Human Adoption Role-Play

Aislynn looks at the gateway, her eyes focused onto the Overworld, thinking of what it must feel like. They say the air is lighter there and that it is easier to breath. They say the the air moves there sometimes, too--and that it is bright and cool.

"Don't get too close." Zir's deep voice speaks as the chain begins to magically shorten, removing any chance of her getting closer to the gateway. "They will be coming through, soon."

Aislynn nods her head, backing away from her curiosity. She looks to her Master from the ground, sighing with sadness. Zir is the gatekeeper and he only keeps the gate open for certain dates and times. He's quite particular and of course, he gets any straying humans that enter illegally for himself, which he likes. He generally sells them on the black market to anyone that wants a few extra, cheap pets.

Her stomach fills with dread as she hears the demon's hooves, the tail whipping from left to right just before it switches its form into that of a human. A young, handsome man, grinning and looking at her quite hungrily. Zir growls. Andre chuckles. "Be calm, Beretlorganzir. I have no intention of taking your pretty little plaything away. I am on my way to get one of my own."

"Good." Zir says, "Get going, with you. They'll be flooding in, soon."

"Why don't you let Ais play around in the Overworld, hmm?" He asks with a shrug of his newly made human shoulders, "She really could use a break--"

"No." Zir cuts in, pointing to the gateway. Aislynn looks pleadingly up at him, her face crestfallen, her posture adorable as can be. This is intentional of course, and Zir probably knows it, but she does not care.

"I'd watch over her for you." Andre adds, "She could help me take my new ward. A human could help the young one...settle. For her services, I'd happily pay--"

"I said no." Zir says his eyes glowing more intensely now, the chain shortening even more. "Get going with you."

Aislynn looks down at her feet as Andre shrugs, looking at her pitifully before exiting through the Gateway and entering the Overworld. She pouts and Zir ignores her. She moves close to his body, her arm wrapping around his knee, just barely curving around the back of it as she leans her head against its side and her face still tilted low with a sad expression.

Ilkar exits the Overwold, entering through the Gateway with kind greetings towards Zir. He is quite charming as he smiles happily with his pet at his side and his arm around her very affectionately. He is in a mostly human form, though some demonic aspects became visible the moment he came through the Gate.

"Illkarteon, we need to have a talk later." Zir says shortly, as a few more demons pour in after him, causing him to have to move over to the side and out of the entrance way. "Just you and I."

"Hmmm, I do believe I have a little time this evening, after a bit of study with my sweet." He looks down at her with adoration as Aislynn waves silently and sadly and then Ilkar chuckles. "After all, I am sure these two lovely ladies could use the girl time."

Indrasilvaynerah and Halaziella Baal'Vonich enter together and Zir growls with fury, cutting his conversation short. Ilkar places his human like hand on Zir's chest just after suddenly becoming amazingly tall. He knows of this tension, for it is an old one. He chuckles again. "It is just one illegal human, Zir. He's not illegal any longer, see? The succubus has already claimed the little man."

Zir speaks more loudly as more demons crowd in from the Overworld. Many other demons still wait to exit the Underworld and enter the realm of the humans, backed away from the traffic. "Alright, alright, clear the way. We have more to come and more to go, so get out of the way, already. Move it."

“Are you sure this is right? She is our daughter after all?” The woman asks her husband as he sets up the materials needed to summon the demon.

“She embarrassed us for the last time Narissa. We try again and again to find a decent man to marry only to have her shoot him down. It is time we wash our hands of her.” The man states as he rubs his wife’s back. “Our son will be the pride of the family now.”

“You are right as usual James. But I don’t want her to be completely his. From the rumors that I read the underworld is not a good place. I must insist she stay in the overworld and only visits the underworld.” Narissa insists helping him to set up the items. “And that her business not suffer. She will need that since she will be on her own.”

“Like I care about her job, all I want is our son to have the life she could have had.” James answered Narissa. “How dare she turn down the son of a Duke? She needs to be taught her place.”

Narissa sighs wishing that Cozette would have listened to them. There is a part of her that doesn’t want to go through this, but she knows James will not stop. Cozette is not his biologically, Narissa is thankful that James took care of her as long as he did. They go ahead and get the ritual started.

Meanwhile Cozette is at her shop working on intricate beading for a wedding dress. The wedding is only just over a month away. A dress like this can bring lots of business to her shop. She curses as a bead falls to the ground. She looks over at the bridesmaid dresses thankful they are simpler. All she needs to do is have the final fitting for them. She finds the bead on the floor and starts to work on it some more. This is a labor of love for Cozette. She loves making beautiful things, and seeing other people wearing the things she made is the best compliment.

Dante follows into the underworld after Ella and the first thing he hears when he walks in is the very noticeable growl of Zir, the big loaf that failed at keeping him out of the underworld since he had come in illegally.

Dante simply grins and gives a smug and cocky look to Zir before turning away and simply ignoring him. He than sighs with boredom as he simply looks around at all the demons coming and going, wasn't there anything exciting going on...

He goes out of all the movement and sits on a rock, takes out one of his knives and plays around with it, throwing it up and catching it or twirling it between his fingers.

