Post by JerriLeah7 15th May 2014, 3:31 pm

First topic message reminder :

[ATTN: ALL]

It is a beautiful day, around three in the afternoon, the whole of the region suffering from rather strong winds. It is warm and sunny outside, until the wind blows when it is somewhat chilly. The clouds float on by with the wind's direction, giving the blue sky a bit of variation in design. The towns and cities bustle with busy citizens, Guild Hall doors open and close as business concludes and begins for various members and of course, the streets and halls are also busy with chatter--as it would seem that although things are the same today as they would be on any other day, there is one thing that every living person has in common today.

Everyone that is willing to talk about it seems to have this feeling...a feeling of wrongness. Today feels different, somehow, in some way, though no one is certain as to why this is so. Some are mildly worried, others simply casting it off as just a weird phase. Many have approached the Guilds that are local to them, inquiring if anything can be done it. This has led everyone to realize that even magic casters have felt these odd feelings in their guts, though they seem not to know of its cause or how to make the feeling go away. Everyone has been uneasy since they woke from their beds this morning, but they day still continues on, as if the global feeling did not exist...

[ATTN: Noire, Rage, Theron]
--Northern UMS Territory; Gorrin State--

"I'm Lark," he replied to Red-Eye--er, Rage. From there, he was following Theron, listening but not speaking as the man rambled on. He wasn't in a guild, either, but he didn't exactly care. His eyes looked onward to beyond this current place. But soon, guilds and the like wouldn't matter at all. Soon, he'd be with his family again and he could leave this world behind.

They arrived, and Theron spoke of the oddities of the place. Lark looked around. Indeed, the place look deserted, but it hadn't been that long. He examined the ground. There were signs of a struggle. Four people were dragged inside.

"Theron," Lark said cheerfully, "you may want to get out of here. Rage, you'll probably need your sword, now," he added, pulling out his flute again and heading for the doors. He opened them cautiously, though he could have been thinking about the weather for all it showed, and peered in. He nodded.

"Thought so," he said offhandedly as he saw three dead bodies lining the walls. There was blood, but not a lot. Further on, there were more footprints indicating another body had been dragged further. He shrugged; if you'd seen one dead body, you'd seen them all, and at least these weren't charred as his parents' had been. At least they hadn't been smelly, he supposed. These bodies would soon be. He kept his flute handy as the footprints had showed no signs of leaving and began heading further in.

--Blazing Swords Guild Hall; Nighttime--

Sylmeria had followed politely, feeling all the more awkward as they moved further into the men's quarters. Seldom did any of her tasks take her here. Her face flushed slightly, but she continued.

When they were let in, she hung toward the back, taking in the surroundings. He kept a tidy room, like most old soldiers she'd known back at the castle. She knew from previous engagements that most soldiers prided themselves on their scars. However, her heart went out to him every time she saw his face. What must've happened to do that? She schooled her features, though, as she didn't want him to think her rude.

"Master Gren," she said with a formal bow, "we are in your capable hands."

[Atten: Noire, Rage, Lark]

[Noire]- She missed this, her normally blank face stretched into a malicious grin as she walked into the tunnel. Her hands moved of their own accord as she drew who guns, maybe she was a wild animal. Her eyes narrowed catching any movement that appeared in her line of vision.

[Rage]- "Hah...figured this might happen. Hey, Lark...wouldn't walk too far in front of her. You might end up with a bullet in the back of your head." Rage sighed as he drew his own sword, ready for anything but doubting something would make it past the bullets that she would unleash on anyone stupid enough to try and attack her. "You are using the stun bullets right?" Noire tilted her head backward to look at him with a dark look, as if saying 'don't get involved or I'll shoot you first.' "You know what...? Nevermind, have at it."

[Attn: Ryla]

-Shazeer Ruins; Northern UMS Territory –

Sheridan searched the green-haired man’s body as Ryla talked. “I could use the sun again as well.” He preferred the light, so he wanted out of this place as well.

A frown graced his face as he continued his search. All he could find was weapons, such as knives and grenades. He removed the man’s weapons. The last thing they needed was this man armed. “Paying Vince a visit may be our only option.” He said absently. His eyes were focused on the man’s tattoos, studying them for a moment.

