First topic message reminder :

Character Closure RP - Page 11 The_jo10

Amongst hills and grassy plains, where a few trees rustled in the wind here and there, pillars stood, made of a black and purple stone. It is soft and cold, despite the overhand of the warm sun. The blue sky contrasts with the fresh, green grass and the day is quite beautiful. The pillars seem quite out of place compared to their natural surroundings, the simple designs on their circular surfaces whispering of something more than anything that could be natural.

The Pillars:

There were six of them, each almost identical with the others. Three pairs shared a base design, though all were topped with the same height at six hundred feet into the air. These pillars, of course, are not natural at all and are born of magic. From the tops of the pillars, travelers are known to appear from other worlds, having been granted passage by some portal or another. Only one rule is kept here in the passage of the pillars that stand so erectly in their circular pattern of green surroundings: One may never pass through unwillingly.

In other words, no traveler has appeared at the top of these giant structures without choosing to be there for some reason or another. Today, on a beautiful sunrise, the cold stone pillars are found with new visitors to this new, mysterious world. As they awaken to cold winds bright daylight, with rustling trees and no immediate, physical way to get down to the ground's level, the Gods of this new World look down at the visitors and wonder what brings them here.

(OOC: Please note that each character came here willingly, following the person that you posted is "important" to them through a portal into this world. The circumstances and details to how or why you followed that person through are yours to create.)

[ATTN: Group]

Asher grimaced, watching the others step on the disks before he finally did the same. He wasn't worried about the fighting - he was more than willing to join the fight against the witch, a fight would definitely make him feel better - but he really wasn't excited about the ride there.

He crouched on top of the disk to brace himself before the thing started moving, looking like he was going to be sick already as they waited.

[ATTN: ALL]

Before long, the great Pillars become visible in the distance as they ride/fly on towards their destination. Taeyrn can't really concentrate on the view, due to the massive winds and unsteady disc under his feet, though he believes that if he could only get more used to this speed, things would be easier to sense...

It will probably be quite some time before the reach the Pillars, despite their speed. He can only image just how much longer this would take, had he tried to walk this distance as they had originally intended to. Days, probably. Days before they had reached grounds that had food for hunting, according to Celsetta's information. Guess they are lucky to run into her, despite her odd form of transportation.

They ride for several minutes before when Taeyrn looks up to see a flash of bright light--an arch of brilliant red in the sky that casts a red hue down upon them all. He pulls hands up before his face to protect against the wind as he gazes up to see what is going on.

The red light is falling now--ready to land upon them. The Guardian's hands go up in the air above his head as he flies at the front, a green barrier rising up in the shape of a sphere with the pattern of thin, plated hexagons all touching each other. The hue of red-vision switches to the deep green of the barrier and Taeyrn notices that the thing Celsetta is driving has slowed.

As they are beginning to halt, the party has come to a halt as Dracara roars upwards, her eyes to the sky. The red lighting lands upon the green barrier and explodes violently, shaking the ground and everything around them as the debris flies and lands upon the spherical defense and then rolls towards the ground.

Luckily, Taeyrn is still on top of one of the floating discs, so he feels nothing. Celsetta's contraption is also above the ground, levitating, so there is nothing for her, either. She simply looks up at the enemy with unease through her odd helmet, pulling out a gun as her expression shifts to a seriously focused one.

Silence. The Guardian and the dragon simply sit or stand still and wait, looking about in all directions to find their foe. Taeyrn is nervous, more than usual. He looks about nervously and then finally decides to step down from a disc--but slowly, so as not to interrupt the tense quiet about them.

At first, he sees nothing and begins to feel impatient. After all, built up tension over a longer period of time really gets under his skin. However, a glint of light can be seen in the sun and his head snaps over to see several figures in the distance on the edge of the barrier, just outside of it.

They all stand there together, as if they are waiting to be let in or invited in. He can't quite see who they are, but the Guardian's barrier goes down as he orders everyone to stay with him and to tread carefully as they approach. Tae decides to do as he is told, walking slowly to the figures as they walk forwards, also.

Dracara doesn't move, but something tells him that she won't have any trouble with catching them up. Celsetta simply moves her floating device foward, slow and quiet with a steady hum coming from the activity as she follows behind. As the enemies get closer, he realizes that all of them look pretty powerful.

Eventually, most of the figures stopped, but one woman stepped ahead of the others and approached the Guardian, specifically. She stopped with a distance of about thirty feet between the two of them, her eyes cold, but also...strange looking. They are glowing. She looks human, with pale skin, black hair, violet eyes, and a simple, black dress with a black, over bust corset at her torso.

