L'avaielle Empire Empty L'avaielle Empire

Post by JerriLeah7 21st July 2013, 12:26 pm

Key Points to the Empire:

(Lah - vie - yeh Em - pie - er)

--Lots of lands/Moutains
The Empire has much land and many mountains, all of which have become the homes of small villages throughout.  Although they are not as prosperous or well known as the rest of the Empire, they are quite helpful in many land trade routes and house several traveling merchants, especially during winter.

--Verdania,Sathran, Watera Town
Verdania is the largest town within the Empire, housing many Force Users and connecting with the reservations, although they aren't as close as many would like them to be.  The Security around the reservations are shared with this town and it holds many helpful "guide points" for reverting to reservations and making such a life change adapt much more smoothly for newly registered Force Users that have either been caught and are well behaved or have just discovered their powers.  This also assists with Force Users that have non-force user families with this adjustment.

Sathran's main trade within the Empire is fishing and seafood, a large competitor with the Free People of Genevsa.  Although they have less waters to use at their advantage, they have enough citizens within this town alone that excel in fishing and other such skills to remain in the highest sellers for seafood.   They also trade heavily and their restrictions on traded goods is much less severe, as is their security to traders.  As such, Sathran is sometimes negatively called "The Pirate's Denizen."

Watera Town is a town that has electricity run in a more archaic way--by water wheels.  A lot of them.  In fact, many of the town's residents live in a more traditionally fashioned life-style, making them a smaller, less popular town, despite the fascinating way that the town is energized.  Not many force users or refinery workers enjoy living here, but some still do.  However, the town is heavily isolated and trade to this area is difficult due to the large rivers, ocean, and mountains that surround its borders.

--Tunnel to Genevsa
There is only one way to enter and leave the city within Genevsa, other than by a sea ship.  This is by an underwater tunnel that leads from the city and onto land just near Watera Town.  However, the tunnel is separated from Watera Town by a series of mountains, and the entire tunnel entrance is a territory that is almost considered to be shared between the two countries.  There are many treaties written in this region of the country, including allowing rights for the are to be protected by both Empire Guards and by Genevsa Soldiers.  Traffic here is heavily watched, security is high, and the region itself is tense, due to the Genevsa and Empire relations not being on the best of terms at this time.

--Reservations/Refineries
The Reservations and Refineries here are the most relaxed and least secured of all other refineries and reservations within Aria.  However, this does not mean they are easily broken into or that laws are not enforced.  These are, however, much more friendly and mentally healthy, as well as have the least pollution from the refineries, themselves.  To know more about the reservations, please see "Verdania."

Covina Enters L'avaielle Empire from City Dedonia.

As the train arrived, she flipped over her pad and slid that and her pen into her bag as she headed off the train and looked around for the direction of the office so she could go and collect her bike and get on the road.

As she walked towards the office hewr eyes glanced around at all the high security, frowning. she didn't realise there was so much security.

[ATTN:  Nikkitty]

Unfortunately, the Genevsa Tunnel has the most intense and time consuming security procedures of any exit or entrance to a country within Aria.  Fortunately for Covina, however, leaving Genevsa is far simpler than entering it.  As she steps off of the train, there is a line leading towards a security checkpoint where bags are opened, searched, and checked.  While this is happening, the person's aura, ether levels, and ether meter are scanned and confirmed with the passport information.

When one is not a Force User, this process is faster, but the confirmation of luggage within the cargo train is just as slow, which she will be stopped for, due to the size and registration paperwork for her bike.  However, after all of this is completed, she is finally released into the Empire with no troubles, along with a helpful pamphlet that shows various town and city locations, as well as how far they are located from the tunnel entrance.

When she was finally out of the tunnel and at the entrance she looked down at her map, tilting her head as she twisted and turned it this way and that. Eventually her plan was to head to Moultania, towards the city of Coldrion where the largest Force User imprisonment center was, It had always intrigued her since she'd been interested in Force users, why not head there and write and find out about them at the same time. After that she had no idea where she was going.

But for now. She decided Challiswor. After something to Eat. Looking at her map she though about riding towards Verdania. Decisions Decisions. Climbing on her bike she looked at the map one more time before folding it and putting it away and riding towards Verdania where she hoped there would be somewhere to sleep and eat and plan her next step.

