Character Closure RP

Waking up on top of cold, hard stone, Taeyrn is sore and tired, achy from sleeping in a very uncomfortable position. The bright sun is in his eyes and he squints about to realize that the floor he is on, circular in shape, is in the air! It's some sort of...floating platform?

Walking towards the edge of the ten-foot diameter circle, he squints through the light to see other platforms--pillars, to be exact. So, he was atop a pillar. They were the same height as he is and of course, there seems to be no way to get down on any of the other pillars, so he can assume the same for his own.

Thirty feet away, Asher could be seen waking up on a cold stone patch of his own. His concern lowers just a bit and he wonders where Isaac is. Looking to the other pillars, there are other people...but none of them are him. The man had always been kind to Taeyrn, always respectful. However, Asher hated the man and when he saw Asher following Isaac into a tunnel, some part of him thought it wise to follow the follower.

The extreme weather shift is strange...his winter coat would have no need in this place when he finds his way to the ground. To be honest, he has no idea where he is or why the hell he is here and realizing he may not be able to get home, he silently scolds himself for his stupidity. He will probably have to find Isaac in order to figure out how to get home, now.

Nymeria's body felt stiff, as if she had been dead for a few days. The calm breeze hand't always been there. The air felt warm but the hard surface on her back was cold as steel. After opening her eyes, Nymeria could tell she was far from her previous location. Her body was lying on the hard surface with her limbs spread out, but she felt no restraints on her. This is surprising. Nymeria thought as she stared to the quiet sky. Nymeria noticed she was on something dark, possibly metallic, but doubts clouded her thoughts.

As the confused magician sat up, she saw several other structures of similar appearance. "Pillars?" She asked under her breath. The pillars must have been summoned or built before-hand. Why Nymeria was taken out to the middle of nowhere, Nymeria couldn't understand. After some more inspection, Nymeria could see others atop each pillar. Some already awake and others seemingly unconscious. No way of getting down. Nymeria thought as she rose to her feet. It took a moment to get accustomed to standing but she felt fine afterwards. None of the other travelers looked familiar, so things should get interesting.

Asher twitched, stirring slowly as he started to wake up. Wait...I was sleeping? He twitched, violently coming awake and shoving himself off the stone floor.

Not a floor really, he realized - wherever they were it was up. Way up. Asher shuddered as he looked over the edge down below. He could probably work a way down with his force - well no, probably was being a bit optimistic. He gave a nervous laugh, standing up slowly and backing away from the edge. "Okay. That's great. That's just fantastic." His life was just full of great things now, wasn't it.

His stomach dropped as he recalled where he'd been before and - Isaac. He spun, searching - but he was nowhere to be seen. Asher brought a fist to his mouth, cursing under his breath. That didn't mean anything. "Don't ever make the mistake of thinking I can't hear you."

He still couldn't... he couldn't believe it. His own brother. There was no one else in the world that he'd trusted - and he couldn't possibly have screwed it up worse.

Asher looked back around the pillars, more slowly this time, seeing Taeyrn was among those there. His gut clenched. Had he been following them? Maybe that had been why Isaac had changed course so suddenly, veering off from their path to a cave that ended in what looked like a hole in the air.

And he'd followed. Like the pathetic little boy he was. It wasn't like he'd had many options.

He had to say something. Isaac had been very clear - "You don't need to talk to that kid anymore, we both know you're a burden on him anyways" - but Taeyrn was looking at him now that he was up, he had to say something. "You alright?" he said, shifting his stance nervously on the pillar high up in the air.

Taeyrn shakes his head, looking about and wondering how in the hell he is going to get down from this thing. They both will have to find a way down, and all of the other people that are on the other pillars seem just as confused about this whole portal thing, as well. Did they all willingly step into another world as he and Asher had? He was quite unsure...

"No." Taeyrn says. "I'm worried about how we will get back--or even how we will get down from here. Got any ideas? And why the hell did your bro come here? What is he, insane? Damn."

Taeyrn scratches the top of his as he continues to look about, eying the surroundings and the other people that are within good sight range carefully while he can. His eyes were wide when he realized that the pillar to his other side had a little boy hanging from the edge of his own pillar!

"Oi!" Taeyrn says, very concerned. "Hold on! I will try to help you--just don't fall, okay!?"

Asher forced a laugh. Insane. That's pretty funny. Taeyrn had no idea how right he was.

He looked over the edge down to the ground below. If Isaac had ended up here as well, he could well be long gone. Stupid cheating wind magic. He could have flown far off by now... or he could be hovering around anywhere.

He had to stop thinking about that. He was starting to feel sick. Asher turned his attention to the others who were here on the pillars. His eyebrows shot up as he saw a winged girl nearby, sharing a platform with another - she certainly wasn't going to have trouble getting down - and he moved on, scanning the others. None of them were familiar.

He turned his attention to the kid Taeyrn was trying to reach, watching as he scuttled even farther down the pillar. "I'm not sure he needs our help, Tae," he said.

Taeyrn is ready to contemplate on how to help the little boy when the kid crawls along the fucking thing like a spider. His body jolts as the kid drops, his fists clenching and body tensing up as he feared for the worst.