When she speaks, her words are echoed into the atmosphere, repeated by dark shadows. Taeyrn's blood goes cold as he hears the hissing sounds and threatening tone of her voice--it's really creepy.

"You brought an army, but I have brought mine." She says, "Just give me Gantis and there will be no battle and I will spare the lives of the Pillars."

The Guardian looks at her with no expression, as always. Taeyrn isn't surprised by this in the least--but who is Gantis? The Guardian says, "Gantis is the last of his kind. You may not have him. And for your transgressions against the Pillars...your sentence is death. Unless..."

"I surrender?" The woman asks, clearly amused. She scoffs at him and is ready to say more, but her gaze moves to Nymeria. A light fire erupts from her eyes, glowing brilliantly as she bares her sharp fangs at the girl. Taeyrn cringes. She's definitely not human. She must be the witch.

"Elenora," The Guardian says, "Let it go."

The witch backs away, her gaze never leaving Nymeria's as her face shifts into that of hatred. As she rejoins her fellow warriors, she leans forward with a raised head as her jaw opens--so widely, not a human that Taeyrn has ever known could handle it.

The sharp, razor-like teeth all become accentuated in the pit of her mouth as she lets out a shriek so loud that Taeyrn is knocked to his knees instantly. Everyone else seems equally effected by the scream--except for the Guardian, Dracara, and the Drake, that is.

Now on his knees, he places his hands over his ears and grits his teeth against the sharp pain in his ears, hoping that it will end soon. Sure enough, the Guardian holds up his arm and a green blast of cosmic energy shoots out of his palm and into the Witch's stomach--or so Taeyrn had thought.

Rather, the woman had lifted up her left arm and a blue, circular symbol floated in the air above it that acted as a shield against the blast. When the small explosion was over and the debris of the atmosphere was lifted, there she stood with her magical barrier, looking enraged--at Nymeria.

The battle began.

{Attn: All}

Geneva hates riding like this. As if her stomach was not already in knots. She doesn’t even look up until she can feel the disk slow down. It appears that the air around them has turned red and green. “Wailele this looks like some bad Christmas lights.”

“Probably not as cheerful either.” She flutters around Geneva. “I have a bad feeling about this.”

Geneva flinches as the red begins to batter the green shield. She can see the ground tremble around her and for once is thankful for the disc she is on. She know that would have knocked her to her ass.

Wailele looks beyond the shield angrily. “We may have a fight on our hands. It will be good for you to flex your water skills.”

“You may be right.” Geneva is unsure what to think. No she is not the same girl in denial, but she is not as strong as she wish she could be.

After all the shaking and rumbling, there is silence. Geneva looks around and sees Taeryn step off the disk. She follows his lead. She cautiously takes a step forward, one can cut the tension in the air.

Then they appear, just outside the barrier. They are some human like and nonhuman creatures. The guardian lowers the barrier and instructs them to stay close to him. Geneva nods and does just that. She looks side to side at the others hoping that her eyes do not reflect the anxiety she knows she is feeling.

The enemies stop all but one. It is a human like creature. She wonders if this is the witch. Just the sound of her voice turns Geneva’s blood cold. She looks askance to Nymeria as she gives her terms. One that the Guardian refuses. She referrers to them as an army. On what planet are they an army? They are just a misfit band brought together by chance.

She is then knocked backward by some horrible sonic blast coming from the witch. She blocks her ears and squeezes her eye shut to try to block out the pain. The Guardian rescues them by making the witch stop the noise.

After that it was obvious that the battle was on. Geneva grins at Wailele when she sees the water she needs to do this battle. She has played enough video games to know that one takes care of the minions first before the boss. She concentrates on the water to form a small spear like object. She flattens the front to make it sharp before launching it at the enemy closest to her.

She was a human like creature with red hair. Her outfit reminds Geneva off a red and black gothic armor complete with rose like appliques. Almost like one a person would see in a video game. In her hand is an illuminated rod that pulses with red energy. Geneva does not want to know what it would feel like to get hit by that.

The enemy dodges the spear and smirks at Geneva. “A water mage, well this shall be interesting. She touches one of the roses and as she pulls her hand away from it. It appears like little black pieces are coming off it. Geneva’s eyes widen as the woman throws the black needles at her. She barely gets a water shield up in time to black the majority of them. A few get through and slice into her.

Geneva narrows her eyes. “So you want to play like that. Well I can do the same.” She make some water arrows and launches it at her. She twirls her around hitting most of them, but not all.

