Rigor Mortis Rules & Regulations

1.  You may have only one character at this time, unless otherwise approved by Leah7.
2.  You can have a new character or an older character from an older role-play on GtR.
3.  Your character can have any power, any age, be any race, etc.  Al info is up for grabs and there is no power-balancing.
4.  You are required to have something "Halloween-y" about your character, such as a pumpkin head or cat-like eyes.
5.  Expect the return of Lord Minrai von Chrest...prepare yourselves.
6.  You can enter and leave the role-play at any time.  This means you can enter later with a different or the same character.
7.  Follow the GtR role-play Guidelines.  Or else...
8.  Expect a large part of this role-play to be improvisation.  
9.  You must use the format below in the exact format or your character will not be approved.

Name: Cerberus Styx
Age: 26
Race:Werewolf
Gender:Female
Appearance: is 5’6. Has long blond hair down to the middle of her back. She has amber eyes that have a sparkle to them. She is usually wearing denim jeans and a white blouse. When in Werewolf form: she takes the form of a werewolf that is 6 foot even tall, glowing amber eyes, grey black fur with a mane of fur that's a golden color like her hair.

Hobbies/Skills:writes poetry/songs, likes to paint and sings.
Combat Skills: Is fast, uses stealth, and fights like an animal. She uses claws, fangs and body to fight.
Weapon(s): carries a dirk.
Magical Abilities: Can turn into a werewolf

Personality: Cerberus is a nice girl. She knows what she likes and does what she wants. If you cross her however and you are in the wrong she will make you pay.
Home World: Halloween City
Brief Back Story: Cerberus had left her life years ago to find a place called Halloween City. After the events of Halloween city though, she knew it was time to leave and take her traits that she has learned with her and to travel on.

Race: Human / Infanima (She is unaware of the mix though and thinks she is human)

Gender: Female

Appearance: She is average height with short light brown hair with blonde streaks. She is frailer than most humans. She makes up for it with her agility. Her left eye is royal blue and right is grass green. She also has some inexplicable scarring on her back by her shoulder blades. They really aren’t visible unless she has her back exposed.

Hobbies/Skills:  Maresca is an avid reader.  She is protective of the younger children in the orphanage.  She is unofficially second in charge as far as the kids are concerned.  

Combat Skills: She can use her daggers, but is not a skilled fighter.  Her holy magic can be used to form different weapons such at arrows that she shoots at the enemy.  Her defense is better.  She is agile with dodging attacks, but not strong physically.

Weapon(s): She carries daggers and a green jewel encrusted rod.

Magical Abilities: She has holy, using it primarily for defense than offense. She can do healing.

Personality: She is a shy soft spoken person who likes staying in the background. She isn’t very open about herself, and is slow to trust others.  She is a bit naïve, but is creative in her solutions.  She has a black cat, Covina, that she met when she first came into this new world.  Maresca is the only one that the cat shows any open affection to.

Home World: The war-torn land of Aritia is facing its biggest threat in centuries. Demons are slowly taking over and it gets worse with every passing year. The inhabitants of Aritia are desperate, yet they still can’t stop fighting amongst themselves. Racial tension is steadily growing, and no one can agree on what to do about the demons.  

Brief Back Story: Maresca grew up an orphan in Agustine. Her quiet nature made her easily overlooked by potential parents. She is very studious with her magic, and it is the only time she feels alive.

Appearance: Tall, about six feet, and well toned. His hair and eyes are a very dark brown, and he’s wearing an orange shirt and black pants, combat boots, and a thick black thigh-length coat. His hands and body are covered in scars ranging in size.

Hobbies/Skills: Is good at card games and magic tricks.
Combat Skills: Excellent hand-to-hand combat skills, good knife fighter and shooter, great at mid-fight improvisation.
Weapon(s): Pistol and two long boot knives. Also carries around several lighters.
Magical Abilities: N/A

Personality: Suspicious, impulsive, yet meticulously careful. A free spirit in every sense. Bit of a sadist and too snarky for his own good at times.
Home World: Earth/ Shattered Realms world
Brief Back Story: He’s been working as a man for hire ever since he was 17 – taking up a variety of names and finally settling on Trick as his preferred ‘business name.’ Just because you hire him to do something doesn’t guarantee he’ll do as you wish, however. Recently, however, something’s gotten him more depressed and gloomy than usual – and acting far more reckless.

Hobbies/Skills: Rose is a master manipulator, even without using her powers.
Combat Skills: Rose is perfectly capable of taking care of herself.  She singlehandedly killed the previous monster Overlord.
Weapon(s): Aside from the disc blade she sometimes has (the thing around her neck), she can transform her two head stooges into a large scythe.
Magical Abilities:
Being a succubus, Rose has the ability to hypnotize using her supernatural beauty and has extensive illusion abilities.  she can psychically seduce anyone into doing anything for her.  She can also control the bat-like monsters that follow her around.  These bats can also be made to transform into her wings, allowing her to fly.  She is far stronger, more durable, faster, and more agile than mortals, can become invisible, and has a kiss of death.  She can transform smaller monsters (like her two servants) into large beasts. When powered by the Darklight, she has a huge host of other powers, including telekinesis, in which things are surrounded by a black aura as their outlines appear white beneath it.  Rose heals exceptionally quickly from injury when powered by it as well.  And she can summon forth a slew of nightmarish fiends and machinations from a world of utter terror bound to the crystal.