He stood up and walked over to Ryla. “He only had these…” Sheridan commented as he showed her the man’s weapons. “Basically…he proved useless.” He said with a sigh.

Guilds Role-Play - Page 6 Post_s10
[ATTN: Nymeria, Sylmeria]
--Blazing Swords Guild Hall; Nighttime--

Gren gruffed in acknowledgment as each of the ladies spoke, confirming that he had heard them. Gren noticed a few visible nicks and cuts left by Rook during Nymeria's testing. Perhaps, if they had time later, Gren might test her sword skills himself, instead of relying on Rook and his cheats.

"Ya red'eye, yalot?" Gren asks, his speech clearly distorted. He reaches over to grab his ruck and slings it over his shoulder and tightens it in place. He looks the two girls over, analyzing their appearances and visible gear. Particularly Sylmeria's more dressy appearance. Gren seriously hopes the girl has suitable training attire--if not, they'd find something. He'd been re-briefed over Syl's power and had been in discussions with Rook over alternatives for her training.

With that, Gren's ability activates without warning, his face hardening has his eyes dilate unnaturally large. The room is bathed in a blue light as small will-o-wisps dance and curl around Sylmeria, Nymeria, and himself. It lasts for only a few seconds before the room behind the will-o-wisps shifts into that of a different one.

(But alas perhaps I should explain: Imagine that everything exists, everywhere simultaneously at the same point in time, but not necessarily in our reality. Now imagine, suddenly, you existed in two places at once, had always, and it was completely natural. You have two sets of similar memories that you both recall together. Now suddenly, the you that was where you where, is absorbed by the you that is there, that you force your existence upon the other you and disappear where you were.

Imagine mentally feeling that destruction. The confusion of a new place, having memories you don't remember, having before that feel as real as your old ones, not knowing if you're really you anymore, if everything around you isn't the real existence you where in anymore. But don't worry, the disorientation will pass, as will the 'other' memories you never really experienced. But for now, your organs feel like they want to come vomiting out, that you're weak, dizzy, disoriented, and quite unexpectedly in Infinity Edge's Guild Entry Hall, being caught by the person who did this to you, who doesn't appear even phased by it. You wonder just how anyone could ever become that used to that.)

In the new room waiting for them are two people, one of which immediately asks if anyone needs medical assistance with a polite and happy tone, waving at Gren with a familiarity. The other person is a small woman with violet eyes and silver, long hair. She has a smirk on her face as they appear, smiling and following her companions speech with words of her own.

"Right on time, Gren. I only waited for about half an hour." The woman says, "Welcome to the my Guild, friends. I have prepared a room for each of you once you recover."

Gren bows his head as he studies the girls. "Ee-yawna." He shrugs as he hears the time remark--after all, he brought the baggage. He directs his attention to his victims. "Et'll pass."

[ATTN: Nymeria, Gren, Ilyana]
--Blazing Swords Guild Hall; Nighttime--

There was another her, a life that led away from Blazing Swords. She was marrying the love of her life, and she leaned in to kiss him only to accidentally brush his blade--and slaughter him then and there. The grief had been too much, so she held onto his sword--letting Sylmeria die and becoming Valkyrie permanently. Most of the city lie dead, and the few that remained now served under her new regime...

Suddenly, she was herself again. Sylmeria felt violently sick and in the ensuing emotional overload, up came her lunch. She felt all the pain for the lover she'd never had and a life she'd never lived. So as she retched, the tears flowed down. She was never traveling that way again...

[ATTN: Noire, Rage, Theron]
--Northern UMS Territory; Gorrin State--

The path twisted and twirled and Lark walked on, paying Rage's warning no mind. He didn't care. If he died, he was to them all the sooner. The walls were lined with brightly lit braziers and entryways to other rooms, but they were mostly empty, so he moved on with a cursory check. The echo of their footfalls in the empty room was creating a rhythm that pulled Lark to note and he stopped, pulling out a piece of chalk and beginning to note the rhythm in musical notation. Any attempts to speak to him would've been met with silence as he couldn't hear them as he was lost in what he was doing.