She quickly counters by a shot of light emanating from the rod. It hits Geneva. She suddenly feels calm and relaxed. The sounds of the battle disappear. It is like she is in her own world. She looks over at Asher and Taeryn who are fighting their own enemies. She smiles at them and tucks her hair behind her ear. *I never realized how cute they are. I wonder how they would look like with their shirt off.*

Wailele looks at Geneva who has stopped fighting. She sees the Geneva has a flirty grin on her face as she looks at the guys fighting. The enemy begins to draw some more thorns from the roses. She flutters around “Geneva, Geneva wake up. She finally tackles Geneva over to avoid the needle. “Flirty time can come after the battle. I know the guys look hot covered in sweat, but happy time can come later.”

Geneva looks up at Wailele coming out of her daze. “What happened?” The sound of the battle come back. “Oh you are in for it now. I barely know the guys.”

Character Closure RP - Page 11 Empty Re: Character Closure RP

[Attn: All]

As the group rode on each of their respected machines, Nymeria continued to meditate, admittedly having a hard time doing so. She wouldn't dare close her eyes, so she just focused on the horizon ahead rushing towards her at breakneck speed. Controlling her breathing was also a struggle, as wind poured into her nostrils as well as her mouth whenever she opened it. To think this sensation of speed would be gone after just an hour or two. Nymeria guessed that after the fight, everyone would be able to go home somehow, or they'll end up dead.

Eventually, a dazzling red light shone down from the heavens, forcing Nymeria to cover her eyes. The red sky turned green as The Guardian cast a shield around them all. Nymeria took a sigh of relief, thankful that someone so powerful was on their side. However, the feeling of security jumped out of her heart once an arc of red lightning struck the shield. Nymeria couldn't feel the lightning's power, but she knew it would have destroyed all of them if it weren't for the shield.

A group of figures appeared out of the sunlight, and the Pillars were ordered to approach carefully. Nymeria stepped off the platform, drawing her dagger and short sword. She held both with a tight grip, creeping along with the others until both groups were close enough to read each other's appearances. One woman stood ahead of the others, probably the witch that wanted Nymeria's head. Her voice had a haunting reverb to it that echoed throughout the area. Nymeria and Elenora's eyes meet for the first time, and what Nymeria witnessed was only the stuff of nightmares.

A deafening scream rocked Nymeria to her core, forcing her to drop her weapons and cover her ears. She's experienced abilities like that before, but never to such an intensity that paralyzed her on the spot. Once again, The Guardian saved their asses, this time by firing a beam of green energy at Elenora. When the dust cleared, Nymeria was not surprised to see the woman unscathed, surrounded by barrier magic. Elenora continued to glare spears into Nymeria's heart, The Guardian burst in to distract her. With that, Nymeria and the others were left to fight Elenora's henchmen.

Nymeria reached to pick up her weapons, but a silver spear landed but a few inches from her feet. One demonic woman stepped forward with a face as emotionless as a doll, but her intense gaze told that she had her sights on Nymeria's heart. The woman reminded Nymeria of herself, albeit a little too much. Her burning red eyes were matched only by her painted lips and oddly light hair. And the strands of red layers made the woman appear as if she were wearing her muscles outside of her skin. It was a clear sign that she was another blood mage. However, the woman's magic had a more ominous sensation. A dark aura that even Nymeria avoided. The woman's horns were a matching fit.

"What kind of hell-spawn are you?" Nymeria asked. As soon as she finished her question, the spear sublimated into a ghostly smoke, traveling back to its wielder before turning back solid.

"I should ask you the same question. Never have I seen a human utilize blood magic, not unless they surrender their soul to the blood they posses." Nymeria stood frozen, somehow worried that her comrades would learn of how she gained her powers. She shook away the thought; it wouldn't be the first time she scared someone away with her abilities. All that mattered was taking out the demon, then the witch. Still, being able to use her blood to envelop herself so intricately was something Nymeria could only do under intense concentration, and her opponent seemed to have it down like it was second nature.

"I was instructed to rough you up a bit, so Elenora could finish you off herself. So let's see how well you've manifested your power..." Just as the woman's last words trailed off, she bolted for Nymeria, sprinting with the lightest of steps. In a matter of seconds, she was on the lone blood mage, thrusting her spear right for Nymeria's pelvis. She narrowly dodged the point with a pivot on one of her heels followed by a small leap away. Without her blades, drawing her own blood would be a lot more sloppy. With her legs poised to doge, Nymeria waited for the demon's next attack. "I've never met a human with such aptitude for dark magic, so I offer you my name. I am Anateya, the spirit of vengeance. Prepare yourself."

