Re: Languages
Well, English is my native language, with French being my second. I was in French immersion (the majority of my classes were in French and we were only allowed to speak French in the classroom) from grade 7 right up until I graduated. At that point I was pretty darn fluent, though it's been almost four years now. I can still read and write it pretty well but I don't really have the confidence to speak it anymore.
In university I took a German reading class during my first year and I aced it. It was super interesting and I still remember bits and pieces but not enough, sadly. I'm currently taking Latin now, I did beginner Latin over the summer and now I'm halfway through intermediate. I really love the language. :3
In the future, I want to learn Japanese, Swedish, Russian, and many more!

Re: Languages
I am fluent in both English and American Sign Language and I know very little of Spanish, due to having never used it after my Spanish courses. lol
I hope to learn Portuguese, German, Italian, French, Japanese, Chinese, and Latin one day--but I doubt I'll learn most. xD

Re: Languages
Oh I forgot to put German and Italian =/
Well, my native language is portuguese,I have a major easiness towards english, and I suck at spanish, even the odds naturally being in favor of me being better at it.
Plus, latin is easier for me,since portuguese is born from it like french, italian, spanish and many others.
Well Leah7, I can help you by teaching a bit of portuguese, same is valid for anyone else who have interest on learning it,since for now I have pretty much free time.
Also I look foward to learn latin, german, hebraic, maybe italian and who knows aramaic.

Re: Languages
I must say that I love using english a lot, but I also adore japenese and I love how latin sound, it's so mysterious kinda ;D
Though my first language is french, but I don't exactly like it haha, that language made me want to pull my hairs off more then once at school cause nothing is logical in the grammar rules and I just never got the higher levels of it.
I like english, because it's super simple and it sound nice =0 ! Even though I still have a lot of practice to speak it without destroying some words at times or without like getting a blank on something I don't use often.
Other then that I understand a few chunks of japenese, mostly since I watched so many animes and played a few games in jap that like I catch the expressions or some sentences through the words I know and such. I really would like to learn that languge more though, since it would be awesome and useful to do so. (I would so import tons of jap games xD)
As for Latin I don't think I'll have much of a chance to learn it much since practicing it will be hard, but it's still an interesting language that I wouldn't mind learning a few words !!

Re: Languages
Well my first language is English, and sadly I don't really know very much of any common speaking languages. The boredom of elementary school Spanish killed that for me XD
I do, however, know a great deal of Latin. It's not a language I speak or ever will speak, but I've been taking it since middle school and have gotten pretty good at translations. It's a ridiculously hard language, but it's so cool anyway, so I'll be translating and swap between thinking DURN THIS ASSIGNMENT THIS IS SO HARD and HOLY SNAP I'M READING THE ORIGINAL AENEID THIS IS BEAUTIFUL. But yeah, it's definitely a cool language to know how to read.
But I'd really love to learn a more practical language. Spanish still makes me cringe, but maybe French?

Re: Languages
My native language is English, but I've taken Spanish since middle school. I could probably translate bits and pieces, especially some of what Spanish speakers say in games of Halo (lol). Every now and then, I think to myself in Spanish almost instinctively, although I haven't used the language since I graduated from high school. I took a semester of beginner's French, but I'm not sure if I'll take another semester, primarily due to conflicting schedules. I do have an interest in German, Russian, and Italian. Oh, and binary, if that counts too.

Re: Languages
I know English very well. Spanish I can understand more than I can speak along with Dutch. I am decent in my home countries language, papiamento. It is from a small Dutch Caribbean island where I was born.

Re: Languages
I was born in the US, so i know EN, i later moved to Isreal for 3 years, so i know hebrew (Not hebraic) then i recently spent three months in costa rica, where i learned spanish. My mom also is fluent in french, so i picked up on that over the years (She is fluent in EN, Hebrew, French, Some random languages from asia/india, and she also spent 2 years in africa, so she speaks 3 african languages.)