Fuyu hit into the man with satisfying force, knocking him into the door and causing him to lose consciousness. Fuyu landed on his feet and shook the ice off himself, however he didn't have time to do much else as several more guards appeared. Two of them had quarterstaves and the other could use magic; it seemed that there were more magic users here than they knew of.

He held out his hands as if shielding his face from the water jet. When the water hit his hands, though, it turned to ice, and quickly spread up the jet to create a bar of ice leading from him to the magic user. He grinned, there was no way water would be able to harm him. He gave a jerk on the bar and hit one of the quarterstaff men with it, then tried to jump out of the way of the other quarterstaff. The man was moving too quickly and hit Fuyu on the side of the knee with it.

Fuyu landed awkwardly on one leg, but managed to keep his balance with his injured leg. He had managed to hold onto the ice bar, so he broke off some of the ice and started eating it quickly to replenish his magic.

Nymeria stood quietly, not sure how to respond to Gren's comment. Then suddenly, she felt as if her body felt unfamiliar, yet familiar at the same time. She didn't have much time to check due to a rush of memories that seemed disjointed and out of place, but they were her memories. As Nymeria's body felt increasingly unstable, she remembered being a physician and a researcher. Nymeria stumbled, holding one hand to her head, and the other held outward as an attempted to regain her balance.

Nymeria questioned her very existence, struggling to piece together her life history. So many events seemed to clash with each other. Everything she knew about herself didn't make any sense. Hearing and seeing Sylmeria heaving up her partially digested food brought Nymeria back to reality. And then the instability of her body worsened. Nymeria grimaced, looking down at her quivering arms, feeling the intensified pain of all the cuts she bore since the day before. It felt as if gashes in her skin opened up all over her body. And then came the vertigo, forcing Nymeria to her knees.

It feels so irregular...did something happen to my body or my mind?...Or my soul? Nymeria was tempted to try using her powers, but she wouldn't dare cut herself at the moment. She merely looked for someone who could provide medical attention.

Janos stood there for a moment. "I'm not opposed to helping out," he answered, "but I've got a pompous douchebag who wants twelve swords by the end of the week. If you have a way I can do this mission and complete that deadline, I'm all yours!" Janos chuckled. "You don't happen to have a potion that can put me in two places at once, eh?"

**Posting for leah, sorry for the delay Phirron ;D**

Eric, one of the doctors that was stationed at the guild came inside the infirmary to check through some papers and clean around. Although he himself had a sad mood just entering the very room where the body of the guildmaster was at. As he entered he watched the body of the man, but was suddenly surprised to see Shyis's body clinging to Rex's dead body. Approaching, he gently placed a hand on her shoulder.

''Shyis, Shyis. '' He called for her name while shaking her to try and wake her up. He felt bad about it, but it would be perhaps better if the girl slept on an actual bed.

[ATTN: Fuyu, Lockett, Darius]
--Non-Guild Hall; UMS Border Territory--

Seere paced around inside the barrier, watching as the others began to engage Fuyu. There had to be some way he could help here - but his power was so volatile compared to Fuyu. Covering himself in flames to step through the barrier would, y'know, kinda hurt and probably not work.

Oh man, those quarterstaves looked pretty flammable - if he could get at one... "Hate ta be distractin'," Seere said, "but if ye can kick me back something to burn..."

[ATTN: Open]
--S'venton; UMS, Targon State-–

The woman left shortly and returned with her husband promptly, the man carrying a lantern as the darkening sky becomes more challenging for the guild members to eye their evidence.

"Hello, Quin!" The man greets in an almost familiar, but friendly tone. "I'm Bae. It's getting pretty late, so I was wondering if you'd be willing to stay at our inn nearby. I can escort you, answer some questions, and make sure that the Mayor pay you a visit first thing in the morn--would that be okay?"

"That would be very kind of you," she said, giving a curtsy as the new man showed. She smiled as she did so - she rather liked his casual manner. And it would be wise to wait for the sun tomorrow to start their investigation. She looked at her companions. "We'd be happy to accept your offer."

"Great!" Bae says cheerfuly, despite the dark surroundings. "Just follow me and we'll getcha all comfy--have you guys eaten? I got some gooooood cookin' from me wife and she--"

"Goodness, Bae, don't be so casual--" The wife cuts in.