Anateya hounded on Nymeria with more thrusts from her spear, stabbing for various locations on Nymeria's body with frightful swiftness. Nymeria contorted herself to evade every advance, taking steps backward as she proceeded. Anateya grinned, pressing her assault harder as she inched closer with every step. Eventually, Anateya made a move for Nymeria's thigh, successfully predicting where Nymeria would dodge. Nymeria gasped as the edge headed for her leg, but before the point made contact, it turned to smoke, whisping around her. Of course. Nymeria remembered. Her spear could turn into a gas, but why? Nymeria found her answer when she saw a red spike dig into her shoulder. "The spear was a diversion..." She grunted.

Anateya's smile grew wider as the spike pushed further into Nymeria's body, touching the bone inside. "Your blood tastes delicious...almost like a sweet wine that's had a century to ferment. So rich in flavor, so savory. Mmm..." Nymeria pulled the spike out of her as she paced backwards. There was a gaping emptiness in her shoulder where her flesh should have been. She stared down the inhuman monstrosity before her, acting as if the wound never existed. She hoped to conserve her energy until she figured out a plan, but Anateya wouldn't allow that. She wanted to see the extents of Nymeria's ability while she still had life in her.

"Alright..." Nymeria whispered. Anateya saw the sadism in Nymeria's eyes. With a gleeful smile and her spear pointed forward, Anateya's eyes burned with energy. "That's right, show me the darkness that resides in your heart! Show me how far you've fallen from humanity!" Nymeria removed the outer clothing, revealing a close-fitting body suit with shoulders and arms left bare. She let the blood from her shoulder snake down her arm until it collected at her fingertips, at which point the liquid stretched into needle-like protrusions 5 inches long. She then pierced the wrist on her other arm, using the blood to form an active web around her forearm.

Anateya responded in kind, forming a quivering blade over the back of her hand. The two women slowly stepped closer towards each other, ready to snap into action at the fall of a hair. Nymeria removed her footwear using just her feet. She dug her heels into the soft earth, getting a feel for the ground beneath her. All thoughts left her mind; she only focused on overpowering the enemy. "Come!" Anateya cried before planting her spear in the ground. Nym hurled herself at Anateya with her arms tucked in and her upper body forward. Her advance was cut short when the spear instantly rose and thrust its tip forward. Nymeria changed her momentum within seconds, darting around the spear and rearing for a jab to the gut. Anateya easily avoided the attack, slapping Nym's hand away with her bladed back hand.

The blades easily cut into Nym's skin, but her blood never left its wounds. Nym never backed off, going for repeated jabs with her needles, but Anateya countered them in one fluid motion after another. Still, Nymeria pressed forward, taking every chance to strike. Eventually, Nymeria's needle hand was sliced all over from failed attacks. Anateya, already losing interest in her opponent, took the offensive, following every swipe of her clawed hand with a stab of her spear. Nymeria avoided the assault, but only enough to get scrapes and cuts all over her torso. The pain was like getting cut by a knife a thousand times, but none of the cuts were very deep.

Frustrated, Anateya sped up her attacks, ripping into Nymeria until she was bleeding head to toe. "You're a resilient one, I'll give you that, but if this is all you're capable of, then you don't stand a chance of fighting Elenora." Anateya initiated another attack with her spear, but somehow it completely whiffed past Nymeria's torso. Nymeria took the chance to counter, using her webbed hand to cling onto Anateya's outstretched arm. The blood on her arm grew appendages that instantly dug themselves into the demon's limb, absorbing the blood inside. It was the first time she tasted the life essence of another blood wielder, and powerful one at that. Anateya stood shocked as the whelp tried to drain her.

Grimacing, Anateya formed the blood on her free arm into an ax to free herself. Before she could, though, Nymeria sunk her needled fingers into Anateya's chest. Anateya roared out in fury, swinging her guillotine-like ax upon Nym's needle arm with the strength to sever her limb in two. With her hand embedded in Anateya's body, she lost it in one blow. The sound of ripping flesh and severed bone echoed in her mind. Gripping Nymeria's other arm, Anateya forcefully ripped herself free of Nymeria's blood-sucking barbs with terrifying strength. She shook off her now bleeding arm, glaring at Nymeria's pain-ridden face. Chuckling with glee, she threw Nymeria to the ground and pulled the hand out of her chest. "You're damn full of surprises...I ought to devour you for pulling a dirty trick like that. Damn that Elenora! Why must she have you to herself!? Gods take her!!!" Anateya looked over to see how she was fairing. Thankfully, she was still busy with The Guardian, giving her a little more time to play.

"Looks like Elenora's still not ready for you yet. I'll just have to indulge myself while you're still here~" Something was wrong though. Her drained arm wouldn't stop bleeding. The wounds remained open despite her regenerative powers. Not only that, but the wounds in her chest wouldn't heal as well. She could feel her heart bleeding without stop. Her strength began to falter. Her burning eyes glared at Nymeria's mangled body. "You..." She hissed. "What did you do to me?"

