World: Revisioned. Empty World: Revisioned.

This is a world that I built an alternate reality of. I have an extended history that lasts well over two millennia from the 1940s. Know that there will be multiple, consecutive posts from me at this point because the word limit is well exceeded with a single copy and paste, so I had to split it.

In order to fulfill the forum requirements, I will go ahead and declare several eras in which I have written stories in throughout the history of my canon.

World Name: for arbitrary and unrelated purposes, I simply call it Revisioned.



Original Character's Name: There are no 'original' characters, per se. Anyone can be anyone. However, there are crucial historical figures that I have yet to include in the canon below (as of 1/7/12). However, if you do intend to take this to a full-RP, I'll be glad to fill in the rest of the details.

Now, below is a C&P of a canon that I've written over the last year. It is incomplete, and you'll definitely find spots and places where it'll just drop off, like I started and never finished, but I'm getting to it.

If you're interested about a certain era or event, comment and ask. I have it all stored up in my head, just don't have it on paper.

I: HISTORY OF R.E.

~History~

It should be noted that while this ‘History’ is being written, it is written as a summary of the times, something one can skim through to understand perhaps the mere frame of the major events that have happened. At the same time, one must understand that to write a comprehensive, complete history of a world is, although not impossible, very improbable, and difficult. Such an undertaking would take into association the developing and evolving culture, the language, and the technology. Therefore, one should assume that whatever is not changed or told in this Canon remains the same as if it were the real world, as the R.E.Vision Universe is a simple parallel of our world, with a few changed events in our universe that lead to the universe portrayed here.
To start, it is a bloodthirsty world.

0. World War I: History’s Path Changes

The canon of the R.E.Vision Universe will bend history and people to meet the future, namely the outcome and the volume of the First World War, in which Germany completely overpowers and destroys the Allies. The Germans then use England as a springboard to invade the United States. Things that existed in the Second World War of our canon will be in the First World War of this canon, and vice versa, or not at all.
Germany proceeds to destroy the U.S. Atlantic Blockade and smash the on-shore defenses around Washington D.C.. The United States falls virtually overnight and early version of the Holocaust commences early on a near world-wide scale. By war’s end, 90% of the Jewish population in the world has been killed.
German forces proceed south down the Americas and take over Central and South America.
Meanwhile, the Japanese have obliterated the U.S. Pacific Fleet. With fifteen Yamato-Class ships, and a host of aircraft carriers, they easily dominate the Pacific, and thus continue to move deeper inland to terrorize their Asian neighbors.

1. C.E. 1900s-2200s. A New World

[Aeyzerian Empire, 1904-xxxx]
The Empire of Aeyzeria sprouts quickly in the aftermath of the German push overseas, uniting the entirety of the Americas under one flag, and evicting the Germans and Japanese out of the Americas (1906-1910), in a massive military movement known as The Banishment. They quickly become the strongest nation on the planet. Vowing to unite and rid the Americas of the Germans, Emperor Richard Aeyzeria used that as his motto to gather the broken countries under his command.

[Eurasian Federation, 1905-N.E.]
The Eurasian Federation sprouts out of the broken Asian and European countries (primarily the China and Russia) and completely destroys the returning Japanese and German forces, which have now been reduced to a fraction of their former selves. They are assimilated into the Eurasian Federation, along with Oceania and Australia.

[Holy Vatican Empire, 1902-2013]
The Holy Vatican Empire forms in response to the Holocaust (by order of Pope Pius X) and the Order of Malta spearheads the eviction of the Germans from Italy and Africa. The Vatican Empire soon unites all of Africa as well, and brings calm to the troubled region sometimes by words, sometimes by sheer force. The Empire extends from the Middle East, Asia Minor, and Southern Europe and all of Africa.
The First World War ends late 1913 as Germany and Japan are defeated and their original territories absorbed into the Federation.
1914, worldwide reconstruction projects are underway. There is an uneasy peace between the Vatican and the rest of the world, but it exists.
March 1936, prosperity returns to the world, and general peace reigns. However, the Vatican Empire begins to send out missionaries to convert people in the other two countries. It starts slow at first, but they begin to carry out their version of ‘justice’ in the name of god, killing and excommunicating those who did not convert, even overseas, out of their jurisdiction in foreign lands.
April 1936, the Aeyzerian Empire, wishing to keep the peace, continues to attempt diplomacy with the Vatican Empire, but fails. The Vatican, confident that their will is the will of god’s, commences their operations. They then publicly announced that their ultimate objective to make the world ready for Christ’s next coming, and that meant that everyone would be either Roman Catholic or dead, using the Holocaust as an example of what would happen if they did not convert.

[World War II, May 1936-July 1941]
May 1936, the Holy Vatican Empire threatens the Federation and Aeyzeria to listen or perish in ‘hellfire’. Neither country agrees to forcibly convert their citizens, and thus the Second World War begins.
June 12, 5:00 AM-10:21 PM Local Time, 1936, the military power of the Vatican Empire was grossly underestimated as the world finds themselves fighting against deeply rooted zealots fighting without any regard for their own life. At that time, the population in the Empire had exploded, reaching upwards of a billion people, all of which were prepared to fight to the death. Nearly 200 million soldiers, sailors and airmen were deployed.
The Order of Malta (the bulk of the military force of the HVE) commences the ‘Tenth Crusade’. They attack their neighbor, (the Federation) with unforeseen ferocity, forces attacking all along the length of their border with the Federation. Before the day is over, more than 1 million are dead on both sides. They push into Northern and Eastern Europe as well as the Indian Province (India). Those who refuse to convert are executed.
Their forward push continues for a week before they stop at the Ural Mountains and the Himalayas.
September 17, 1936, the Federation’s top defensive commander, General Zeng Shikai from the Chinese Province manages to hold the Federation’s borders at the Ural Mountains and the Himalayas. The Vatican Empire is stopped here throughout the entire war, with the exception of the Battle of the Breach, August 2, 1940. Deadly skirmishes, however, make it the most costly defensive line in history on both sides.
September 20, 1936, the Empire of Aeyzeria is attacked by Vatican battleships and invasion troops. They take only the Caribbean and Central America. They dig in and maintain their positions. After examining satellite spy photos, both the Federation and Aeyzeria find out that the Vatican had sent the bulk of their force to the Americas (150 million, an massive invasion force that was ¾ of their deployed attack force).
The Federation offers to send help, but Aeyzeria rejects it.
September 21, 1936-August 1, 1940, The Vatican Empire reinforces their hold over the regions that they captured during their first strike. Attempts from the Aeyzerian Empire and the Federation are foiled almost every time, and whenever they do get through, they are crushed within the week.
The Vatican too, does make attempts to proceed, but are forced back every time.
Spy planes are no longer usable, as they are shot down with relative ease, to the Federation and Aeyzeria’s surprise.
The war seems to be at an impasse.
August 2-3, 1940, the Vatican executes a massive offensive, breaching the Federation’s Himalayan Defensive Line and Aeyzeria’s Rio Grande Defensive Line. The sudden attack catches both sides off guard, especially when they see the weaponry that the Vatican utilizes, especially scatter bombs and stealth technology. This offensive is known as the August Siege.
In the end, the Vatican offensive is counterattacked viciously by Aeyzeria and the Federation. They retreat.

