St PigeoNation's Roleplay

First topic message reminder :
A new semester had begun at St. Pigeonation's Institution. It was only the second day of school and already it was becoming apparent that some things would never change.
"Coooooo! Coo! Coo! (This is not pudding! Okosan came in here for one purpose, and that purpose was pudding!)" Okosan used his WING ATTACK on the pudding he'd been served. It fell to the floor, at which point Okosan began to stomp on it while cooing vehemently.
Kazuaki had been attempting to grade tests over lunch, but both the test papers and his meal were thoroughly forgotten as he dozed. His nap soon came to an abrupt end when a serving of pudding bounced off his head. He snapped awake, rubbing his head, and looked around for the source. Not surprisingly, Okosan was throwing plates around and making a general ruckus.
"Okosan, that's enough," he said through a yawn, but he went unheard. Okosan stormed over to the other side of the cafeteria, at which point sleep took over again.
Shuu entered the cafeteria. He couldn't remember the last time he'd eaten, although he assumed it was more recently than he had last slept. More importantly, it had been a while since he had observed the students. The first thing he saw was a fantail pigeon going on a rampage. He recognized that pigeon as Okosan, the captain of the track team. He was faster than the average bird and worth keeping an eye on. Shuu remained near the doorway and observed Okosan as he continued to throw things around, intrigued.

Kazuaki arrived just as the morning bell rang. He set the bundle of homework on his desk and smiled at his students. "Good morning, everybirdie," he said. "I graded your homework so you... can see... what you... need to focus on..." he yawned. "...This year..."
With that, he was out like a light.
Shuu grinned when he saw Anghel trying to sneak a peek into the infirmary. He opened the door, allowing the other entrance. "Good morning, Mister Higure. Do you have time to stay?" He shut the door, indicating that the question was rhetorical. "I just need to perform a... routine physical." He chuckled, preparing a syringe. He wanted to see, first of all, if Anghel's ability could be nullified. It would be convenient if he was controllable to that extent.
He approached Anghel with the syringe. "Now hold still."
With that, he was out like a light.

Anghel jumped backward at first when Wallenstein opened the door and greeted him. The Dark Sorcerer had to be up to something, he just knew it. However, he couldn't give up this chance and passed through the Gate.
"Dark Sorcerer, you hath invited thine doom!" he yelled as he pulled out Saekro'm.
Wallenstein was preparing his own weapon as well. As he approached Anghel with it, Anghel held out his own weapon in response. "I will not do as you say, Evil One! Now we fight!"
He dashed past Wallenstein and jumped onto the nearby bed. He pointed the Holy Spear at the Sorcerer menacingly.
Ryouta could feel Sakuya staring in his and Hiyoko's direction. That guy was definitely going to be nothing but trouble. Just thinking about it made him feel worse than he already did.

Sakuya sighed as Nanaki fell asleep mid-sentence. "Honestly? Is this seriously the most prestigious high school in the world? This must be some kind of joke!"
Yuuya continued to amble down the hall, approaching the infirmary. He figured it couldn't hurt to stop in and see what the doctor was up to. However, as he came near, he heard some insane yelling. Yuuya stopped in front of the door, hesitating for a moment before knocking on it. He knew about Shuu's reputation and cringed as he thought about what must have been happening in there.
Yuuya continued to amble down the hall, approaching the infirmary. He figured it couldn't hurt to stop in and see what the doctor was up to. However, as he came near, he heard some insane yelling. Kazuaki continued to sleep, slipping from his standing position until he was slouched over the desk.
He awoke when Sakuya freaked out. He blinked. "I'm sorry. Err... would anybirdie like to volunteer to hand the homework back?" He figured he should start writing the lesson on the board now, while he was still awake.
Shuu watched as Anghel freaked out. Apparently, his hallucinations were extremely vivid and controlled every aspect of his behaviour. He jotted down a note stating that, in his default state, Anghel had no perception of reality. "We are not going to fight, Mr. Higure; I am simply going to administer this... vaccine. We wouldn't want you to catch something." He took a step closer, stopping as he heard a knock on the door. He sighed, turning to open it. If it wasn't important, he would be extremely unhappy.
Yuuya was on the other side of the door and Shuu smiled at him. He could use a hand with Anghel right about now. "I have a job for you," he said, not even bothering to greet his assistant. "Keep him still while I vaccinate him. It would appear that they do not keep up with their vaccinations in the Phillippines."

