Name: Nedria Verta

Appearance: She is about 5'4 with a petite build. http://wallbase.cc/wallpaper/1157129 . She does have some muscle from working on the farm.

Background: Ever since it was discovered that she was a mage her parents kept her hidden to keep her from coming a dragon rider. They are somewhat nomadic, moving whenever people question Nedria's abilities. So far they have been able to stay a step ahead of the soldiers. She knows very little about the dragons, most of the information she's heard is secondhand or from her parents. She has been learning how to use magic from her grandmother. And unknown to her parents has been given a staff. She is not the most powerful of mages, but has a lot of potential. If the soldiers can get to her..

Name: Daiden

Appearance: Daiden has an athletic build, and is about 6'1. His hair is cut short as to not get in his eyes when fighting or flying, and is sun bleached blonde. His eyes are a dark brown color, and his skin is slightly tanned in the winter, but darker in the summer due to being outdoors more.

Background: Daiden is one of the leaders of the Shadowmount Riders. He is one of the youngest, and only became a leader when his parents disappeared. He is the older brother of Kyra, and while he shares her need to find out what happened to his parents, he is less reckless than she. He takes his duty as a Rider and Leader very seriously, but he values his family more. If he had to choose between his leadership and his little sister he would in a heart beat. Part of his duties he preforms is the scouting and retrieval of promising recruits.



Name: Lyamir

Species: Fire

Appearance: Lyamir has a dark chocolate brown stripe down her back that starts at the base of her skull and ends at the tip of her tail. The brown fades into a dark shade of red around it, which then fades into a brighter red on her lower legs and feet. She has two horns going down her muzzle, one slightly below her eyes and one on her nose. A set of four horns adorn her head, one set are long and go back like that of an antelope and then others are slightly smaller but the same. Spikes run along her spine, ending half way down her tail. The horns and spikes are black. Her eyes are a bright red.

Background: Young and rambunctious, she has a habit of stirring up the younger dragons. Quick to loose her temper, she is watched closely by the older dragons, and the hope is once she has her rider she will settle down.




Name: Drokui

Spiecies: Fire

Appearance: He has a black stripe down his back that starts at the base of his skull and ends at the tip of his tail. The black fades into a dark shade of red around it, which then fades into a brighter red on his lower legs and feet. A set of four horns adorn his head, one set are long and go back like that of an antelope and then others curl around like a rams horns. Spikes run along his spine, ending half way down his tail. The horns and spikes are black. His eyes are a bright red.

Background: From the same clutch as Lyamir, they are essentially brother and sister. Dragon's don't really see each other as siblings however, and regard each other with a slight fascination. Drokui is more laid back than his clutch mate, and not as quick tempered. He does not belong to a rider as of yet, but is young and still growing.

Appearance: 5'9 with wavy brown hair. Her skin is pale, almost snow white, and her eyes are a deep chestnut color.

Background: While Isadeva likes helping the riders with her magic, and spends a great deal of her time healing their dragons and others she has no real desire to become one herself. She knows eventually that they will force her to join their ranks, but until that day she is content to continue her life as is.

Appearance: 6'0. Hair is black, and slightly wavy; that falls slightly below his ears. He has a very soft and trusting sort of look that makes people easily trust him. His eyes are a light grey that contrasts with his brother's almost black eyes.

Background: He was recruited the same time as his older brother, but with his personality managed to proceed through the ranks at a faster pace.

Appearance: Inra is 20 feet tall, a runt compared to many, her wingspan barely reaches 50 feet but she flies fast and sure. Her scales are an opaque purple sometimes shimmering a light green when the sunlight hits them just right.

Background: Inra has always been a little skittish of people and also other dragons, it’s hard to say whether she’s be loyal to a fault but much like everyone else she just wants someone to understand her and care for her. She is the oldest unbonded dragon in the aviary. Calm and sweet by nature her bark is nowhere near as bad as her bite.

Appearance: 6'0. She has straight, blood red hair. She has eerily orange colored eyes, that most assume is because of her affinity of fire magic above all else.

Background: She was eager to join the ranks of the Order. The moment her magic began showing, she let her presence be known. She is spiteful, vengeful, and cunning. While her rank isn't that high with the Shadowmount riders, she is elite in the force of dragon riders that have begun their attack. She is aware of a lot more than she lets on, and spends most of her days antagonizing both Isadeva and Lazarus.

6'2, brown hair cut to just below his eyes normally swept back out of his face, his eyes are such a dark brown that they appear black and most who come close enough to see them swear they could see into the bowels of hell. Lazarus likes to get us close and personal for his kills being skilled in mainly hand to hand combat along with being highly skilled with a dagger. (think Ian Somerhalder)
Back Story:
Lazarus and his younger brother Marcus were both drafted to be dragon riders, but his brother found it easier to brown nose his way into the ranks than by skill. Lazarus was more fit to be a dragon rider than Marcus but in the end they made Marcus the first pick and Lazarus just a lousy low ranking soldier. He was allowed to bond with a dragon, but not able to advance in the ranks. After a few years of second best he left the riders in the dark of night along with his bonded dragon.
Lazarus found an order of dragon riders who were more than willing to allow him in after seeing what he could do along with his hatred and distrust of the main order who shunned him. He was seen as the perfect recruit and unlike some the accidental deaths didn't bother him, it was after all in the cycle of life.

While his Rider had an fire element he was and ice dragon and yet they got on well. Having been with Deirra for 6 years they ride well and he has a mind as wicked at his rider.