[Artifacts Mining/Weapons Development, August-November 1940]
Managing to shoot down and capture some of the Vatican’s new and fearsome technology, Aeyzeria manages to reverse-engineer some of the technology, but some components are a mystery.
August-November 1940, they share some of the technology with the Federation, for the sake of good will between each other. They were able to emulate the stealth technology and improve on it, allowing them to finally see what was happening behind Vatican borders. They soon discovered the reason for the Vatican’s rapid weapons development- Artifact Mining in the Caribbean Sea and Mesopotamia.
Artifacts are found to be of unknown origin, extrapolated to be extraterrestrial. They are used primarily in the usage of weapons development by the Vatican, such as powered exosuits (MOBIUS Suits) or missiles.
This combined with on-the-ground spying and communications tapping, resulting in a full understanding of the Artifacts, at least from the Vatican’s POV. The Artifacts were supposedly relics from the Era of Eden (the Old Testament Eden), and were used pre-Original Sin/Eating of the Fruit, or better known as the Era of Eden.
Regardless, they possessed a high level of technology. Sites containing Artifacts are found all over the world, namely the Pacific.
Soon, both the Federation and the Aeyzerian Empire start utilizing the new technology and implement it. Aeyzeria modifies the technology to create MOBIUS Suits, and completely pushes the Vatican forces out of the country, and captures the primary Artifact site in the Caribbean Sea.

[F.E.A.T., formed November 5, 1940]
The Federation arrives late in the technology revolution, as they manage to capture the Mesopotamian site several months after Aeyzeria does. They begin to shove the Vatican back into their original territories. The Federation/Empire Alliance Treaty (FEAT) is formally signed November 5, 1940 and both coordinate their forces to lay siege to the Holy Vatican Empire. The last half of the war begins.

[The Great Push, December 12, 1940-August 1, 1941]
December 12-19, 1940, a lightning fast joint strike at from the Federation’s ground forces from the north and east, and the Aeyzerian Empire’s Atlantic Fleet attacks from the west. The assault concerns almost 500 million soldiers total, and their siege on the borders take seven days before the Vatican defenders are all eliminated. Approximately 10 million Vatican civilians and military die. FEAT digs 200 miles into Vatican territory.
The war’s fiercest battles take place from this time onwards, and the Vatican Empire is ground down by countless assaults by both sides.

[The Siege of Vatican City, March 24-July 11, 1941]
March 24-July 11, 1941, The Federation reaches Vatican City and lays siege to it for four months, joined by Aeyzeria from the south on April 16. This battle is known as the Siege of Vatican City. More than 5 million people die before the Pacific State Intervention Corp arrive.

[Pacific State Paramilitary Interventions, July 11, 1941-Present]
Pacific State was created in response to the Holocaust, around the time of the creation of the Vatican Empire. The Pacific State Mercenary Corp is also highly secretive, which allows for them to be the ‘omniscient octopus’ that the world fears from the end of WWII onwards. They arrive on the 11th, and proceed to destroy both sides. The three-way skirmish lasts about three hours before the Siege ends, and both FEAT and the Vatican retreat to their strongholds to nurse their wounds.
The weapons utilized are highly modified MOBIUS suits, larger in dimension, strength, mobility, etc.
They make one simple announcement- all hostilities are to stop immediately or more combat will ensue, with Pacific State doing whatever necessary to bring an end to the war.
Both FEAT and the Vatican muster their forces and prepare for another strike. However, both sides are warned once again. FEAT and the Vatican Empire reject it entirely, and even go as far as to say that if Pacific State should appear on the battlefield again, then they would be caught in the fury of hundreds of millions of soldiers.
Pacific State returns a famous message: “We’ll meet you on the battlefield.”
July 14, 1941. The superior strength of Pacific State is seen here as the Second Siege of the Vatican begins. The siege continues for about three hours before Pacific State’s Atmospheric Combat Platform, the Turning Point lays waste to both sides, carving a surgically precise strike through the battlefield with her SKYFIRE System. Pacific State’s A6 AMBAS models are deployed to chase both Vatican and FEAT forces further back to Gibraltar and Vatican City, respectively, and force a treaty between the two.
With a gun to their heads, both FEAT and the Vatican succumb to the group’s demands. FEAT acknowledges Pacific State’s power. The Vatican, at first, did not give in, but a massive upheaval/reform changes the hierarchy of the church and chain of command; a new pope takes office and quickly gives into Pacific State’s demands.
Through extensive ‘shock and awe’, as well as a show of power in their ability to keep the world at peace, many acknowledge Pacific State’s ability to be the new ‘world police’, one that can oversee a new era of peace.
Thus, the Treaty of Continents was born.
The Vatican Empire is disbanded, in the following hundred years, the Commonwealth of African States as well as the Middle East Union form afterwards. South Europe is absorbed by the Federation, and the Vatican returns to its simple borders of the Italian peninsula.

From a logical and political point of view, there was not a chance in hell that both sides would consent to such a deal, as it would’ve been impossible to put out the flame of fury that both sides held for each other. However, Pacific State expected this. Using the Civilization Advancement Engine, and a lot of planning, they were able to put an end to the war by affecting multiple aspects of daily civilian life to political affairs. It was because Pacific State had agents implanted into both FEAT and the Vatican Empire that they were able to stop the war- it was truly the culmination of a decade’s work, just in time before Vatican City was destroyed.
The CAE foresaw that if Vatican City were to be destroyed, it would create incredible enmity between the Vatican and the rest of the world, and also collapse St. Peter’s Basilica on one of the most precious artifacts that existed on earth- The first and only CTL Engine remaining on Earth. However, its powers are not utilized until later during the New Era.

[Pax Pacificum, C.E. July 14, 1941-N.E. April 29, 642]
From this point on, there are no wars between mankind until the New Era. Pacific State keeps wars from breaking out by always maintaining a technological edge over the rest of the world, and remains in secrecy throughout its existence, allowing the organization to be on top of any dispute, large or small, and neutralize or create a compromise.

2. C.E. 2100s-N.E. 100s: Gateway to the Future

During this period, technology, utilizing the Artifacts available and found on Earth, has reached a plateau, 2100s. Technology is comparable to ‘Appleseed’ Universe technology. Religions have now been cast away with, as people now know that the Artifacts are of extraterrestrial origin. Of course, more ‘theoretical religions’ rise up out of this.

