Slayer Circuit Character Creation Rules

• You only get one PC.
• Strikers can be weapons. However, as they're holographic in nature, they're not actually threatening on their own.
• NPC characters may be piloted by the RPM, RPH, or original creator.
• If you're uncertain about your character's Drive power, run it by me.
• You're free to create your own alien races or use any of the four existing ones.
• You may have an A.I. character.
• Pro Players and Elites must be run by myself for confirmation.
• You may create villains, just run them by me first.
• You're free to form teams with others' PCs/NPCs if both players agree to it.
• I can create NPC teammates for those who don't already have any. Just be aware that I hold the reins on them.
• No abilities that let you recover Hit Points. Having temporary Super Armor or Invinc is fine. But no "Heals"
• The minimum age to compete in the Slayer Circuit is 16. Any characters younger than that will not be able to participate in that plot, though are still viable for other ones.
• Characters not participating in the Slayer Circuit may disregard the Rank fields entirely.

Create Your Character

Obviously, a character who is brand new to Slay Ball most likely won't even have two signature moves, let alone twenty. Special Moves are techniques that utilize your Drive. Players get creative to bolster their arsenal with stylish and powerful Special Moves to really give their opponents a hard time. If you have any that won't actually be unlocked until later, specify the Skill Rank around which you think your character will invent that new move.
• Move 1
• Move 2
• Move 3
• Move 4

Personality: What does your character like? What do they dislike? How do they interact with others? What's their outlook?

Back Story: What is your character's background?

NPC

Name: Ahji zol-Bok'kan
Age: 18
Gender: F
Species: Draknul
Appearance:
Slayer Circuit Character Registration E13053b9a8d735e3359c05398e08444123092697_by_c_voyage-dbu65cv

Status: Essential
Occupation: Waitstaff at Family-owned restaurant, Aspiring Pro-Slayer
Residence: The Draknul Burrough of Sol Nokia with her parents
Skills/Talents: Ahji is an exceptional martial artist, being particularly skilled at kicks and throws, which she's used to deal with people who tried to steal from the restaurant. She's also a fairly capable chef in her own right, having been taught by her father. Of course, Slay-Ball being her passion, she's shown to have a fairly decent knack for the sport. Her particular playstyle is defensive, emphasizing deflects over an all-out offensive approach. She mostly focuses on team plays, setting up and/or protecting allies rather than going for hits, herself. As with all Draknul, Ahji is notably far stronger and more resilient than a human due to the denser tissue.
Striker: Basic Strikers - Twin Polearms

Skill Rank: Rookie
Team: To Be Determined...
Drive: Vacuum Trigger
Drive Type: Mod
Drive Description: When activated, Ahji's Strikers take on a property that allows them to rend through space, creating invisible air pockets that can then be triggered remotely. When triggered, these pockets produce vacuum waves with significant concussive force.
Limitations
• Ahji's Strikers can only maintain the mod for so long. Also, creating new air pockets slightly shortens that time. As such, she needs to be strategic about where she leaves an air slash, and when, as well as the desired effect.
• Only Ahji can detect the air pockets, thus even her allies are in danger when navigating the field, requiring expert coordination in order to work with her.
• Ahji can set up multiple air slashes at once, effectively trapping the field. However, she can only trigger one vacuum wave at a time.

Special Moves:
• Vacuum Dash - Ahji sets up an air pocket for herself or an ally to use as a means of propulsion. Good for aerial redirects, ascending to heights unattainable by jumping, or for a sudden burst of speed.

• Vacuum Cannon - Ahji stacks her slashes over one another, increasing the potency of the created air pocket. When triggered, the created vacuum wave is incredibly fierce. It's most often used to send the ball flying violently at an unsuspecting target, unable to defend in time. But it has other applications. (Unlocked at Intermediate)

• Vacuum Pin - Ahji secretly litters the field with air pockets, effectively trapping the opponent in a cage of them. Then, when she's ready (or out of time), she triggers them all successively, sending the ball unpredictably pinballing from one pocket to the next with chained vacuum waves. (Unlocked at Advanced)

Personality: Ahji is the quintessential 'nice girl'. She's levelheaded and friendly. What's more, while not at all a perpetual smiler, she does appear to always have a smile ready for those who could use it. She's boundlessly supportive of her friends and allies, always being ready to encourage or commend them. Her operation as the defensive member of the team further lends to her willingness to place others before herself. In all ways, she simply appears to be the ideal teammate.

