Name: Henry William Barker II

Age: 30

Skills/Abilities: Skilled writer and fencer, accountant, decent brawler. Knows how to fly an airship and is very skilled with knots.

Magic (if any): Exorcism magic – is able to mentally link with possession victims and free them of their possession. Able to see auras as a part of this.

Backstory: Barker was born into a fairly well off family and raised as a gentleman. His life was idyllic up until he turned 17, when his father’s debts finally caught up with him and his family lost the majority of their wealth and their honor.

Disgusted by his father and the gambling and drinking habits that ruined their family, Henry left from home and, itching for adventure, he an airman on an airship. He stayed there for eight years, becoming a petty officer (sergeant), and by the time he was twenty five he’d seen enough people die that he had more than enough of ‘adventure’ – so when he left from the service he was content with going back to the city and working as a barman.

He was 28 before he started to feel that something was off – a presence seemed to crawl at the back of his skull, and he started straight up blacking out and waking up in new places, forgetting whole days at a time. Something was using his body, he realized – something horribly evil. He locked himself in his house and tied himself to his bed, and for three days he fought to force the presence from his mind.

When he finally succeeded, he found he was changed. He noticed the auras of people out in the street, and over some of them a black shadow hung – a sign of their own possession by some demon. Finally, he was forced to believe in the existence of the demons that mages spoke of, and so he taught himself how to use his new power, finding he was able to link minds with others and help free them of their possession.

He was eventually branded as a mage sympathizer, and was driven out of his city with nothing but his pistol and his old military sword to his name.

Name: Hailey Valentine

Skills/Abilities: She is skilled in multiple different weapons and is able to switch between them quite easily, cooking, survival, drawing and gathering information.

Magic: Hailey has a special type of magic, her imagination is like her very own drawing board. When she draws in her mind, it becomes reality temporarily. Her creations can be not bigger than, example, a single size bed, and she may only have up to one creation at a time other than small creations, like daggers for example, than she may have up to two. She can only re create something different after breaking her current one.

Weapons: Hailey always has a hunting knife on her, just in case.

Backstory: Haily was born in a family of Mage demon hunters. Her family lived in seclusion of any city and hunted on their own. They had no empathy for the possessed though, they would not try to save the possessed human, they would just slay them as well as the demon.

Basically they lived of survival and were nomads, thus Hailey never really had any friends. Until one day that is, she met one guy named Alphonse and became really close, until the unfortunate incident, he was possessed by quite the powerful demon and Hailey's family forced her to kill him, knowing nothing else than demon hunting, she proceeded with the task.

However, Hailey was never the same after that day. She could not bear her family's methods, she did not want to kill any human and make some one else suffer the loss of some one close as she did with Alphonse. So she left her family behind and hasn't seen them since, she joined the exorcists to purge humans of demons and killing only these evil beings Insted of slaughtering the humans at the same time..

Working with the exorcists tought her a few chants and tricks with holy water and such to try and get the demon to leave is host out of frustration and irritation. So since then she went to hunting on her own, finding it more efficient.

skills: he is a master in unarmed close combat. He has mechanicle arms thanks to his guild Albatros. (Mage hunter guild) his arms give him strength that is well above human level. He is also quite fast for his size.

Magic: nope he be human and a Mage hater.

Weapons: he has brass knuckles that generate electricity.

Backstory: like hell I would spoil that.

Name: Jacqueline Hanson, "Bloody Jack"

Backstory: Surprisingly, a female pirate Captain. She passed as a boy during her youth until gaining the respect and the position to prevent unwanted advances from other crew members. She still acts more mannish than anything. Has a bit of a history with Henry.

Name: Helena Volkov

Short, her face and complexion are mostly pale and fair, but is prone to occasional blemishes and sunspots due to lack of care. Her arms are long, with most of the lank coming from her forearms. Her hands possess the rugged, calloused quality one would expect of a machinist or someone who works with their hands; with cracked, jagged fingernails that are obviously in want of care which they never receive. Her legs make up most of her height. Her hair is a dark shade of brown and is prone to ‘puffing’ when exposed to wind or excess heat.

Skills/Abilities: Proficient in hand to hand combat and skilled with a sword. As with all members of the military she is capable with guns, ropes, and a manner of weapons. Somewhat capable of flying an airship.

Magic: None to speak of.

Weapons: Army issued cutlass and twin pistols.