"Another one of my 'tricks'." Nymeria huffed. While Anateya hurried to wrap her wounds, Nymeria staggered to her feet. "It won't matter how much you bandage yourself. The internal bleeding will make fighting a hell of a lot more difficult. Heh..." Anateya growled in frustration. To be outsmarted by a petty human's antics was more than embarrassing. She would make sure the living pile of cow manure would pay for her tactics, although she was impressed when she noticed Nymeria's blood inside her, forcing her body to hemorrhage. "I've underestimated you, I admit that, but Elenora's on a whole different level. She'll ruin you, no matter how many time it'll take."

Nymeria winced, unfazed. "I'm well aware of that, which is why I'm going to get more power." Anateya realized right away what Nymeria was after, so she quickly raised her spear to defend. Nymeria launched herself at Anateya in a frenzied state, making no effort to defend herself. Anateya lurched her spear forward, expecting the blood woman to throw herself onto the blade. Nymeria did exactly that, driving the spear right through her right lung. Her body stood in a daze as she coughed up a bloody mouth. Anateya peered with shocked eyes, wondering why the woman would be so crazy to wound herself like that. An eerie silence fell over the scene as Nymeria's body ceased moving. Anateya looked back at Elenora's battle, feeling unsure of herself.

"Oh shit...Elenora won't be ha-" Anateya's words were cut off by a bloodied hand buried in her heart. Nymeria upper body had arched forward, the spear had pierced clean through her back. Her head hung over her own shoulders. Anateya was awestruck by the lengths this woman had gone. She's finally seen the resolve that brought Nymeria this far. She sighed calmly, allowing herself to get consumed. For a brief moment, she felt assured Nymeria would put Anateya's powers to good use, although she would make sure to pay Nymeria a visit sooner or later. As the last of her life essence flowed out of her, Anateya's body crumpled to its knees, its hand still grasping onto the spear that procedurally dissipated into the air.

After completely absorbing Anateya's blood, Nymeria doubled over, her whole body tingling from the supernatural power that she claimed. She writhed in her torn up robes, feeling a burning sensation wash over her. The veins in her good arm twitched as the foreign blood and her own blood mixed. All she could think of doing was squirm to distract herself from the feeling of worms crawling throughout herself. When she looked to her severed wrist, she was shocked to see a fully formed hand comprised entirely of blood, the same kind of blood that Anateya had covered her body in before the fight. Not only that, but a strange filter washed over her entire vision, as she would eventually find out that her eyes had gone entirely red, some of the crimson streaming down her cheeks like tears.

Character Closure RP - Page 11 Empty Re: Character Closure RP

Taeyrn watches as the battle begins--far before he was ever ready. He looks about and watches as the Witch beelines for Nymeria with incredible speed. He pales, expecting his comrade to be instantly splattered into the ground, but the Guardian reacts much more quickly.

With a swift movement from his arm, a forceful blast went straight into the witch's body and she was knocked backwards into the air. She landed with such force in the distance that it was as if a small explosion occurred, the ground shaking in result of the Guardian's rage.

He doesn't really get a chance to continue watching, though. One of the enemies facing them has apparently chosen him during his watchful distractions. He suddenly realizes that he's being circled by a tall, muscular man with long brown hair that is pulled back into a ponytail. Dressed in pale clothing and odd, wooden shoes, the man's entire left arm and shoulder is covered in a black tattoo.

The man's also carrying an Oudachi, something like out of a book or a fairy tail. Of course, the weapons are known, but so rarely used. It takes a lot of skill...Taeyrn watches the man circle him and then turns with him, so as to keep their eyes locked on each other as he taps his chest and back instantly, just in case. This man may just be all physical in a fight, but one can never be sure.

Then, Tae pulls out his Katana, readying himself in a strike position. The tall man smiles, clearly pleased at his reaction. Taeyrn wonders if this was the wisest of decisions that he could have made. Too late to ponder it, now--the man is moving forward with his giant blade and Taeyrn has little time to plan his defense.

The large man brings up the blade and swings it down upon him--and due to his larger reach, Taeyrn isn't yet within striking distance of his foe. However, the weapon is big and heave, so the strike is slow. Using balanced and focused footing, Tae moves to the right and the blade misses as Tae slowly tries to gain in on his enemy.

And for about five minutes, this essentially goes on, that Taeyrn dodges (though several times, just narrowly) the strikes that are swung his way. The man's footing is also rather skillful, because he keeps out of the range of Taeyrn's blade entire. Tae has yet to even be able to strike at anything--not even his arms. It's getting frustrating.