Appearance: She has straight, dark black hair just past her collarbone in length. Her eyes are a pale brown, and her skin is olive in color. She is 5'7", and her body is lithe and toned. She wears dark, serious clothing and high, brown leather boots.

Back Story: Simone is a bit of a hermit – she was born and lives alone in the mountains, away from civilization, and only ventures into the city when she is low on supplies. She hates her magic, seeing it as a curse rather than a gift ever since when she was younger her magic went out of control and killed her traveling companion. She likes people, but stays out of the city now because of her fear that she will be drafted and forced to use her magic. She also thinks that the relationship between dragon and rider is unnatural, and detrimental to all involved. She has a bitter, sarcastic personality, and is almost too realistic. She has trained herself to use a bow in the mountains, rather than try to use her magic.

Back Story: Kyra's parents are soldiers and are two of the ones that have gone missing recently. Her father has returned, but without his dragon and without his soul. Kyra has always been fierce, but what has happened to her parents has driven her more to find the people responsible for what is happening. Since she has no wish other than revenge, she spends most of her time training. While she looks up to her brother, she hasn't adopted any of his control. In fact, everyone might view her as reckless, but she doesn't care.

Appearance: A very light purple along his backbone, tail, and face, but the rest of his body is bright white.

Back Story: Gray was the firstborn of his parents, who both have riders. Unlike many of the other dragon families, he hasn't lost anyone. If he had to choose, he wouldn't have a rider, but he knows that soon enough he will have one without a choice. Gray doesn't understand the bond between dragon and rider and therefore feels that having a rider would be the end of his freedom. He is an outsider among the dragons as they resent his complete family and not even his parents understand his view on riders.

Back Story: Joelle started as a mage/rider when she was first recruited. She has always had a bit more power than her peers. That and her dedication to the mission of the riders helped her move up in the ranks. She is now the head of the Council. Joelle is honest to the point of bluntness and hard as nails with those that irritate or anger her, though she is always fair. To those she trusts and is close to, she is kind, understanding, and funny. That side of her is kept private. She is respected among all riders and her word is law. No one messes with her unless they want to hurt. Joelle and her dragon are practically one being they have been together so long. There is no one she trusts more than her dragon, Syat.

Background: Adela has always been a bit of a rule breaker among the other dragons. She enjoys pushing the limits, going fast, and using her lightning. She is completely devoted to Marcus and he is the only human she really listens to.

Background: Leren is somewhat of an arrogant dragon, very sure of his flying skills and likes to show off. He'll be the first to try something dangerous or risky, but is still riderless. He doesn't resist having a rider, but often boasts to the other dragons that he's so good, he doesn't need one.

Appearance: Burnt orange in color all over except for his underneath and its white all the way up his neck to his face where beginning right below his mouth it turns red. The red comes up over his snout and fans out to around his eyes where it then begins to blend in with the orange.

Rider: You stated in above you were assigning riders to dragons.

Background: Armenian is finally beginning to calm down. He for the longest was just as rambunctious as the next young dragon, but in his ten years so far he is beginning to understand that he is needed. He is beginning to pursue what his purpose in life is.

Appearance: Horns and spikes are sliver, and the light shimmery color runs down to blend into the bright red of her body. Her stomach is also sliver, which curves up to frame her bottom jaw in sliver as well. Sapphire eyes.

Background: Phoenix could never be contained. She was always running around getting into all kinds of trouble.

Back Story: Zane was raised in a poor family and up until the age of 10, he had stayed there and worked in any type of way he could to help them out.

Until the day a Dragon rider came to their small village and said that he was recruiting youngsters who wanted to become strong, and if they wanted, dragon riders them selves.

Zane who had been craving adventure for a long time talked about it to his parents with such enthusiasm that they could not refuse, also wanting to see their son grow into something more than a poor citizen struggling for survival.

When he left with the Dragon rider with a couple of other kids he had recruited, they went somewhere in a forest and established their little colonie. They had to do everything, build there houses, hunt their food, filter their water, etc. Once well established and the tasks distributed between all the people staying there, they started training.

Zane greatly stood out to the Dragon Rider's eyes, he became his ''star pupil''. Zane had chosen to master the Glaive, liking the effectiveness of its long range and good guarding capability's, as well as the bow and arrow. When He turned 16, the Dragon rider had decided to offer a gift to him. He offered to bring him to the great city of Myreria for a chance to become a Dragon Rider himself.

Zane accepted without hesitation. But there was one condition, Zane had to run away after, and become as his old self was, a rogue Dragon Rider, living off their own capability's. Traveling alone with their dragon or in a small group, helping people in need.

Zane told him that, this was already in his intentions, he did not wanna be controlled, he wanted the taste of true freedom. So he gave is farewell to all the people in their colonie and left for the city. Once he got in the city, he became an initiate Dragon rider and is know awaiting his chance to bond with his very own dragon.

Background: Bithore was just recently persuaded into assisting the dragon riders of shadowmount. Before he had contact with them he lived by himself, in solitary cave. He lived in this cave alone, and only left it when he felt like stretching his wings or when he had to eat. there were a few farms close to his home. These were farms manufactured things that was only possible to create under the extreme condition in that area.
There were sadly only 4 left at the time bithore got contacted. Many of the people in that area had started to believe the rumors of a big dragon nearby, and some even believed the dragon was the reason for all of the snowstorms and ice everywhere.

Bithore, who tried his hardest not to get noticed by people often used the snowstorms as a cover when he was out flying. He had no trouble flying in these storms thanks to being an ice dragon. When he was a young dragon, and his mother was still alive, he used to fly around during very dangerous storms with her. This is the reason he became good flyer.