Yuuya peered into the infirmary past the doctor and saw the bewildered Luzon. "Ah, it seems you have quite the situation," he said, stepping into the room and turning his attention to the agitated bird. "Hey now, settle down. He's not trying to hurt you, I swear." Yuuya used a friendly tone as he approached the Luzon.

Anghel stayed right where he was on the bed, not believing a word Wallenstein said. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door, and an unfamiliar bird appeared. This one did not seem to know the Dark Sorcerer's intentions and sided with him erroneously.
"Do not believe what the Evil One says! He wishes to plunge the entire school into darkness!" Anghel told Yuuya.
"I can hand the homework back, sir," Hiyoko offered as she stood up.
She went and grabbed the stack of papers on the desk, then started to go around and pass them to their owners. When she got to Sakuya, she shot him a look, then passed him back his paper and continued on.
Ryouta just shook his head. What was he going to do with those two?

Shuu sighed. Anghel was certainly strong willed. The fact that he was so deeply consumed by his own hallucinations was fascinating. He had heard that others could become affected by Anghel as well, though he was not feeling any effects as of yet.
As Anghel ranted at Yuuya, Shuu simply glanced at his assistant. "As I'm sure you've gathered, this is the transfer student I mentioned." He then looked at Anghel. "You are being quite ridiculous, Mr. Higure." He held up the syringe again and took a step closer. "This will only take a second if you cooperate."

Sakuya glared at Hiyoko as he snatched his paper from her. He looked it over and saw that he had done everything correctly, as expected. The work hadn't been challenging at all.
Yuuya listened to what Anghel had to say, and then nodded when Shuu mentioned that the Luzon was the transfer student. "He's going to plunge the school into darkness, you say? Well, that doesn't sound good," he glanced at the pen that the bird was holding out like some sort of weapon. "But maybe now's not the time to confront him. Perhaps you should take this opportunity to observe your opponent, hmm?" Yuuya began to gently lower the wing that was holding the pen.

Anghel pulled his wing away from Yuuya and kept it down at his side, but he was still clearly on edge.
"It is too late to observe! I am already inside his Den of Evil!" he said. "Do you not see that he is trying to use his Evil Magic on me? Would you have him cast some sort of villainous curse on me? I must strike him down!"

Shuu ignored Anghel's ranting, opting to let Yuuya deal with it. He was a physician, not a psychologist. Anghel's wing was down at his side now, so Shuu would be able to administer his drug. While Anghel was ranting, Shuu snuck over to him, stuck the needle into his wing and injected the substance. He stepped back; if the drug was successful, its effects would kick in approximately eight seconds. Given Anghel's nature, it would be pretty obvious if his ability was neutralized.

Anghel knew he had been had as soon as he felt the prick in his arm. He started to turn toward Wallenstein furiously, but suddenly his mind became fuzzy. He sat down on the bed and dropped his pen.
"You won't get away with this," he said to Wallenstein, though it was half-hearted.

Yuuya just listened to Anghel's rant, waiting for Shuu to make his move. The doctor wasted no time doing so and injected something into the Luzon before Yuuya even saw him coming. Anghel became noticeably more calm shortly after receiving the shot.
"Well, that definitely settled him down," he commented, then looked at Shuu. It seemed like an unusual side-effect for a routine vaccination. "What was that shot for, anyway?"

Shuu watched as Anghel calmed down. However, he still seemed convinced that the doctor was this Wallenstein character. He frowned, jotting down a few notes. Overall, the experiment was a failure. If Anghel couldn't be neutralized, he wouldn't be controllable, especially not by Shuu. He was already so hostile toward the partridge.
He turned toward Yuuya as the fantail spoke. "I need to see if your brother's medical records have arrived yet. Keep an eye on Mr. Higure."
With that, Shuu left the infirmary.

Yuuya watched as Shuu took notes; there was definitely something suspicious going on. The doctor's response to his question was even more unsettling. Shuu obviously had no tolerance at all for prying, and his subtle reminder about his access to Sakuya meant that there was potential for a bad situation to develop. Yuuya knew he would have to keep any snooping as quiet as possible, for Sakuya's sake.
Turning to the luzon, Yuuya wondered exactly what Shuu had been trying to do to him. "Hey, how are you feeling?"