Finally, the man backs away and Taeyrn lets him. Then, places his hands together, mumbling under his breath as a glowing symbol appears on his left palm. He's so happy he collected this charge earlier. It'll make things get started, at least. He looks up, ready to fire his own charge when he realizes that the man also has a glowing symbol, just under his feet and upon the ground.

With wide eyes, he looks upon the pale blue, spinning pattern with surprise. He hadn't expected someone to have symbols, like him. It was already odd enough that they had similar weapons...and his enemy seems equally surprised to see his symbol. Good. That means he doesn't know what's coming.

The enemy stands as the man speaks one word: "Gemini." The symbol from under his feet disperses as his giant blade begins to glow, instead. Tae can feel the dread fill his stomach as he releases Geneva's charge into his enemey--a flail of water bullets released at high speed with piercing damage.

The man wasn't ready, and so he fails to dodge--but he does cover his face with his arm and keeps his sword before him in defense--it prevents Taeyrn from charging at him like he had hoped to do during the attack. Cursing himself on the inside, he grits his teeth as this "Gemini" caster corrects his stance, now bleeding.

With a slow approach, Taeyrn simply readies himself to dodge once more. The guy is still slow, so that won't change...but he has to find a way to get close to this guy or they will just be playing an endurance game, which won't be fun. How does this guy keep retreating so damn fast?

His mind scatters as he dodges again--but something different happens, this time. As the blade falls down next to him, Gemini continues his blade's downward strike until it strikes the surface of the ground with incredible force. As it hits the earth, the blade glows brilliantly of the color of his symbol, the pattern reflecting off of the blade for just a moment before a wave of energy emanates outwards from it in all directions with the shape of a circle.

The blue and white force of energy pushes Taeyrn back and he is thrown onto the ground as splitting pain wracks into his knees. He drops his blade and for a moment, he expects the man to attack before he can stand. Keeping alert and defensive, he finally realizes that Gemini's blade is stuck in the ground.

Pulling himself back up to his feet, Taeyrn looks at Gemini with new determination as he struggles to pull his blade from the Earth. Now is his chance. He bends down, picks up his blade, and charges at his enemy with the intent to maim--but never to kill. He isn't a murderer. However, if this guy gets his arms or something chopped off, that's not Tae's problem.

[ATTN: All, Taeyrn]

Asher drew up near Taeyrn as the battle began, sticking close by him and watching their comrades around them engage in combat. He nocked an arrow as he watched a ponytailed man sizing up Taeyrn, and Asher took a step back to give himself space to draw, as both Taeyrn and the man drew their swords.

The two charged at each other, and Asher drew back his bow to fire. He just started to release his arrow when a force slammed into him from the side, sending him flying away from Taeyrn and his opponent. Asher hit the ground hard, rolling a few more feet away. His bow and arrow had both dropped from his hands with the impact, and as he looked up, he could see them a few meters to his right...

A man stepped over his bow, slamming his staff into the ground as he stood between Asher and his weapon. Asher scrambled to his feet, backing away as he looked at the man facing him. He was tall, shirtless, his mottled grey skin riddled with scars, especially across his face. His nose was so flat it almost wasn't there, just two nostrils near his mouth, and his eyes glowed violet. It was the same violet color as the gems embedded in his left arm, from the shoulder all the way down to the hand, and the same color as the ball of energy he now cradled in his hand.

"Two on one? That's hardly fair," the man said, his voice high and hissing.

Asher reached down and pulled his short sword out from its sheath. "You know, I don't really think you care," he replied. Everything hurt after that hit he took. From the man's attire - shirtless with a long skirt, it looked like - he was probably a pure caster. Just the kind of people he hated.

The man grinned. "Oh no, I like a fair fight," he said, kicking Asher's bow aside. "I want you to think you have a chance."

Asher snorted, and the caster hurled the energy ball in his hand at Asher. Asher ducked, throwing up a wall in front of him, and the energy blast hit his earthen shield hard enough that dirt went flying away from it. Asher's face went blank a moment, his mouth slightly open - aw shit - before he had to duck under another blast again.

Shit. That first hit he took wasn't half as strong as the ones being thrown at him now. Asher could only run about, throwing up walls he wasn't even sure would hold against his attacks as the energy balls hit them like sledgehammers. He got one look at the guy as he peeked out from behind one of his walls - the bastard was grinning like a lunatic, and Asher had to duck back and hide again as he threw an energy ball at his face.

If he had his bow, he could fight this kind of battle, hitting him back from a range - but no, he had to close in, before he ran out of energy entirely.