"Woman, this is Quin. They are about manners." The man says, clearly teasing his wife with his tone and a smirk. "So you shouldn't interrupt, geez."

The woman chuckles a little, shaking her head, but remains silent so they can learn if the group is hungry or not. The other three simply follow quietly behind, letting Nadia do all of the talking for them.

"No, we haven't eaten," Nadia said. "But really, we don't wish to cause you extra trouble."

"Well, miss," Bae says happily, "It would cause me extra trouble to have hungry guests! Besides, I always love havin' me a second dinner."

The man merrily laughs at this last as his wife smacks his arm lightly to chastise him while shaking her head disapprovingly. Attica giggles from in front of Xaroff. They make their way to the inn and the two let them in, the wife making her way behind the bar where she begins to cook a meal or two. Bae gestures towards the many tables in the main hall.

"We only got two rooms taken, so the rest of the pick will be yours." Bae says as he takes a seat, pulling up another empty chair as a footstool. "Let me tell ya, this place used to have a much better view. How much they tell you 'bout what's goin' on?"

Nadia pulled out a chair of her own and crossed her legs, her expression going serious as he asked about what they knew. "I hope they told us all of it," she said. "We were told people - especially women - were disappearing and your buildings were collapsing."

"Yeeepp, that' just about covers it." Bae says, "All young women, our youngest to disappear was eight and our oldest was twenty-nine. And well, the buildings? They seemed to...melt, didn't they, honey?"

"Oh, yeah, like butter in heat." The woman says, nodding her head as she cuts up some vegetables.

"Anyway, I won't let me wife out of me sight. The thing is, people disappear around the same time a new building melts. Not sure what that means, though."

Nadia frowned, cupping her chin in one hand. Possibly the buildings were a distraction? Or was there another connection? "Was there any connection between the women kidnapped the building destroyed? Homes, place of work, that sort of thing."

"From what I've seen, not at all." Bae answers back as a young girl that his wife calls into the room begins to hand out beverages, asking everyone what they would like in hushed tones. "The buildings, though, have all been in the same general location, as you saw."

Nadia frowned, glancing at the young girl before she looked quickly away. She wasn't sure she could take anything from that really. It was possible the two were connected, but then it was just as possible someone had noticed the issue with the buildings and decided to go about their business while everyone was distracted. Of perhaps it was another way around. "How long does it take usually for people to notice when someone's gone?" she asked. "That is, can you say definitely whether its the buildings or the people that go first?"

"I suspect it is simultaneous." Bae says, "The first time, it took us a couple of hours to realize she was missing, but every time after, we've looked and noticed immediately after. We've had a girl disappear while she was standing right next to someone! Talk about creepy."

Nadia blinked and leaned forward. "Wait, I'm sorry," she said. "When you say disappear, you mean literally?"

"I mean, he was standing there next to her, he looked over for a second, he looked back, and she was gone." Bae says, "And he said she was next to the wall, standing next to a building and that no one was near them."

Nadia leaned back in her chair, her brow furrowed, momentarily confused. Whoever was taking people had magic on their side, that was clear. Someone with invisibility, or maybe someone who could rift walk or teleport. "When the buildings are destroyed - this isn't a slow destruction, isn't it? It's immediate?"

"It's slow, and the decay and melting begins at random times of the day." Bae replies, sipping on a drink, "Never happened at night, at least not yet."

That made it more complicated. If someone was distracting the town so an agent could duck in and take the next victim, it would be easier if it was big, all at once - that would be more certain to draw everyone's attention. Invisibility is the more likely option then. Without a huge event to draw attention, it'd be risky for a teleporter to jump in blind and grab a victim unless he had a vantage on the victim and whoever was with them. Easier by far for someone invisible to walk among them, wait for those around to be distracted, and whisk away the girl. Possibly he could extend his invisibility around him, like a bubble? "I don't suppose you've seen any suspicious characters," she said, drumming her fingers against her chin. "I feel I should ask."

"Nope." Bae says, shaking his head. "I'd have kicked any newcomers out, the mayor would have, too."