"Oh by the Maker!" Tae thinks to himself, trying to calm down. This shit is just getting weird. So, the kid has Force Climb...but he doesn't seem willing to help anyone with getting down, either. He'll have to think of another way.

"So, do any of you see how to get down?" A girl calls out.

Tae decides not to answer. He can't help her any more than he can help himself, and though he wants to be helpful, his mind is still utterly stuck on contemplation, analyzing where they are, how they got here, and so on. He really is not having much luck today and he only has two filled charges, both of which are useless in this situation.

Nymeria crept up to the edge, gazing downward for some way to get to the ground. A few ideas popped into her head, but they were all too flawed to work without someone losing their life. That's when she heard one of the others calling out to someone, apparently trying to offer help. After Nymeria began scanning the immediate area, she quickly found a boy hanging on to the edge of his own pillar, but then proceeded to climb down with surprising ease. What kind of magic is this? Nym thought. Perhaps the boy could help the others down, but he looked too scrawny to carry the weight of another adult all the way down repeatedly.

Nym then heard someone to her left mention a Gargoyle, to which she saw two others standing on the same pillar. A Gargoyle? But I thought those only existed in myth. Maybe...one of those two... Nym suddenly felt giddy enough to perform a back flip. She's only read about the empowering effects of gargoyle blood. But she couldn't acquire such an item there. After another stranger asked if there was a way to get down, Nymeria popped with an idea. She could use her own powers to slow her descent if she jumped. It might not make the others happy...but at least she could go find help if she makes it.

Nymeria pulled out her knife and made long incisions down her arms and legs. She then let herself bleed until she had enough to make thin surfaces that would stretch in between her legs as well as run from her arms to her hips. The blood thickened as it shaped, taking on a dark appearance. Once the flaps were made, Nymeria jumped as far outward as she could, gliding rapidly toward the ground. Once Nymeria made contact, she landed hands first, trying to tuck and roll with her momentum. The landing was rough, but she survived.

Asher grimaced as one of the girls there leaped off the pillar, gliding down on wings of blood. Blood user. Thanks for your help.

He had to believe if Isaac was around, he'd have made his dramatic entrance by now. Or maybe he was just sitting around watching him squirm. Son of a bitch. If he was more confident in his Force he could make a set of air platforms going down, but hell, he only just figured out that kind of thing was possible.

"Hey, uh... miss," he called over to the winged girl haltingly. "Could you carry some of us down or is that, well, not gonna work?"

Taeyrn shivers as he notices a woman cutting herself. The blood that pours out quickly shapes around her body to allow her to drop from the pillar safely. He cringes slightly. Force Blood of some kind, perhaps. Asher speaks to someone across and he looks that way to notice a winged-woman. He raises an eyebrow. Maybe a transformation or shape-shifting force of some kind. Either way, the girl made it obvious she wasn't going to help without a price--though she says to "come to her" and he is wondering how the girl think that would be possible. No way to reach her pillar.

"Very well. I'll be in your debt." Taeyrn says with a nod. He will wait for his turn patiently to be removed from this burdensome position.

Asher sighed and opened his arms. "Alright," he said. "I'll owe you. Just get me down from here." Step one, get on solid ground. Step two, continue to panic.

He reached up to make sure his bow was secure, followed by all the rest of his weapons around his belt.

Asher ran forward a few steps as he landed, correcting himself before he fell on his face. Thank the Maker. Solid ground. He cast his eyes up to the sky, searching for any sign of his brother. He was a Wind user, not invisible - and there was no sign of him. Is he just... gone?

The idea was oddly upsetting. Thank the maker he was gone... but not really. What the fuck is wrong with me?

So lost in his thoughts was he that he almost didnt realize the woman was talking to him; he jumped and reached one hand back to his head, nervous. "Sorry," he said. "Asher." Visei or Stennoth? Force I-don't-even-know-anymore? User Unit Maker-knows? Yeah. Probably should just stick with Asher.

Taeyrn finds his way to the ground with a polite thank you before immediately wandering off out of the circle of pillars. The bases of each of the pillars were beginning to creep him out and he also had this feeling...it was as if the pillars were emanating this energy that made him feel uneasy. He didn't feel it when he was on top of them, but now that he had reached the ground, it was twisting in his gut like a demonic blade tearing at his soul.

He walks for about twenty minutes until he finds himself on top of a hill near the pillars' bases, reaching the base of a lovely tree that seems small at the base, but thick and beautiful at its top. The wind blows by and Taeyrn is grateful to feel its soft, cool touch. Up at the top, the wind was very cold, but down here, the sun's warmth had touched the earth and made temperature more bearable.

He thought of his fellow pillar-mates. The one girl had glasses, brown hair, and teal eyes. She was significantly shorter than he, but that is expected of many women--and it isn't as if she is short, just shorter. Nothing about her stands out or is overly intriguing, but her clothing, however, says a lot. They are not of his world, at all. The design, the material, everything about it screamed to be of another world. This, to him, was enough evidence that they are not of his world.

