Lilianna's Protection

Lilianna sits down at the base of the Tower of Sin, kneeling forward into a bow with her head over her knees in prayer. There are quite a few people out, far more than normal when a Summoner enters the Tower to be sure. Some are there by offering support, others by mere intrigue. Even all the members of her temple have arrived, most confident that she will not only triumph, but have placed bets on how long it will take her to clear the tower in full.

They are all talking, cheering, whispering, and milling about; they make noises of rattling and turning and laughing with their free and careless moments in their lives. She grits her teeth as she opens her eyes for a brief moment, glaring at the small prayer mat below her in frustration. Lilianna is angry--so much is at stake. So many believe in her and expect so much of her just because of her Summons...but she is weak. She can do nothing but rely on others and one day, it will get her killed. Probably within this very tower.

Pay attention.

Her mind snaps back, her eyes closing and shutting out the distracting sounds of the small crowd that have found the entrance to her cursed fate of death. She hates this place already, yet she has never stepped one foot within its walls. Lilianna knows she will not be able to clear it. She isn't good enough and she isn't lucky enough.

Pray.

"By the blessing given to me from the Embrace of the Goddess, I pray to the spirit realm of those that I have contracted." Lilianna whispers softly to herself as she kneels. "From here, I enter the Tower of Sin. Who will actively protect me on this first day of my trials? Speak now, so that we may connect and travel into the unknown together as allies and friends."

"Get some distance while your Summons holds it off." Lxxi advised, "If it starts throwing it's weight around it's likely to cause parts of the rooms to collapse."

Lxxi while perfectly able to create shelter or a hiding hole, knew that this creature burrowed through the place with ease. So far none of the previous entrees had seen the beast or much sign of it. Was it some sort of creature that sensed magical energy? Had it only recently been trapped inside? Surely the Tower would try to contain it best it could, but the thing did need to be disposed of before it damaged the Tower to greatly.

Pyralis was much stronger than Lxxi that was for sure, but he hoped Pyralis was strong enough. "Either way it needs to be killed, before it damages the structural integrity of Sin and gets out." That much was for certain, if they could do it quickly then he might be able to repair some of the damage in time.

Lilianna panics, hearing Rosary's voice in her head as Pyralis moves her away and LXXI speaks afterwards. She's shaking from fear at the giant thing, stepping away quickly with wide eyes as the thing shoots out acid from its giant, creepy, mouth-thing.

He face pales and she squeaks a bit as she quickly runs in another direction, going in a circular path in hopes that it will be facing away from her very soon, its attention focused on Pyralis as its head moves down to slam down upon her. She instantly becomes worried for the woman, and fear wells up into her stomach in hopes that Pyralis will be okay.

Pyralis is fighting the great worm as Lilianna makes her escape, moving as far from the creature as she can before she realizes that she's almost moved too far away from the summons. If they were to move too far apart, she would have lost her link with her. She facepalms. Basic knowledge, stupid! Don't lose intel over fear, geez!

She waits a bit, unsure what she should do, now that she is unable to assist Pyralis with magic like other summoners could. She scowls.
