Name: Elrich Pentagonous Henry (Reticence)

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Personality: Quiet, thoughtful, dedicated, honorable

Description: 6'4", 220 lbs, slim build but heavily muscled (trained to physical perfection), deep voice, wears jeans, t-shirt and a loose jacket when casual

Family: Lilly Jane Henry (Mother), Paul Lawrence Dunbar Henry (Father), Cleopatra "Pat" Joan Henry (Younger sister)

Skills/Weapons: Body honed to near-physical perfection, expertly trained in hand-to-hand combat, swordsmanship, various weapons, and throwing weapons. Highly intelligent and well-read; an engineer by trade. An energymancer, has the ability to absorb/give energy from/to the surroundings, people, and/or objects. Can convert energy from one form to another but typically manifests energy he draws into a solid energy form shaped into various weaponry. Typically a razor sharp sword capable of slicing through metal and throwing blades, shurikens, or kunais. Occasionally he uses it to form an energy shield. Can also use energy he absorbs to feed his muscles and body, allowing him to maintain peak physical activity for extraordinary periods of time, speed up his healing, or give him a physical boost allowing him to perform borderline superhuman feats. Energy ability grants him the ability to see beyond the normal human spectrum.

Background Info: Elrich came from a fairly well-to-do middle class black family. His mother and father loved him and were good to him, supportive, and basically allowed him to do as he wished as long as he did well in school and stayed out of trouble. When he was 10, he was walking down the street when he caught sight of a woman being accosted by muggers. Very much the comic book nerd, he grabbed a stick and tried to save the woman, only to get battered around and nearly killed. Desperate, his powers manifested, and he used them to blast the muggers with a bolt of energy. Though the lion's share of the energy came from the surroundings, a chunk of it had come from the woman, causing her to go into cardiac arrest. Paramedics rushed onto the scene, and though they managed to resuscitate the woman, it had made a profound impression on young Elrich, leaving him feeling guilty for almost having killed the woman. He became withdrawn to the point his parents sought counseling. As luck would have it, the counselor himself was a Mancer and managed to get to the root of Elrich's burden, helping to both console the boy and give him a purpose: learn to use his power and channel it to something good so something like that wouldn't happen again. He gave Elrich a book, Miyamoto Musashi's The Book of Five Rings and Elrich took to it like dry sand sucking up water, shaping his life around the principles and tenets around it. He extensively studied martial arts and was driven toward engineering as it dealt with the study of converting energy from one form to another. He's mastered his powers and martial skills to deadly precision, following a code similar to that of bushido.

At first, he stalked the nights in a leather trenchcoat, boots, and sunglasses. Trained in methods of both samurai and ninja, he uses stealth and efficiency to subdue criminals. Soon, he became known as Reticence, owing to his quiet nature. He doesn't kill unless absolutely necessary, but he will maim, remove limbs, and break bones. He was approached by the Organization, and when they tried to pressure him and threaten his family, nearly killing his sister, he killed all of them without a moment's regret, then tracked and attacked the Organization's division in his city, killing every Mancer there before they knew what hit them. The example worked; The Organization immediately backed off his family. During the day, he's simply Elrich Henry, a brain baby who skipped grades and graduated from college at 18 and works as a private engineer. However, during the night as Reticence he stalks The Organization, determined to bring them down lest someone else's family gets hurt.

I like the super human strength! He can drain energy from people, so he's like what is called a psychic vampire? When he drains energy, is it just that they feel really tired, or is it that they basically go unconscious? What is balance to your power?

Well, they'll start feeling really tired, to start, if he drains enough, they'll go unconscious, and beyond that he could kill them. He won't draw from people, though, he's too scarred by what happened to the woman.

Hmm...a balance. I kinda thought he was, honestly. He's human, he can be killed, he's just really hard to kill because he's skilled and worked at it religiously. But I guess a kind of balance is that he doesn't have some godlike range. Just about a 10 ft radius. Unless he focuses a line towards something far away, but if he does, he loses his radius around the rest of him.

That's good. A radius for the energy draining power is a good balance, but if you want to keep him orginally how he was, you can. I don't think you'll be a problem rper. lol It's fine either way. I don't want to be too strict on these things because I don't want to suck the fun out of it. XD So whatever you think. You already know the no god modding rule, so like I said before, I don't think you will be a problem.
