stopped, looking back at him. "Lead the way."

[ATTN: Student Council]

Paxton had arrived at the meeting room early and watched each person as they walked in. He didn't know any of them, so he wasn't sure what to expect. At least they seemed punctual enough. After everyone had assembled, Paxton stood up from his seat.

"I am Paxton Sinclair and I am your president, if any of you were unaware. Now, I'm calling this Student Council meeting to order at..." He glanced at the clock. "... 7:49am." Paxton then looked at Arina. "Well, are you going to write this down? You are the secretary, aren't you?"

{Attn: Felix, Open}

Aradia swallows as the behemoth of a shadow overtakes her. She sees Felix and the rest of her posse. “Of course we are ready for the game. We have been practicing for a while. I wish you guys good luck.” She was a bit nervous Felix is the star of the football team, and she was in the band. There is no reason not be polite.

[ATTN: Rhys, Heath]

Shiro followed the other two into the school and looked at each of the class lists until they found theirs. It seemed their homeroom teacher this year would be Alexander Cohen, whose name Shiro thought sounded slightly familiar.

"Alexander Cohen... He wouldn't be the biology teacher, would he?" he pondered. Having him for homeroom wouldn't be as bad as having him for a class, he supposed.

[ATTN: Student Council]

Arina smiled at Emile as he introduced himself. His accent was quite thick, but she could mostly make out what he was saying. "It's all right, your English is fine!"

She then heard someone else enter the room behind her and she smiled even wider when she saw it was Cecily. It was good to have at least one person she knew on the council, at least.

Now that everyone was there, the president saw it fit to start the meeting. However, almost immediately he was demanding her to start writing even before she'd had a chance to get a seat.

"Well yeah, give me a minute," she replied. She went and grabbed a notebook from the shelf, grabbed a pen from her bag, sat down on the nearest seat, and then started to write.

(Attn: Shiro, Rhys)

"Yes, he would," Heath said, examining his list of classes. "Fuck our lives." Last year had been that teacher's first year and he already had a reputation. Heath couldn't see that being anything but a bad sign.

(Attn: Flint, Shiro, Rhys, Heath)

Alexander nodded, leading Flint to his classroom. It was the same one he'd been in last year. He glanced at the students who were hovering around the list and talking amongst themselves. For some reason, they seemed a bit unnerved. He walked by them and into the classroom.

"I think I'll have you stay at the back of the room today, if you don't mind," Alexander said to Flint. It would be difficult for him to keep track of everyone until he learned their names, so having Flint keep an eye on the class today would be helpful.

(Attn: Student Council)

Emile looked very happy when Arina said that his English was fine; he'd been practicing.

The president then started the meeting, getting a bit snappy with the secretary, which startled Emile. He hadn't been expecting the president to be rude like that. However, he supposed it was forgivable since they were pressed for time and he was probably stressed.

Cecily saw no need for it. "Jeez..." she murmured under her breath.

[ATTN: Aradia, Open]

Harrison decided quickly to walk over, smirk on his face. Felix was NOT expecting this, as she saw the caramel-kissed skin of Harrison walking over and his long, jet black hair flow. "So, Aradia, we need to know one thing... do you feel lucky?" Looking left, and then right, she knelt down to her height and looked at her with intense blue eyes. "Do ya? Because..." and then Felix found a low register in her voice, raspy and quiet, yet loud enough to hear. "people are out for you. Be careful, okay? We've agreed that we CAN'T have the only GOOD musician here get ganked by the Hockey team." She got back up and snapped her fingers, and her posse disappeared, save for herself and Harrison.

"Girl, what are you doing? We were supposed to-" Harrison was cut up by a very forceful glare.

"Look, I know she's a band geek, and I'll stuff ten of them in lockers today, but let's be honest, we only slam people without talent." At least it was a nod to Aradia's skill, but could she really stand her friends being bullied?

{Attn: Felix and group, Open}

Aradia swallows hard when Harrison and Felix invade her personal space. God he is gorgeous…Her thoughts are interrupted when Felix bends down and meets her eyes. She is then warned by the start quarterback about the hockey players. Aradia could not help but pale slightly as she squeaks out a “Thanks, F..felix.” Felix then stands back up and she disappears with her crew.