[Discovery of Ether, 2159]
Professor Edward Anderson discovers ETHER, (Energy Transfer through Higher Especial Resources) a practically unlimited energy source. The world quickly realizes the possibilities with it, and thus dawns the New Era. The population of Earth has reached upwards of 240 billion, living truly across the globe. Projected population growth will be up to 1.5 trillion in ten years.

[The Switch from the Common Era to the New Era, C.E. 2159/N.E. 001]
The world itself is now in a massive technological revolution, and the Aeyzerian Empire takes point. The Vatican Empire donates the CTL Engine Artifact to the eyes of the global scientific community, allowing all to lay their hands upon interplanetary/system travel.
The Aeyzerian Empire proceeds to colonize the Moon with astounding rapidity with more than 100,000 colonists living on the Moon within three months. They develop mankind’s first space-based shipyard: the Syphax Shipyards. They also create the first space-based naval force.
An era of prosperity settles in quickly upon the human race. The Federation is first to colonize Mars, followed closely by the Aeyzerian Empire. Accelerated Terraforming projects by both are begun on various parts of Mars. Other moons in the Sol System are also being colonized, such as Europa, and Ganymede in the Galilean Moons Area, etc.
All the while, Pacific State remains the most powerful force in the Sol System. People do not understand what Pacific State’s goals are, and remain skeptical of the organization. Regardless, they are unable to do much thanks to the State’s superior stealthiness, keeping them out of the sight of even their most advanced technologies and intelligence agencies.

[Discovery of Space-Crease Technology]
Mars, it seems, has Artifacts as well, except they are significantly more advanced and lead mankind to its next space-travel development- a collapsed Space-Crease Gate, buried beneath the Martian sands.
In actuality, Pacific State had uprooted the technology on Earth and planted it on Mars about a decade earlier, in an attempt to help control the rate at which technology was growing. With this, they would be able to traverse great distances to reach other locations- however, it meant that Humanity would have to get there first and build an output gate before anything could be done.

3. N.E. 200s-500s: Self-Struggle

[Frontier-Class Ships Sent Outside of Sol System, 200~300s]
The Frontier-Class ships are built and deployed through the first gates, designed to be one-way deployment gates to help the Frontier Expedition on their way. The Frontier-I Expedition consisted of five ships known as the Perfect Fifth- they were: Bach, Handel, Telemann, Haydn, Mozart. These five ships are deployed to equally distant areas from the Sol System to begin building the output gates. Then the Frontier-II Expedition later on is deployed even further out to encompass the Orion Spur Arm of the Milky Way. This group is called the Major Third, and is composed of the: Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and the Schubert.
Expanding Stellar Cartography and identification allow the Frontier ships to identify key planets with life-sustaining atmospheres. Unfortunately, out of the eight that were supposedly sustainable, only three were found to actually be able to sustain human life: Eden, Paradiso, and Elysium, which later become primary hubs of human culture. Regardless, the construction of the output gates allow for mankind to scatter and form colonies on moons or create large space colonies/stations in places far, far away from the Sol System.
Overall, human expansion is flowing steadily and freely. ‘Adventurers’ begin to spread out throughout the galaxy, discovering new planets, systems, and celestial objects. By 300, more than 150 star systems have been colonized with a minimum population of 200 million humans.

[The Aeyzerian-Federation Conflict, January 305]
The Aeyzerian-Federation Conflict rises in the wake of the newly crowned emperor, Calres Aeyzeria, succeeding the enormously popular Empress Valeria Aeyzeria. He is seen as a new and untrained sovereign, however, his succession was chosen by Valeria herself. The decision is absolute, and while contested by pure-bloods in the Senate, Military, and Court (as Calres is not of direct Aeyzerian descent, but rather adopted by the late Empress), he ascends to the throne.
His judgment and decision-making are poor and misguided. The Lord Chamberlain, Luxinel Il Tranques, after many failed attempts of coaching the young Emperor on the job, decides to take him to the Hazelwood estate, where he begins teaching him the dances of politics and militarism and honor that the country prides itself on. In the meantime, Alexis Aeyzeria takes his place as Acting Sovereign.
Calres, in his stay at Hazelwood, is drilled constantly on what it is to be Sovereign, and the responsibilities that entail the position and the moral and ethical reasons of the position, as well as its great expectations.

[Creation of GAIA, March, 312]
Interstellar piracy and organized criminal activities sprout up around the galaxy- and prompts the creation of an interstellar peace-keeping police organization known as GAIA, initially headquartered on Europa before transferring to the planet Achre in 324.
GAIA expands rapidly, as it is a joint venture by the largest countries in the galaxy, and soon develops a large navy named Skyfleet, which quickly becomes the dominant human naval power in the galaxy, even over Pacific State. It is composed of many branches- the Military, Peacekeeper, and the Overseer Divisions are the most prominent- they are the Enforcement, Negotiating, and Intelligence branches, respectively.
Their ultimate duty is to keep and maintain peace within the human worlds, and protect them from any outside offensive activity, primarily the Entities once they appear.
In truth, they are a front organization developed by Pacific State to help make their job more manageable, and thus, the organization is able to slip into obscurity, allowing them to control GAIA from the shadows without much suspicion. They set up on the planet Achre, which becomes the de facto home of the GAIA Organization.

[The Hurricane Project, August, 434]
A joint project by many of the most dominant powers in the known galaxy at the time, they created eight gigantic ships, which followed a basic design that was 1000 kilometers long and had six built-in, interconnected carrier docks, advanced heavy weaponry and a space colony deep within the bowels of the ship. They are all commissioned by GAIA, funded by the dominant powers, and made to last.
They carry more than several hundred million souls on board at once, with the capacity to acquire FTL travel on its own, allowing it to travel vast distances to answer emergency calls at will.
Furthermore, they serve as hubs of commerce, as an entire economy can be found within Hurricane-Class ships, self-operating and independent in and upon itself. Furthermore, they also manufacture their own ammunition, which gives them large backup stores when engaging large enemy forces. Also, they manufacture their own food stores and have extensive water purification systems, allowing them to be entirely self-sufficient during long expeditions.
They would also serve as colony-planting ships, moving through habitable planets and placing a small colony on it before moving onto others.
All of the weaponry was provided by GRAND Heavy Industries, with the condition that each ship bear a GRAND R&D Field Testing Facility- of course, GAIA gladly permitted it.
These traits allow the Hurricane Ships to be feared and powerful weapons of destruction and salvation, as their reputations spreads throughout the known human world.

