Back Story: Originally from the Millennium Tribe, Jazz was orphaned at a young age, but never really grew close enough to her parents to truly morn them, or feel as though she had genuinely 'lost' something.

She was adopted into a small cloister of orphans by one of the tribes shamans; a kind, older woman who later trained Jazz in the art of hunting.

She was always the weird child, the outcast, the strange changeling who never quite fit in. She claimed to hear, and see, things no one else could, and the sureness in her eyes meant she was to be believed. But it was a strangeness of the mind, not magic, that left her touched in this way; and it was a condition none knew how to treat. But she was steadfast, loyal, and good at what she did, so she never much needed anything in the way of special treatment.

Jazz's magic manifested early, and was a rather unique case that set her apart from the other villages mages. Since they couldn't understand it, she was quickly hailed as a prodigy, no matter how good or bad she did in her magical studies.

But, Jazz, ever determined, persevered, and honed her magic as well as she could under the guidance of many tutors.

As she grew older she eventually met and fell in love with a boy, Solace, who had been training under one of her mentors fellow Shamans. The two were inseparable, and married at the tender ages of 19.

His 'death' is something she seldom speaks of, but something that traumatized her greatly.
