First topic message reminder :

[ATTN: ALL]

It is a beautiful day, around three in the afternoon, the whole of the region suffering from rather strong winds. It is warm and sunny outside, until the wind blows when it is somewhat chilly. The clouds float on by with the wind's direction, giving the blue sky a bit of variation in design. The towns and cities bustle with busy citizens, Guild Hall doors open and close as business concludes and begins for various members and of course, the streets and halls are also busy with chatter--as it would seem that although things are the same today as they would be on any other day, there is one thing that every living person has in common today.

Everyone that is willing to talk about it seems to have this feeling...a feeling of wrongness. Today feels different, somehow, in some way, though no one is certain as to why this is so. Some are mildly worried, others simply casting it off as just a weird phase. Many have approached the Guilds that are local to them, inquiring if anything can be done it. This has led everyone to realize that even magic casters have felt these odd feelings in their guts, though they seem not to know of its cause or how to make the feeling go away. Everyone has been uneasy since they woke from their beds this morning, but they day still continues on, as if the global feeling did not exist...

[Attn: Ilyana's Group, Open]

It was chaos and horror and violence anywhere she turned. She barely heard Nymeria's voice over the din and when she turned to look, she wished she hadn't. Poor Nymeria had been run through, but that concern shot out of her mind as the woman did the unthinkable. As if in slow motion, Nymeria's hand flung the weapon at Sylmeria.

"Nooooo!" she screamed, recoiling, but there was nothing she could do. She bumped into something solid and could only watch as the handle of the weapon hit her arm--and she knew no more.

A powerful pulse rent the air, causing anyone within its radius to stumble and a flash of golden light temporarily stunning anyone who'd been looking in its direction. Malevolent laughter filled the air followed by the sounds of screaming men and women. The man who'd run Nymeria through could only watch in horror at the sight of body parts of his comrades--then was abruptly slammed into by one of the bodies of them sent flying at him.

The Valkyrie reveled in the din, easily sidestepping an attack at her and disemboweling the fool, before slamming the handaxe that had granted her sweet release into the skull of another pathetic weakling, cleaving his skull wide open. Her hands free, she grabbed some dumb bitch by her hair, pulling her head back, then grabbed and ripped her throat out with her free hand, the spurt of blood gushing over the dead bitch's allies as she gurgled to the ground.

That gave the cowards pause and she slammed her fist into one of the men's faces, caving it in with a delightful crunch before kicking the other man in the chest and feeling the delightful crack of his ribs leaving his sternum as he went flying hard into the people behind him, bowling them over. She returned her attention to the ruined man's face as she grabbed him by the neck and with a fierce shout, slammed his face into the ground in a glorious spurt of blood and gore.

More were coming. Beautiful. She relieved the dead asshole of his weapon--a mace and a belt knife--and greeted the arrivals. She smashed the mace into the knee of one attacker, turning her body and sidestepping a sword attack and bringing the knife harshly into the man's groin. He screamed and became immediately boring, so she casually cracked the mace into his skull and he went blessedly quiet. The other man was on the ground trying to crawl away. She picked up the sword and sauntered by him, passing the blade into his throat as she did so.

She strolled up to the one called as Nymeria. "Hello, blood bender," she said sweetly in a deep voice that had never belonged to her inferior. "Thanks for the donation." She unceremoniously pulled the sword out of the woman and walked over to the man who'd planted it into the woman's abdomen in the first place. She slammed the blade to the hilt in the man's crotch. "Stay, worm," she commanded coldly. "When I've had my fill of the others, I'll peel your skin in strips." Her golden eyes met the screaming man's. "How do you like the puppy...?"

She dove forward into the fray, reveling in the paradise of battle.

Guilds Role-Play - Page 18 Post_s10

[ATTN: Chi]
--UMS Territory; Forest, Council State; 6:30PM--

The woman spoke cryptically, but there was much room for interpretation--some more obvious than others. Although part of her would like to believe more positive meanings, Nel knew better. Still, there was only one thing that was going to get her out of here--that damned driver needed to hurry up and get the path cleaned up and catch up to them. It would be less walking for her on this night.

Chi jokes about ghost stories and Nel clears her throat, shaking her head with a negative thought deep in her mind, memories flooding in for just a moment before she pushes them away. There's only so much that one can do here, albeit their power, and it was going to be a long and boring walk. Oh, well. Let the night pass, then. She'll keep her quiet. If there's no need to speak, then there's no need.

Guilds Role-Play - Page 18 Post_s10

[ATTN: Kaimele]
--Terrenia City, Crye Estate; 6:30PM--

The party meandered on and conversation shifted into a more light atmosphere as the music slowed and the guests poured from the room--some off to their rooms and others off to their homes. The few that remained in the room were mostly close friends of the Crye family--you could tell by how they handled each other, how casual they became as the other guests disappeared from the room.

Reese pokes Lord Crye in the arm after some time has passed, his eyes looking earnest as he looks up at the giant man before him with an expression of pleading. The room is more quiet and spacious, now, and as Reese speaks softly to him, his words are more endearing and still easy to hear.

"Old man, won't you perform for us? It's mostly just close friends here; we won't tell a soul." Reese asks.

Lady Crye clears her throat, "Daddy, you've used more than enough for today."

Lord Crye smiles, "Reese makes a request; it would be rude to refuse. Besides, music is in my heart. I can't simply shut it out and ignore it. If we close out the passion in our hearts, all that will remain is duty. No one will be happy when that happens."

He speaks so formally, yet with relaxation in his voice, his hand clasping over his daughter's. She rolls her eyes at his wise words, shaking her head with disapproval despite the approving smile upon her face. You can't really make this man do something he doesn't want to do--the lady knows this. So, she starts to move over some chairs for people to sit more closely. At least, now, she'll get to sit in on one of his rare performances...

Guilds Role-Play - Page 18 Post_s10

[ATTN: Nadia, Rocket]
--S'venton; Nothern UMS, Targon State; 6:30PM-–

Half an hour passes for the small travelling troupe along the dirt path and the ride goes well. Xaroff had painted their guild symbol upon a small curtain before placing it along the carriage just before they departed a second time. This was both good and bad--since it could attract the enemies of their Guild, it made them an easy target to a few. Still, very few want to mess with a Guild, so most will leave them be--especially bandits.

The rest of their ride is in peace as the Guild Hall shows in the distance. They will be able to make it around midnight, probably. Unless Rache is here--Rache sometimes patrols the borders and if he's on duty, his ability helps those who are nearby travel to the Guild Hall more quickly. He doesn't use it for just anyone, but if Rache sees Nadia, he'll do it without even being asked. Xaroff hopes that Rache is on duty.

Attica, sitting in the back, had been humming a song. Her pink, long hair is getting in the way a bit, but it'll be okay. She can still see through the window mostly okay. The sky is clear, the moon is bright--and big. It's not hard to see out there. The stars make for a nice clean view. She can tell that they are about to reach the Guild's perimeter--that means they will soon be on Guild property! Yay!

"We're almost to Quinsenterra soil," Attica says to the zombie girl, "Yay! We're about to be home."

Guilds Role-Play - Page 18 Post_s10

[ATTN: Seere]
--UMS Border Territory, Targon State; White Cross Guild Hall; 6:30PM--

Whip takes Seere to the training hall, Rat feigning disinterest as he sits along the hall's wall with a look of obvious hope for entertainment and intrigue. He is definitely going to enjoy the watch, but so is Whip. There are already two people out there and one of them is Zedd. As they enter the room and Whip takes a seat along the room's edge, she whispers to Seere that they will wait until after this session to start one of their own.

The blue wisp of light flooded out of the helmet, the rune-lit clothing floated before a big man with black, long hair and pale skin. His eyes glared hard at Zedd, his eyes intensely focused upon the spirit before him. The spirit's sword now rests upon the floor, the armor now in a resting position, rather than a fighting position.

Zeddicus, his voice echoing from within the armor's chambers, speaks but one word: "Concentrate."

The black-haired man's face twists with an expression of frustration as his arms, bent out before him, appear to press against an invisible wall. His fingers are bent, claws out as if trying to climb the side of a mountain with only his hands and arms. His arms, now shaking, seem to be pressing against some invisible force that isn't there. Zedd simply floats before him and Rat wonders if the ghost can bring up invisible walls of some kind.

With a call of rage, the black-haired man screams a little as glowing symbols suddenly appear, shining with a deep purple light about those fingers. They are magic circles of some kind, starting small within his palm and then stretching out around his fingers and expanding beyond them until they are at least three feet wide in diameter. The circles spin inside of his hands, now glowing even more brilliantly as the man's expression shifts into calm.

He looks from one hand to the other, his eyes seeming amazed at the glowing, magical symbols within his grasp. His arms don't more, nor do his fingers, but his head shifts from side to side as he marvels at the light he created. With a smile, he nods his head at Zedd before he makes another move. His hands join and the two glowing discs become one, shifting into each other to form a large circle before the man's chest, spinning slowly in the air around all of his fingers.

"I...I can hold it." The black haired man says.

Zedd speaks softly, "You're not ready, Shen. Release your hold."

Shen shakes his head, "I can hold it."