4. N.E. 600s-700s: War

[First Contact: Entities, July 23, 635 NE]
In 635 NE, humanity began to venture outside of their long-established territory in search of the life that once populated the many moons and planets in their cluster, that is, the civilization that left behind the Artifacts. Mankind steadily expanded outwards, until, seven months into the operation, they came into contact with what seemed a large group of indigenous space animals. They seemed to be completely harmless, and most surprisingly, there were hundreds of species in the group at a time. Some grew foodstuffs on their back, others raised and looked after the young of all species, others served as part of the warrior caste, on the lookout. Very alien, strange, and extraordinarily tough, as they survived in the vacuum of space. The exploring group at that time, however, did not know that they were looking at what would later be known as a Scout Swarm, a forward group that was sent ahead to perform reconnaissance.
Fascinated by these creatures, they sent a single shuttle out to meet them- once they came within noticing distance of the warriors, they stopped and exited from their shuttles.
Then, a large, and very unique creature approached them, one that would later be identified as a Swarm Mind, or the Swarm’s unconscious collective, merged into one, super-sentient being.
From afar, the entire scene was recorded and sent across EEN airwaves across the known human world. It was hailed as a monumental discovery.
The Swarm Mind accepted their presence and welcomed the occupants of the shuttle into their group. The lead scientists reported ‘feelings of acceptance’ emanating from the Swarm Mind, which gave them the initial cue to enter, as the Swarm Mind did not have any conventional form of communication within the vacuum of space.
Studies revealed a very large familial group, and after several other groups of the creatures arrived, it was clear that they were not the only group of symbiotic creatures in the vast space of dark matter. They were very protective of each other, distant relatives, even complete strangers would come protect one of their young, were the scientists felt to be hostile. Attempts to communicate with the Swarm Mind were, after a while, opened, and the scientists learned that the Swarm Mind communicated via what seemed to be telekinesis, which at the time, was unexplainable (It is now known that their usage of telekinesis is reserved to those who control large amounts of psychic energy, and therefore are able to ‘lead’ a group of the creatures as a hub of perspectives and information)
This sentience was absolutely fascinating, and over time, they had discovered that the Swarm Mind they spoke with lead only a small number of their vast community, which lived far, far away. They (the group itself) had been wandering for centuries, living and dying and being reborn by the power of the stars themselves.
They were also unique in that they could naturally process ETHER in certain biological processes.
Their knowledge, although tribal and primitive, was vast and held enormous potential for research.
They were studied extensively over the next seven years, with new discoveries literally made every day. However, one day, on April 23rd, 642 NE, without any understandable provocation, the warrior caste attacked and destroyed their shuttle, and assimilated the crew into their bodies. The human race was shocked, and scientists, animal behaviorists struggled to come up with an answer. Spacewalks to contact or study the creatures up close were prohibited, and the security detail accompanying the expedition increased almost tenfold.
Observation from a distance continued. The creatures, too, began to mass their warrior caste. No one understood what was happening, but what did happen was the warrior caste tearing the expedition to pieces with sheer numbers. Eventually, the order to retreat was issued.
Three hours after the retreat was issued, outlying colonies were being attacked, and there were also reports of other, seemingly impossible attacks happening on the Core Planets. Death tolls rose to the billions. Gaia deployed the entirety of their forces to combat this new threat, but the sheer numbers of the creatures overwhelmed many of their defenses.
On the sixth day of the continued attacks, the Head Chair of the Board of Directors of Gaia said the following:
“We are being faced with an unprecedented and unknown threat that has taken more than 12 billion lives across almost all of human-controlled space. These… Entities, their reasoning is unknown, but it is clear that their intention is simple- to eradicate human life from the galaxy.”
The word ‘Entity’ stuck, and so they were called as such. Thus, the 500 Years’ War began. The so-called ‘Pax Pacificum’ ended, as not even Pacific State was able to extrapolate the numbers of the Entities and their intent.

[Operation: Breaking Point, 1, May 642]
At the height of the initial invasion of Entities, Gaia launched a massive front to help refugees escape in time before the Entities could infest their planets. A large line was built between the oncoming Entity lines, which at the time, were determined to be innumerable and absolutely overwhelming: the point of the operation was to assist in damage control and to try to save as many lives as possible.
The operation was somewhat successful, but in total, more than 60 billion lives were lost in the primary Entity push, not including those lost in the defense. All Hurricane-Class ships sustain heavy damage. In the end, three trillion survived. However, the loss was by far, incomparable to any other mass killing in history.
For a full month, the human race had the chance to repair, regroup and restart their war industry. In that month, more than 2000 ships were forged and the Hurricane-Class ships were entirely repaired and fit for duty.

[Battle of the Fourth Quarter, Week of the 12th, June 642]
As the first counterattack against the Entity onslaught, the remnants of the Gaia fleet gathered around the Sol System, where basically the entire human race had evacuated to. The Hurricane-Class ships had gathered in a gigantic front to assault the heart of the incoming Entity Armada. The battle was mankind’s first introduction to swarm-type combat, that is, endless numbers of Entities against a powerful defending force. The battle was very active, and lasted for a full week.
This battle allowed Gaia to learn much about Entity combat behavior: that they would fight to their last breath, that they were extremely ferocious, with no regard to personal life, and were extremely, extremely crafty. They were quickly adaptable to situations, able to move units quickly to reinforce a push or lure a combat group into a trap.
The Sky Marshal Diana Ymeris referred to the last two days of the fight to be “the most intense fourth quarter she’d ever played in” after being interviewed several months after the battle. The name stuck.
It was thought to be a true ‘fourth quarter’ fight because of the nature of the battle- it was a last ditch ‘hail mary’ to go for victory.
After the Entities were pushed back, there was a lull in the combat for several months. No major-scale force had appeared during that time, and they were able to build a massive defensive fleet that numbered in the millions: as one construction worker once said, “We just kept building- they gave us the tools and the parts, we built the ships, one after another…”
It was only after two years that the ships were actually counted: 3,554,183.
After two months of peace, it was decided that taking back territory was crucial in winning the fight.
Although, theoretically, it would be safer to condense the entire fleet around the Sol System, it would ultimately put them against the wall in terms of supply- the entire system’s raw materials would run out in under a decade and the entire human race would die a slow, brutish death.
The plan would again, wager the survival of humanity- but the force protecting that wager would be the combined might and fury of a pained species.