Very little seems to rattle Ahji at all. She never seems to get particularly angry or sad. Seldom does she appear to worry about anything to any noticeable extent. When in the heat of battle, she's typically very carefree and jovial. There are certainly times when she's far more serious, but even then she at most maintains a level of utmost stoicism. This ability to maintain her composure and conduct herself professionally when things get tough makes her invaluable.

Ahji is quite fond of food. Likely something that comes from her family business, she's both excellent at cooking it, and eating it. She likes seeing others enjoy her food as well. Though she does have a tendency to experiment. Or to try feeding people Draknul food, forgetting that the majority of it is toxic to non-Draknul species, barring the toxin-immune Nemeans. She has a fondness for dogs, and loves playing with the little guys.

Woe to those who take her kindness for granted. For all her seemingly boundless positivity, she is absolutely not one to be trifled with. Ahji's overwhelmingly positive demeanor generally only extends to those on her good side. In truth, she is as vicious as anyone when properly provoked, if not more. With her, passive aggression is practically an art form. She has mastered the art of sly insults, politeness mind games, bitingly sarcastic (yet well masked) praise, and other means of slighting those who irk her without being obvious about it. And o' how irksome she finds the world around her. While she certainly does care quite deeply for those she considers close, not even they are spared when they do anything she takes issue with. She'll win an argument through backwards logic, just for the sake of irritating her prey. Or she'll turn an insult inside-out, causing it to backfire on whoever delivered it. All the while she maintains her cheerful and jovial persona.

Back Story: Ahji was born in Sol Nokia, where she grew up the middle child in a relatively large family of five children. Being neither the oldest nor youngest placed her in an odd situation. The eldest of the five - Kidha - was rampantly irresponsible and always in one form of trouble or another. She was always spoiled, eventually becoming an absolute mess. By contrast, the next oldest - Ravan - was always the responsible one. He was studious and clever, doing everything in her power to help the family business by acting as the general manager. Ahji was left in the odd position of being babied by one and hounded by the other. Meanwhile, the sibling immediately beneath her - Sorem - was constantly antagonizing her. Not that it had any real effect. Of her many siblings, only the littlest one - Khalu - shared a particularly strong bond with her. They'd watch Slay-Ball matches together on TV, play at the park, and generally spend a lot of time around one another. He looked up to her like a celebrity. And it was seeing that hopeful little face that did it.

Despite her familial detractors, Ahji decided to participate in the Slayer Circuit, purchasing a V-Brace with her money from the restaurant. Her parents, while not as adamantly opposed to this as Ravan, were less than entirely on board. She had a secure place in the family business. What's more, they were worried. But Ahji convinced them through her own enthusiasm to at least let her try. And so they did, but under the stipulation that until she qualified for the Slayer Circuit, she was still working for them part-time, and would return to work when she was needed. That was all she needed to hear. And she immediately began working toward her dream.

PC

Name: Alastair (Al) Thorncast
Age: 27
Gender: M
Species: Human
Appearance:
Slayer Circuit Character Registration 8753a5352a4d6f31af9523763c7e8627c3d24d81_by_c_voyage-dbu9uek
Occupation: Pro Gamer
Residence: He's renting a run-down apartment
Skills/Talents: He has excellent hand-eye coordination
Striker: Pong Barrier is an orbital type striker that is a wall that is limited to the user's field of vision and can only move in the direction that the user is looking.

Skill Rank: Newbie
Team: N/A
Drive: Tilt
Drive Type: Mod (Unlocked at Newbie)
Drive Description: When Tilt is activated it cast a gravitational effect on Pong Wall that frees it from his line of sight and can be passed onto the ball on contact.
Limitations
• His drive only last for 20 seconds but has to recharge a full minute.
• The Drive is completely reactive.
• Useless if the ball gets past his field of vision.