Suddenly, the room grows cold, Shen's breath visible before him in a cloud of steam. His eyes are now glowing, too, shifted into the deep purple of the symbol before him as his smile grows wider, showing his teeth. The floor beneath him, made of stone, suddenly shifts into a deep purple, as if the stone floor had been painted. It starts at Shen's feet and slowly moves outward into the room, followed by a purple...ice?

Standing abruptly, whip's eyes glow a brilliant orange as her face shifts to one of alarm, her hands tightening into fists at her sides as the purple seems to edge towards her. Zedd, already having backed away from the purple tint in the center of the room, keeps to the outside of it as he speaks again, this time with a more sharp tone.

"Shen, you are not ready. Close the door."

"Shen!" Whip says with anger in her voice, "You promised to listen to Zedd! He said you aren't ready!"

Tension rises up into the room, the purple moving out more and stretching closer to the spiritual set of armor as it starts to inch further out of the training room. Whip looks about the room's center frantically, her eyes growing wide as the purple reaches her feet. She's moved closer to Shen to stop him, but becomes enveloped into the purple, herself. Before stepping into the purple, SHen just looked...purple tinted.

Now that she has "entered" the purple on her own, however, she gasps with wide eyes, her hands moving up to her mouth and then to her shoulders as she tries to fight down the cold. She shudders, her own power activating to keep her warm--except that it doesn't work. She's radiating heat, but she's still icy cold. The room looks different, now. Shen looks different, now.

Her and Shen lock their gazes at each other and Shen eagerly asks, "Do you see it, too? Now that you're here?"

She looks around the room, spinning in her spot upon the floor and looking about with awe. Everything looks...twisted. Everything looks...dark. Shen's spirit, she can see it! His soul glows about him--his very aura is a deep purple and black smoke spinning about his physical form like magic! And her aura, a deep orange and yellow gaze of gold and light, shining brilliantly about her with defiance against the dark of the spirit realm.

Shaking her head, she tries her hardest to clear her thoughts. She doesn't know if Rat or Seere stepped into this light--or even if it has spread far enough to reach them or not...Whip forces her concentration onto Shen. What she does know is that Zedd can't escape it--he doesn't move fast enough. If Shen doesn't stop...it will reach Zeddicus! Whip can't allow this to happen. She moves up to Shen closely, just to his right side, and places her hands on his shoulder and arm.

Careful to avoid the glowing symbol that shines before his torso in his hands, she whispers to him softly, "Shen. I see it. And it's beautiful....but, you have to stop now."

Shen looks at her with confusion, but she whispers more quietly to him, now: "Shen. When he said you weren't ready...Zedd means that he isn't ready. Zedd isn't ready to see the spirit realm, right now. Please, don't make him come here again."

[ATTN: Sylmeria, Nymeria, Xiax]
--Infinity Edge Guild Hall; Ventya State - UMS; 6:30PM--

Ilyana's sight is now focused one thing: Sylmeria. The Valkyrie has been released and death has followed. Whatever Gren may have tried to correct has now been undone. The battle should be been one versus one: Her and Ravage only. Still, now blood has been shed, the rules are now crossed on both sides. Battle has begun.

She turns her sights to Sylmeria, her eyes burning with a fierce recognition as she considers how to deal with her. She is about to fly to the demon woman, to stop her slaughter--but Ravage's darkness sears through her back and the Archangel falls to her knees with a call of pain as Ravage laughs from behind her. Tears stream from Ilyana's eyes as she realizes that this woman, this Valkyrie...it will slaughter not just the members of Dark Ascension. It will kill her own. And the Archangel of Infinity Edge failed to save them.

Blood pouring out of the hole in her torso, Ilyana's eyes close as she collapses onto the Earth, Ravage standing over her with an aura of dark satisfaction as he raises an arm of victory over his head. The members of Dark Ascension cheer. And they charge ahead, because the battle has only just gotten started.

[ATTN: CLOSED]
--Ferrum Coordinator Guild Hall, UMS; 6:30PM--

Nadleeh is in her room--the guest room given to her by Ferrum Coordinator. She's aware it's too early to sleep, so she sits cross-legged into the floor's center and begins to pray, her scripture now before her as she readies to read from the holy texts just after the meditation is complete. After she meditates and reads, she'll bathe and then maybe, she'll eat a snack before bed.

It's like the last night of calm and relaxation before their long journey...a Class X mission, a quest that she shouldn't be on...but one that she will take. With the light of Vioria, Nadleeh promises herself that she will find this corruption and take it out. Whatever it is...it is most likely evil. If it truly turns out to be, then Nadleeh will take care of it in Vioria's name, so as to bring the evil to Justice.

What a bunch of cliche shit. Nadleeh rolls her eyes, straightening her back, and then closing her eyes to begin her meditation. Well, cliche she may be, but she is who she is. This is her task, regardless of how common it may be in this world. Nadleeh won't be ashamed of her path. She's been given too much.

Walking further on, she almost forgot what she was looking for. Her right arm would be raised as she pointed to what looked like a small hut in the distance. "There." Chi spoke, "We'll take that down to the lab." she spoke, forgetting how little the girl knew.

"I wouldn't be surprised if they sent us here for the sole purpose of being a suicide mission." Chi admitted, having doubts of the council. "We'll take the rest of the way through my passages. The less they know of my work here, the better. . . "

She paused, wondering how much of her testing and research had been revealed. Not many came into her watch, but many were in her reach. "So tell me," he began to question, "What do you know about these keys?" She wanted to know for her own benefit. If they were going to try to gain the help of other guilds, she needed to have them both on the same page, meaning both her and the girl, as well as the other mages.

There was so much left to question, so many myths woven into her masterpiece of a web. Perhaps they knew everything but dismissed it all as a tall tale. Perhaps Chi had nothing to worry about. . . perhaps.

(ATTN : Lark, Open when reaching the guild)

**Just moving a bit forward =3**

--Ferrum Coordinator Guild Hall, UMS; 6:50PM--

Ryla and Lark reached the guild again soon enough and then smiled. ''Ah finally here ! Woo~ Thanks for helping me carry all these things ! I should probably move to erm.... whatever room should assigned to me.... I have no idea which one though mmm... '' She seemed to be thinking too hard while staying in the middle of the way.

(ATTN : White Cross members/open)

--Ferrum Coordinator Guild Hall, UMS; 6:30PM--

After making sure all his guild members were ready in supplies as well as asking Chirron to go get some extra meds and first aid supplies in case... He was finally into his room to relax. It was about time... He removed a few layers of clothes and then crashed in bed. It may still be early but he was exausted. If anything he'll probably wake up later again and see if anyone needs some first aid help before he'd leave. Things seemed still pretty chaotic sort of. He finally fell asleep.

[Attn: Nadia, Xaroff, Sache, Attica]

-Almost at Quinsennterra-

Rocket had sort of quieted down a bit in the past half hour, her nervous rant actually brought about the realization that she was quite tired. Plus, it had been a long time since she had been in anything this comfortable. Not realizing it, she had dozed off. That was until Attica said something, to which she snapped back to alertness. "Whaa-?" She said they were almost to the guild hall. It took a few seconds to register.... She then looked out the window. It was already dark out again. Of course as long as Coaltar and her had been out that day, not incredibly surprising that they were tired. They had an early start that morning, and there hadn't been a big lack of excitement with the storm they were caught in.
"WOOOOAAAAHH! Quinsennterra soil already?" Shocked
She looked out at the silhouettes of the town in the distance. It was lucky that the moon was pretty bright this evening too. Made it easier to see it even with the trees dotting the path they were going down now. Then there was also the lights coming from town that helped it's visibility.
It had actually been a while since Rockett had been in the area though, as her personal missions had kept her busy elsewhere as of late, and it was both a bit exciting and welcoming to come back.

"I caaan't waaaaaaaiiiiit!! I haven't been in the area in a long time! But it's almost like coming home. I used to STAY in the city all the time! Admiration
...but lately, my training has taken me out into the unknown wilds!!" she said, shifting tone from excitement to one of seemingly faux seriousness.
Despite that, it was pretty certain to anyone that she likely wasn't joking. Probably because Rockett had really addressed everything in this manner so far. Whether they believed her or not, it was clear that she believed it her self, be it real or delusion...

Right now though, Rockett was thinking to herself. She was trying to get pumped up again. This was IT. HER CHANCE TO BECOME PART OF QUINSENNTERRA. This time it HAD to work. HAD TO. Maybe she should ask for suggestions?.... No..... not directly anyway.... >.>

"Um... So how did you become part of Quinsennterra, anyway, Miss Attica? ....I was curious, if you don't mind my asking...." she said, looking at the floor sheepishly and seeming to draw circles on the floor with her toe. =3

Kaimele
{ATTN: Open} --Terrenia City, Crye Estate; 7 PM--

Lord Crye sings for the party, filling the ballroom with a song of light and hope. The lighting in the room flickers and sways, energy pulsating throughout the room in time with his music. The orchestra has joined him, but it is clear that they are used to doing this for him. Or perhaps, they just know the song that he is singing very well.

The party continues and most just listen as the atmosphere of the Lord's magic relaxes all with a calming emotion of contentment. When the small performance is over, everyone claps their hands and the gentle chatter continues.

