Dragon Gateway Registration

The World:
The realm of Cyprynini is protected by dragon riders. Some riders volunteer,
some are born into it, and some are forced. Each person is chosen by a dragon.
The process can sometimes be harmful, since the dragons are usually kept away
from riderless humans so that they do not bond to the wrong person. Usually the
dragons are young, barely fledged, but there has been some instances when a
dragon did not bond until they were well matured. The bond is then sealed by an
old and powerful ritual that rips the dragon's and rider's soul from their
bodies, and combines them into two solid crystals. One is to be worn by the
rider, the other to be held by the dragon. The crystals are never to be lost,
or given to anyone else. They are literally their souls, and without them they
become nothing but empty husks.
The riders and dragons are trained at Myreria--a city carved into the mountain
side. No one is sure how it got there or came to be, but it is only accessible
by dragon back. There are some non-riders that live in the city. They are mostly
to take care of the riders' needs, but are NEVER to attend the dragon's needs.
This rule is not because the dragon might change riders, but it is because it
is the rider's job to care for the dragon.
Plot:
Riders and their dragons have suddenly started to come up missing. So far almost half of the fleet have
disappeared and only two have been found. They were not complete when they were
found however. Both dragon and rider were in a coma like state of being, their
Soul Crystals shattered. One by one riders are turning up all the same. Broken,
and unable to communicate. No one is sure what is going on, and the higher ups
have been trying to keep everything under wraps so not to create a panic.
Background Info:
Human:
Yes there are only humans, sorry guys. If you are human you have two specs to
chose from: Soldier or Mage.
Soldiers are capable of fighting with any kind of melee weapon--swords,
axes, daggers, etc--or long range weapons--bows, crossbows, etc.
Mages use magic, and are highly sought after. There are few in the
world, and everyone of them--if found--are recruited into being a rider.
Most volunteer, but there are some who must be forced into it. The mages can
use their dragon's power to strength their own spells, and usually have staffs
or daggers as weapons--sometimes both.
On top of this, you have the option to make your character noble, or common
born. Of course I will put limits on this because not everyone can be noble.
Dragons:
Dragons
will be based off of western dragons, and while in previous Rps of mine
they have been able to change forms, they will not in this one. Dragons
only have one form and that is their dragon forms. They do come in
different variates however, and I will list them below later. Dragons
themselves cannot use magic besides their breath attacks, but they are
able to help mages power up their spells.
Types of Dragons:
Fire:
These dragons are the biggest with a height of on average 40 feet from
the head down. Their wingspan is at least 80 feet. Their coloring is any
hue of red, orange, brown, or combinations. Obviously their breath
weapon is fire.
Ice: They are the second biggest, with
their average height being 30 feet. They can be as big as an average
size fire dragon, but it is extremely rare. Their wingspan is at least
60 feet. Their coloring is any hue of blue, purple, white, or
combinations.
Lighting: They are the smallest at 20 feet, with a wingspan of 40 feet. Their coloring is any hue of yellow, green, or combinations.
Rules:
1. Follow the rules of GtR. If you don't I'll feed you to Leah.
2.
I will attempt to handle all disputes on my own before contacting a
mod. Do NOT get mad at me if I contact you over a question or wanting
you to change something. If you have a problem notify me FIRST, then if we can't handle it feel free to go to a mod.
3. Please notify my if you will be gone
for over a week. I'm giving you a little leeway here because with my job
I won't make it on some days. If you don't notify me, I will dispose of
your character in anyways I see fit.

Paragraph form, please. I'm not too picky about grammar, but absolutely
no chat speak. Spelling out words is not hard everyone does it. If you
aren't sure on how to spell a word that alright, try the best you can,
and we can figure it out I'm sure.

Back Story: Kyra's parents are soldiers and are two of the ones that have gone missing recently. Her father has returned, but without his dragon and without his soul. Kyra has always been fierce, but what has happened to her parents has driven her more to find the people responsible for what is happening. Since she has no wish other than revenge, she spends most of her time training. While she looks up to her brother, she hasn't adopted any of his control. In fact, everyone might view her as reckless, but she doesn't care.

