Re: Character Creation Poll
I do like to play the neutral characters that can be developed into good or evil. My characters have been primarily goodish and healers. Although I am branching out a bit. I like my evil characters to be more intelligent evil than chaotic.

I love my characters around the chaotic good, although I don't mind the others either. And as class, my love for rangers and clerics is equal.

Re: Character Creation Poll
My characters often revolve around chaotic and neutral. I do NOT like being bound to the law and rules, so lawful characters are NOT my forte, while I do not like goody-goody OR evil to the point where I can't RP with anyone when I'm not in combat.

I prefer neutral since I don't particularly like good or evil. They're just two sides of the same coin. I've kinda gotten bored with the use of magic and brandishing a large weapon. Although I still find Necromancers interesting, martial arts are more appealing to me, so I chose Monks as well. Also, I prefer lawful over chaotic. I love characters with class.

Re: Character Creation Poll
I like chaotic characters the best. I can't do lawful characters and neutral characters are fine. I'm equally happy with good, neutral or evil, depending on what type of character I've made. As for classes, I like magic users of most types with the exception of wizards and fighter/rogue types are good too because they're generally well rounded. But really, combat is usually my lowest priority when making a character so I just tend to pick a class based on how I want to design the character tbh!

I loooooove me some villains, and I probably lean more towards neutral characters rather than lawful or chaotic ones, but I do enjoy all three. I enjoy rogues and sorcerers more than any other class because I prefer playing characters who don't exactly excel in head-to-head combat. I find it more fun that way.

I tend to enjoy more orderly character, which kinda fits to my style of detail posting, and definently prefer good guys over evil people though it can be fun to occasionally play evil incarnate. Though that one post in Three Kingdoms I wrote about the Beast Possession disturbed me tons.
As for character types, I enjoy both coms and non-coms. Also tend to enjoy playing skillful or intelligent people, magic can be a bonus but I think that too many people enjoy playing with magic and it can be a tad over rated or over used.
After all if everyone has magic then you aren't really all that special or unique either. Besides I totally believe smarts and muscle can over power magic if played correctly. Most magic people tend to rely on it too much, after all its reliable and usually pretty deadly, so why do I got to worry about training my body to fight - kinda logic.
The main thing with me is creating very real characters, and trying to bring them to life. Even if that life is the horrible life of a papermache balloon.

Re: Character Creation Poll
I chose Chaotic Evil Druid.
Why? Because I don't really hear much about evil druids let alone chaotic ones since the Druidic Order is well... orderly to some extent. Definitely have traditions. It would be neat if there was a Druidic faction intent on spreading the plant life in the most hostile fashion to make a vicious utopia... a dark Eden.
Down with civilization. Our vines will rip apart your walls. The poison of our flowers will defeat your armies. Our rot will destroy your crops. The only fruit that will save you is in our hands and we aren't the giving kind.
Character creation itself I tend to have a niche of intelligent, curious, capable types no matter what alignment they are. Take a librarian who is cut and dry and loves to learn. Make him travel and give him the arts as inspiration as he goes. His smarts make him versatile to disable things that would get in his way, but he is not confrontational or usually all that deadly.
I try to break away from that niche many a time, but this is still a category I love to implement at least once per story. And I can still vary it enough to get very different results so it won't go stale.
I like characters whose very existence cannot be summed up in a sentence or two, or even put into words sometimes. They have deep qualities that make them unique even if someone else was exactly like them in every other way. They question reality and make you do so as well in the process. Their point-of-view is singular and they want people to understand something of it; even if it only brushes on the surface. They seem disconnected, but in some way they are actually just connected in a way that is hard to categorize.