[Operation: Purge]
The entire fleet pushed to secure systems closest to Sol. The eight Hurricane-classes separated and deployed with their own sizable detachment to reacquire key worlds, such as Eden, Elysia, and Paradiso, which were full of raw materials for the war effort- which was basically what humanity was thinking about for the past few months.
The Entity ‘infestations’ were the first to be seen on Eden. Whole cities had become covered in grasses, trees- it seemed as if nature was retaking the planet. The Entity population prospered on planets, as there was plenty of biological resources to use. In fact, the biological ecosystems of the planets on which the infestation was present flourished. It was unlike anything they had ever seen.
Upon seeing this, Gaia sent another group of their top negotiators.
The Entities, sensing the desire to speak, sent forth a Hive Mind.
When asked for the reason, it was determined that humankind was a cancer to the universe, and that the Entities themselves were the caretakers of said universe.
The negotiators talked for hours, discussing the problems. The Entities were able to understand the aforementioned problems through what was later determined as a planetary superconsciousness. Humanity had declared itself separate from the superconsciousness of Earth and the universe as a result, due to their deviations.
When asked how to fix the problem, the answer was simply ‘be eradicated’.
At that moment, the negotiators were killed, and the operation came into full motion.
As a result of this knowledge, however, certain extreme environmental groups began attacks against humankind, or mass suicides altogether. Remaining sects of the ancient religions believe that they are in the true end times, declaring the event as god’s absolute will to vanquish the human race.
The psychological impact is great amongst members of the military and the civilian population.
PSYCOM, isolates these events, however, with agreement from all heads of state and were able to keep the ideas of end times under wraps. To this day, no one knows of the events PSYCOM covered up.
As far as most of the world knows, the Entities are simply indiscriminate killing machines dedicated to the eradication of the human race. This has not been and cannot be disputed by normal means as Entities don’t communicate on any front, and humans generally will shoot one on sight rather than communicate.
The operation was a total success, as their incorporation of newly developed tactics and reverse-engineering Entity biotechnology allowed them to gain an upper edge both in and outside of combat.
The ‘infestations’ were re-engineered to work towards human goals while also making the natural wildlife of each world flourish.
It was determined that Ether waves were the source of the Entities’ food, strength, and amazing abilities of regeneration or cellular reproduction. This would ultimately take over the original purpose of stem cells, and would allow for cheap organ replacements, AMBAS limb duplication, super-shortened recovery periods: as when humanity had the power of destruction, now it had the power to create.

[Planetary Prosperity Act]
For once humanity was able to quickly revitalize damaged planets, and bring new life to planets without any. The biotechnology developed proved to be highly adaptive, able to create Goldilocks-esque conditions on nearly any planet.
This gave rise to the Planetary Prosperity Act, as brought about by the IPA. which came to produce an era of natural prosperity, as it stated. It also created laws that prohibited excessive waste and promoted recycling with tax breaks, etc., all meant to help reduce hostile Entity encounters.
As it stands, however, the Entity terror continues to bear down on all manner of human civilization, without mercy. There is no reparation enough to satisfy the Entity onslaught other than total annihilation of the human race. In fact, they seem more disdainful of humanity now that it has utilized their ‘flesh and blood’ to make right. All further attempts at communication are supposedly impossible as the public is aware of, however, forced contact is made with captured Entities, to no avail.

II: COMPLETE LEXICON

- WORLD WAR I (C.E. 1889-1913)
World War I is different from real-life canon because the outcome of the war was a crushing defeat of the Allied powers and a victory by the Axis.
The war ends up devastating the entire world to an unprecedented extent, resulting in extinctions and endangerment of several hundred animal species and major planetary pollution. Fossil fuels are used almost completely up by the end of the war.

-The Italians. They are still as weak as they were in real-life canon, their army and country unstable throughout the war. The Vatican absorbs them in a heartbeat as soon as the Germans move out. Barely worthy of mention.

-The United Kingdom is spearheaded by it's Navy, some of the strongest (albeit when not compared to Nazi Germany’s arsenal) military forces in the Atlantic. They of course, put up a valiant fight, but fall.

- GERMANY
Their blitzkrieg is unmatched in martial might, and they are able to implement Operation: Sealion and take over the British Isles. Most of Europe and Eastern Europe has been taken over, not to mention their forces in Africa have easily defeated any resistance there. They have been unable to, however, brave the cold of Russia. Absorbed by the Eurasian Federation.

- UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
The United States of America is led by a strong executive branch who to return fire at the Germans for attacking their shipping routes. However, America is staffed with highly incompetent generals and admirals, and are failures as far as combat goes. They are replaced/absorbed by the Aeyzerian Empire.

- JAPANESE EMPIRE
The Empire of the Rising Sun, AKA Japan, has an extensive naval fleet, much stronger than they were in real-life canon. They their campaign to dominate their Asian neighbors have in fact, been very successful. They have gone deep into Asia and have established strongholds, especially in Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, etc. They are known for their ‘no surrender’ policy, making them impossible to reason with and dangerous all the more so. They are absorbed by the Eurasian Federation.

- AEYZERIAN EMPIRE
The Aeyzerian Empire is where we would consider Canada. Its origins trace back to the age of the Vikings, when they made their first several expeditions to the New World- they separated from their Scandinavian sister states through revolution and became the Aeyzerian Empire. They are known for being one of the few countries in history that run on a system called the Representative Sovereignty System, very much like the system of the United States’ Federal Constitutional Republic. However, Aeyzeria’s Executive Branch, or rather, Sovereign’s Branch is lead by the Emperor or Empress. Succession is direct vote by the people. The candidates for sovereignty are chosen by the current sovereign. They must be children, trained from a young impressionable age to adulthood in the ways of academia, politics, etc. This is one of the key traditions that has made the country so successful.
The Aeyzerian Empire’s key to success is the immense patriotism and camaraderie for fellow citizens and people who bear the name ‘Aeyzerian’. It is a doubtless trust that is extended to all. Those who violate the trust are cast aside, shamed for life. They may or may not be given the capital punishment, but they will not be given jobs, respect, nor, most valuable in Aeyzerian society: their honor.
Although the tarnished honor of one man or woman does not pass onto family by association in any legal manner, it does affect the overall view of the family regardless, so excommunication is common. What we would consider lowly jobs (janitorial, garbage collector), are jobs seen as essential to the well-being of the state and thusly, the peoples who work such jobs are honored for giving up their physical comfort for the betterment of others.
It is a society that is fiercely protective of the weak, and the weak by circumstance, but never the weak by laziness and choice.
As a merit-based society, money is certainly valuable in that it is the currency of the world, but the true currency of the country is hard work and honor. Display these and you will never go hungry, nor without a roof over your head, or shoes on your feet.
Aside from this national attitude, the monarchy-like upper-class also encourage this attitude while keeping a standard of physical and mental fitness, as to set an example through leadership.

Artifacts are the names of ancient technology found all over the Solar System, perfect working technology that simply sat in lost cities deep beneath the earth and collected dust. The creators of the technology, dubbed the Transcendent by humans, were hypothesized to have FTL technology, the pinnacle of space travel and were a relatively large, space-faring race, since evidence of their existence was also found on other planets during the Frontier Era. These Artifacts are the sole moving force behind Humanity’s technological advancements.