Appearance: A very light purple along his backbone, tail, and face, but the rest of his body is bright white.
Back Story: Gray was the firstborn of his parents, who both have riders. Unlike many of the other dragon families, he hasn't lost anyone. If he had to choose, he wouldn't have a rider, but he knows that soon enough he will have one without a choice. Gray doesn't understand the bond between dragon and rider and therefore feels that having a rider would be the end of his freedom. He is an outsider among the dragons as they resent his complete family and not even his parents understand his view on riders.

Back Story: Joelle started as a mage/rider when she was first recruited. She has always had a bit more power than her peers. That and her dedication to the mission of the riders helped her move up in the ranks. She is now the head of the Council. Joelle is honest to the point of bluntness and hard as nails with those that irritate or anger her, though she is always fair. To those she trusts and is close to, she is kind, understanding, and funny. That side of her is kept private. She is respected among all riders and her word is law. No one messes with her unless they want to hurt. Joelle and her dragon are practically one being they have been together so long. There is no one she trusts more than her dragon, Syat.

Back Story: Ever since it was discovered that she was a mage her parents kept her hidden to keep her from coming a dragon rider. They are somewhat nomadic, moving whenever people question Nedria's abilities. So far they have been able to stay a step ahead of the soldiers. She knows very little about the dragons, most of the information she's heard is secondhand or from her parents. She has been learning how to use magic from her grandmother. And unknown to her parents has been given a staff. She is not the most powerful of mages, but has a lot of potential. If the soldiers can get to her...

Back Story: Her grandfather was the infamous general Stormy Demandred, who was known for his power and ferocity in battle, having led his men to many victories against impossible odds. Everyone thought he'd die on the battlefield, and perhaps he would've, except that his only daughter was murdered with her husband by a group of marauding bandits, over 100 strong, leaving behind a child. When told of the news, he immediately charged to the village. Leaving his grandaughter in the care of one of the survivors, he single-handedly charged into the bandits' stronghold and unleashed a swath of murderous fury and vengeance-filled wrath that would be sung forevermore in that area.
Afterward, to everyone's surprise, he honorably discharged from the service, took his granddaughter, and disappeared in the mountains. He has raised her to this day, teaching her how to survive and live off the land and how to fight. While well-read, she has had little experience in the way of people, despite a village being in the base of the mountains, instead taking her grandfather's hermetic tendencies and keeping to herself.

Back Story: Darius was raised in a poor family and up until the age of 10, he had stayed there and worked in any type of way he could to help them out. Until the day a Dragon rider came to their small village and said that he was recruiting youngsters who wanted to become strong, and if they wanted, dragon riders them selves. Darius who had been craving adventure for a long time talked about it to his parents with such enthusiasm that they could not refuse, also wanting to see their son grow into something more than a poor citizen struggling for survival. When he left with the Dragon rider with a couple of other kids he had recruited, they went somewhere in a forest and established their little colonie. They had to do everything, build there houses, hunt their food, filter their water, etc. Once well established and the tasks distributed between all the people staying there, they started training. Darius greatly stood out to the Dragon Rider's eyes, he became his ''star pupil''. Darius had chosen to master the Glaive, liking the effectiveness of its long range and good guarding capability's. When Darius turned 16, the Dragon rider had decided to offer a gift to him. He offered to bring him to the great city of Myreria for a chance to become a Dragon Rider himself. Darius accepted without hesitation. But there was one condition, Darius had to run away after, and become as his old self was, a rogue Dragon Rider, living off their own capability's. Traveling alone with their dragon or in a small group, helping people in need. Darius told him that, this was already in his intentions, he did not wanna be controlled, he wanted the taste of true freedom. So he gave is farewell to all the people in their colonie and left for the city. Once he got in the city, he became an initiate Dragon rider and is know awaiting his chance to bond with his very own dragon.