And if there was no one new hanging around that almost totally killed the teleporter theory. There was always the chance it was an old resident, but she was starting to hone in on the invisibility theory. "There hasn't been one person present at all these disappearances, has there?" she asked absently, just to check, but her mind was already elsewhere. A thought came to mind that sent a chill down her spine. Right. That'd be the only way to catch an invisible man...

Xaroff wouldn't like that one bit. She didn't like it either. Just the thought made her freeze up, but she took in a slow, calm breath, making her spike in anxiety best as she could.

"Well, we've had a lot of people present each time..." Bae says slowly. "The Mayor said there might'a been a couple people together...but to be honest, he has all of that info."

He is ready to say more when the wife puts down food on the table. Salads, meats, and well cooked veggies are all set out neatly. She smiles at each of them and Xaroff thanks her on behalf of himself and Sache.

Attica puts her hands on her hips, ignoring the food entirely. "Well, I betcha they wanna kidnap people just for attention. I hear some people wanna get caught. Right?"

Xaroff shakes his head, the big black man leaning in to prepare food for the girl as he speaks to her softly. "Girl, you eat yo food. Leave the detective work to Ms. Pardeva, ya hear?"

"Mmm, she looks perty young." Bae says with concern. However, he doesn't add to this. Instead, he fixes a plate of his own.

"Thank you very much," she said, smiling at Bae's wife as she set out the food. Nadia glanced over at Attica at her outburst, her eyes narrowing a moment. "Young she is, but she's good at what she does," she said, giving Attica a wry look. Which is 'stay with Xaroff' if she knows what's good for her, she thought, raising her eyebrows at the little girl.

But she'd brought up a point that Nadia hadn't considered - one that she had to consider. Who's attention, though? She bit her lip. She didn't want to think about it, but... well, it was very possible someone was seeking her attention, considering her... employment history. If they'd wanted to make threats, they could make easier ones. It seemed far too extravagant a message to send.

Either way the motive didn't concern her as much as the method. It wasn't as important. Nadia turned the topic away from the problems in town as they began eating, starting up some small talk. They could at least relax for dinner - and besides, she had her own thinking to do before she proposed her idea to Xaroff.

Bae and his wife enjoyed the meal, cracking up a few jokes and talking happily as they finish their meal. When all if finished, the two clean up the plates with the young helper as they close their conversations.

"Alright, lemme take ya up to some rooms." Bae says, "Tomorrow morning at eight, I'll be back in here with the Mayor. He'll be glad to see some help."

With that, he leads the group towards the rooms giving them each a key and making sure there is nothing more they could need before taking his own leave, wife in tow. He looks back at Attica as they are leaving and tells her to keep with her friends, no matter what.

Nadia takes one the keys, thanking the man and looking down at Attica. "You wanna sleep with me or Xaroff, sweetie?" she asked.

"I don't care either way." Attica says with a shrug, "I can get my own room, too. I promise to yell if anything happens...but he said the killer never strikes at night."

"Hey." Xaroff says crossly, "We don't know it's a killer. Those women are probably still alive."

"Oh. Sorry." Attica says sheepishly.

Nadia sighed, looking at Xaroff. "Hasn't yet doesn't mean won't ever," she said. "Xaroff, could you...?" she started. Now that she actually considered it, on the off chance her old guild was sending her a message it was better Attica not be with her at night.

Xaroff shrugs. "Whateva ya need. Though, I'm just trying to be optimistic here. I don't like to jump to scary conclusions, that's all."

"Oh no, same here," she said. "But disappeared is scary enough for me." She gave a lopsided, wry smile. "That said, I'll make it your call how to deal with this troublemaker," she said, winking at Attica.

"You." Xaroff says, pointing a finger at her. "You're comin' with me."

His finger moves to himself and his tone is intentionally serious, but in a playful manner, as well. She rolls her eyes, moving into his room and mumbling something about being babysat. "Have a good night."

Sache waits to be dismissed before departing to his own room.

Nadia bid the others good night and went to her room, setting her bag on the bed and sitting down next to it. If this was an invisible man they were looking for, they weren't going to find him just by looking. He wasn't going to reveal himself now just because they showed up. No, the only people he might reveal himself to would be his victims.