Backstory: Helen was born into a family of richer standing, which until then had possessed several brothers. Being the first girl born into the family, she was expected to be a picture of sweetness and gentle feminity; which she was, until seven years of age. She was overcome with sickness, one which most thought would kill her. Until one of the servants brought her daughter in. She claimed that her daughter was magic and could cure the girl. The father cried madness and witchcraft and ordered both the servant and her daughter to be imprisoned. But the mother stepped in, begging them to help their daughter. The girl did, and Helen survived, later forming a friendship with the girl who had saved her life. Her name had turned out to be Jaxx, born on the lower side of town. They became extremely close over the years, laughing, playing, and exploring the outside world together. In thanks for saving his daughter, her father ordered the entire house to keep her identity a secret. So for years this went on, with Helen slowly abandoning her girlish activities and dispositions to pursue more boyish hobbies. Her father let this carry on, until Helen gave rise to a preposterous notion.
She wished to join the military.
Her father was outraged; he ordered Jaxx and her mother out of the castle and placed Helen under house arrest, forbidding her from leaving her room. Helen was furious, she made plans to leave with Jaxx and join the military. So later that night, she snuck out through her window, down thr drainpipe and met up with her friend a few blocks away. The plan had gone off without a hitch- or so it seemed for a moment. The two were attacked- by a demon who had noticed Jaxx’s presence. Now, Jaxx, having rarely used her magic and never been faced with such a situation, was quickly overcome- whilst Helen sat by, blind to the demon and horrified that she couldn’t fight and help her friend. When Helen finally came to- she was in the middle of what seemed to be a train wreck, in horrible, burning pain, with gashes riddling her back- and worse yet, Jaxx was gone. Her father found her, and seemed about ready to make it so that she would never see the light of day again- but her mother convinced him to ‘allow’ her ‘hero complex’ until she grew out of it; buying her a crew that never took her seriously and a ship, as well as bribing an official to keep her out of harm’s way and on a tight leash. Now she spends her days being viewed as a raving lunatic by the masses, speaking of demons, and mages; and a snooty little princess by her ‘men’. To this day she still looks for a way to find her friend, Jaxx, and earn the respect of her parents and the public.

Skills/Abilities: Proficient with many weapons, favoring axes and long-swords.

Weapons: Army issued pistol and sword; as well as an ax brought along from his personal collection.

Backstory: Kropp was raised in a wealthy family, being the middle child of three sons. He was forced to compete with his siblings for the families respect, but it was never particularly hostile. Upon his decision to join the military, his mother insisted he take a position as a commissioned officer, rather than an actual soldier climbing the ranks. So, his mother let him join. Now, Kropp realized how unlike his mother this was. So when she placed him in a private sector *paid very handsomely, might he add* Kropp wasn't surprised. What did surprise him, however, was the fact that the commander of the squad was a woman; a girl. Now, as any man of the time would, he reacted at first with indignant protests, refusing to work under a female. Until, he actually began to feel sorry for the girl. He found she came from a house that expected her to give up her fire and passion to live a life of making cakes and babies. So, after talking to her and attempting to befriend her; she revealed herself to be a perfectly likable; if not extremely bossy individual. The two of them quickly became close friends, Kropp becoming her close adviser and trusted friend; as well as one of the only people to truly care about her well-being, and the only one under her to actually respect her orders and do what she said.

Magic (if any): True sight: Victor can see two steps ahead of his targets next moves allowing him to counter everything with ease. (Meaning he basically activates it on his opponent and he see's what his opponent will be doing for his next two actions)

(can only keep active for a short duration.)

Skills: close combat, gathering or cutting up materials or pretty much anything, surprisingly good social skills, good with animals.

Magic: Energy saw: generate an energy saw around any part of her body shredding pretty much anything a part. Chaos form: Penny envelopes her body in her magic making all of her surfaces razor sharp. (Becomes totally bright red when this active and her magic is also bright red, can only maintain chaos for for a short period)

Backstory: same, haileys sister.

Name: Unknown, called 'the broker' by Henry

Appearance: Last seen as a tall, lithe man in a suit and tophat.

Skills/Abilities: Is a powerful demon with the ability to make his aura appear weaker than it is. How he does this is unknown.

Backstory: Little known. Appears to be a powerful demon who serves as an information broker for both demons and humans alike, whoever has the coin to pay.

Skills/Abilities: Very good at shooting and brawling, and is an exceptional navigator. Has a high alcohol tolerance and a good card player. Excellent eyesight.

Weapons: Steam pistols and rifle, several long knives.

Backstory: Under their old captain, he was Jack's closest mate; after she led a mutiny and took over the Nausicaa, she was quick to call him her first mate. Highly loyal. Knows Henry.

Name: Nathaniel Trebaun, 'Doc'

Age: 29

Gender: Male

Appearance: Tall and lanky, with a farmers tan as he is one of the few aboard the ship who still insists on wearing a dark, long-sleeved shirt, largely because he spends more time below deck than most. His hair is a dark brown and his eyes pale green behind his glasses.

Skills/Abilities: Knows first aid and can perform basic surgery. Familiar with anatomy. Good shot with a pistol.

Magic (if any): N/A

Weapons: Steam pistol and a short hand axe. He also has a saw he uses for amputation or as a weapon when caught off guard.

Backstory: He's not exactly a trained doctor, but his parents were, and so they taught him some medical knowledge before he ran away to become a pirate. He was made the official medic by the captain before Jack, and he is familiar with Henry.