Aradia was able to process what Felix told her did Felix actually pay her a compliment? What does the hockey team have against her anyway? She hugs the book to chest and quickly walks to the music room. Why did she think that this year would be different than the past years.

“Hey are you alright Aradia, we saw Felix’s posse confronting you?” The first chair trumpeter asked her as he is putting is instrument in the slot.

“I…I am fine actually. She was warning me about the hockey team, and actually complimented me about my music. I don’t know if it is sincere or not. I guess time will tell.” Aradia answers, putting her oboe in the slot. At least it will be safe here, her oboe is her prized possession. “I wouldn’t celebrate yet, who knows when the next mood swing will happen.”

“No kidding jocks are not the smartest people, I think their brains are in their muscles.” He growls as he begins to walk away. “Don’t worry I will tell everyone, we have to take care of our own.”

Aradia shakes her head. Just what she needs a full out jock vs band war. “I will see you later.” She walks over to homeroom.

[ATTN: Shiro, Heath]

"Oh... I guess we're gonna get to see him a lot, huh?" Rhys said. He almost continued, but fell silent as he moved out of the way of two people trying to enter the room. One of them had to be Mr. Cohen, but he didn't know what the other person was there for. After they had gone inside, Rhys turned to his friends. "Hey, how come there were two of them? Maybe Mr. Cohen is actually two people! Cool!"

[ATTN: Alexander]

Flint paid the students no mind as he entered the room. "That sounds fine," he replied, looking around. The school really hadn't changed at all since he had last been there. He placed his bag behind Alexander's desk and then turned to his friend. "I'll just keep an eye on them. There isn't really much for me to help you with today anyway." The idea of standing around and watching a bunch of kids for hours sounded awful to Flint, but he needed the money.

[ATTN: Student Council]

Paxton seemed satisfied when Arina started writing, so he continued. "Our duty as Student Council is to represent the voice of the student body. Therefore, the students need to know who we are, which is why we will be running the assembly after lunch today. Each of us will introduce ourselves and give a small statement about wanting to improve the school. I was also given this..." He took three sheets of paper off his clipboard and handed them out to the others. "This is a list of upcoming events that we will need to announce as well. I have already indicated on the paper who will read which part."

[ATTN: Quiver, Felix, OPEN]

Harrison, unfortunately, had to leave after their little run-in with Aradia. The two parted ways, and while Harrison had to rush to homeroom, Felix was getting a little thirsty. She made her way to one of the higher water fountains that she was more comfortable using when what looked to be a black squirrel scurried behind her. Felix felt followed. Stalked. Swiftly, she turned around and saw no one there as she opened the door. Odd.

So she continued to make her way down when footsteps started sounding off AGAIN behind her. Felix adjusted her jacket and tilted her beret down, and finally reached the highest water fountain at the school. Kneeling a little bit, she gets to the water flowing from the fountain when beside her, two eyes pop open beside the water. "Ooh, water fountains here are a lot more interesting than at my other school," she opines emptily.

It took a while for Felix to register the girl as actually there, but when she did, it was a shocker. She jumped up and back away, knocking her head on the ceiling. "HOLY CRAP, GIRL, WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!?" And DAMN, was she a small girl! Felix estimated that if they were out together, the tiny, raven-haired girl could be confused as her daughter rather than an acquaintance. "Where did you learn to sneak up on people like that, I mean, JESUS! You scared the shit out of me."

The young girl shrank away, her eyes now shimmering with tears about to fall. "I'm sorry, miss... I'm just lost and I don't know where to go and I'm hungry and scared and-" At this point, she begins to hyperventilate, falling flat on her bum and gasping for air. Felix was confused and at the same time, she just flat out did not know what to do. Sitting beside her and holding her tight, she patted her head and murmured general words of helpfulness, and soon, the girl calmed down.

"Relax, girl... Relax. Now, give me your schedule." Felix gave her a stern look that said 'give me the schedule, or help me, God...' that propelled the squirrel-y girl to get the piece of paper out quickly as Felix scans over it. "Looks like your first class is..." she licks her finger and points due East, "that way, four or five doors down. I'll walk you there." As the two get up, she notices that the girl is still shaking. "Come on, Quivers, I need you to be brave for me, okay? I know school can be a little scary, but still..."