Asher took a flying leap out from his cover and hit the ground in a roll, slapping the earth and throwing up a wall between him and Feor as he rolled. Asher emerged from behind his shelter, and as he turned his gaze on Feor the earth shot up undernearth his left foot. Feor clearly wasn't expecting it - he flailed as he tumbled backwards, and Asher sprinted for him as he fell. He swung down on his falled opponent, but Feor managed to put his staff in the way, and Asher's sword clanged off of metal. Feor grabbed his sword arm with gem-encrusted hand, and a searing heat spread from his hand into Asher's arm. Asher reached down for his hatchet with his free hand and slammed it hard into his opponent's gut.

The man groaned, and his grip loosened enough for Asher to pull away. Asher yanked his hatchet back out and spun his sword around to slam the point into the man's throat, but before he could finish him he was thrown back by a concussive blast Feor released from his hand.

Asher hit the ground but was on his feet again immediately, a grin spreading across his face. His arm hurt like hell, but as Feor stood up it was clear he was hurting much more. Blood dripped down from the hole in his stomach, and Feor leaned heavily on his staff as he stood. He could do this.

Feor threw another blast at Asher, but this time Asher was the aggressor, shifting the ground beneath the caster's feet as he dodged his attacks and forcing the man to stay on his toes to keep from being thrown off balance again. All Asher needed was one more golden opportunity...

Wailele got Geneva’s attention just in time as she dodges a hit from the mage. It was close enough for her to feel the heat coming from it. She quickly dodges with a blast of water, knocking her back, but not really hurting her.

“Do you really think you can beat me with simple water blasts? I am Anateya of Lust, a champion for Elenora.” Her opponent coos.

Geneva narrows her eyes. In a way she is right, all she has is her water powers and the power of Wailele. She does not want to use her until later though. “What are you afraid of being beaten by a simple child?” She will not let Lust know that she is afraid. Let the witch underestimate her.

“Brave words coming from a little girl. We shall see how you back them up.” Lust charges in with her rod again.

Geneva dodges left, then right avoiding her swipes. She backs up to get some room between herself and Lust. She manages to get some water attacks in, slicing Lust’s exposed skin. She puts her hands up preparing another attack when she is struck by Lust’s rod.

As soon as it touches her skin, Geneva feels a mixture of heat and shock coursing throughout her body. She cannot move, paralyzed by the shock. She can barely even breathe. Her eyes see Lust smirking at her, enjoying Geneva’s condition. Lust takes her time before advancing on Geneva again.

Wailele tries to wake Geneva out of the spell as Lust is posturing. Geneva cannot feel the little lion’s attempt to touch her. The heat is pleasant at least, but she is still unable to move. Wailele gets worried seeing Lust approach. She quickly changes into the guns and places herself onto Geneva’s hands. Using the impulses, Wailele manages to fire in the nick of time.

[Attn: Open]

It all happened fast, but then it was on. Drios charged forward for an enemy to fight, but couldn't really see anyone around in the fray. Gosalyn had been charged by a sword-wielding woman almost immediately.

"Hola, gringo."

He leapt forward and that was all that saved him from a slash that tore his clothing, but missed his flesh. he turned to regard what looked like a human dog--as in, a humanoid body, fur covered, with the head of a dog. He had tribal tattoos all over his body and wore ornamental jewelry. His lithe and lean form marked him a warrior, and Drios could only assume the gear was marking of a warrior. The dog man watched him with calm eyes.

Drios growled and his eyes glowed. "Do you always attack your enemy in the back?" he sneered. "Not very sporting."

The dog man raised an eyebrow. "I hope you do not mean to imply there is a such thing as a 'fair fight,' amigo," he said with amusement. "Besides, that was merely my hello. If you hadn't been able to avoid it, you wouldn't have been worthy. So glad you were."

"Considering I'd have had a nasty cut," Drios said with an angry grin, "so am I."

"Oh no, amigo," the man said, "you'd have been dead."

"Don't flatter yourself."

"Cocky. I like it. It is how monsters such as you and I should be."

"I am no monster, dog man," Drios roared. "I am a gargoyle!"

"Such fierce pride. I meant no offense, I simply meant 'not human.' And I am no 'dog man,' I am an Anbu. You may call me Rax."

"Drios, asshole."

"Excellent!" the dog--er, Anbu--said as he charged Drios. "Let us see who's the greater monster!"

A flash of light and the sound of sliding metal had been her only warning as she deftly dodged the blade that shot out at her. She immediately retaliated by lashing at her assailant with he tail, only for them to nimbly leap away.