Name: Darast Pelagree. He's been trying to get the nickname "Dynamite Darast" to catch on, but it hasn't been working. He's more commonly called "Boomy" if anything.

Age: 26

Gender: Male

Appearance: He's decently toned and stands at 5'9", and wears loose pants and fingerless gloves, occasionally a shirt. Always has his goggles on him, an especially nice pair with several added features. His hair is buzzed and blonde.

Skills/Abilities: He's the ships resident heavy weapons and explosives expert, able to maintain the ships guns as well as create a number of varied handheld explosives of his own. He's got a surprisingly good voice.

Magic (if any): N/A

Weapons: Lots and lots of bombs. He also has a steam pistol and a knife when he runs out of bombs, but he shouldn't be running out of bombs any time soon.

Backstory: Darast doesn't bring up much about his childhood - he was picked up from the Atalanta, the pirate ship of one of Jack's old rivals. When Jack's ship took over the Atalanta, Darast was one of the crew who surrendered, and while on board and in the brig nearly blew a hole in the wall out of the brig with a compound he snuck in. Jack was quick to invite him on the crew, and by now has secured his loyalty. Mostly.

Gender: Male

Appearance: He is tall and lean, with naturally darker skin and eyes. He is almost completely bald - he chose to shave his head.

Skills/Abilities: An excellent navigator and ex-sailor, much of his skill on a ship was plenty useful as well on an airship. He's a brutal and efficient hand to hand fighter, and is skilled with a short sword.

Magic (if any): N/A

Weapons: Short sword and several knives.

Backstory: The Nausicaa has traveled many places in her time - one of them, Adi's homeland, had a custom that turned any and all prisoners of war into slaves. Adi was one of these - his nation was heavily divided, and as a young soldier his ship was overtaken and enslaved. When the Nausicaa docked in his port, he sneaked aboard as a stowaway, but his sailing experience ensured his place onboard. He's currently most often at the helm of the Nausicaa.

Skills/Abilities: Very skilled with multiple firearms/bow/swords, weapon engineer, exorcist. 

Magic (if any): Magic Storage: Robin has the ability to store what ever she pleases in a magical/invisible vault, almost as if the vault it self was not of this dimension. She may also take something from the storage when she pleases, it also has the effect of keeping what ever she has in her storage registered in her head, so she never loses track.

Weapons: (All steam powered) Rifle, shotgun, dual pistols, sniper, steam powered bow (accelerates the speed at which the arrow is shot.) she also has various types of ammo.

She also has different types of grenades, varying from smoke to shrapnel. 

And finally a sword which the hilt is also a pistol, and the sheath has a trigger which shoots out the sword when triggered, allowing an impressive quick draw.

Backstory: Will be revealed in game.

Additional info: Robin shares her body with a demon, since they formed a pack, but Robin is in control of when she lets the demon take control, which mostly never happens, the demon is mostly used as a form of exorcism. He rushes into an already possessed human, attempting to kick the other demon out with the help of Robin, who is performing an exorcism from the outside. They have mental link up at all times, which is a downside in Robin's opinion, since her thoughts are no longer her own, but an advantage in the demons, since it amuses him.

Skills/abilities: He basically gains the abilities of his host. He is capable of staying in his own form in the human world for about only five minutes, so he always stays in robin or another host. (Teddy bear! XD)

Name: Lieutenant Klaus Seiver

Skills/Abilities: Excellent with people and a natural leader, Klaus was also skilled in swordsmanship and a good shot with a rifle, though his close combat was somewhat lacking. Good at navigation and organization.

Magic (if any): None

Weapons: Standard issue officer's sword and a pistol.

Backstory: Klaus' father was an old politician and banker, Johannes Viedleschmicht; his mother was one of Viedleschmicht's maids, Patricia Seiver. When the man's maid became pregnant with his bastard, Viedleschmicht nearly threw the maid and her son out of his house - but his fondness for Patricia stayed his hand, in spite of his wife's urgings and he agreed to allow the boy to be raised in his house and to be given an education, so long as Patricia herself left the house and never came back. Concerned for her sons future, Patricia reluctantly agreed to the deal, and thus young Klaus the bastard was raised in the Viedleschmicht household alongside Viedleschmicht's legitimate children.

Viedleschmicht's offspring never really let Klaus be one of them, and even Viedleschmicht started to regret his decision, after his reputation took a long hit. But after the boy had been educated, Viedleschmicht did him one last favor by sending him to officer school for the airforce. Klaus, sixteen at the time, was told he wasn't to come back, and the young midshipman moved out to live at the military academy.

When he finally finished training and went into the force, he found himself onboard the same ship as Henry Barker, an enlisted man only two years older than him. The two found a connection with each other they missed with others - the bastard felt alienated from his fellow high-born officers, and the airman could never quite find a place among the other enlisted men.

While different assignments did separate the two at times, they somehow never ended up apart for long, until the day Klaus died in combat at 23.