- F.E.A.T. (Federation-Empire Alliance Treaty)
The short-lived FEAT was founded during the Second World War between the Aeyzerian Empire and the Eurasian Federation, in a combined effort to beat back the invading Holy Vatican Empire. This is the largest alliance to cover the Earth geophysically in the history of the Earth-based alliances, covering around 2/3rds of the world’s surface, land and sea.

Pacific State – Pacific, from Pacificum, meaning peaceful in Latin, State, as in a state of mind or region.
It is referred to as ‘Pacific State’, ‘The State’ or simply ‘Pacific’. The organization is immense in size and power, and its reach extends into every government, organization, and agency. Although it has made many public appearances throughout the years, its objectives are never known to anyone outside the organization itself. Theories from the outside world suggest that it is a terrorist group, others believe that they are extraterrestrials (because of their high level of technology), and some think that they are the harbingers of the Apocalypse.
Regardless, Pacific State’s duty is never officially revealed to the public in its existence.
In reality, its duty is simple. The organization exists to further the development and prosperity of the human race, using whatever means necessary. By ‘development of the human race’, it can mean a matter of things- inciting a war to help develop a sense of patriotism and pride in a falling/fallen nation, introducing a new technology into the world to help progress the expansion of humanity.
They are a group firmly dedicated to the cause, to the point where even if their names are slandered and stepped on, it would not matter- as long as the goal was reached.
Their decisions and plans are made by what is called the CAE, or the Civilization Advancement Engine. It is an Artifact that is wirelessly integrated into every form of electronic media or storage, absorbing all information and sorting through it. This allows for a massive and practically complete understanding of the world, through cultural, political, economical, financial, etc. data. This system predates humanity by several million years, and was found buried deep beneath the sands of the Sahara in an expedition in BCE 622
Where it was found or developed is known only to a handful of people in the State. Its location is also highly classified. Should it be destroyed, the long-term effects might/would/could be catastrophic.
That being said, Pacific State also understands that they cannot possibly control or understand all aspects of human life, therefore, the CAE does makes attempts to correct but usually lead to failure.
As said earlier, they are literally everywhere in the world, especially in the New Era, where they go where humanity goes- a parent growing alongside child, so to speak. The Agents themselves lead normal lives, acting whenever it is needed or ordered. If seen from the outside, they are simple civilians, with no traces towards the State, since their technology is superior and they rarely contact each other (Agent-State, vice-versa) unless needed.
With the creation of Gaia, however, they can work under the guise of Gaia’s Special Orders.

-C.A.E.
The Civilization Advancement Engine is a semi-sentient (that’s what the experts think) device that has the ability to gather information on every subject matter via wireless/quantum electronic integration (in theory).

- ATMOSPHERIC COMBAT/STAGING PLATFORM TURNING POINT
The Turning Point is a large vessel that hovers at least 5 miles above the Earth’s surface at any given time. It is in the shape of a large ‘flying saucer’, approximately 1.25 kilometers across its center. It has three stabilizing Anti-Gravity Pylons placed equal distance from each other on the rim of the Platform, with the primary AG Engine located right underneath the center. This is also where the SKYFIRE System is centered.
The platform, like the others are safezones in which where Pacific State agents and members can relax in safety.

- THE TREATY OF CONTINENTS
A forced treaty between the HVE and FEAT, overseen by Pacific State. Its conditions are an unconditional cease-fire on both sides.

- PAX PACIFICUM
Pax Pacificum is a period in which Pacific State maintains overall peace over the Earth- the peace is through sheer intimidation, but the intimidation remains within the upper levels of government.

- E.T.H.E.R. (Energy Transfer through Higher Especial Resources)
ETHER is an energy that exists in every facet of matter, and is most rich in the dark matter of space, aether/ether, in which the name was partially derived from. It exists in minute forms, but with technology such as an EWH, or Ether Wave Harvester, one can collect the energy rapidly and in mass amounts at once. When the energy waves are taken, it is replaced instantaneously by another, and since the Universe is theoretically expanding rapidly, there is essentially no end to this energy. The discovery of ETHER solves practically all of Humanity’s power problems. Almost every piece of technology revolves around the harvesting and expenditure of Ether Waves. The side-effects of using ETHER are practically non-existent, besides the fact that it produces at times immense amounts of heat. There are some third-world countries that still use fossil fuels to power their country, however those countries are small, far-between, and rare.
The source of Ether Waves themselves are assumed to be excess particles bouncing off the limits of the Universal Barriers. Their rate of travel is thought to be faster than light, similar to fast enough to transcend time. Thus, the present always contains more energy than the past or the future.
In fact, they are excess psychic waves emanating from the Entity Hive Mind, Omega.

- CTL (Close-To-light) TRAVEL TECHNOLOGY
Mankind’s first step into the stars involved usage of CTL Technology- because FTL (Faster-than-light) Technology was impossible (at the time). CTL Technology allowed mankind to travel a full-light-year in about a year and three months, which meant that the entirety of the Sol System was up for grabs. This allowed humanity to expand rapidly throughout their little part of the galaxy and paved the way for short-range intergalactic travel.
A CTL Engine must utilize Ether Waves to power its systems, however, since it requires large amounts of energy to operate at peak levels. A CTL Engine is used only for traveling distances usually in-system. More CTL Engines do not equal FTL. They may equal ELS (Equal Light Speed), but not FTL.

- SPACE-CREASE TECHNOLOGY
Space-Crease technology is based on the theory of folding time-space to allow instantaneous travel to one spot or another. It is more or less an Einstein-Rosen Wormhole maker. It requires the creation of a massive circular structure in deep space (away from celestial bodies such as the sun, planets, moons, etc), with varying sizes. In order for a gate to work (conventionally), there must be an output gate at the intended location. The largest Space-Crease Gate was made by PlanetMovers Inc., at 9034 kilometers across in diameter, allowing them to transport planets. They can be extremely fragile if tampered with in the right places, and are used to travel long-distances (10 LY or more), similar to commercial airlines of our current time period.
Although technology was developed to allow wormhole creation, there was the problem of whether or not they could safely traverse the wormhole itself, as it would take a special type of exotic matter. The solution arose from the use of Ether, and through that, created the ESB, or Ether Shielding Barrier, which would protect them from the wormhole’s initial and final bottleneck structures when passing through.
There are Gates that can be built to rupture time-space forcefully on the other end of the wormhole, but this means that traveling group will not be able to return. This technique was used often during the Frontier Era, to set up output gates at their assigned location.
They are the modern-day equivalent of commercial airlines.
Speaking of commercial airlines, Space-Crease Gates also have their own ‘commercial gatelines’, which include, but are not limited to: PlanetMovers (large celestial object transportation and relocation), CrossSpace Intergalactic, Tachyon Transportation, Archangel Wings Gatelines, and GRANDAIR Gatelines Division.