Appearance:Mostly electric blue with white. Pretty small, about 25 ft tall with long white horn crackling with electricity
Back Story: Nymeria was born in Myreria. When she knew she would somehow linked to a human she stressed out and tried to escape her nest. She got caught by her parent and stop thinking about flying away. 1 year later, the final moment came. She was gonna know soon to who she would be with the rest of her life.

Appearance:Mostly electric blue with white. Pretty small, about 25 ft tall with long white horn crackling with electricity

Dragon Type: Fire
Appearance: He is a really small Fire Dragon due to him being born at the same time as his brother, so they could not occupy as much space before being born, thus being underdeveloped in size, but he functions as if he were as big as the others. He is 17 feet long and he has a wing span of 37 feet. he is all black except for his belly and under paws which are dark orange, he has orange fulminating eyes and the horns he has all the way from his head to his tail are molten his claws are also molten. He also has a hard thing that resembles a rock at the end of his tail.. used for smashing (lol)
Back Story: Rewilin was born in the City of Myreria, where his mother resided. His brother and mother died at birth since it was to demanding for the mother and Rewilin had gotten the life force needed to survive, unlike his brother. Rewilin had fought the first 2 months of his life just trying to stay alive, the few months after he had became independent finally able to function without help he learned how to fly and do what ever it is a dragon does he now awaits his Rider.

Occupation(Soldier, Mage): Soldier
Appearance: Daiden has an athletic build, and is about 6'1. His hair is cut short as to not get in his eyes when fighting or flying, and is sun bleached blonde. His eyes are a dark brown color, and his skin is slightly tanned in the winter, but darker in the summer due to being outdoors more.
Back Story: Daiden is one of the leaders of the Myrerian Riders. He is one of the youngest, and only became a leader when his parents disappeared. He is the older brother of Kyra, and while he shares her need to find out what happened to his parents, he is less reckless than she. He takes his duty as a Rider and Leader very seriously, but he values his family more. If he had to choose between his leadership and his little sister he would in a heart beat. Part of his duties he preforms is the scouting and retrieval of promising recruits.

Appearance: Lyamir has a dark chocolate brown stripe down her back that starts at the base of her skull and ends at the tip of her tail. Appearance: Daiden has an athletic build, and is about 6'1. His hair is cut short as to not get in his eyes when fighting or flying, and is sun bleached blonde. His eyes are a dark brown color, and his skin is slightly tanned in the winter, but darker in the summer due to being outdoors more.
Back Story: Daiden is one of the leaders of the Myrerian Riders. He is one of the youngest, and only became a leader when his parents disappeared. He is the older brother of Kyra, and while he shares her need to find out what happened to his parents, he is less reckless than she. He takes his duty as a Rider and Leader very seriously, but he values his family more. If he had to choose between his leadership and his little sister he would in a heart beat. Part of his duties he preforms is the scouting and retrieval of promising recruits.

6'2, brown hair cut to just below his eyes normally swept back out of his face, his eyes are such a dark brown that they appear black and most who come close enough to see them swear they could see into the bowels of hell. Lazarus likes to get us close and personal for his kills being skilled in mainly hand to hand combat along with being highly skilled with a dagger. (think Ian Somerhalder)
Back Story:
Lazarus and his younger brother Marcus were both drafted to be dragon riders, but his brother found it easier to brown nose his way into the ranks than by skill. Lazarus was more fit to be a dragon rider than Marcus but in the end they made Marcus the first pick and Lazarus just a lousy low ranking soldier. He was allowed to bond with a dragon, but not able to advance in the ranks. After a few years of second best he left the riders in the dark of night along with his bonded dragon.
Lazarus found an order of dragon riders who were more than willing to allow him in after seeing what he could do along with his hatred and distrust of the main order who shunned him. He was seen as the perfect recruit and unlike some the accidental deaths didn't bother him, it was after all in the cycle of life.