Waking up the next morning in the Inn she'd found she stretched and made herself a cup of coffee taking it and her pad and pen out to the balcony the room came with. It was a lovely morning and with a bit of caffine in her she could get something ticking in her brain. This was after all only the start of her.. adventure and it was such a vibrant and interesting town. Taking a sip of her coffee she started scribbling.

After travelling through the tunnel you find your self usually within the L'avaielle empire turning towards the empires largest town Verdania which connects to reservations and is home to force users and their non force user families. The large town has beautiful scenery of the mountains and lands...

Sighing she looked back out at the force users, it looked lovely here, homely but not what she wanted to find. Something was being hidden which is why she wanted to keep travelling and find the truth. Throwing her pen down she stood and finished her coffee walking back inside to dress and make sure all her stuff was packed.

Heading down to get breakfast she paid for her night and climbed on her bike driving towards her next Destination, Challiswor.

Quinn flits her wrist, finger extended up, and lights it's tip like a match. It's so vivid and free, yet at my command. With it I could burn down entire villages if I so pleased. Why am I allowing myself to be under such restraint. Her eyes brightened like embers, "Fire has so much power," she mouthed enticed.

Suddenly, Flint places his hand hardly on her shoulder, "Focus," he hissed. Quinn reluctantly obeys, the light in her eyes fading. She touches the fire to an iron sheet on an anvil set out before her. Quinn raises her finger and the flame grows bigger. When the iron glowed a red color she stopped.

Clapping her hands together, she breathed. Her fire took the shape of a hammer in an instant. She hit the iron with it sharply, banging at it with great speed until it formed a sword. Engulfing it in flames once more, she grabbed the sword and threw it. When she caught it the medal had cooled from the force of her throw. She smirked confidently and presented it to Flint.

"You must learn patience, Quinn," is all Flint said, and he took the sword, walking away. Quinn's face reddened with anger.

"Come back," she demanded. But, he ignored her further. Fuming, Quinn gloved fire over her hands and threatened, "Come back or I'll destroy you," her voice shot up two octaves and her ears and tail were no longer hidden. Her fur spiked and her ears drew back. Used to her temper, Flint showed no concern. No one would hear nor see Quinn in their secluded area of the reservation, Flint thought to himself. They never had, after all. He was much to smug in this lie.

[Attn: Quinn, Open]
[POV: Flint - NPC]

Flint walked out of the smithy, pausing only long enough to put the sword in a barrel along with many others... all made by Quinn. She threatened him again one last time as he left her there in the Smithy, a building made almost entirely of stone as was tradition among his people for his trade. Flint highly doubted that Quinn would damage his shop, after all Bonnibel his friend and Quinn's mother had helped raise the building along with the girl's father and some others.

He walked across a wide path, a fire break that lay between his home and the place he did business. The business was slow, but somehow despite everything he made it through. Long had the days of blades and armor had passed them behind, now it was the age of gunpowder, but even that was falling away to the shops and ether tech.

He opened the screen door and entered his house, going through the wide open home and skirting the solid wooden table. Coming to the kitchen he opened the cabinets and started pulling out what he needed to cook. He set the skillet on the table, then set about gathering the ingredients. He needed to use the eggs today, then later he'd have to go into the village and ask Lelu for another basket.

Taking a bowl, he tossed in the flour and beat in some eggs. Eventually when it was ready he lit the stove with a match, and waited for the skillet to heat. The dollop of grease began to melt and he rolled it along the skillets surface till it was coated, then started making pancakes.

Quin would come along eventually, when ever she cooled down. It was one thing he knew, kids always had to eat, well eventually.

As Flint walked away from Quinn without a word, as should've been expected, Quinn couldn't help but yell profanity in response. "@#%!" Her skin got hot. She knew she would regret her actions later and carrying out a fight with Flint was just too exhausting anyway. So, she ran to her usual corner of the store.

Here she sat and wrapped her tail tightly around her waist, breathing deeply. She closed her eyes and let her face relax. Her ears flattened down against her head and her tail's hold loosened. "Ugh," she moaned, slumping into a laying position. Why Flint was teaching her patience, she didn't know. Her resent for this was apparent. He always wanted to do things the right way, but he was wrong. As far as Quinn was concerned her way was the only choice, and her choice was always correct. Power was what was most important.