- FRONTIER ERA
The era in which mankind broke free of its shackles to the Earth and spread into the stars. Historians dispute the length of this fabled era, but it’s estimated to last from 200~300 of the New Era Calendar. This century was filled with stories of adventures, exploration and colonization. Many compare it to the immigration of many European countries to the New World in the Common Era.
Most notably, however, were the Perfect Fifth and Major Third Expeditions, which greatly expanded human reach in the star cluster.

-THE ORIGIN SYSTEMS
The Origin Systems’ name came from the Sol System being in the center of the Milton-Cartesian Coordinate Chart, with the Sol System being at 0, 0, 0. (x, y, z coordinates) The planets closest to it and colonized during the Frontier Expeditions.

-EDEN
A planet that was found on the Frontier-I Expedition by the Perfect Fifth. Found as a biologically diverse planet with a largely tropical climate, it was perfect for people wishing to find a place to retire to in their elderly years. Thus, it was a highly sought after planet by the rich. However, the planet was colonized quickly by the Empire of Aeyzeria in its early days, and soon became a full-fledged colony of the already vast empire.

- GAIA ORGANIZATION
The Gaia Organization was created in response to the growing piracy and organized crime that began to develop after the Frontier Era in March of 312 NE. It was developed as a joint project by the Aeyzerian Empire, the Martian Union, the Triumvirate of Orion, and the Commonwealth of Eden. In truth, it was actually orchestrated by Pacific State in an attempt to make their work easier, using Gaia as a front for their operations, allowing them to fade into obscurity, while still manipulating and shaping the world from the shadows.
Thus, the Organization grows to reach every vestige of human settlements and her colonies, acting as a universal policing force with a sizable fleet and a large enough number of independent personnel to wage war against all known nations and win decisively.
There are several prominent branches of the Organization: the Military, Peacekeeper, and Overseer branches, and under them, a variety of other divisions.
[Military]
Under the Military Division, there are three major branches- the first is SKY, which holds the largest military fleet of any kind to date, with more than 200 million capital ships sailing under their colors. They also command the largest mega-capital ships known to man; the Hurricane-Class battlecarriers. They are under the ultimate command of the Sky Marshal.
The second major branch consists of ground-based military forces, are under the name TREE. They consist of more than several trillions or forces distributed at stations or established bases throughout the known human world. Their superior numbers, with the ability to be ferried by Skyfleet virtually anywhere, makes them a force to be reckoned with.
The third major branch is OCEAN, which, like their name, holds command over the seas. Their craft are aerial-capable and can dive and work underwater for extended periods of time. They are versatile, but don’t have as much armor plating as Skyfleet ships do, nor have the capability to break atmosphere. And, just as SKY ships are under Skyfleet, OCEAN ships are under ‘Seafleet’, which is a term the enlisted created that the Admirals frown upon.
All in all, they work together to cover their weaknesses and although their names may indicate specialization in their respective geographical zones, they cover all fields well enough at least until the respective branch comes in to take over.
[Peacekeeper]
The Peacekeeper Division are known for the great number of negotiators that have settled hundreds of thousands of disputes ever since its creation. Although there aren’t many large-scale disputes, for example, between countries as most of the problems have been eliminated. They consist of highly-trained politicians, lawyers, philosophers, any who may be crucial in helping along the ideology of society to promote overall peace. They are often called upon to give professional opinions on situations and the like. In order to promote this, the Peacekeeper Division is treated as exempt from the rest of Gaia’s General Doctrine, as to not restrict their thought process. They are also treated similar to a university, in that it accepts students and teaches them in the same fashion a university outside of the Organization would, while also hosting a variety of brilliant minds in grants, funds, etc. In the same regard, Gaia’s Peacekeeper Division also funds research projects on the sciences, engineering, and a plethora of other fields. The primary center of Peacekeeper activity is on Achre, at the Peacekeeper Academy.
[Overseer]
The Overseer Division is designed as a purely intelligence-gathering division. They are combined, to some extent, with Pacific State’s CAE, allowing the Overseer Division access to all sorts of information. Rumors in the public say that the Overseer Division’s Mother Server on Achre holds all information known to man, public or not- which is true, but Gaia doesn’t say anything about the matter itself. They have Public Servers, which hold information that is not hazardous if revealed to the public, and then there are the Restricted Servers, which are only accessable, once again, on Achre.
These three primary divisions of Gaia are formidable in that they wield extraordinary influence over military, political, civilian and intelligence sectors, giving them an almost unchecked range of power.
However, they are kept in check by the Council of Directors, all of whom oversee the operations of Gaia as a third party and give their professional opinions as they see are necessary. Their words are kept in the highest regard and considered at every turn.

