Phone connections
Thread: Not a thread problem. It's a phone connection.
Description of the issue: Ok I am using a Droid Maxx and when I attempt to get on the site from my phone it does this. When I use the Mobile version it also does it. Now if I try to make it bigger, more of it disappears. I don't know if its the site and my phone, or if its my phone that is the problem.

Re: Phone connections
humm..when you zoom out the forum gets cut off ?
It could be an overflow problem, but I can't be too sure. I'm going to temporarily add the following rule to the stylesheet just to test.
Let me know if it still does it.
Thanks.

#wrap { overflow:visible !important }

Re: Phone connections
well on the index page, everything shows up no matter what. but the minute I go into a forum it does that. I tried again and it still does it. Also, that picture I took is zoomed all the way out.
Re: Phone connections
I'll have to take a look at the document. It looks like a overflow problem. So, it's only when viewing topics ?
EDIT :
The main content container has overflow:hidden, setting it to visible will mess up the display a little. For a test I set up a media query, let me know if it still does it.

Re: Phone connections
ok so I checked it on the phone and it separates it a little. and I still have the same issue. Now however its doing it to the index page and it didn't do that before. When its zoomed normal, I can see the whole index page, but when I am zoomed in the page disappears like in the picture. It didn't do that originally.
Also it separates the widgets from the posts. like the widgets are up top and then after the widgets, the posts begin. So there is a big gap from the top to where the posts actually begin and it is still doing it.

Re: Phone connections
Okay, now I know the media query I set up works for your mobile device. I'll see if setting the overflow to auto does anything. This may display a scrollbar for you though. Only one way to find out..

Re: Phone connections
Unless I didn't give you enough time to fix it, It went back to normal for me like it was doing in the beginning. The index page is fine, I can see it with no problem, even zooming in, but once you go into the forum area like in the picture it goes back to that. Even the mobile version does it.
Re: Phone connections
OK I am not a pro at this, but lunabear have you tried to set it to 3G? I know sometimes 4G can be a bit wonky in some areas.

Re: Phone connections
I'm currently using the wifi but even on the 4G it does the same thing. I've tried different settings on my phone, but this is the only site I have problems with.
Re: Phone connections
The visible value does place the posts below the widgets, however, the content should have been visible; not clipped. It could most likely be a problem with your mobile browser or its settings. I'll still look over the document to see if I can figure anything out, for now though, I'm going to force a scroll bar. This should* display a scroll bar, if your mobile browser supports scroll bars on containers.
Oh by the way, is the quick reply visible or is it also cut off ?
Thanks

Re: Phone connections
everything is cut off. I can't see anything on the bottom of the page. I have been looking online to see what it is with my phone, or if there is a way to fix it. Though I can't understand how even in the mobile version it won't let me see it.
If I find out what it is, I will let you know.
EDIT: Oh, now it is letting me do it with the scroll bar! it's all on top, but it allows me to scroll all the way to the bottom in the top of it. I am still attempting to see what it is about my phone though and see what is up with it.

Re: Phone connections
That should be the scroll bar I set up. The max height is 650px, if it's exceeded you should be able to scroll. As for why it is cut off even while visible is a mystery to me, none of their parents have the overflow property, except < body > and < html >.
