Industrial Commonwealth of Mittgar Empty Industrial Commonwealth of Mittgar

Industrial Commonwealth of Mittgar 28jz71z
Main ICM Refinery

Key Points in the ICM:

--Main Refinery, Main Volcano
The Main Refinery sits above the Main Volcano, both of which are the largest of their kind within Aria.  This area has the most pollution and ash, and the area is so dark that lights must be placed everywhere and flashlights become part of the social norm from day to day life.  This place is secured and only those with the right clearance will be able to enter, especially due to security precautions.

--Air/Ash/Darkness
This entire country has dry and polluted air, as well as dark skies where the sun is rarely seen.  It is harder to see and breathe, so respiration masks and goggles have become quite the requirement for anyone that is outside on a regular basis.  Ash is always falling from the skies and the heat here is so heavy that one must have lived here for several months before feeling anywhere near comfortable from the desert-like heat.  It is also important to note that because of this, cities, towns, refineries, and other such structures must run off of high levels of energy and ether tech, due to the need to make rooms cooler, hydrated, and clean.

--Shipping Area
The ICM does have a small shipping area of its own, but it is small and lacking.  This is not only due to the inability to really fish here, but also due to the fact that the majority of the waters nearby are owned by the Republic of Etheria, where all of the major trade routes are located.  As such, the ICM must go through Etheria for the majority of their trade, making it heavily reliant upon their routes and ships to keep their refinery trades high and efficient, as well as what few airships can manage to safely travel through their darker, polluted air.

--Mines/Available Land/Stolen
The ICM also has much northern land that is available and has few living within it.  This is due to the fact that it was actually recently stolen from the Hinterlands, and the borders are now heavily guarded to prevent anyone from trying to take it back.  However, the lands are heavily polluted, but also have many mines for various minerals and materials that assist in the ICM's prosperity.

Industrial Commonwealth of Mittgar Empty Re: Industrial Commonwealth of Mittgar

[Attn: Closed]
[POV: Lucas Gennis -NPC/Mine Foreman]

"I don't care how stable this rock is you lackwit! Buttress and support the damn thing!" Lucas screamed over the screeching, grinding cacophony of the drilling rigs down the tunnel. The walls themselves had various chips and gouges from the bits teeth. The walls where black and the occasional speckling of white doted the rock walls. The air was dusty and everyone was on air. Their masks puffing out swirling clouds of dust as they exhaled.

"Seriously Sir, the dang thing is made from granite and Basalt, the dang thing is solid. I should know, the dang thing shit is particularly dense in this region, the excavators are having hell." There was times when Lucas hated the fact that the guns running the operation contracted several different companies for the work, this was one of them. This guy was giving him lip, all because he wanted to cut a corner and save some creds. Typical business behavior anywhere you went.

"And what the hell do you think will happen if you hit a steam pocket or Vent? Or find a dang fault line? In case you've forgotten, south of us our primary reactor is a damn volcano!" Lucas reminded the idiot, who on fairness sake had probably not gone into tectonics and volcanology. There might be someone on his crew that had, but not this idiot.

"Fine!" The guy caved in, Lucas would only keep baggering him till the man did his job right. They where searching down here for deep metals and minerals. In the next few minutes they would pull a stop, take a break. The other men would scour the equipment, perform maintenance, and they would resume work after consulting with the techs and Lab-coats. Who knew maybe they would change direction more than a few degrees, or start another branching tunnel.

This role-play is now closed due to the following reasons:

1. MethosArchaic no longer has time to assist as RPM.
2. Several members have voiced an opinion of keeping it private within a smaller group, defeating the purpose of this RP.
3. Inactivity; inability to get a response from inactive members.
4. Christmas Holidays require the use of the RPG stylesheet, which is currently being used by this role-play.
5. Several inactive members have implied or stated that they will not return in the near future.

This role-play may come back as a smaller role-play. No further massive role-plays will be run by Leah7 on this forum ever again. There is not enough people that are willing to work together outside of their normal, small cliques to make this kind of role-play work--especially for one of this scale. As such, never expect to see this style of role-play again, but you may see this setting again, if you are invited.