- ACHRE
The heavily fortified headquarters of the Gaia Organization. It was found on the Frontier-II (Major Third) Expedition as a possible planet for habitation, and at three times the size of Earth, with high terraforming potential. With the creation of Gaia, the entire planet was put through an accelerated terraforming program, in which the planet became livable within ten years, in which time the headquarters of the Gaia Organization was based on Europa in the vastly smaller ‘Ice Vault’.
The terraforming process was completed in 324 NE, after finalization and geographical mapping, the planet was populated immediately. The process revealed Achre to be a very temperate planet, with a large number of mountain ranges and evergreen-type vegetation. Animals from other planets were introduced to Achre as part of the Species Regeneration Act proposed by Gaia several years back.
With the new planet just for Gaia, construction went underway immediately for shipyards both in orbit and planet-side, bringing the slated initial count of ships of 200,000 into reality, forming the first ranks of Skyfleet. At the same time, the Mother Server was transferred from the Ice Vault on Europa to Achre, and hundreds of thousands of construction projects began all over Achre.
Most prominent were the: Zenith, GMASCOM/SKYCOM, Peacekeeper Academy, Mizrahi Laboratories, and Tanner Armories, which all centered around the Leonid Mountain Range.
[The Zenith]
The Zenith is where the Mother Server and Masterframe is stored, as well as Pacific State’s CAE. This area is highly restricted and completely walled off from outside access. Any physical access/contact with the Mother Server, Masterframe, or CAE is impossible unless through demolition of the twelve layers of triple-reinforced Valantium, not to mention the three miles of hardened rock beforehand. Any cyberattack can be physically stopped by disconnecting the cables and deactivating the privately maintained EEN that connect the Zenith with the outside world. However, that is only under grave circumstances, as the CAE’s internal security system can disable any intrusive coding with ease. The Zenith was originally built by drilling a large cylindrical room into the core of a large and thick mountain- once there, they set up a EWG (Ether Wave Gatherer) as well as a self-maintenance system, and set up the interface from which the Masterframe could tap into and the Mother Server and CAE would both be hooked into. Once everything was set, tested, and ready to go, they sealed the chamber, sucked all the air out and piled back on top the several hundreds of billions of tons of rock they had removed beforehand.
Mount Zenith itself is surrounded by numerous defense systems, and is constantly patrolled. Should someone make it within the Zenith Room, however, and bypass the numerous Hellwalls, they can control Gaia at will. Thus, is the reason for the heavy number of defenses.
[GMASCOM/SKYCOM]
The headquarters of all Gaia is at Gaia Master Command, (GMASCOM) is where all roads lead, the heart of decision-making of Gaia. SKYCOM is also based on Achre as well, proximally right next door. This was necessary, since Sky was certainly the largest of the three Military-Divisions, demanding its own headquarters. However, it still falls under the command jurisdiction of GMASCOM.
[Peacekeeper Academy]
This is where some of the most brilliant minds in humanity meet to learn, study, research, and develop new technologies towards the benefit of mankind. See Gaia Organization, [Peacekeeper] for more details on the Peacekeeper Division. The Academy’s admissions process is very strict, requiring 3.75 GPA for mere consideration. Actual admission into the Academy requires one to pass a physical examination alongside a very intense testing period in which to decide worthiness for admission. These two events take place alongside each other, and is called by many alumni and students as ‘The Marathon’. However, if there are those who are handicapped, but show an outstanding determination for the academics, admission may be considered only on the admission tests. Admission is considered to be extremely praiseworthy throughout humanity.
Classes themselves are intense, but feature extensive hands-on training taking students throughout the human world. Students are known for their ‘work hard, party harder’ attitude, and therefore, are, at all times of their waking hours, tired.
Since its creation in 326, only several hundred million have graduated from the Academy. All of them have acquired high-range jobs with Gaia or with large companies, such as GRAND Heavy Industries, Longbow, and Claudius and Sons, amongst others.
[Mizrahi Laboratories]
These labs are a part of the Peacekeeper Academy, where some of the most potent bioweapons and medicinal cures are created. Biomedical, AI, Biomechanical, and a variety of other engineering projects are worked out here. They are also known for splicing some of the best AMBAS body structures in the known galaxy, and for producing very controversial weapons involving sentient weapons systems.
[Tanner Armories]
Also a part of the Academy, the Armories create new forms of weaponry, from beam tech to ultra-long range sensory systems that can disable a ship’s power at will. Aside from GRAND Heavy Industries, this is the most prolific R&D weapons developer known to man.
Around the Leonid Mountain Range Facilities, there are the Dunkirk Shipyards, GRAND Heavy Industries’ Primary Production Factory, and Astral Dynamics’ Research Facility and Testing Range.
[Dunkirk Shipyards]
The Dunkirk Shipyards were named after Vice Admiral Jackson E. Dunkirk, an officer made famous for his rallying speeches and his brilliant usage of oration. This is where over half of Gaia’s ships go for dry-dock, commissioning and decommissioning, as well as construction. There are over 6,000 ports here, not including 200 construction ports and the 73 extra-large ports.
[GRAND Heavy Industries Primary Production Factory]
It is also here that GRAND Industries constructs its larger weaponry and also its more experimental weapons. Furthermore, this production factory also mass-produces the Zodiac Series of AMBAS.
[Astral Dynamics Research Facility and Testing Range]
Although not as large and as powerful as GRAND Industries, Astral Dynamics is a primarily avant-garde research and development group, rumors say that Astral produces devices and system so close to the edge of science that it may even be considered supernatural. Their technologies, although few, are perfected to the extreme, and are definite game-changers in the world. Of course, this is the picture that is portrayed to the outside world. In truth, this is a front for Pacific State’s R&D Department. Technologies are abundant in nature and are released when the time is considered ‘right’.

-THE HURRICANE PROJECT
The largest joint undertaking ever by man, by the same forces that helped create Gaia. The creation of eight Hurricane-Class ships were to be created, alongside the slated Zephyr, Gust, and Tornado-Class: fighter, battlecruiser, and combat platform, respectively as complements of the Hurricane-Class, which would be built in vastly larger numbers.
In essence, Hurricane-Class Battlecarriers were built with one idea in mind- the ability to say alive independently far away from any source of help. When optimized, they could operate for three years straight away from any form of resupply or reinforcement. Thus, normal tours of duty are limited to two years. They are sent out four at a time into the outer colonies to keep an eye on things, while the other four stay near the Core Planets, namely Earth, Eden, Elysia, Paradiso, and Achre. Every two years, they cycle out.
They were decommissioned one after the other biannually from November 8, 1056 and on, after the 500 Years’ War, and were stripped of their heavy weapons except for their point-defense systems and placed into locked orbits around the Core Planets.
Keels were laid August 3, 434 NE, for eight ships, the Terra, Alexandria, Olympia, Son of Heaven, Archangel, Sol, Yggdrasil, and Lion’s Roar. They were the only ships slated for construction in the Hurricane-Class.
Their design was inspired by the fact that mankind would eventually have to commence long-range expeditions that would require the expedition itself to be away from a home base for an indefinite amount of time. The Inner Convex was designed with that in mind. Serving as a cylindrical space colony with own artificial sun and gravity, each Hurricane-Class would have these units in them, at just under half of the length of the Hurricane-Class, at 550 kilometers in length, and 120 kilometers in diameter. This takes up a considerably large amount of volume within the craft itself, and the total surface area provided is: 82,500 square kilometers, comparable to a small-to-moderately sized space colony. The total volume within the Inner Convex is 12,723,450.25 kilometers cubed.
The colony is equipped with a variety of supplies and natural resources to help the ship survive on its own for four years, with its reserves sealed away in airtight chambers for a total of six years.
As the ship is designated as a Battlecarrier, it must have docks for the tremendous number of ships that sail with their respective Hurricane-Class. There are the primary docks in the front, from smaller to larger, front to back, respectively, filled with the classes mentioned several paragraphs above.
[Size/Shape/Design]
As mentioned above, the Inner Concave (the colony-area) cylindrical in shape and is 550 km in length, and 120 km in diameter. The ship itself is at 1150 kilometers long, from the tip of the front primary communications and sensory array to the end of primary sublight engine.
[Weaponry]
As the craft is meant for long-range reconnaissance and expeditions, it is armed with a state-of-the-art point defense system, consisting of over twenty-thousand Phoenix CIWS gun batteries. There are also a variety of missile batteries all along the belly, midline, and topside of the ship, allowing for full directional coverage. Since the craft itself is loaded with multiple ammunition depots and raw materials to make the ammunition itself, Hurricane-Class ships can operate almost indefinitely. These are declared Tier-1 defense systems, suitable for small-density swarms and small fighter squadrons.
Tier-2 defense systems consist almost entirely of beam weaponry, able to burn swaths of destruction through tightly packed Entity Swarms. These systems are based around the midline of the ship, as well as the dorsal midline.
Tier-3 defense systems consist of the ship’s main guns, which are both large-bore explosive shells and heavy beam cannons.