*Fears: Rose presumably fears nothing conceivable of the mortal world.  Whether she is actually without fear or is just a master of controlling her fear is unknown.

*Bad Habits: Being overly casual or nonchalant
*General Personality: Rose is surprisingly well read and speaks often times with the utmost wisdom despite her utterly nonchalant demeanor.  She carries herself with a calm, yet regal and sophisticated air.
Home World: Vangeleon (Darklight Chronicles)
Brief Back Story:
Above all other emotions, there are two that drive sapient life.  One of them is hope.  The other...is fear.

The Dark Age was a dreadful Era in Sydna's long and complicated history.  Few recount the actual events, but all can agree upon one truth.  It was a time ruled by fear, still unmatched in all of history since.  No one is certain when it began.  Some say that for as long as there have been nine regions, Sydna has had the highest monster population among them.  In the Dark Age, the monsters were mere savages.  They would thunder through the primitive settlements of our ancestors.  They would burn everything to the ground and slaughter people.

People lived without to ability to see their hands, two feet away from their eyes.  They huddled together in groups as if that alone would protect them.  In this age, no one slept.  But the sun never rose.

But the monsters themselves were but a fraction of people's worries.  Their king, a truly sadistic boggart who haunted people whether they be sleeping or awake.  He commanded fear.  He reveled in it.  Somehow, monsters knew that he was in charge.  Just as men feared the beasts, the beasts feared him.  He wielded terror like a fine steel blade.

He was at the height of his reign as master of Sydna.  Then, he suddenly met a girl he could not scare.  No one would claim the child.  She'd practically appeared from the ether one night.  She had eyes the glowed the same ominous yellow as his and inhuman violet hair.  Every attempt to make the small child cry failed and failed absolutely.

Had the side of man finally found something to find hope in?  No, no they did not.  Sabur couldn't frighten her.  He could not become her greatest nightmare because she had none.  Sabur grew enraged at this abomination of a child.  Was there no emotion?  She cared for nothing.  So there was no threat to take anything away.  There was nothing that made her fear for her life.

As the child grew in isolation, Sabur continually tried to terrify her.  Meanwhile, the people were growing more terrified than ever.  But it was no longer Sabur they feared.  It was this girl.

Soon she was an adult.  Now she approached Sabur, doing what no mortal creature had ever dared, entering the dark forest that led to Sabur's badlands.  When she emerged at the center, finding his hideous domain, he attacked her.  Still she felt nothing for his presence and shrugged off his best efforts.  She deflected him at every turn.  He grew weak.  It was a feeling he wasn't familiar with.

At last, she stood over him and he revealed his true form to be nothing more than a man with grey skin and pitch black eyes.  She had backed him down and to add insult to injury, she made him admit it.  She made him admit, once and for all, the he was afraid of her.

Once that was over, she ended his indignity there in one final move and claimed the badlands for herself.  Now men knew why they feared her so, yet hadn't been able to tell her to leave.  She had every bit of control over them that Sabur did.  She was no mere woman.  She was a Succubus.

Now she controlled the monsters and she withdrew them from the lands of man, agreeing to allow them to live in peace and build a settlement while she reigned over the beasts.

In time, the great kingdom of Chronescia gave rise.  Meanwhile, the Succubus Queen, Rose had been busy, reeducating as much of the monster horde as could be taught.  She transformed the innermost portion of the Badlands, where Sabur's domain once stood, forming it into a sort of kingdom of her own where sapient monsters could thrive, leaving the outer badlands for the savage ones.

The arrangement has stood the test of time.  Though uneasy, the peace between the two powers in the Sydna region has lasted...though for how much longer remains to be seen.

Name: Calamity
Age: ~21 years
Race: Android
Gender: Appears male
Appearance: 6' 1" tall. Thin but muscular. Wears a black flight suit that covers all of his body except for the head. Also wears a black, angular helmet with an orange-tinted face visor. A fanged, phantasmal face is painted on the visor. Under his helmet, he has white, short hair and purple eyes. On his back is a reactor core that allows the manipulation of a personal magnetic field, enabling flight. Has front and rear light skirt armor that house small throwing daggers and side skirt armor that each holds one folding beam kama. The reactor, along with the rest of Calamity’s upper half of his body is hidden under a tattered, black cloak.  