Her thoughts suddenly took a new turn. "Rose," she mouthed her sister's name. She wondered where she had gone, it'd been ages since their last battle, how strong was she now? -*grumble*- Quinn decided she was cooled down enough that it was about time she found Flint. He sure as h**l wasn't coming to find her anytime soon and if she wanted to eat she needed to use his kitchen. She stretched her back, her tails and ears pulling backwards. And, with a small flash of light, they were hidden once more. Quinn did not want to confront him after her rage, she might have another outburst if he set her off. But, she tucked away her skepticism and  followed the scent of food that now wafted through the room. She could only guess it was pancakes so it must be early morning.

She walked upon the same pathway of stones she did so often before she found Flint's home. Pausing, she sniffed the cool, dawn air. Sure enough, the morning was just rolling around. With a thud Flint's door swung open, "Flint, I'm done freaking out." Her weak attempt at a joke failed. She sighed, closing the door behind her.

Flint turned his head to look over his shoulder as Quinn entered the house. He merely grunted that he heard it without using words before turning back to the skillet he was using. His spatula flipped the last pancake onto a plate heaped with the things.

Quinn had already taken a seat, and Flint took down a plate and loaded a few of the hot cakes onto the plate. He walked by her and set her's down in front of her, settling a bottle of syrup next to the butter already on the table.

He still hadn't said anything as he sat down with the remaining pancakes and waited for Quinn to finish topping off her hot-cakes. When she finished he took the Syrup with a "thank you." and proceeded to get ready to eat his.

They sat there eating their breakfast, both too stubborn to really talk to each other. And definitely not when food was available. So he waited, paitent for Quinn to talk first.

Quinn took a break from eating. Flint seemed to be scrutinizing her expression and it made her uncomfortable. "Look, I'm sorry. I realize it was overly dramatic for reacting that way, but it's just my theatrical side coming through." Quinn winks jokingly as she says this; anything to end the awkward silence.

She paused for half a second before she continued, her expression hardened. "I refuse to abide by such a needless thing as patience. If you have a problem with that then you can take your opinions and--." Stopping herself, she realized she was getting louder. Quinn gripped the table's ledge. She wanted nothing more than to obliterate it in a blazing fire but held back afraid of the consequences. She came here to end the fight.

Quinn closed her eyes and breathed, waiting to see if Flint had anything to say. She was sure he'd either say too much or too little, regardless transferring the same message. Yet another reason why she disliked him.

It had taken a few minutes and flint was enjoying his pancakes when Quinn finally broke the silence. She tried to kid about it but it wasn't funny. Theatrical side? Flint hadn't been aware they where part of a play.

"I refuse to abide by such a needless thing as patience. If you have a problem with that then you can take your opinions and--."

Even though Quinn seemed to be trying to suppress her emotions, Flint wasn't happy about her telling him off. Even as she schooled her emotions trying to act like something besides an impulsive emotional brat, Flint thought how to respond.

His fork stopped near his mouth, which was set in a hard line. He raised his eyes to the girl sitting across from him, frowning.

"or you'll do what? Turn me to ash?" Flint muttered darkly while lowering the fork to his plate, not worrying if his breakfast went cold, it was already ruined. "Go ahead, Quinn. Then the next time some jerk ticks you off, you can burn them too; all because you didn't have the patience to learn a little self-control."

"Now, go to your room." Flint ordered pointing towards the stairs, as if that finished the argument.

Quinn hissed, "I'll show you." This had never happened before. Quinn wasn't one to give an empty threat, and when she had she knew it. But this time, Quinn felt nothing. No anger, sadness, hate, or regret, just an odd, empty neutrality. She knew what she was going to do. Flint had insulted her power and she had to prove herself.

The only person who could calm her down and help her to think sanely was Rose, and there was no sign that she would return.

Quin stood up, her menacing gaze meeting Flint's. She then set her heals to flame and kicked her leg powerfully flexing her foot back, all in one swift motion. A deep red flame erupted from her foot and gashed into Flint's chest. Afraid of what she might see, she winced  and squeezed her eyes shut.  She had never hit a person with the intention of killing them before. The sensation she was filled with now was new as well, and she did not like it. A huge feeling of anxiety came over her, but she continued to lash out at Flint.
...