Not knowing what to expect, Kaimele sits down next to Lady Cyre.  She cannot help but look around as he performs.  It is amazing what he can do.  She has never experienced all her senses being pulled into a performance.  She would love to have him sing while dancing.  The crowd would love it.  She applauds with the others when he finishes.

She looks around the room as the party chatter begins again.  Of course she bounces around the groups to add into the different conversations.  It is so fun being Clementina.

As Clementina is moving from group to group within the room, the atmosphere in the room remains the same. The chatter varies from the performance to the source of the storm to the recent Guild news--after all, Guilds news is always the most influential within the world.

The conversations break up, however, when a new guest arrives. His presence in the room is almost immediately noticed, guests flocking over to him with excited greetings and exclamations of familiar, happy tones.

It isn't long before the man is quite surrounded, various guests trying to speak to him all at once. It isn't until Lady Crye steps in to help that they all start to back off. She starts to pull people away, calmly letting everyone know to let the man breathe.

The man is 5'8 with long and straight, silver hair that flows down to his knees. His clothing is a rich and refined gentleman's suit with touches of silvers and blacks, a traveling cloak brushed over one arm to keep it from the ground with an elegant pose. The most stunning feature of this stoic man, however, is his eyes--they are gold, shining bright in the light like gemstones in contrast with the rest of his paler colors.

Lady Crye says, "Sir Ruoh, an honour! We didn't expect to see you today." The gentleman smiles, blinking as his eyes have fallen upon Clementina, "I heard there was a dancer in town."

As the conversation turns to guild matters, Kaimele forces herself to listen.  Especially now that she has unofficially agreed to become a member of one.  The attention of the crowd suddenly shift to a new guest.  Kaimele glances at the guy quickly as the others gather to him.

He is a handsome man, obviously one that would fit in this crowd quite well.  She is attracted to his eyes though.  She has never seen gold eyes before.  She is surprised when his gaze shifted to her, as she was standing in the back of the crowd.  A dancer?  She knows she is popular, but never knew that her abilities were talked about outside of town though.

She allows Clementina to take over as she walks toward the man.  “Sir Rouh, it is a pleasure to meet you.  My name is Clementina, may I ask why you are in need of a dancer?”  There a soft curious smile on her face.

Ruoh bows to her, taking her hand in his and kissing the back of it with grace as one of the servants take his travelling cloak from his arm and shoulders. Lord Crye laughs a little with a warm welcome, as well, just before Clementina's words.

Ruoh says, "Why, to dance, of course. I must say, I'm sincerely disappointed that I missed the big gala."

Lord Crye laughs again, "Hey, Allas, you know you're always welcome here. I guess you got a little jealous when you heard about all our fun that we just hated to have without you."

Ruoh smiles, "Quite, my Lord. Quite. A pleasure to see you again. And a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Clementina. My, you are quite lovely--so many lovely ladies here this fine evening."

Clementina blushes at the formal gesture.  “I will love to schedule a performance for you Sir Rouh.”  Inside she is so excited.  Her dancing career is finally taking off.  She cannot wait to tell her grandmother about his tomorrow.  She watches his eyes as she waits for the gentlemen to finish talking.  “I am sure we will talk later Sir Rouh.”  She steps back allowing the others to greet him as well.

Lord Crye does a great job of getting a lot of the guests to calm their excitements so that he can talk with the man--the two speak loudly about art--as it would seem, Mr. Ruoh is one. The conversation reveals that the man did, in fact, create a lot of the carpentry in this very estate.

Though the chatter keeps calm, it is clear that most grow bored of the man, finally, and the space begins to clear. It isn't long before it's just Reese, who has yet to speak to Ruoh at all, Lord Crye, and the gentleman, himself. They seem to get a bit quiet, but Lord Crye doesn't wait for Clementina to back away before changing the tone of the conversation.

"I assume Lady Aurella sent you here?" Lord Crye asks directly, "Is that the true reason for your visit?"

"Mmmmm," Ruoh's tone moves to disapproval, his expression revealing his distaste for the man's candidness, "Here I was having a good visit. Weren't you having a good visit?"

"You are an important man. You haven't the time for pleasantries and parties," Reese says bluntly. He seems rather unhappy with the conversation, all of a sudden.

She backs away, but not too far in case Sir Rouh wants to schedule a performance.  She watches the gentleman and hears the tone of the conversation change.  It appears there may be some other business going on.  She knows she should not listen, but at the same time she is curious.  She watches the men and can see that Reese does not like Sir Rouh.  She will ask him later for more details, especially since she is new to this crowd.

Ruoh takes a seat at one of the various tables, his voice becoming more hushed, "The Unfortunate Thirteen have been listening to Lady Aurella's advice. It would seem they would be willing to expedite your Guild Registration process upon certain compromises. My Lady de Gant, as usual, is impeccable with diplomatic matters."
"We are still short a man," Lord Crye says with surprise, "We are still short on...well, a lot. We still have so much to do."

"Yes," Ruoh replies mischievously, "You do. Yet, it can all be done with and you can be your own Guild rather soon...if you want."

"What's the catch?" Reese asks cautiously.

Sir Rouh’s voice softens however they do not appear to be upset that she is listening.  It appears they are talking about guild business.  She wonders if Sir Rouh is a member of another guild.  If so why is he interested in helping Lord Crye’s get established.  She looks at Lord Crye.  “Will you still be short if I do become a member?”  She puts her fingers to her lips hoping they won’t be upset.  “Please forgive me for eavesdropping, but I know how important the guild is to you.”  She looks over at Reese to gauge his opinion.

Reese smiles sweetly, pulling open a chair for her, "Oh, Clementina! You're welcome to join us--please forgive our rude behavior. I should have offered you a seat."

Lord Crye nods his head apologetically, but then smiles with his friend, "Yes. You will fill the gap, if you decide to join--but do not feel pressured, my dear. No matter what, you will always be welcome into our Guild."

Ruoh's eyes widen with surprise, "A magic user? How intriguing. I did not realize that you were already up to openly recruiting to the public. I was lead to believe that your Guild is all still quite the secret."

Lord Crye says without explanation, "It is."

Reese adds, "Yes, but Lady de Gant was not happy about the news...about our Guild. Why is she helping us, now?"

Ruoh smirks with amusement, "Lady Aurella isn't doing this for you. She's doing it for Ilyana. Her guild has been attacked by Dark Ascension."

"What?!" Lord Crye says with shock, his hands coming down a little hard on the table.

"Yes," Ruoh says warily, "The Guild is currently in an all out war with them. The Unfortunate Thirteen are displeased...Dark Ascension is now disbanded. They are to be hunted, now...and the Thirteen wants your Guild to do it."

“I never did say I was a magic user.”  Clementina sits in the chair that Reese offers.  “And they did not actively recruit me at all.  Events happened that made the topic come up.”

Clementina jumps slightly when Lord Crye’s hands hit the table.  She listens to Ruoh intently.  “Questions regarding the Dark Ascension and guild politics aside, why would the Unfortuntate Thirteen want a current unestablished guild to hunt them down?  I am sure there are other guilds who would jump at the chance to take them out.”  She thinks of her brothers and know they would do just that.  She looks at Ruoh not knowing if she can trust him.  She knows Reese has his reservations and it appears that Ruoh’s guild and theirs would be at odds.

Ruoh nods his head with understanding at her inquiry, "Ah, yes. Many will join this hunt. However, Lady Aurella is wanting someone to go to the Infinity Edge Guild, personally, to assist the defense against the attack. That means putting a lot of guild members on the line at once. There's a massive battle happening right now, as we speak.

Most guilds will join the hunt...but most will not wish to take part in this one. It's a sound decision, but...Ilyana needs help. And so, in return for a quick Guild establishment, Lord Crye can start his Guild's story with a battle of epic proportions...and risks."

Reese's expressions shifts to a darker one, clearly displeased. He almost says something, but his mouth shuts. Lord Crye sighs. It's quite the favor to ask of them, to be sure.

"I assume we are not the only ones she is asking to go into battle for Infinity Edge," Lord Crye says with mild curiosity.

"Not at all. There will be others to join this fight. And I will be fighting with Quinsenterra." Ruoh replies.

It sounds like a desperate request.  She knows that her abilities will be useful.  However, is she ready for the notoriety that will come with it?  “Hearing that eases my mind slightly, Sir Ruoh.”  She looks between Reese and Lord Cyre.  She is concerned about Reese’s expression and hopes to talk to him privately about this.  She is wringing her hands under the table wondering what the hell she got herself into.  Maybe she should write her brothers about this.

Silence has befallen the table as the four look at each other with a bit of tension and uncertainty. For a few moments more, Ruoh seems quite sad, but after a breaking the silence with a sad hum, he says, "It would be best to let you think on it. Fortunately, time is a luxury that we have. For tonight, at least. Why don't you talk it over and I can visit again in the morning?"

"That would be best," Lord Crye says, standing. Reese stands up quickly, too, clearly eager to be done with this business of Ruoh, "You can retire here for the evening, should you desire. I can have my daughter show you to a room."

"Ah," Ruoh says with a pleasant tone, "Too kind! Thank you, Lord Crye. I shall retire for the evening, then. I do have some small business in town, but as soon as I finish up I shall return and I'll be sure to keep out of your way."