Hobbies/Skills: Running complicated calculations, acting as Meriel’s servant and bodyguard, learning new skills and combat techniques
Combat Skills: Mainly uses a collapsible beam scythe. Proficient at close quarters combat and throwing weapons. Calamity can manipulate his magnetic field, causing his scythe to fire off a crescent of energy when swung. Very quick and agile when he’s in the air. Being an advanced android, his reaction time is somewhat inhuman and his movements are very precise. Skilled in reconnaissance and stealth.
Weapon(s): Beam scythe, 2 beam kamas, 8 throwing knives(4 in front, 4 in rear)

3 drones that use a prototype flight system similar to Calamity's, but with less power. Each drone can become invisible to the human eye for a limited time. They each have beam machine guns attached to one arm. The machine guns utilize external energy cartridges as ammunition. These guns can also charge a shot to fire a single, piercing beam of energy, which uses up more ammo. Calamity and Meriel can control the drones as well as view a live video feed from their optical sensor arrays.

Personality: Comes across as very unemotional and calculating. He only speaks when he feels it’s necessary, but he never behaves rudely. Tends to be quite protective of Meriel and her creations. He tries to have conversations with others to be more “friendly”, but his matter-of-fact way of speaking tends to distance people from him.
Home World: Dragultia: Gaia Realm
Brief Back Story: Calamity was created to act as a law enforcer and test subject, but after recent events, he was left under the attention of Dragultia’s star engineer, Meriel. He received a few upgrades, as well as some new weapons and a visual makeover to accommodate for his next trip to a different realm where beings of different worlds collided.

Ariadne:

Hobbies/Skills: Ariadne is fascinated with nature; the sky, trees, animals, etc. She enjoys running with her wolf companion, Holo.
Combat Skills: Fast, agile, flexible
Weapon(s): Fangs, claws, horns, bow and arrow
Magical Abilities: Ariadne has heightened senses; she can see, hear, and smell scents from much farther away than humans and is more attentive too. Because of her strong connection to wildlife, she can also create a leaf storm and blast focused forceful air.

Personality: Hasty to act, confident, intelligent, wise, childish
Home World: Folium Mist
Brief Back Story: Ariadne is a mythical being of the woods. She is a wise, superior being, yet still childish. And as such, she feels her actions are always justified. If you challenge her word it is more than likely she’ll challenge you to a duel, after a verbal lashing. She befriended many of the animals and can sense how they feel at times. A small wolf, Holo, befriended her and is the most loyal. Holo follows Ariadne and is helpful in battle. Ariadne is part animal and part human and at certain times, different animal traits can surpass even her human half. On Halloween the wolf inside of her is unleashed and is the most prominent part of her. Because of this, she can sometimes act irrationally. Her appearance remains the same, except her fangs and claws are elongated and sharper. Ariadne also has a lust for blood. It is small, but can cause her to act restlessly, sometimes attacking out of the blue.

Hobbies/Skills:
Combat Skills: a skilled brawler, evidenced from the time she has spent on her own
Weapon(s): A magic staff accessible by summoning it, a pocket knife and a spell-book.
Magical Abilities: A magician of the darker variety. She is capable of casting varied and powerful spells via her staff and minor spells and tricks without it. For certain spells she's forced to say whatever she wishes to do out loud, but for minor things- or what she is already used to, she can recite it in her mind.
She's capable of flying via her staff, self proclaimed 'witch's broom' and able to levitate with minimal effort. She can summon dark, solidified energy to attack opponents and form barriers as per her liking.

Personality: A foul mouthed and fiery teenager, Astrid is a two-time high-school dropout. Any and all attempts to integrate her in the public school system have failed, miserably at that. Social conventions are lost on her and she usually speaks her mind with little to no thought before or after. Highly hot-headed, if one wishes to pick a fight with her, chances are they'll get one. Astrid grew up in a world where everyone was the enemy until proven otherwise, as such she believes everyone is out to get her- and trusts no one. She can be somewhat abrasive at times- but all the above mask a rather jovial, if not snarky, and highly loyal personality.
Home World: Earth (one of its many incarnations)
Brief Back Story: Astrid grew up in the shady underside of Cicero. Her family being universally poor and famous for being smooth talkers who lived in cars and scammed people out of their money *only to blast it all away on booze*- she wasn't universally liked from the get-go. Her family moved around quite a bit, whenever they came across a problem they couldn't weasel out of, they turned tail and ran. Astrid did, however, have one true companion. Her dog, Sparky. Found as a stray, the young Astrid begged and pleaded to keep him. She was allowed this on two conditions, she feeds it, and if it craps in the car it's out. When Astrid was thirteen, a gang of local bullies decided to torment her. They snatched her dog, put in on a choke collar, and threatened to slit it's throat if she didn't do exactly as they asked. Everything her family had ever taught her told her to run, but she was in a rage. It was on that day she first discovered her abilities, using it to torment the boys and leave them all, unconscious, in the alleyway where they had lured her. She took her dog and ran, 'quitting' school', at least until her mother made her go.
And then they moved again. After her brother ran away from home, her mother became a complete wreck, a basket case. She had to once again, drop out to take care of her. When it seemed her mother was fine, after a year or so- she tried going again on her mothers insistence. When she entered highschool again, she found herself bullied and harassed. The constant verbal and mental abuse from her mother- as well as her mothers inability to care for and feed her- prompted Astrid to once again drop-out, and in the steps of her brother, run away from home. She took her dog and took to the road, roaming the country and acting as a vigilante hero for anyone she felt needed assistance.