Quinn screamed in fear, what was happening to her, what was he doing to her? An unrecognizable whirring sound began and suddenly, the warmth that usually spread throughout her when she launched her attacks was gone. Instead, it was replaced with a cold feeling, so cold it hurt to move. Quinn's breathing weakened until she was gasping for air. Her attacks slowed but she refused to give up. And, all at once, the sound stopped, Quinn opened her eyes, and steadied her aim for a last attack. She thrust both hands forward with her remaining strength and a huge flame engulfed Flint's entire body.

What Quinn had done still hadn't sunk in.. she stared at Flint's corpse with wide, vacant eyes.

[Attn: Quinn]

Standing above the charred remains of he former master, Quinn notices the spent canister of a fire extinguisher laying near by. It is charred and scorched though not nearly as bad as the blacken crispy remains of Flint. Luckily little else of the house is damaged or on fire due to the limited control of your power of flame.

Even as the horrid reality that you have in fact finally flown off the handle and killed someone, some small part of you thinks that he kinda smells just a bit like an over done roast.

Sooner or later your mind will eventually get back on track and you will realize you have only a few options available to you now.

1: You can attempt to hide Flint's body and act like nothing has happened. Which is made slightly easier due to Flint's isolated nature from others in the reservation. However sooner or later you know that people will come to investigate when the work they have requested isn't done.

2: You totally can run away and try to get away from the crime scene and maybe find your sister or start a new life. Though it might be difficult without anyone to help you out.

3: You can turn tail and become a criminal and just take what you want from life, after all who can stop you? Not anybody, and most definitely not Flint Mc-dumby pants.

[Time: 6:30ish AM, Saturday - L'avaielle Empire]

3: You can turn tail and become a criminal and just take what you want from life, after all who can stop you? Not anybody, and most definitely not Flint Mc-dumby pants.

Quinn shook off the cold white foam, shivering. She looked down apprehensively, a scorched fire extinguisher was by her feet, that was what he was attacking her with. By the fire extinguisher, was Flint. He lay on the ground, his limbs frigid. He was covered in thick sulfur that made him unrecognizable; there was no doubt that he was dead. Quinn's eyes wandered hesitantly to Flint's. His calm, insightful eyes were forever clasped shut.

Quinn screamed flinching away as her heart began to race. "Did I go to far, why did I do it, how can I fix it?" She couldn't find any answers. All she knew is that Flint was dead and it was her doing. Quinn drew in a sharp breath, she still felt cold.

"Okay... he's dead." Quinn said, shakily. The room looked as if it was spinning around her. She sat down in her chair, still seated in front of the kitchen table, to try and calm down. She closed her eyes to think. "Flint is dead, he had been making us breakfast," her eyes flashed to her plate of food, now covered in foam and slightly burnt. "..and then I killed him because he said I need more patience and self-control."

Quinn stood up. "What an idiot! He was the one who continued the fight, not me!" Quinn lifted up the chair, scorching it's legs, and threw it against the wall leaving a huge dent. "It's not my fault," Quinn screamed breathing deeply. She shook her head blinking away tears, "I didn't want this to happen!" Quinn ran from the house as fast as she could not looking back. She didn't know where to go, but she couldn't stay there with him, she hated him. "This is your fault Flint, it's your fault," she thought enraged, her life was falling apart thanks to him.

That fateful morning Quinn left the reservation never to return again, the decision already made for her.  If she went back she'd have to face the authorities. If she stayed, what would she say when someone asked about Flint? She couldn't. She couldn't do it. Quinn was just about ready to burn down an entire city, she had to get away.

L'avaielle Empire Empty Re: L'avaielle Empire

Post by JerriLeah7 4th December 2013, 7:22 pm

This role-play is now closed due to the following reasons:

1.  MethosArchaic no longer has time to assist as RPM.
2.  Several members have voiced an opinion of keeping it private within a smaller group, defeating the purpose of this RP.
3.  Inactivity; inability to get a response from inactive members.
4.  Christmas Holidays require the use of the RPG stylesheet, which is currently being used by this role-play.
5.  Several inactive members have implied or stated that they will not return in the near future.

This role-play may come back as a smaller role-play.  No further massive role-plays will be run by Leah7 on this forum ever again.  There is  not enough people that are willing to work together outside of their normal, small cliques to make this kind of role-play work--especially for one of this scale.  As such, never expect to see this style of role-play again, but you may see this setting again, if you are invited.
