What Is Your Favorite Anime?

Technically that'd by Pokemon from Kanto to Johto (and I'm starting to really, REALLY dig Kalos). But I have issue counting that as an anime. So I'll instead say the first half of Gurren Lagaan. Right up until after they defeat the Spiral King. Beyond that I kinda lose interest in it.

My favorite anime hands down is Revolutionary Girl Utena. :D Everything else just tends to be pleasant background noise, but I do favor Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell pretty highly.

I think the most recent anime that has managed to steal my heart is Log Horizon. I mean, it's not an "original" concept, for sure, but the way it is done amazes me and the characters are awesome. <3

And DUDE, both Cowboy Bebop and Trigun have made me cry. T-T The FEELS, man! THE FEELS. Now, Trigun I can re-watch from time to time, but I cannot watch Cowboy Bebop again. That one just got so dark that it depressed me for a few weeks afterwards. x.x'

They do indeed have their moments, but Trigun always seems to balance things out, especially with its comedy, so you're right about cowboy bebop taking the dark cake. xP It's still a blast to watch though -- they're both masterpieces.. *-* I got an idea, just imagine Ein during those dark moments ! best. dog. ever. xD


btw I just finished watching Ouran High School Host Club and I loved it. I'm not all that into dudes, but after watching this I've been conver-- lmao jk xD despite that it was incredibly entertaining and hilarious. Tamaki's the best though xD

Ein really is the best dog ever. (So is Tamaki--*is shot*) I'm so glad that you finally watched Ouran! <3 I don't really like the typical pretty boy that they show in anime, myself. xD However, I just think the humor in it is just perfect and makes up for all of the fan service.

However, I also feel like a lot of the fan service in there was purposefully over the top just to make fun of the typical fan service that most anime usually has. Especially with the love moments between the twins, like ouch. xD That hurt my brain.

I can't decide if I like Tamaki's kindness more or Kyoya's horrible attempts to hide his own kindness. It really does send a good message towards good morals. ^^ Have you seen Eden of the East, by any chance?

Yeah, the humor was great and even some of the "fan service" had me dying. xP LOL the twins fan service was borderline bl twincest, but it was funny w/the girls fangirling over them. They definitely went over the top on purpose though lol.

I feel the same way, but one thing I do like is the relationship between them.. it's funny, especially when they first met and Tamaki was pissing Kyoya off... Angry Kyoya is great. xD Not yet, but I do have it on my watch list.

YES. Angry Kyoya makes me so happy! I also was so shocked on the episode where he was being so rude to Haruhi in the mall just to try to convince her that he's only nice because it would benefit him. I think it added a certain depth in him to see all of the various sides of him.

But I think they did that well with all of the characters. I don't think enough animes build on so many characters in one anime like Ouran does. Most only focus on one or two characters to add any kind of depth or trope to them.

And for Eden of the East... Dude, you're gonna love it. xD Especially the first ep. It has some great "wtf" moments. However, I'm biased for it because it's an anime that has some very clever plot points in it.

Speaking of clever plot points...AJIN. That anime is AMAZING. I freaking love the cleverness of the villain. I mean, one of my favorite anime villains OF ALL TIME. He makes me so happy. xD

Indeed, they really did try to flesh out the majority of the cast over each episode which was nice. Kyoya and Tamaki are my two favorites, though all of the cast was very likeable.