Nadia undid her updo, pulling out her long hairpin and laying it carefully on the bed next to her. She did want to talk to Xaroff before exploring that option more - she was hoping he had come up with something less... terrifying, himself.

She instinctively turned her back to the wall as she shifted up further on the bed, playing with her hairpin as she lost herself in thought.

{ATTN: Eric}

--Sheherazade Guild Hall; Night--

Shyis was in a deep dreamless sleep clutching tightly onto her brother when Eric walked in and saw her. After he had said her name and shook her a few times each Eric managed to to wake Shyis up. Groggily Shyis sat up wondering where she was. It wasn't until she looked down and saw her brothers body that it all came back to her, and it was at this moment that the dam burst inside her and her tears final came flooding out. As she cried the only thing else she did was curl up and rest her head on her brothers chest.

Shyis was finally awakening after a couple of try, however just as she did, everything seemed to have come back to her. Tears were going down the woman's face and it made Eric feel for her. He himself was hurt to see their guildmaster on a table there, empty of life when he used to be so lively. Gathering a bit of courage, he approached Shyis and place a hand on her shoulder.

''Shyis... I'm sorry about the loss... I'm ... quite shaken by it as well... however I'm sure he would be worried if his dear sister wasn't sleeping too well. Please get proper rest... '' Eric's voice was soft and compasionate, he was also worried himself about the lady and would hope she would listen. However he would not blame her if she didn't.

[ATTN: Fuyu, Seere, Lockette]
--Non-Guild Hall; UMS Border Territory--

The non-magic user that had successfully hit Fuyu throws a flash-bomb at his feet. The water user looks angry, hands rising above his head as his eyes briefly glow and a torrent of water rushes forward, pushing into Fuyu with the full force of a tidal wave and pushing him back into the room while Fuyu is off balance from the flash.

The man struck by Fuyu straightens himself and recovers. Darius looks over at Lockette and Seere, looking almost amused. "This is getting good, guys. My bet's on hydro jerk."

The two non-magic users move into a protective stance in front of the water mage, both looking at Seere pointedly as if they had heard his remark. Both look ready for a fight.

"Keep trying to destroy our Guild Hall and we'll file charges against yours." The water mage says, "I doubt the UMS Guild Council will be happy to hear about your destruction of property and disturbance of the peace."

"I know you got it, but there are Guild members to help you and I know you can pull an all-nighter before our guests get here." Rodimus says, "You can sleep when you're dead."

This last part was partially sounding as a joke, but also sounding quite serious. The man takes a drink out of his cup before continuing.

"Anyway, I know you'll probably have to leave before you are finished, but I know someone else can take care of it and just give you the credit. That pompous ass can get over it if he finds out. Never liked him." Rodimus continued. "White Cross will be sending a few over here and then you'll travel to the destination with whomever they send."

The doctor next to Ilyana quickly makes her way over to Sylmeria and Nymeria, checking up on their vitals and sending some healing energy their way. Ilyana pulls out some keys from her pocket, handing one to each of them as they are able to take one.

"This'll get you into your rooms that I've set up for you and the main hall. Anywhere else, you will need an escort." Ilyana says politely, "Tomorrow, we can go over the specifics. For now, let's get you to your rooms so you can get some much needed rest after your unpleasant experience."

Gren checks up on the the two ladies as they are escorted to their rooms, waiting until he is assured from the doctor of their well-being before moving to his own room and closing himself up into his own isolation before bedtime. Tomorrow awaits and now we can discover how long it will take to train the slip of a girl that Rook doted on so fondly.

[Attn: Noire, Rage, Ryla, Sheridan, Theron]

Lark stepped back, an intricate percussion rhythm laid out on the wall. It lacked a melody to support, but he already had several ideas. He looked to his companions, wondering why they had put upon faces, unaware that several minutes had passed. Maybe they had started arguing. Rage seemed the type to pick fights a lot.

He paid it no mind and moved on. He didn't need to write it down on paper--he never forgot any melody or notation he encountered. More rooms, some of them collapsed, some of them battered. The place had been visited some, it was obvious--not all by researchers, it seemed. Finally, he came across a larger room. The place had been trashed. Up ahead...

