Forum Updates

Hey everyone! There is now a locked Archive area in both RP Grounds. So you can read the old RP's that we had.

For anyone who is sick of the lovely GtR emails that bog down your inbox and send you replies and messages over "watched topics," you can do the following to put a stop to the emails:

Step 1:

Go to your profile -> Preferences Tab

- Always notify me of replies: No
- Notify on new Private Message: No (depending on preference)

Step 2:

Go to your profile -> Topics Watched

- Click on "Select All" or you make a selection selective
- Click on "Stop watching selected topics"

Forum Updates: August 27th, 2012

-- The "Points" System has been added. -- These points are also called "Gold Pieces" in your profile and they will be rewarded per post in certain forums in the Gateway--you'll be able to purchase certain features in the future with your gold pieces, so be sure to save up!

-- The Reputation System has been added. -- You can now "like" the posts of others to give them a reputation. You can give negative votes, but this will not lower their reputation, so the function is useless.

Forum Updates: January 6th, 2013

-- A new sub-forum has been added to the Role-Playing Grounds and the Darkland Role-Playing Grounds -- This sub-forum is for one-on-one and private role-plays, i.e. role-plays which were never open to the public.

Here is a list of the RPs that were moved to this new section:

A new topic icon system is in place, as of this evening. The statuses for this new system are listed below, as well as an explanation as to when they can be used and who can use them.

In Progress
This status is available for use by administrators only and is intended for the "Bug Reports" section. If an administrator is working on a bug or forum issue that you have reported, you will know that it is being worked on at the time. This also means that the issue is not yet resolved and should therefore not be archived.

Resolved
This status is available for use by anyone and is also intended for the "Bug Reports" section. If you have reported a bug and it is no longer an issue over time, you may feel free to mark it as Resolved with this icon and a staff member will know that it can be closed and archived.

Role-Play Paused
This status should be used if your role-play or a role-play that you are participating in is on hold due to the inability to return for a good amount of time. Having this status placed over your role-play threads will prevent staff members from archiving your role-play threads for up to an additional month, but should four months go by in total without a post, it will be archived, regardless. Only RPM's or RPH's should use this icon.

Register, Please!
If you are a role-play maker or helper and desire some new members to join your role-play, feel free to use this status to let others know so that they can take a look and see if it interests them. Only RPM's or RPH's should use this icon, though a member can do so with the RPM's permission.

Role-Play Closed/Finished
If you are no longer running a role-play, regardless of the reason, feel free to use this icon on all threads that involve the role-play and a staff member will be sure to archive it for you as soon as possible. Requests to have it removed back into the open at a later date will be accepted. Anyone can use this icon, though permission by the RPM is required.

Aaaah, that's awesome tho! Color me jealous. <3