"Of course, if you need anything, my daughter will tend to your needs," Lord Crye says as he beckons to his daughter. Her expressions looks reserved as she smiles and bows to him, taking his arm so they can walk away together.

"Lady Clementina," Lord Crye says, "I must discuss Guild matters in my office, now. It is my desire for you to know that you can see yourself out of this business at any time. Or in. Or anything. As a possible, future Guild member, you have a right to know how we work. You also have a right to stay away from such nasty business. Though the party is closed, you are welcome here for as long as you'd like. I apologize that the party has been cut so short."

Kaimele watches Sir Ruoh leave with Lady Cyre.  She nods at Lord Cyre.  “I understand Lord, I thank you for having me here and for the opportunity to join your guild.  I will give you my answer tomorrow as well.”  She looks over at Reese.  “Please feel free to visit with me before you leave.  I will see you in the morning Lord Cyre.”  She watches them leave before getting one last drink.    The servants are already starting their cleanup.  From there she heads to her room.

Nel shakes her head immediately in response, "I don't know much, only what the files say.  The keys are a secret that each of the prominent Guild Masters hold, so as to safeguard some kind of gate that they open together.  I heard that Sheherazade lost their Guild Master over a key--but I had believed it was just rumors until this case file revealed that the keys actually exist.

Have you known about the keys this entire time?  And about the gate?  And what about the Hallows....what do you know about those?"

Attica listens to the excitable girl with a smile on her face.  She feels bad for how the girl looks, but she does like her.  She seems very nice.  When she asks how she joined the Guild, the girl shrugs, kicking the empty seat that is opposite of her with her toes as she gives a half-frown.

"Eh, I got a rich family.  They wanted me to be more 'refined' and all that, because I wasn't lady-like enough for the rest of my sisters.  They knew Quin would teach me all that I need to know--and they did!  Still, they don't make me act like a snot all of the time, so I've ended up liking it here more than I thought I would.  I thought it would be like a prison, at first."

With another glance out the window, she smiles as she realizes that Rache is outside.  Rache will teleport them to the Guild hall--but it'll make for a bumpy ride.  The carriage starts to slow and then stop and Attica looks pointedly at the girl before her with a small seriousness.

"One of our guild-mates is nearby--guess she's on patrol.  Rache is gonna teleport us to the Guild Hall!   It'll make for a bit of a nauseating ride, though, so be prepared for that."

The door opens and Xaroff is standing there, looking in to see that Nadia is still asleep.  He gestures to her while he turns to talk to Rache, a wild-looking redhead behind him.  "As you can see, she's asleep."

"Ah,"  Rache says from outside, but waving at the two girls with a big smile, "I can transport you guys, then, no problem.  What's uh....who's this?"

Xaroff gestures to the girl, "Well, you know Attica and this is...Rocket.  She's looking to join Quin, so we are on our way to take her there.  You're gonna get her there, faster, so I'm sure she appreciates you."

It wasn't until she explained it, that Chi realized how out of touch she was with the world. She had done so much of her own research, naming things in her own tongue and recording everything under different titles. She knew everything in this world, but by so many different names. All of which, would be unknown to the girl until it was needed.

She would be silent until they reached the hut, her mind thinking. They rolled over every guild and their master, trying to pin faces to names she had almost forgotten.

"Everyone says key, but I really think they're stones or a book of some kind." she would admit. "I've never seen one up close, at least not that I knew of. As far as the gate, the portal, rip in time. . . It doesn't matter what anyone calls it. Power was divided to try and keep it out of the hands of evil, but look at all of the good that's doing." She would open the wooden door to show a single door on the ground. She would crouch to the door and lift the steel thing with a single hand, showing a ladder going not so deep below. It was dimly lit, as if by candles, but books could be seen in what looked like a cave.

"There's tons of strange monsters. The scouts I hired before met a few of them, and none of them were nice about it. . . nor did any of the men come back alive. In any case, in order for them to know what all of these keys do, they'd have to have brought them together first, yes? These monsters and creatures everyone is afraid of have to be from that world everyone is trying to keep out of darkness hands . . . " She would smile before jumping down the hole, almost ignoring the ladder.

"I want to see what they're trying to hide." She would let out a giggle. After all, any lock could be picked. You don't always need the key. . .

Wiping her brow tiredly Sonja defuses with Corona and makes her way to the guild bath to relax. Despite Corona insuring her that their practice session progressed the connection, Sonja didn't believe it at all. Everything she had just done, entering the partial fusion state, manifesting a small sphere of water, and turning the sphere into a small cloud of mist, was the exact same thing she has been doing for the past few weeks and she wasn't getting any better at it. At best she was only a hair less tired than she had been afterwards yesterday.

Picking on on Sonja's feelings and frustrations Corona speaks up, inside of Sonja's head of course, "Don't be so hard on yourself Sonja what we are doing, and working towards, are not easy tasks. Even if things were different and and my water magic was directly yours you still wouldn't have much control yet. You're young and have yet to physically, mentally, spiritually, and most importantly magically, matured enough yet. As it is we are having to fuse together our very essences to essentially create a new person entirely through magic. One day all of this will seem the easiest thing in the world but before hand we have to struggle through day to day and take what headway we can. Even just being a little less tired is something to be proud of at this stage."

Letting out a sigh and rolling her eyes Sonja responds with, "I know all of that Corona! You make sure I do on practically a daily basis and I really wish you would shut up. The only thing that information does is make life even more frustratingly slow." As she finished her thought reply to Corona Sonja found herself in the bathroom. As to be expected the bath was already made and presumed with floral scents and a stunning, and simple, evening dress from her wardrobe was placed near by, but far enough away to remain dry. Slipping into the war delicately scented water Sonja felt her stresses and frustrations melting away. Getting out only once the water was to cold to be comfortable Sonja dried off and slipped into the new dress before heading out to the guild lounge to relax even further.

Gale was tired, no, exhausted. Why? Well he was up all day climbing a mountain, but that's not a first. He hadn't had a warm meal in ages, but that's the norm when you can't cook. Bad day? All of em are. Sick? Not Likely. No, what tired Gale out was his travelling company. The man's name was Herbert and he was a bandit. Bandit who liked to sing. A bandit who liked to sing tavern songs horribly.
"Well I,-"
"Sing Donegal Danny ONE MORE TIME, and I'll throw you off the nearest cliff!" bellowed Gale.
"Easy, you're gonna bring the mountain down on us," chided Herbert.
"Just shut up."
Silence.
"You know you're lost."
"No, I'm not."
"Yes, you are."
"No, I'm not."
"Yes, You are."
"No, I'M NOT!"
Gale's voice reverberated through the mountainside, echoing ominously. Gale fell silent.
...
Nothing.
"Listen," Herbert moved around in front of Gale, gesturing with his bound hands," I'm no detective, but that cute little cow tag on your neck is telling me your in the Infinity Edge, right? Well then you're headed in the wrong direction. Your guild is south, you're headed west."
"And?"
"'And'?' And'? That's the Rhodes Guild. You know, the other guild full of delusional vigilantes. You turn me in there you won't get near as much money."
Gale thought of the Rhodes Guild. In another time, he would have given anything to join them, but now there were too many familiar faces, too many empty memories.
"Who cares, they'll help ensure you get justice, and I'll be on my way," Gale affirmed, moving past Herbert," besides I have business, in Rhodes."
"Well, I guess this can't wait then."
Gale cried in pain, as a knife sliced into his arm. He whirled around to see Herbert licking his revealed blade. His eyes grew dark, and his smile filled with needle like fangs.
"Hold still," mused Herbert as he pounced.
In a flurry of blows Gale retaliated, striking Herbert's wrist with his walking stick and following up on his temples.
*Flumpf.*
Gale sighed as he mused as to how exhausting it would be to carry Herbert to Carter's Town.
"You know," Gale stated," Circumstances aside, I'd say I would actually like my walking stick."
He slung Herbert over his shoulder and walked on.

The battle begins, magic against magic as explosions can be heard in the distance. Elements of all kinds can be seen, magical blasts and whips of various types fly through the air. The void around the Valkyrie has cleared, but as Ilyana has collapsed in her own pool of blood, Ravage has grown quite bored. It would seem that the Valkyrie is his to take care of.

Approaching her, he watches as she puts down two of his men in one fell blow. With a shake of his head, he realizes that this will need to end quickly. He calls out to her, an arm raised. "I challenge you, war beast!"

Nel's eyes widen with surprise, climbing down the ladder with caution before she turns to face the woman with her palms up in a defensive pose before her. Her expression shows alarm and her she shakes her head at the woman with unease.

"Woah, woah!" Nel says, "You mean to tell me that when we get to the Hallows...if we find the gate...you want to open it??"

--Quinsenterra Guild Hall; 7pm--

On this dark evening, quiet has fallen through the calm of the absent storm that had been there only a few hours earlier. However, a familiar sound can be heard outside, just in front of the Guild Hall's gate. The sound is low, at first, like a dull and deep hum. However, after a few more seconds, the tone raises an octave and a familiar pop is heard before a carriage appears before the gates with Rache. Rache is on patrol duty tonight, which means she keeps the perimeter cleared of any beasts and alerts the Guild of any potential dangers or attack.