"Nuh-uh." She remained sitting and adamant about not moving, clutching onto a bag easily recognized as a bow case.

Felix nodded with approval. "May I see tha-"

"NO! The big kids ALWAYS take the good stuff away from me! NO!" Amusingly, the girl tried to bull rush her. Felix shot out a hand and sighed as the girl ran into it and continued to try to rush her.

"Take it EASY, Quivers! I just want to see..." After a couple minutes of the girl trying to rush her, she finally tires out and nods, with a comment about her grubby hands and such... Ignoring them, Felix takes out the bow inside and inspects it. The bow was a nice, but old model, made of composite materials, though the bowstring was a bit worn. "You're probably going to want to invest in a better set of strings, and maybe even a new bow. What's your weight category?"

The young girl gulps and sniffles, wanting to run away. "Um... my drawback? Like... um... 45-55 poun-"

"Holy buckets, and you can HANDLE that kind of strength?" Felix asked, amazed at the girl.

"Yeah, had to develop it over a while, but adds an extra OOMPH to my shooting." The girl known as Quivers nods and smiles, feeling a lot more at ease.

"Say, come by the Archery Club today, maybe I can show you a couple things. I draw back a slightly stronger bow, but that's because I'm fuckin' huge, right?"

"YOU SAID A BAD WORD!" She giggles and punches Felix lightly in the hip.

"Oh, shut up, we're in high school now, we can swear all the damn time. Now let's get to class." Damn, this girl would need a looooot of help in this school if she didn't want to get beat up.

[ATTN: Rhys, Heath]

Shiro shifted to the side as a pair of men headed to the door of the classroom. Then Rhys made a comment that he couldn't help but laugh at; he wasn't entirely sure if his friend was serious or not.

"Oh yeah, I'm sure as the bio teacher he's learned how to spontaneously split himself into two people," Shiro joked.

[ATTN: Student Council]

Arina wrote as quickly as she could while still keeping it legible. This guy was all business; he seemed to be taking this as seriously as if he were the president of a country. When he handed out the papers she took hers and looked it over. Paxton certainly was very prepared.

It seemed to her that as long as things went his way, it would be fine. However, she wondered what he would do if something unexpected were to happen.

(Attn: Open in homeroom)

Aradia pushes up her glasses and enters in the classroom. She sees a bunch of students in there recognizing some from band. She sees takes her seat by the windows. She looks outside and watches the rain fall. She sighs and waits for the bell to ring. She sees some really cute guys as her eyes scan the classroom. She looks down at her notebook and plays with her pencil. *Now remember your promise, you are going to say hi to someone new every day.* It is a promise she made to her parents so they think she is making friends.

(Attn: Rhys, Shiro)

Heath stared at Rhys. "What...?" He snickered at Shiro's assessment. "Yeah... or he's got one soul in two bodies. Well, actually, I don't think it sounds like he has a soul at all." It felt like the possibility of a morning nap was drifting away before his eyes. "Maybe we shouldn't go in there..."

(Attn: Flint)

"Thanks." Alexander offered Flint a small smile. "At least you'll get a chance to see what it's going to be like." He opened his briefcase, removing his attendance sheets and lesson plan. He then proceeded to write both his own name and Flint's name on the whiteboard.

(Attn: Student Council)

Emile looked very nervous as Paxton explained what they would be doing. "A-ah... today?" He reviewed his paper. He wasn't even sure how to pronounce one of the things he had to read off. He would have to ask someone before the assembly.

Cecily reviewed the list, paying special attention to her part. This assembly didn't seem like it would be too bad, even though the vice president appeared to be sweating bullets at the thought of it.

(Attn: Aradia)

Sage glanced around the classroom. His watch said that there were less than ten minutes until homeroom started but the teacher was nowhere in sight. He shrugged his shoulders and opened his worn out notebook to jot down a couple of lines of poetry that had popped into his head earlier that morning. Just then, a girl sat in front of him. He remembered seeing her in the band at a pep rally last year.

He lightly nudged her back with the eraser end of his pencil. "Don't you think it's a bit odd that the teacher isn't here yet? Liam Ashford... you ever had him for anything before?" Addressing someone out of the blue like that wasn't unusual for Sage; he didn't see any harm in talking to people.