This brought much into question: If they were not of the same world, then, was the winged girl really a winged creature? Perhaps it was no Force ability at all, but instead, those wings were natural? If she is not human, then...were any of the other people really human? The girl had wings that looked like that of a dragon's...but no dragons had existed in the world of Aria for a very long time, nor had the ever mixed with that of a human. Her tail and ears matched the color of his wings, all a slight golden in hue. The gold hair and pink eyes were definitely not unique, but he was still intrigued on whether or not this is the girl's true form.

The man that was whispering with the winged girl earlier is definitely a little taller than he is. He has white hair and grey eyes, looking quite normal. His clothes were...old fashioned? They seemed to be made without magic and of course, the styles were clothes that his people had not used for...many centuries. Perhaps this man was from a world where they had no magic to make clothes and that would make sense to have older clothing styles--considering they are easier to make by hand than the clothing types that Tae has currently.

And the blood woman. She creeps him out, honestly. The last person that he had met with Force Blood...shivers crawl down his spine as he remembers the madman's cackling amongst all of the dead bodies. It had taken a lot not to kill that man outright--he was an insane mass murderer that really should not have been allowed to remain in the world--but of course, he had no choice but to let the man live. Regardless, this woman may be an entirely different person. You can't judge a person by their power, despite what Staccato would have him and others believe. He will just have to hope that she isn't nuts like this man was.

Despite her ability, she was awfully tiny and her red eyes and hair were quite lovely in contrast to her pale skin. Her dark clothing suggests that her time and style of clothing creation is similar to his own--though the design is still quite different. The blades at her thighs made it clear that the woman is skilled in fighting and the mask made her quite mysterious. Still, this would only add to his wariness about the girl.

Frankly, the small boy depresses him. Just an ordinary child, with his brown hair and eyes, yet covered in scars that no child in his age should experience. It looked as though he had been wrestling and tumbling with Mytgars. Either way, his clothing, too, was very odd and out of place from the world that he knew. Not to mention, he could climb on the pillars, which made it clear that this child was obviously not an ordinary one. Children at his age didn't have their Force yet in his world, so there is more evidence that this kid was probably from elsewhere.

In face, at this point, Tae is sure that only Asher and himself share a world at all. They were all so...different and contrasting from each other and not to mention the way some of them walked. The tall man with white hair obviously walked funny...and of course there was the fact that they all seemed to arrive at the same time--from different portals, no doubt. He and Asher shared a portal, so it is only natural that they shared a world, but the others could have come from any other portal. And Isaac...where is he? He had come through the very same portal, though, a few minutes earlier...surely, he would have seen evidence of him by now, if he were near.

So...no one is from the same world, everyone has different dialects, but somehow the same language...and it is safe to say that Taeyrn is no longer in his own world. Keeping this in mind, he has no idea how his own magic will react with his surroundings, nor does he know how those who are from this world will react to him or any of his pillar companions. This could end up being either really awesome...or really bad.

Taeyrn stands at the base of the tree in contemplation as he tries to decide where he wishes to go. Asher may or may not want to stick with him..after all, Asher probably doesn't even want him to be here and the kid may be pretty pissed at him. He won't force him, that's for sure. He will find North and head that way. It seems best to pick a direction and move that way. At some point, they will have to cross somewhere or someone, surely. Suddenly, Taeyrn shakes his head, returning to the world from his thoughts. He had been quite distracted.

Nymeria stood on the ground, flexing and stretching her muscles, looking for any damaged bones. Everything felt fine, so she reabsorbed the exposed blood. A few cuts on my arms seems to be the only damage I took. That worked out better than I hoped! Looking up, Nymeria saw that the others were still stuck in their predicament until one character, revealed to be a gargoyle, carried two people down to saftey, followed by the others. A few seemed to know each other, one was already introducing herself.

What to do...They don't look to cause harm...Probably about as bewildered about this commotion as I am. There has to be something around here... Nymeria turned her attention away from the crowd, looking for any piece of reason for being where she was. Nothing but empty plains surrounded her and the others. It wasn't long before one male began walking off on his own, almost as if lost in his mind.

Nymeria followed the wandering human, waiting to see when he would finally come back to reality. He looked young, but useful. It wouldn't be hard to convince him that she should go along with him and whoever else decided to come. "Are you done pondering?" Nymeria asked softly.

Asher flushed. Maker, he was easy to read. He needed to calm down before Taeyrn especially picked up on it all.

He blinked as the little red lion appeared from her bag, jabbering about her being 'awakened' or something. He'd never heard anyone refer to Force like that really... his eyes narrowed in confusion until it dawned on him. This isn't where I came from, is it.

Well obviously, but maybe it was a different world entirely. He looked over at the winged girl and the others. They all looked foreign - alright, so that was some evidence. It still sounded absolutely nutty. "No, uh, don't worry about it," Asher said, running a hand through his hair.

A new world entirely would actually be... well it would probably actually be better. Depending on if they had Force here, or what kinds... maybe he wouldn't appear so stunted. And as for his brother... "Sorry, this is all a lot," he said, starting to back away. "I need to go... process."