However, when she's on patrol, she's often asked to use her abilities to teleport those that are far away closer to the Guild Hall to save them travel time. In most cases, Rache says no--after all, why waste her powers on that when she might need it in an emergency? However, if a high ranking member asks, she's much more willing to do as she is asked.

Sache and Xaroff are in the front seat. Sache remains in his seat, but Xaroff hops off to open the carriage door. Attica jumps out and does a nice, long stretch with a yawn. Nadia follows, her eyes looking at Attica's behavior with disapproval. She's not being very lady-like at the moment. Nadia says nothing, moving forward and entering the Guild Hall with little words. Attica waits for Rocket, so as to give her the tour. When Rocket exits the carriage, Sache moves the carriage once more, probably to take it to the stable house for the horses.

Her carefulness was amusing. For Chi, it was like having a toy to play with. Emotions were just strings you pulled on the puppets to make them do funny dances. . .

"Okay, say I'm wrong." she would begin. "Lets say these creatures everyone is worried about are just the essence of evil and DIDN'T come from this gate. Then perhaps the only way to stop them, is getting the keys together anyways." She spoke, turning around to see many books scattered around the room. Surely someone had been there, and it wasn't her butler. But unless they knew how to the read in the language of . .

"No matter how you look at it, all the keys have to be recovered. People are going mad with the idea of power. And you're telling me you're not the least bit curious as to where this gate is, and why everyone put in such a grand effort to keep it a secret?"

She wasn't sure what side was good or bad. All she knew was that she fought for herself. The council was corrupt, heroes fell with time and allies always turned into enemies. After all, it's only your friends who stab you in the back.

"There's more questions than we have answers. They sent us her to find what? Our death?" she let out a laugh, thinking about how much everyone else really knew. "We're just freaks who preform miracles. Maybe the gate leads us to a utopia, or perhaps a hell. We'll never know until we look."

[ATTN: Gale]
--Road to Carter's Town; 7:10pm--

Ms. Carrigan is an old lady, still elegant for an eighty year old while managing to still wear clothing that the youngsters wear without looking ridiculous.  She's not the type of woman to just use the modern "slang" that the kids like to use, but she can at least fit in at first glance.   She's riding a small, slow horse, albeit with a lack of grace.  With both legs over to the right side, she rides with as much of a lady-like manner as she can.

The Quinsenterra magical mark on her right cheek is colored lightly in a deep, dark maroonish-pink.  Although the small horse she is a deep brown, for some reason, the horse seems to stand out on this peaceful road, the trees and grass all seem dull to her in color.  Then again, maybe her sight is failing her...Ms. Carrigan yawns, a hand over her mouth to cover it.  Even when alone, one should never lose hold of one's manners.

Looking ahead, she squints her eyes, seeing a figure in the distance.  It would seem they are advancing slowly...someone that's walking in the opposing direction.  Interesting.  Delivery work was getting rather boring, but if there's someone to chat with for a few moments, that'll make the day's travel pass along more quickly.  When the figure gets a little closer, she realizes that it is, in fact, two people--one of which is unconscious and being carried over the shoulder of the other.

"My, my,"  Ms. Carrigan mutters to herself, but she raises a hand in greeting at the traveler.  Her horse, which isn't really hers, has that Rhodes Guild symbol on it.  She thinks their symbol looks rather garish, but that's just personal tastes.  However, if these two are headed for Rhodes, it would be polite to lend them the horse--after all, that would get the horse back home.  Besides, Quinsenterra isn't that far along, it would be a short walk home.

As they get closer, Ms. Carrigan smiles, "Hello!  Headed to Rhodes, are you?"

Nel sighs, shaking her head.  This woman is odd.  She seems so against all these secrets--but that's all that the Unfortunate Thirteen do.  Even the Guild Council keeps secrets.  Everyone knows that, they are like any government.  Everything is and always has been on a need-to-know basis.  If she's so against the organization's methods, why is she part of it?  It's really weird.

"Look, I don't like secrets, either,"  Nel says, "but you can't just...tell everyone that there's a giant gate to evil just sitting on our island's back door and expect everyone to be okay with it.  There would be mass panic.  And then, they'd blame us mages for it.  It's always a mage's fault, every time.  It's just the society's mentality.  It's the way.

Regardless, it'll take days for us to get to the Hallows.  And the Guild members we are supposed to meet there--how much are they going to be told about this?  I mean, if we say too much and those members are only told a little...well, then how are we supposed to get near the gate without letting them in on a thing or two?  I mean, I understand that we need them to survive in the Hallows--almost no one comes out of there--but isn't it a little too risky to have random people shoved together when we don't even know each other?  Shouldn't we at least know how to fight together as a team?"

Gale looked at the stranger approaching them. He never had a mind for fashion, but at the bare minimum he could spot a Quin Mage.
His traveling companion was still out cold, but that wouldn't be permanent. He could use the aid.
Gale gave a practiced smile.
"Hello there! Off to Carter's Town?"

Hopping down from her horse almost immediately, the old lady does her best to give a polite curtsy before she smiles back at him with a short reply, "I'm headed home, to Quin. Rhodes lent me a horse--now isn't that nice of them? They have so many youngsters in their membership. Anyway, if you're headed that way, this horse could use someone to take it home."

"Thank you, milady," Gale bowed. "What news do you have of the world? I have been... Preoccupied."

Ms. Carrigan shakes her head, "Oh, dear, Rhodes is as ridiculous as ever. I don't mean that as in insult--I just mean that they can be cluttered, sometimes--much like my brain. Quinsenterra is the same as always, but we're still new and recruiting. Although, I believe I heard that Dark Ascension has been closed down. There's going to be bounties on anyone with their mark...plenty of bounty work ahead of us all."

"Hm. Dark Ascension is not likely to scatter. Thank you again Milady where I come from a stranger's kindness is remembered and passed on. Goodbye."

The old lady chuckles, nodding her head and curtsying once more as she walks along towards her goal. It took very little time to convey her own goodbyes before she sauntered on and outwards way from the strange individual that carried another strange individual upon his shoulder.

Gale layed Herbert across the saddle and bound him to the pony. He then closed his eyes and muttered. Around him his nimbus gathered buffeting the the dirt on the path.

He led the pony at a swift trot, he was impatient to hear from Rhodes. Dark Ascension has had this day coming, and maybe someone is out of hiding holes. Either way, a storm was brewing.

Her face would scrunch up in massive disbelief and disapproval. "Pssshh" She looked at Nel again, "We tell them we're going to a parallel world. Say the portal has the answer to the origins of magic." She turned her back to grab a few pages that lay loose on top of the books. "Everyone on this mission has accepted their fate long before even getting close. You're telling me you feel one-hundred percent safe here in the middle of these woods in a secret lab looking for old pages of...'

She looked at her papers. Each of them had what looked like parts of a map. Many of the pages torn or burned. They were scavenged for sure, but where did they lead?

". . . Doesn't matter." she said aloud, "I accepted my death long ago, that's what I'm trying to say. Every time you practice a new spell, a new ability, you risk harming yourself in such a way you'll never heal or even killing yourself with your magic. Our abilities alone will kill us. All I want as a few answers from this gate-to-possible-hell. I want to know what this place we're hiding is, and if possible, the truth behind magic, or at least something new."

Turning back to her, she would hold the pages together, showing a diagram to the heart of the forest. A smile fell upon Chi's face as she held up the taped pieces of paper.

"Now, we can play by the rules and tell the other mages on a need-to-know basis, or we can go alone and see what we can uncover before the others get here." She leaned in, waiting for an answer. "This might lead to the gate, or it might lead to something else. I honestly haven't a clue. I found these pages years ago."

She stood among the wreckage of bodies she'd created, armed to the teeth with knives, blades, and assorted weaponry -- enough for spares, but not so much as to hamper her movement. It seemed a free-for-all as they seemed to all be fighting each other. Well. A free-for-all for her, anyway.

She was aware of the powerful presence approaching her and regarded him with a grim smile. He raised a hand. "I challenge you, war beast!" The arrogance.

Her smile widened. "Not worth my time, veslingr." She cut her eyes at him dismissively and charged away into another fray to test her theory, felling more men, but never completely letting him out of her sight. Her smile grew as more blood was shed.

[Attn: Nadia, Xaroff, Sache, Attica, Rache, Anyone in Earshot at Quinsennterra]

--Quinsenterra Guild Hall; 7 PM--

"WOOOOAAAHHH!!!" Admiration "QUINSENTERRAAAA!!! AWESOOOME!!"
Rockett couldn't quite contain herself at the moment.... She had managed to at least thank Rache before she got out.... but when she looked up at that big, beautiful guild hall, she couldn't contain herself... Yeah, she had seen it plenty of times.... but the thought of getting to actually GO IN?? She was beside herself with excitement... not out of the ordinary for her, but she was still quite exhausted from the day and the long ride, so the boost of adrenaline was something. Sir Coaltar looked at her curiously, cocking his head to the side, but said nothing. He just looked back and forth between the guild hall and the glowing expression on her face and waited for something to happen.