(Attn: Sophomores)

Lara sat at her desk, reviewing her class list. She recognized several names as members of the football team, which could be a headache. She didn't understand why they scheduled games so that they cut into class time. She checked her watch, waiting for her students to arrive so she could give the typical first day address.

(Attn: Freshmen)

Gemma's classroom was colourful. There wasn't a single black marker to be found; all of her whiteboard markers were brightly coloured and various posters decorated the walls. She'd never been a fan of the oatmeal theme most schools had going on so she tried to cover it up as much as possible. Her homeroom was comprised of freshmen, so she supposed she'd have to tell them what to expect from high school.

Aradia feels something poking her from behind. She turns and sees a nice looking guy. “I…I think he teaches Geology. I had him last year and he is a little laid back than most teachers. He probably won’t be here until the last second.” She smiles at the young man and pushes up her glasses. “My name is Aradia.”

There she spoke to someone, and he seems pretty nice too. She peeks quickly at his paper and see some writing. “Are you a writer? I am a musician myself.”

[ATTN: Rhys, Heath]

"Well, as much as I'd like to not go in there, it's almost time for homeroom so we probably should," Shiro said.

He hoped that maybe Mr. Cohen wouldn't be as bad since it was only homeroom. It wasn't like he was going to have him for any classes or anything. He went past Rhys and Heath and entered the classroom, then turned around and waited for them to come in too.

[ATTN: Student Council]

As the meeting went on and everyone looked over their papers, Arina looked up at the clock. It appeared they had less than ten minutes until homeroom, and she wasn't sure if the rest of the council realized it.

"Excuse me," she said somewhat forcefully. "We should really end this meeting and go to our homerooms now."

[ATTN: Shiro, Heath]

Rhys raised his eyebrows at Heath's conclusion about Mr. Cohen. He certainly hoped the guy had at least a partial soul. Shiro headed into the classroom, so Rhys followed him and surveyed the seat situation. "Hmmm... where should we sit?" He glanced at the whiteboard. "Oh, I guess they are different people. Hey, what about those seats over there?" Rhys pointed toward the opposite side of the room.

[ATTN: Alexander]

Flint nodded at Alexander and lingered around the desk as some students entered. Just when he started to wonder when the bell would ring, it sounded loud and clear, so Flint went and took his place at the back of the room.

[ATTN: Student Council]

"Yes, today," Paxton said to Emile. "Didn't you know there would be an assembly today?" Arina then tried to end the meeting, and Paxton turned to face her. "The meeting will end when I say it does," he said, obviously displeased by the interruption. He then spoke to the group. "Now, after lunch we will skip homeroom and go straight to the auditorium. We may need to speak with the principal so please ensure that you are not late. Meeting adjourned." Paxton took his things and left the room.

[ATTN: Juniors]

Liam reached his classroom moments before the bell rang. He smiled at the students, who were all mostly seated, though he noticed that there were a few empty seats. Not bothered at all, Liam placed his things by his desk and reached into his bag. He pulled out two rocks and walked over and handed a speckled one to the student sitting closest to the door. He then walked to the other side of the room and gave a student a glassy black rock.

"I thought you might need something to pass around and look at during the announcements. They're boring sometimes," he said when he returned to the front of the room and started digging his lesson plans out of his bag.

As usual, Felix is one of the first to come to class, as her inability to not care about anything shows itself. She crouches down slightly to enter the doorway and bobs back up, seeing... Aww, crap. "Hello again, Miss Sloane. What a PLEASURE to see you!" Felix had some acid in her voice. Deities be damned if she was in a class with miss "hates the athletics" program again. "Will I be seeing you for any of my classes this semester?" Felix tried so desperately not to roll her eyes, despite her want to stay on the good side of teachers, she was so prone to being flagrant and open about her emotions. Gosh, if only we didn't have to take History OR Geography...

[ATTN: Gemma]

The fun-sized girl walked the four or five doors down and knocked gently on the door. "Um... is this..." She puts her paper up to her eye level and reads off "homeroom", and then opens the door, putting her hands in front of her skirt and clasping them together. She walks straight to the center desk and sits down. What an odd creature.