Special Moves:
• Orbit: Al can rotate Pong Barrier around himself for 1 second. the speed can vary depending on what's needed. It must recharge after use for 3 seconds. This doesn't require line of sight but it does require perfect timing. (Unlocked at Intermediate.)
• Buckler and Double Buckler: Pong Wall floats over Al's arm. effectively becoming a shield. Al can split Pong Barrier into 2 Bucklers. He can keep both or loan one to an ally.
• Bumper stairs: Al can dismantle Pong Barrier into 5 small walls, these can be placed as steps even in mid-air to walk on. The steps still reflect the ball.
• Solar System: Spits Pong Barrier into 4 equal parts. Each part Orbits one team member. Al must remain stationary to use this ability. If Al is moved by an attack this ability wears off. (Unlocked at Adept)

Personality:

Al is a gamer through and through. He'll try any game that he finds interesting. He will play until he gets good and he won't give up until he comes in first, specifically when there's money involved. He is also very overdramatic.

Back Story: Al was on one of the most elite gaming teams of all time. His group ran out of funds and could no longer compete in the games they loved. "In my darkest hour, I searched for the beacon of hope to light my dreary path." He found his beacon in the form of his old run down V-Brace. While it was old Al was certain he could master Slay-Ball in no time... Oh how wrong he was. In his first 1v1 match, he lost to a 12-year-old.

Chalking his loss to lack of experience, Al sought out matches with random people, he still lost as they were all 1 on 1. With that, he started playing with random teams this is where he found his calling. He was drastically more useful while guarding the middle line or back lines.

Al wishes to open up a sport/game shop to cater to pro players and newbies alike. He hopes to even sponsor his own team eventually, but before all of that he want's to win one more pro gaming tournament with his old team. They never got to go out with a bang since they lost their last tournament.

Slayer Circuit Character Registration Empty Re: Slayer Circuit Character Registration

PC: Work In Progress

   Name: Serenity Ptenderris
   Age: 25
   Gender: Female
   Species: Human
Appearance: Light Brown Hair; Brown Eyes; 125lbs Weight; 5'6 Height
Slayer Circuit Character Registration Face_09_by_sandara-dan8vp7

   Occupation: WSF Referee & Coach
Residence: Ptenderris Estate within Nokia City
Skills/Talents: Slayer Training and Proficiency with all Striker types, Slayer Coaching Training, Singing, Cheer-leading, & Referee Training
Striker: Serenity owns a basic striker, which is just a thin and long, dual-handed hammer pole-arm thingy.  Although this is her primary striker, she prefers Orbital strikers and is proficient with all four striker types.

   Skill Rank: Adept
   Team: None
   Drive: None
   Drive Type: N/A
   Drive Description: N/A
   Limitations
   • N/A
   • N/A
   • N/A

   Special Moves:
   • Although she doesn't really have any special "moves," her style on the Circuit is simple: She loves to balance the large hammer on top of her shoulders behind her neck, her arms and hands wrapped over the long polearm with a relaxed pose and hint of casual aggression. She frequently flips the hammer about around her core to allow for less twisting movement of her actual body.

Personality: Serenity has a graceful movement about her, holding herself with confidence, beauty, and respect.  She's refined, elegant...all of the things ladylike in every nature of the word.  However, the moment she opens her mouth, this illusion is gone.  With a foul mouth at home and close to one on the job, she's a spitfire and a loose cannon.  She's quick to anger, easy to irritate, and incredibly judgemental.  Despite all of these traits, however, she does like to see improvements in those that she coaches, secretly caring for each individual student that she's ever had.

Back Story: Serenity comes from a family that is HUGE in the WSF world and the Slayer world--especially because of her father.  He's not only heavily invested within the sport and involved in it, but he's always expected Serenity to be, as well.  She's had training in the sport ever since she was old enough to learn it--however, that didn't make her okay with it and it certainly didn't make her enjoy it.  Regardless of her distaste of the sport, as well as her open honesty about her hatred of the events that she was forced to go to with her father, she was made to go into the training, anyway.

Due to her attitude towards the sport, Serenity did the one thing that she could do to shirk her "responsibilities" as a slayer to her father:  She went into refereeing.  Anyone who knew the man knew that he did not like this.  He didn't like it at all.  However, by this time, Serenity was old enough to do what she wanted and how she wanted, and although she still wanted in on that family fortune and wished to avoid being disowned (though, she's still uncertain today if he'd ever have gone through with something like that), she toed the line and risked it.  Unfortunately, this meant she'd never go pro, which meant she'd never get that super "amazing" drive he'd promised her when she reached that level.