Rockett remembered back to her conversation with Attica earlier. She understood her situation, being raised "proper" but it was kind of crazy to her to hear how it felt, knowing where she was now. Rockett would have given anything to be able to get in the guild so easily, and she told Attica as much. "That's so greeaat!! I wish I could have gotten in so young, of course, I kind of understand, I think I would have felt the same way at that young though.... well, maybe not, I kinda looked up to them, but I guess if I were forced to be in one... um.. yeah!" she had ended her reply with a bit of enthusiasm that would have felt disingenuine from anyone else.

She had kind of just left it at that. But although she liked Attica a lot, she kinda wished she took it for granted a bit less. It was a bit sad to her, really. She hoped she wouldn't feel the same... Right now, though, none of that mattered.. this was IT. It was finally her chance to prove herself to the guild, and she had to get it together.

She quickly realized this, straightening herself up as they were about to enter the guild... she HAD to be impressive and LADYLIKE now...

She was really happy that teleport didn't make her sick, that would have bee--

Rockett quickly shouted "EXCUSE ME FOR A MOMENT!!!" Shocked running over to a nearby bush, where it was hard to hear *PUKE*....

She stepped out a few moments later, catching her breath, luckily clean still; she had not gotten barf on herself... "It would appear my nerves have gotten the best of me, I'm very sorry!!" she said as 'properly' as she could think of, motioning her hand to her mouth as if dabbing it with a napkin that wasn't actually there.

Hopefully she would be okay.... Hopefully...

Gale was anxious, it had been four years since he'd last visited the guild and little had changed inside. The Shield still stood in solidarity, members still constantly sized each other up and jested in kind competition, and the supposedly happy atmosphere left Gale empty. He missed this place, and because of that he regretted coming back.
But things have changed, Gale thought. The Dark Ascension was disband surely this means that his quarry has exposed himself, or perhaps someone who knows him.
The worst part was still to come though, Connor was a friend of everyone in the guild, including Bolt, Gale's father. He had trusted Connor with his books including the tempest tomes.
Gale wasn't good at being polite or social, a skill lost to time, but he needed to be, now more than ever. Connor had everything he needed, and as far as Gale understood, no reason to give it to him.

[Attn: Infinity Edge/Dark Ascension battle.]

Ready to fall beneath the rising tides of agony, Xiax was close to losing consciousness. Except there was Legion with all It's voices, it's loud nagging voices. They urged, they pleaded, they demanded much of him. Their droning voices incessantly nagged him, and it helped. He couldn't see or hear much, but the voices of the Many yet One helped him find focus in the sea of torment that he was adrift in.
At first Xiax didn't want to listen, for some part of him worried he might be going insane, and perhaps he was. With his power directed inward, forced inward, he was able to feebling grasp at the floating grains of sand that drifted around him. Grabbing them, Xiax listened to the Voices telling him to push them deep inside and hold them close. They kept up their incessant chatter as he gathered up the grain by grain. He couldn't notice any difference, after all no one could notice the difference of the weight of a single grain of sand. What Xiax wasn't able to notice was that he was getting faster at gathering up those grains of sand, and that he was more easily able to find them.
After gathering up hundreds or thousands, Xiax was able to notice that the pain was weakening and the Legion of Voices couldn't be much more than a dozen. If listening to the voices made Xiax insane, then Xiax was gladly skipping down the road doing cartwheels and somersaults to their tune.
Blinking open his eyes, "Thank you Nine." Xiax groaned out in gratitude. Feeble like a invalid Xiax rose to his feet. Four invisible tethers reached out towards the people who had taken of him, drank of his power Infuse. He couldn't see very far, his nearsightedness was noticeable worse, and his vision was still watery and blurry. His steps were shaky and he wobbled when he jumped out of the way of some nearby battlers. Trying to get his bearings, he tried to grasp at what was going on. Having to keep his distance was hard with everyone moving about without any regard to his condition. The movement caused his vision to blur, but as soon as it was gone he caught sight of Ilyana. Dashing over as fast as he can, his hand stops a few inches above her back.
"Choose Carefully"
"You can only choose one"
"You're too weak"
"Your cup only has backwash"

The Nine seemed to make alot of sense. Xiax didn't feel all together, whatever they had done to help snap him out of it, didn't fix him up. He was still weak, worn out and in a ton of pain. He didn't know what to do. All he wanted was to heal Ilyana but he knew his power didn't work like that, it wasn't useful like that. "Who?" he asked of the Nine as he scanned around trying to find a suitable candidate. He had a vague sense of where Gren, Kennot, Nymeria and Slymeria where but not which of them was which.

[OOC Attn: Gren, Kennot, and Slymeria: Xiax's power should start to fade in a minute. It might be slightly disorienting when it disappears, which may affect some people more than others.]

Guilds Role-Play - Page 18 Post_s10

[ATTN:  ALL]
--Braeguard Island; 8:00pm - 8:00am--

As the night calls upon the world and dominates the skies, many of the people soon head into their homes.  It is the time of rest and of a traveler's wish to be homeward bound.  As the great battle of the Infinity Edge presses on, deep words whisper into the minds of those attackers that press them into a retreat--magically fading from view, surely as they give vocal promises to return at a clock's single passing.  This meant twelve hours.  Twelve hours to recover, to move away their wounded--and to control their own..."unique" situation.

Even as Ravage takes his leave of the place, he spits upon the body of the Infinity Edge Guild Master, an insult left to give flame of promise into the next day. Of course, he is quite surprised that they should leave--but one of Dark Ascension does not ignore the voices in their head.  To do so would be foolish and deadly.  And so, with their magics and black cloaks of promising menace, the Guild members fade from the battle field, leaving fear, death, gore, and a wild Valkyrie behind them.

Night falls, destinations are met--or perhaps, a traveler must rest upon the road.  Regardless of where one may be, it is felt, on this night of all nights, that resting is needed.  Nel, although still cofused of their topic of discussion and of the strange and sudden change of her location  underground, somehow finds no energy to press on.  She lays her head upon the nearest comfortable substitute for a pillow and falls asleep.

The Guild Hall doors close, the lights dimming and the little Rocket is escorted to a guest room--as it is too late in the evening for the girl to be analyzed for Guild membership.  She is welcome warmly into the Hall just before they close, of course--somewhat awkwardly and with certain stares, but Attica makes her presence known to be accepted with stares of her own.  She makes sure that their guest has enough to eat and drink before she, too, tiredly slips off to bed.

OOC:
This is a small time skip--if you still wish to post what occurs to/around your character during the time skip, please feel free to do so!  This is by no means a request to skip your evenings!  I just wish to balance out the timing differences of various situations and to smooth away into the next day.

If you'd prefer to skip anything further for your night (and you feel you have nothing going on around your character for now), you can also feel free to do.  With our next posts, we should finish our nights as we desire and be ready to head into the next day.  If you have any questions, just let me know.

Kaimele
{ATTN: Open} --Terrenia City, Crye Estate; Overnight -6 ish am--

Once in the room Kaimele changes out of her costume.  She lets down her hair and brushes it out.  She is thankful there is a shower in the room.  Once does not realize how dirty she feels at least.  Soon the makeup is off and she is brushing her hair again and braids it for the night.

She packs her things, worried about the meeting.  She looks at her reflection in the mirror.  She is at an impasse.  Does she join the guild or not?  She has avoided the guilds for so long.  She knows that Lord Cyre will remain true to his word.  Word of her magic will come out though.  At least with this guild she will be protected.

She waits a little longer just in case Reese decides to stop by.  She has to admit she is tired.  Eventually she goes to bed and falls asleep.

She wakes up the next morning, not realizing where she is until she opens her eyes.  The guest room could never be mistaken for her own.  She quickly gets dressed.  She puts on her purple wig, light makeup, and one of her nicer dresses.  She gathers her bags and exits the guest room.  The bags are immediately taken by the servants.  She follows the servant to protest, but is stopped by Reese.  “Good morning Reese, I hope you slept well.  I was not expecting to see you up this early.”

{Open} --Lacrima Inn Lobby, UMS; Overnight--

Jacobi cannot remember the last time he had so much fun.  He rolls over and sees the naked woman beside him.  He cannot remember her name.  He gets out of bed and throws on his clothes.  All the keys are delivered, and now he can return this compass back.  He is not looking forward to going to Quinn, but at the same time it may be fun to intimidate them a little bit.

He leaves the room with his bags, not even giving a second glance at the woman still asleep.  He goes to the lobby and tosses a few extra coins.  “My guest will be staying a little late.  Now if you excuse me I have a train to catch.”

He walks to the train station, pleased that after yesterday’s events everything is back to normal.  He gets his ticket and sits down on the bench.  He digs out the key left behind for him and stares at it.  He is not afraid of others, knowing that he will be able to intimidate one who dare comes near him.

[ATTN: Rocket, Nadia]
--Quinsennterra Guild Hall; 7pm--

Just as Sonja was entering the guild lounge she heard the, now somewhat familiar, sound of Rache's teleportation magic at work just outside. Out of curiosity and boredom she makes her way outside to see what was going on as Rache wasn't due back from patrol for quite sometime yet. By the time she made it outside to see the sound had stopped and a carriage was just outside the guild's gate that had Sache and Xaroff up front and who only knew in the back. Before long first Nadia, then Attica, and finally Rocket come out of the carriage once Xaroff opens the door.