"Ooh! Very nice!" came the girl in a sweetly feminine voice. "I knew you were strong when I saw you!"

It was a young girl dressed in silver and black with glowing red coattails wielding a gleaming sword. She knew magic when she saw it. The girl was either late teens or early twenties, with a sweet, beautiful face that matched the voice.

"You in the right place, princess?" Gosalyn snapped. "There aren't any princes to kiss around here!"

Her face took on a dark expression--maybe she wasn't so sweet, after all. "I get so tired of hearing that," she said with bitterness. "Ha ha. Aren't you the clever one, lizard girl."

Gosalyn's eye twitched. "That's my line, bitch. My blood flows with dragons!" she thundered. "Show some g*ddamn respect!"

"And I am a warrior, dragon whore!" she declared in return. "Before this day is out, my blade shall taste your blood and you shall fear the name of Mithra!"

Gosalyn rolled her eyes and pulled out her golden hilt, a blade of light forming. "Blah blah blah," she returned. "You're not the first human to make that boast. Come and get it."

Elenora's body twists into a black tar, melting down into a thick upon the puddle as she is thrown into the ground by the Guardian with a swift punch from his hand. From the tar, spiders, scorptions, and centipedes all pour forth, hordes of them in varied sizes from small to large.

The Guardian seems unfazed, his hands lighting up with a white light as he punches the ground. A wave of white energy emanates from without, sending the creatures flying far from him. He looks about, looking for Elenora's main form. She seems to be hidden, at first, but then he realizes that she's after Nymeria again.

With a swift movement, he runs towards the girl's direction, seeing her battle has already begun with another. With an alert eye, he watches, getting closer and holding ready to pounce from a crouch. Surely enough, the witch is in the air far above, launching down in an orb of black miasma and fire.

He leaps into the air, his hands moving up above his head as a small orb forms between them in the hue of green. It grows in size as he charges it, and as it just begins to get too close for his comfort to the witch's target, he hurls it at the cloud.

Upon impact with his magical attack, Elenora's fire shifts into her body as she shrieks in pain. Tossed away, she is thrust into a cliff side and rock and earth shatter with a deep, rolling thud. The ground vibrates from the explosive landing and the Guardian takes that opportunity to fire at the stupid gnome that Celsetta is battling--she wasn't doing to well at the moment. In fact, Celsetta looks quite tired...but it doesn't help that her species is weak against fire and the gnome is using a fire blade.

A small purple ray blasts from his palm as he holds it out and it strikes the gnome creature in the back, knocking him forward and onto the ground before Celsetta's prone form. With a smile, she takes that moment to stand back up and the Guardian smiles, too. Then, he returns his focus to the witch.

Wailele’s attack hits true and Lust is thrown back. Her eyes narrow as she gets to her knees. “A fire attack I was not expecting.” Her pants. A smirk shows on her face. As she dies a red cloud spreads from her body. It will hit anyone who is near Geneva.

Geneva slowly sits up. “Thank you Wailele, we should see if the others need help. Wow I don’t like being paralyzed. It is not fun.”

(OCC: The attack is the same that hit Geneva earlier. Although it is more of a subtle one.)

[ATTN: All]

Feor was getting more and more aggressive and reckless, even as Asher tried to press his offensive, and he was forced to back off. Already however, Feor's mottled grey skin was starting to pale from blood loss. The longer this fight took, the worse it was for Feor - so the mage was pulling out everything he had, launching blasts at Asher in rapid succession.

Asher was starting to get tired too - he had to keep reinforcing his defensive walls with every hit, and he wasn't used to using his Force this much. He didn't think he could last much longer himself...

He was going to have to get reckless himself. Asher took a breath to prepare himself, waiting for a break in his attacks. When it came, he was ready: Asher dropped his defenses and hurled his hatchet at Feor. Feor blocked it with a swing of his staff, but Asher was right behind it, rushing him with his sword. He tried to use the last of his force to shift the ground beneath Feor's feet but overcompensated - a wall burst up behind the man just under his heels and towered behind him. Still, it did it's job, and Feor tumbled forward into Asher's blade.

Feor's eyes narrowed, his mouth twisting into a vicious smile, and he stepped forward, driving Asher's sword deeper through him. He grabbed Asher and pulled him into a bear hug, his gem-encrusted hand scorching hot against his back. Asher swore and let go of his sword, fighting to get away from the heat - and finally Feor arms went limp and Asher broke free. Feor fell forward, finally dead, and Asher swore with pain - his back felt like it had been roasted like a steak.

He kicked the body over and retrieved his sword, looking around at the battle. Geneva had finished her opponent, but he'd lost track of Taeyrn. Shit. He needed to go find him.