"Another dead body."

He walked over. The man hadn't been long dead, but there still wasn't that much blood. Curious--unless wounds hadn't been what killed him. What interested him instead was the large door walled off with debris. That was very fresh. He looked up as he was sure--yep. Faint traces of light popped up from the rocks. Noises. Specifically, talking noises.

"Hello?" he called. "Can you hear me?"

[Attn: Gren, Ilyana, Nymeria, Open]

A tearful Sylmeria was led to her room, barely able to function for the heartache in her chest. She held it back as long as she could, tears leaking without cease from her eyes. When they left, she huddled into a ball on the bed and wept, the pain in her chest seemingly endless. And the gnawing fear at what she'd seen herself become. And do. She wanted to die. Death would be a release from this madness. From this pain.

[Attn: Char, Rodimus]

Janos nodded. "Yep!" he said cheerfully. "Already was planning on shooting down Jacosta's magic brew! With extra shit flavoring for taste! So who are these guests and what are we doing with them--you may need to restrain Char, I think he's in heat." He gave the man a sly wink. "Fraternization in the workplace? For shame!"

Ryla looked at Sheridan who was looting the green haired man. When he came back with a face that showed disapointement and the knives in his hands, Ryla started to pout. ''Stupid green creep !''

Of course considering vince had been mentionned, she rushed out to the mummy and dropped to her knees. ''VINNNCEEE SAVE US ! GIVE US GUIDANCE OH SUPER AWESOME MUMMY !'' She said while doing multiple bow toward the mummy as if it was a god. It's then that a voice could be heard. ''OH MY GOD IT WORKED !!!! MY PRAYERS WERE ANSWERED !'' Ryla screamed while going toward the door.

''I caaaaan hear you oh savior of poor old me in distress who had been attacked by a creep earlier ! ... I kicked his butt though eheh ! Oh and my friend Sheridan is here too !!! Any idea on how to make an opening ????'' The girl's voice could be heard from the other side and she seemed quite lively.

[Attn: Gren, Ilyana, Sylmeria]

Once Nymeria received some healing energy from the woman next to Ilyana, she found the strength to stand on her feet. She noticed Sylmeria, still teary-eyed from her own ordeal. Nymeria could only imagine what alternate reality the young woman had to bear. Most likely not a pleasant one. Nymeria thanked Ilyana before taking her key and walking to her room. She gave Gren a comforting yet unsure wave when he showed up. In the sanctity of her solitude, Nymeria fell back-first onto her bed. She wanted to forget how she arrived at the guild, she wanted a drink, and she wanted the next morning to come quickly.

Char wondered how long he and Janos would have to wait for this new group to arrive. He hoped to whatever god out there that the wait wouldn't be long. Sleep was as much a necessity as eating in Char's eyes. Janos's jest didn't do much to make Char feel better about waiting. "I commend your play on words, but I think you have me mistaken, Janos." Char hoped he actually got the joke that time. Rodimus always told him to loosen up every now and then.

A sigh escaped his lips as he realized that their options were running out fast. “I wonder how many hours we have been in here…” He said to Ryla, who was now asking the mummy for help.

Sheridan was about to stop Ryla when he also heard a voice coming from the sealed door. Finally! He raced to the door and joined his lively partner. The voice didn’t sound familiar nor did it address them like they were a rescue group from the guild.

“Hey Ryla, let’s stay cautious alright? No mentioning Vince and whatnot.” His voice remained quiet so that he could not be overheard. What if they were friends of whoever that green-haired man was? They needed the help to get out, but he wanted to be prepared as well.

“Yes, uh…we hear you. I’m Sheridan. My companion….um mentioned me.” He said awkwardly. They were two archaeologists who managed to get trapped on a research trip. It sounded like the beginning of a joke. “My research companion and I are stuck in this room and have been unable to get out. Is there by any chance you could assist us?”

He watched the wisps of colored light as the two of them spoke. One of them sounded levelheaded, the other sounded like she was hyper and the air supply to the room had been cut off. The color of the levelheaded one's speech was an earthy brown with traces of silver flashing among it; the hyper girl emitted a mostly green, but sparks of other colors danced around it as she had jumped from random subject to random subject. At the second's statement, he nodded his head--though he realized the guy couldn't see him. Whatever.