To say the three passengers were all polar opposites would have been considered an understatement by Sonja's judgement. In truth she hardly knew anything about any of them, especially Rocket who she had not the displeasure of meeting and hoped that it would stay that way too. What she did know of Nadia and Attica left her feeling respect for Nadia and envious of Attica. Resting her eyes on Rocket one last time a sour taste filled her mouth and despite being both rude and unlady like she turned around and headed for her living chambers suddenly feeling tired and in need of a nice long rest. Once in her bed Sonja quickly drifted off hoping that her dreams wouldn't be filled with the horror of zombies.

Guilds Role-Play - Page 18 Post_s10

[ATTN: Sylmeria, Nymeria, Xiax]
--Infinity Edge Guild Hall; Ventya State - UMS; 12AM to 8AM--

With assistance from all of the Guild members of Infinity Edge, Kennot strategized a way to bring Sylmeria down.  Gren's assistance did all the things in the world to assist them in every way that they could.  Taking the girl down to whom she was before was a chore--and it caused many injuries, much suffering.  And the grounds surrounding the Guild Hall was covered in bodies--in blood and death.  Kennot saw many chores and tasks ahead, but all he could do was look at his members and find exhaustion.  Sadness.

Together, the Guild formed a circle, careful to help those that were severely injured and weak so that they could also participate.  As the Circle formed, Kennot moved to the center as he had a few higher ranking members bring out as many candles as they could find.  The candles were passed around and lit, lighting up the night sky with the Guilds' sorrows.  Weeping began, despair began to sink as the grieving began.  Kennot spoke loudly to the circle, members and visitors alike as he turned to face those that felt only hopelessness.

Kennot says, "Infinity Edge is the blade of Infinite Justice.  We fight for those who are weak, powerless.  We fight for ourselves.  We fight for good, for the law, and for the people of our town that live just thirty minutes down the hill.  The lands about us have been soiled, covered in battle--but this fight isn't over.  Our losses are great and we will record them.  The names lost here today will go down in history as those that fought to keep our stories alive. And in return, we will keep their stories alive."

Stopping here, Kennot fought back his tears.  He knows the memories made here today would mark the current guild members for some time--how could they not?  All had seen battle before, all had suffered loss...but not to this scale and never all at once.  It's so rough.  Still, there is much to be done and Kennot, as the Guild Trustee, as to lead them.  He will do as Ilyana would expect of him.  Ilyana--why did you leave us so suddenly?  How are we to face a foe that even you could not defeat?

"In twelve hours, we will fight again--a Guild War has begun and we will not stand by!"  Kennot's hand goes up and a few people nod their head in agreement, "We will protect our home, the home that Ilyana "Jusstice" Tsundre shaped and re-forged for us!  ...I need you all to go and sleep.  Sleep, now.  We have a battle before us and we must be ready."

Kennot's sad heart looks around him.  He cannot sleep.  There is so much to do.  He'll have to take the Edge member's bodies and place them away respectfully for burial.  There's no way he could get them all buried tonight--could he?  Cremation was the usual protocol, but he didn't want to lose sight of his friend so quickly...but isn't that what's best?  There's a long list of fortifications to set up...there's no time.  Plus, he has to petition assistance from the other guilds and let them know what happened here...wait.  Gren could do that.  He's fast.  One less chore.

His mind is racing with all of the things that he must do when he realizes that none of the Guild members have gone to bed.  Rather, they are all working.  Moving bodies aside, pulling up their brethren, opening up the doors to the hall to allow access as members began to walk in and out with bodies--Georgesse had already been having the bodies moved to the basement where they could be recorded and burned in the furnace.  Tears ran down his cheeks, relieved that he didn't have to do this alone.  He wanted to, but...he couldn't.

Kennot answered a bunch of questions as members came with inquiries as they started to help.  He was worried--everyone needed their sleep.  Still, he tried helping as much as he could, to get things moving.  However, when he saw them moving Ilyana's body, he screamed out a quick "No!" before rushing to her side in their arms.  His face forms a smile, this time.  It dawns on him that she does look dead--but she isn't.  He look up at the two guys holding her, shaking his head at them as he instead points to the Infirmary, rather than her private quarters.

"She's not dead, boys.  Magic is flowing through her like crazy, I can see it.  When Xiax had used his power on me, I could see the Angel she is connected with leaning over her.  I think he's keeping her alive.  She needs a doctor and--Xiax!"

Kennot rushed away again as the two guys started to cheer, voices all growing as the word was spread that their Guild Master, Ilyana was not dead, after all.  He cursed himself for being so insensitive--he was so upset over the lost he didn't even tell anyone that she was alive.  And now, he's got to find Xiax in the craze--the poor man was in so much pain before everything had calmed and the Dark Ascension members had taken their leave.  He could not let this continue for Xiax.  He needed to find him a place where he wouldn't be touched.

When he found him, he was gentle, instructing members to pick the man up with magic, levitating him to the infirmary to rest next to Ilyana.  Sylmeria was escorted there, too--many were angry and short with her, but Kennot made sure to keep them in line and had her separated from the other guilds.  He'd send in their mind doctor for her, as well.  Hell, everyone in the guild would need her help, after all of this.

When asked what to do with the Dark Ascension bodies, Kennot said to have them burned, as well.  However, he did not want them burned in the same place.  He didn't explain why, but arrangements were made to have them burned and their ashes kept, just as the Infinity Edge members kept the ashes of their lost, too.

Ilyana has spoken with the Archangel many times, for so many days in her life, that she has forgotten what her life was like before she linked with him.  Now, she rests alone and the lack of his voice, the lack of his stiff sense of justice constantly judging her and her actions...it seems so strange.  It is because of the spirit that she hated fighting, hated standing up for what was "just."  Yet, now as she is hurting so severely from physical pain, she misses him more than anything else.  Has he abandoned her?  Will she die alone, after all?  To be honest, she expected the spirit to be her guide to the afterlife when this road was finally finished.  This silence and emptiness was the last thing she thought would happen upon her death.

Guilds Role-Play - Page 18 Post_s10

[ATTN: Rocket, Sonja]
--Quinsennterra Guild Hall; 8AM--

As morning came, Attica dressed herself up properly, careful to re-make her bed in the morning, as expected.  She was already showered last night, so she felt clean enough to head out into the main hall, where tables were always set up with proper seating arrangements.  Fine dining was always the norm around here, and the Chefs were all the best.  Breakfast was set out, magically kept warm--but not fresh.  The first push for food was always a little rough, but necessary.  Attica never cared much for that, usually, but today, she was up on time without being woken by Nadia or anyone else.

It was a first, to be sure, and as she made her way down, she saw many members at various tables, dining with proper etiquette and with quiet spoken words as music plays in the background.  She looks around, seeing a few familiar faces.  Sache is up, eating his own food immaculately, but Xaroff is nowhere to be seen.  Xaroff isn't the morning type--but since he's a grown-up, he doesn't have to get up super early if he doesn't want to.  Attica wishes she was a grown up, too, so she could sleep as much as she wants.

Her eyes widen with surprise, however, to see Ruoh here.  Allas Ruoh is rarely around, since he always has so many jobs and duties from the Guild master.  To see him here, simply dining with others...it's a rare treat, indeed.  She smiles, waving over to him as he takes another bite of his breakfast.  Noticing the large and eager movement, he looks up with his golden eyes and, seeing her face, smiles with a small chuckle to himself.  He waves back properly as Attica runs down the fancy stairs towards him with laughter, her arms held open wide for him.

Ruoh stands from his chair his napkins set aside as he lowers down to one knee and take the little Attica in his arms.  They embrace warmly and Attica holds him for a short while as the people continue to bustle and speak around them.  The noise, the people, the morning wakefulness--it's all forgivable if it comes with Ruoh.

Attica pulls away, "Allas, it is so good to see you!  I didn't expect to see you here!"

The young, silver haired man stands, backing away and pulling up a chair for her at his table in his usual fashion.  She sits in the chair happily as he pushes her back up to the large table.  Before she can say much more to him, he asks what she would like to eat.  She tells him and he fetches for her--wow, it really is Attica's lucky day!  When he returns with her food, he takes his seat and begins to eat properly while asking her how she's been.

Between bite-fulls of delicious, overly-decorated cinnamon rolls, Attica begins her story of the mission the she went on, even though she wasn't supposed to go.  She did admit that she sneaked along, so as to avoid Nadia or the others running into any trouble from it.  He did raise an eyebrow at that, shaking his head with disapproval, but he couldn't interrupt.  So Attica's story continued all the way up until she got to Rocket--she told him all about her and even added at the end that she is here in a guest room and that she wishes to join the Guild.

"...so, I just gotta ask Lady Aurella if she can join.  Where is she, anyway?  She's usually around this time in the morning, giving off orders and chores and stuff."  Attica asks.

"I'm afraid she is away for a short time,"  Ruoh says, "The friend who brought me here--Gren--has taken her elsewhere.  There are some important things that our Lady must do and discuss, so I am here in her stead to take care of Guild matters during her absence."