Andre is already in the Overworld when he feels the tug of a summons. His lips tilt down in a half-frown as he his eyebrows scrunch up. He pulls out from his pocket a mirror that is about seven inches by seven inches, square with a silver frame, and clearly too big to fit in the pocket it was just drawn from.

He looks into it and finds that his targets are the ones summoning him and chuckles as his half frown becomes an amused smirk. They are easier, cheaper, and even cut down on traveling time. How much better could mortals be?

And so he appears within the summoning circle in their living room, finding once again that the parents are foolish enough not to use a summoning barrier. Excellent. Still, he does not leave the circle--not yet.

"Why, good day." He greets charmingly, "I don't suppose you'd mind me picking up my pet today?"

Ella shakes her head, patting him on the head. "Do not be so cocky. Zir still found you, dragged you, and sold you to me. Lucky that I found you when I did, or he would have killed you for just being as annoying persistent as you are."

She actually likes his attitude towards Zir--most mortals are not stupid. However, this one does not judge a demon by their appearance, a rare habit in that of any mortal to be true.

"I was thinking of visiting a few of the demons that owe me money." She speaks again, "As we do need to collect. I don't suppose you'd mind making a few threats, would you?"

Dante smirks at Ella's words. "Eh, still gave him a run for his money in his own homeworld" he said shrugging with a cocky small laugh.

He than grins as she asks a favor of him, throws his knife up once more and catches it before sheathing it quickly. A mean and cold expression appears on his face before saying "Would I? Don't worry you'll have your money in no time" his grin increasing in size as he pictures what he would do in his head.

He gets up off the rock and stretches his upper body, sighing with relief. "Guide me to them and I'll take care of the rest, ready when you are." he says hitting his fist in his palm with an expression at seemed to be amused.

Narissa jumps as a being enters into the circle. He looks decent enough, but she does not like him referring to Cozette as a pet. She glares at him. "How do you know what is going on? We haven't even told you anything." She pulls on James' arm. "I don't like this, I think we are doing the wrong thing."

James looks at the man in the circle. "Nonsense, you want our son to be the best he can be right? To have an easy life, besides I think it is a little too late for that." He smirks at the man like creature. "You can find her in her shop." He gives the demon the directions.

"Wait, you are going to treat her well aren't you?" Narissa asks him.

Cozette's eyes begin to swim from working on the intricate beadwork. She gets up and begins working on a jacket when the bell on her store rings. She goes up to the counter where a gentleman is with a couple of shirts. "I am missing some buttons on these shirts, can you help me."

Cozette takes the nice silken shirts. They are obviously expensive shirts. "Do you happen to have the buttons that came off?" The man nods and hands her some buttons. She takes them. "I will be right back." She goes to her back room and sews the buttons back on. She also checks the other ones and finds others that were loose. She sews them too.

She goes back to the counter and lays the shirts on them. "Good as new. I also found some other loose ones." She gives him the cost of her services.

The man checks out the shirts. "Thank you very much miss, I could not afford by buy new shirts." He hands her the money and leaves.

Cozette goes back to the jacket she was working on.

Ella pulls him to her, then, without asking or warning, her aura tuning in to jump a line. This always hurts humans, but never more than they can handle. Just a slight burn.

Within an instant, they are before a small, black demon, looking pale, dead, and eyeless. It has only one arm, but it used to have two--the scarred lump of where an arm used to be looking quite irritated with red.

Ella struggles to remember what happened to his other arm--was it her pet? The look of the demon's fear as its eyeless sockets widen and a frown moves upon its so-called lips tells her soon enough. She grins.

"Won't you greet our friend, Dante?" She asks innocently, sitting down in the demon's chair in its own house. Indeed, Ella isn't very good about knocking before entering the homes of others.

Andre chuckles, shaking his head with a mixture of pity and disappointment. His hands go to his hips as he shifts his weight to his right food, his smirk raised on one side of his mouth as he steps a little close to the mortals, his eyes beginning to glow with threat.

"Ah, now I know where your bargaining chip is--and you've practically given her to me without even asking a price. Now, what ever are you going to do to convince me to actually pay for her?"

"I am giving you a human to pretty much as you please with. What else do you demand demon. Oh and be careful what you ask for, we can always find a different demon to deal with if you demand too much." James answers. He expected the demon to want more than just her.

Narissa shakes her head. "James, I don't know if we should be doing this. Does Cozette deserve this?"

James whips around to say something, but stops when his wife cowers. “I am truly sorry it has to be this way, but Cozette has crossed us for the last time. She will now learn what it means to be a slave. What are your demands, demon?”

Dante rubs his head and growls as he is teleported with Ella, it burned every time... Oh well. He shakes his head and gains knowledge of his surroundings. He grins when he realizes where he is, and does even more when he notices the little crippled trembling demon.

"Well well, you again huh, I would have imagined that you would have been smart enough to pay your debt to my lovely master after my last little visit." he says in a dark tone, walking up to him and putting his arm around his shoulders casually, making the demon tremble even more.

Dante closes his eyes, shakes his head slowly and sighs before saying "Guess some never learn no matter what eh?" following up with a wicked chuckle. His dagger slips out fluidly of his sleeve and finds itself slightly digging into the demons neck, only enough to make a small drop of blood roll down the demons neck.

"So mongrel.... Where's the money?" he asks, all traces of playfulness, gone.
