The DiMarco House Registration

On the outskirts of the small town of Aurora stands an ancient, massive house stands, unused for years upon years: the former house of the DiMarco family. For nearly fifty years the house stood vacant, after the entire family was mysteriously murdered inside the house. The people of Aurora have avoided the house for years, many of them claiming to hear the sounds of screaming from inside the house. The place was declared haunted, and left alone, and for fifty years it stood harmless.

Up until now. People in the town of Aurora have started disappearing, their bodies being found around the house, rotted and decomposed as if they have been dead months, not days. The people have been on edge for months now, all of them believing that the ghosts of the house have come to bring their wrath down upon the town.

That’s why they’ve called you. You, as the expert supernatural investigation team, are to explore the seemingly haunted mansion, discover what exactly is causing the disappearances and deaths of Aurora’s citizens, and neutralize the threat however you can. The team they sent before you never came back out. Will you defeat whatever lies within, or will you simply become another victim?

Rules:

1) A max of ten people is allowed in this roleplay. Slots are first come first serve.

2) Follow the standard RP guidelines

3) This roleplay will be very fast-paced – we will not wait for people who go inactive.

4) While there is magic in the world, it is rarely powerful or offensive, usually supportive in nature or designed specifically to deal with the supernatural. I have the right to veto any ideas for magic for your character

4) Paragraph style, 3-4 lines at least, please.

NOTE: Death will be a regular occurrence in this roleplay. When a character ‘dies’, they will not be entirely dead; rather, they will become another one of the ghosts in the mansion. Characters that are ghosts are unable to communicate verbally with other characters and cannot interact with objects, but they will be able to communicate verbally with and interact with the other ghosts. I will use dice rolls to determine victims, though players who break the rules will be punished with character death.

Backstory: Aaron is a professional ghost investigator having been in countless lockdowns. He is known as the gadget guy and likes all his different gadgets. He totes around huge cases with him at all times. He also likes to test new equipment all the time.

Backstory: Touris girl that only just recently heard of some stupid, supposedly haunted house and intents tor enter, just to prove the superstitious louts wrong. She'll be laughing at the end of the night, probably take pictures of the stupid place and post them all up on facebook.

Skills: Plays violin that she believes "soothes" the spirits of those who have passed away. Her violin skills are high enough to even serenade a large audience.

Equipment: Violin kit that includes a red-tinted violin, bow, and extra string

Backstory: Antoinette was a bit...strange, if anything. She enjoyed listening to classic baroque music like some normal people do, but she also had a fascination with the dead. She often walked through graveyards or watched burials from afar, always with violin in hand. Antoinette found herself practicing her violin playing in the graveyard, and as she got better, she believed her playing actually calmed the spirits of the dead. Antoinette came to the DiMarco house, excited to see how the spirits lived back then and also play for them.