Attica says, "Oh!  How sudden!  She was just here last night...okay.  Well, will you let my friend Rocket into the Guild, then?  Pleeaaaaaasseee?"

Ruoh's smile melts her heart, "My darling, she must go through the same recruitment process as all other members have.  However, should things go well throughout the process, she'll be welcomed with open arms."

Attica giggles at first, but then her heart sinks.  The way that Rocket looks...there's no way that Ruoh will let such a girl in when she looks like...like...that.  What's she gonna do?  She looks over at Sache and wonders if he'd have any advice.  She wishes that he could talk for like the millionth time.

"What's the matter, dear?"  Ruoh asks her with concern in his tone, his head tilting as he gazes at her with speculation.

"Oh, nothing," Attica replies, "I think...I think it will be hard to get her in, but...promise me that you won't judge a book by it's cover!  Promise me, Allas!"

The girl's fiery tone and intense gaze as she placed her hands on her hips from the other side of the table is just adorable and Ruoh laughs a little--he just can't help himself.  This burst of laughter incenses the girl's determination further as she repeated her demand, saying his first name with stern expectation.  He bows his head in his chair as he places his hand over his heart, respectfully.

"Very well, Ms. Attica LeRue," Ruoh states calmly, "You have my word."

Guilds Role-Play - Page 18 Post_s10

[ATTN: Kaimele]
--Terrenia City, Crye Estate; 6AM--

Reese looks up from his breakfast with surprise, not expecting to see anyone else up this early.  he smiles, standing up and moving over to pull out a chair for the lady to sit, at least for a short while.  Then, he asks one of the servants to bring out a menu for the Lady to choose breakfast.  After all, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.  Then, he sits across from her, looking rather tired.

"I did not sleep long.  We had so many teleporters going in and out of here like crazy--from a few different Guilds.  Looks like that battle isn't going well--but it was at least paused.  Long enough, in fact, for the other Guilds to have their own say on the matter.  It will continue at noon--the battle, that is.  If Dark Ascension does as they stated they would do.  Who knows if they are true to their word? Each Guild has actually agreed to select members to send in to help, which is great news!"

Reese is going on with his rambling thoughts, his tone clearly relieved, "Lady Aurella de Gant actually came here herself to give my guild a different charge--it's going to be difficult, but nothing we have to rush into, so it's easier to just...be.  I thought you'd want to know.  But Lady Aurella de Gant!  I never thought I'd ever see her in person.  She's such a story, you know."

[Attn: Infinity Edge and the people there before timeskip.]
--Infinity Edge Guild Hall; Ventya State - UMS--

The battle was raging all around, and there Xiax knelt waiting for an answer from the Nine. There was so much chaos and noise that it was plenty hard enough to keep focused on listening for them. Then suddenly Xiax is looking up at Ravage.
Why is he so close?! his mind screamed at him.
Xiax had lost track of the battle around him. There was no excuse for forgetting your surroundings and he knew that Ravage would kill him. As he looked into the eyes of Death, those eyes twitched and their attention was diverted. Down those eyes went, and it appeared that this demon was distracted, that for the moment just before something else far away had demanded it's attention.
Then something odd happens, the members start to disappear and fade into shadows. Something about being back? It didn't make any sense, they had been winning, why leave now?
Ravage looked over toward the Valkyrie a look of irritation and annoyance evident on his face. "I didn't get to kill that bitch, -" then his face distorts in sadistic glee as he looks down towards the Infinity Edge Guildmistress, " - but I did kill you."
"!!" Xiax reaches into his pocket to grab his garrote and lunge at this bastard. His hand managed to pull it out of his pocket. Ravage looks up and the smirk at the corner of this villain's mouth coupled with the murderous intent freezes Xiax. His fingers fall numb, the garrote slipping from them as he is defeated just by the pressure coming off of the man before him.
Ravage clears his throat and spits on Ilyana's body, enjoying infuriating this powerless sack of useless shit before him. Successfully insulting both the living and the dead alike, Ravage disappears.
A white haze fills Xiax's mind, his anger rekindled. The anger is enough to bring life back into Xiax, even though the source of it has disappeared. This bastard thinks he's won?! Oh hell you have you !@#$! His hand lashes out and Xiax seizes victory himself. Against the pleading voices of the Nine, against the uselessness of himself, Xiax places his hand on the chest of the woman before him unleashing Infuse into Ilyana. His last words taunting the shadow of Ravage long departed, "Not good enough."

[Attn: Infinity Edge, after timeskip]
--Infinity Edge Guild Hall; Ventya State - UMS--
There had been a momentary lull in the battle around him, somewhat like the calm in the center of a storm. That moment of calm vanished however as the Valkyrie crushed it with the storm of battle. Xiax stared towards the noise, the bloodshed and mayhem. To others it might be that he appeared entranced, but there wasn't really anyone paying attention to him.
The homeless hobo rose to his feet, far easier than should have been expected given his weakened state. Then he started to drift, shuffling forward on lifeless feet towards the sounds of screams and death. Almost like a moth drawn to flame Xiax fluttered towards his death. Until someone bummed into him, followed by another. Weakened as he was, he couldn't keep himself from falling over. He fell like a toddler to the ground, and that was it. Those people didn't notice anything strange, they didn't feel stronger or faster, they just continued on to fight Sylmeria. Nothing happened except that Xiax continued to lay where he had fallen, just lay there like a useless husk.

That's where they found him, staring lifelessly ahead. Many presumed him dead, but someone vouched for him. No one touched him, but unseen hands lifted him and carried him somewhere else. He wasn't outside, he was placed inside in the infirmary. That was when Xiax noticed the thread of his power stretched out like ghostly rope into the body of some woman beside him. That's where it had gone, and that's where it remained.
There was hustle and bustle in the infirmary. He tried to follow it a bit for sometime, but it was too difficult laying down so he sat up. His movement wasn't really noticed, but eventually they did. Xiax looked at those making the strange noises at him, but never gave a response. Some thought his mind broken, as he looked at whatever drew his attention with it's noise. Once in awhile he would look back down at the invisible rope of Infuse drifting into the Fallen Angelic Warrior.
They watched him with worry, some even checked him for injuries fearing he had been struck in the head and made an idiot. They never touched him though, and Xiax didn't make any attempt to touch them. He appeared almost alien, almost mechanical as he watched them. Xiax's mind must simply be broken, so they ignored him since they couldn't move him.
Every once in awhile though the otherwise unresponsive Xiax would turn and watch the magic tether between his bed and the one beside it. Sometime he even would reach out and nudge a stray thread that had broken free back into the cord, tending to Infuse as it weakened. Eventually they might notice, but since he never touched the Guildmaster and wouldn't explain or respond they might chalk it up to more evidence his mind is broken.

[OOC: Even if touched Xiax's power won't trigger, he'd running in autopilot so to speak. He isn't even actually aware of anything that is going on. Eventually the last bit of his power that is active in Ilyana will disappear, though this my take sometime as it weakens and Infuse is managing itself by keeping itself from breaking apart. In no way is Ilyana guaranteed to survive, Infuse isn't actually a healing power though it does boost her body's vitality a bit which could make the difference to prevent her body from going into shock, etc.]

Guilds Role-Play - Page 18 Empty Re: Guilds Role-Play

Post by Vye 15th April 2017, 9:12 pm

[ATTN: Sylmeria, Xiax, Kennot]
--Infinity Edge Guild Hall; Ventya State - UMS; 12AM to 8AM--

Nymeria sat next to the bed her guildmate lied in for the duration of the night. She stared at the Infinity Edge members, frozen in time with half open eyes. Anyone aware of her presence could probably feel her still gaze every second. Still, Nymeria was in somewhat of a trance, reflecting on what transpired several hours ago. She remembered the endless buffet of blood she feasted on during the frenzy. She couldn't recall how many Dark Ascension or Infinity Edge members she had consumed - nearly every person that approached her with a weapon ended up with cavities in their chest.

She then remembered Ilyana falling, and the odd turn the battle took. She thought the guildmaster's defeat would rally the Dark Ascension group, but they all retreated, including Nymeria's favorite member. Maybe she'll find him again in some fantasy. But with Dark Ascension's departure came Nymeria's dismay, as she hadn't paid Sylmeria much mind until she was the only threat left, and what a threat she was. Guild members were tossed like paper, facing a most untimely demise to a small girl. Feeling the crushing guilt, Nymeria tried her best to help with Kennot's plan.

Watching Xiax getting hauled into the room, Nymeria couldn't believe the guild still allowed Sylmeria to stay, and even receive treatment. Nymeria felt she and Sylmeria were the only ones who knew she was the cause of this, or at least anyone else that knew was killed. The guilt, however, persisted through the night. Something she'd do anything to eradicate permanently. For the moment, she could only stand guard over Sylmeria until the girl could defend herself, without killing everything in sight.

As the sun fell below the horizon, Chiron checked all his supplies meticulously. Counting every roll of bandage, aloe swipe, disinfectant applicant, he tallied every material in a checklist he kept in his bag. Char went through his usual routine before bed. He recorded the work done over the day, set up the tasks to be done for the next day, and informed his subordinates on what to do while he was gone. With precautionary checks done, Char and Chiron cleaned up in the own rooms and prepared for bed, both a little apprehensive about what was to come.