"Agh... he got me," Anghel said. "I shall be all right once this passes."
He wasn't sure what Wallenstein had used on him, but it suddenly made him feel like his task wasn't quite as urgent as he'd once thought. He kind of liked just sitting there and didn't care to take chase to the Dark Sorcerer. This was a powerful spell indeed.

Shuu's trip to the mailroom was not fruitful; Shirogane's records had yet to arrive. This fact was not entirely disappointing, however. It meant that he would have an excuse to give Sakuya a full physical and focus on his areas of interest. He thought there was no reason he couldn't start with that the very next day; he'd given the records enough time to show up.
When he returned to the infirmary, he was smiling.
"How are you feeling, Mr. Higure?"

However, his mind was wandering, unable to completely focus on the evil at hand, and he wondered if it was really that important. But it was, wasn't it?

"I just gave you a vaccine," Shuu explained to Anghel. "There's hardly a need for these theatrics."
He then turned to Yuuya. "Mr. Shirogane's records have yet to arrive," he said. "They've probably been lost in the mail. Could you please inform him that he needs to stop by here for a physical examination tomorrow?"

"Ah, what a shame. Yes, I will do so as soon as possible," he responded with a carefree smile. However, he was actually a bit apprehensive about leaving his little brother at the mercy of Shuu. Judging by the 'routine vaccine' he gave Anghel, Yuuya could only imagine what a physical examination would entail. He made a mental note of showing up at the infirmary early tomorrow and offering his aid.

As the day wore on, the 'curse' that Wallenstein had put on Anghel began to wear off. He knew it was pointless to try to fight the Dark Sorcerer now, clearly he was much too powerful to face at this point. Perhaps he should pay Edel Blau another visit...
He waited until both of the room's occupants had their backs turned, then he dashed to the door and escaped from Wallenstein's hell.
When afternoon came, Ryouta's condition hadn't gotten any better. He grudgingly excused himself from class and made his way to the infirmary. On the way there, he caught sight of a little bird jumping out the window. The Luzon from the cafeteria, maybe?
When he finally made it to the familiar door, he knocked and said, "Doctor, it's me, Ryouta."

Shuu wasn't particularly bothered when Anghel left; the drug was beginning to wear off and he had already collected his data. He needed to conduct further experiments on the Luzon and realized that getting him into the infirmary could possibly prove difficult after the experience he had today. Anghel thought Shuu had cursed him, after all.
As he was pondering the situation, he heard a knock on the door followed by the voice of Ryouta Kawara. He smiled as he opened the door; Ryouta was another one of his unwitting guinea pigs. "What's ailing you today, Mr. Kawara?" he asked, his wing already on the knob of the medicine cabinet.

When the doctor opened the door and smiled, Ryouta returned the smile, though a bit tentatively.
"Um, it's my stomach again," he replied.
He hated always having to come here, but there wasn't any other option. The doctor was the only one who seemed to be able to help him.

Shuu nodded at Ryouta's complaint and removed one of the green bottles from the medicine cabinet. He measured out the dose in a small plastic medicine cup and handed it to Ryouta. "You can lay down after you drink this... and make sure you take the entire dose," he said, closing the cabinet and returning to his desk.

Yuuya watched Anghel leave and was also considering leaving when there was a knock at the door. The doctor opened the door, and from where Yuuya was standing, he could see the smile appear on Shuu's face upon seeing Ryouta. Something about the man's behaviour was unsettling, so Yuuya quickly grabbed a broom and started sweeping. He subtly observed Shuu as he did so.
The contents of the green bottle appeared to be liquid, and the fact that this liquid was unlabelled was a bit suspicious. He had discovered that the expired medications that he had thrown out were all in pill form, though some were rather questionable when compared to their labels. Yuuya continued to sweep as he waited to see Ryouta's reaction to the medication.

Ryouta took the cup and downed the dose like he had done so many times before. It didn't really have much of a taste and wasn't like any other medicine he had taken before, but it most certainly always worked.
He then made his way over to the bed. He hadn't noticed Yuuya before, but he did now and nodded to him. After that he hopped up onto the bed and laid down.
"Thank you again, doctor," Ryouta said.