"I think I have a way," he said he said in a friendly voice, "but I hope you aren't the ones that killed all these people out here. Please keep in mind if you are, we'll probably have to fight." He pondered for a moment if he should've said that in a friendly voice, but he wasn't outright accusing them, just pointing it out, so it was probably okay. "Please step away from the entryway."

He quickly played a small scale in the room, listened, then nodded approval. Good acoustics. That would make his job easier. He looked to Rage. "You'll probably need your sword out," he informed him. "However, it would be best if you both waited in the hall, right now. It's difficult to control this and I'd rather not accidentally kill you. Or hurt you." Killing was the worse, right? Or at least so considered by other people? Oh well.

When he was sure the other two were clear. He stood in the middle of the room, kicking aside some of the crap--geez, this room had been trashed--and held up his circular flute. He was motionless for a moment as he thought of what to play. Finally, he knew just the song.

It was a low sweeping melody, with low tones working as a kind of buildup to the main melody. As he played, blue light came into the visible spectrum, dancing and circling around the room. A dark blue with flicks of bright blue light as the melody started to pick up. A major fifth leap offset the beat, bringing it higher, and as it did so, streams of a warm red started to dance around the room. A bead of sweat shifted down his forehead, but he played on, the music building a gradual force behind it.

Yellow wisps, orange wisps, green wisps added to the other multicolored lights, spinning like a tornado as Lark played on. The piece was about to hit its climax where it leapt into an inverted five chord with a major seventh--well, if this had the full symphony behind it, it would. Either way, it was now or never, and sweat was pouring down his face with the effort of maintaining and controlling so much energy. Even the room was beginning to shake. Not good. He was trying to clear debris, not cave the place in.

He focused on the energy in the room, the swirls of colored light, and focused them, moving them together and circling them around each other in one large beam. All the colors took on a brighter intensity, and as he hit the highest note of the song, it glowed for a moment like the sun as it slammed into the rock pile blocking the door like a stampede. The rocks and debris flew through the entryway like a shot, flying across the next room and slamming into the wall on the other side.

Lark stopped playing and hunched over, breathing like he'd just tried to run several miles flat out. "You...can come in...now..." he said in between huffs of air to Rage and Noire.

Janos' grin deepened, but he said nothing, just giving Char a sly wink. He'd spent most of his life waiting, so this was nothing new to him, though he did wish these people would hurry. He hated being idle when there was work to be done.

When the voice on the other side answered, she was happy to know they would be able to get out of this place. She did note to keep it down about vince and what they had discovered in this room however. ''Don't worry we're not bad guys ! But the bad guy is unconscious in the same room ! '' She answered to the guy on the other side considering he seemed a bit suspicious. Though who wouldn't be with a dead body in front of the room. ''I'll show you a proof when we get out. '' She said excitelly before going away from the door at a spot that would most likely be safe.

She was about to cover her ears, but the melody was so nice that she just couldn't. Ryla wondered what he could do with music about this situation though... This is when she was proved wrong when the entrance literally blasted off with pieces smashing against the other side of the wall. Ryla jumped screaming in surprised and fell. Then coming back to her feet, she went to Sheridan. ''Are you okay Sheridan ? ... Oh... look green creep is still there... well... Let's just... prove that we're friendly first. Be right back ! Keep an eye on the green creep !'' Ryla wink and go toward the entrance running.

''WOoooo that was amazing !!! '' She cough two times before she continue. ''So much dust though. And... I have a Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeee sound in my ears, oh well.'' Coming out of the door she now face with a boy who was taller then her, but seemed younger. There was also two more of them who came close to him, one that barely had anything on and the other who showed his muscles. ''Oh my ! .... Are you guys performers ? That's awesome ! '' And there she went just assuming her own thoughts again. ''Oh yeah... the proof of friendly... Y'see.. Bentas here is from sheherazade guild. She showed the tatoo on the man's arm. ''And so am I.'' She said unzipping her one piece suit to reveal a nice knee level skirt and a blouse. She then took the skirt up a bit to show her left thigh's tatoo. ''See ?.... My friend is still inside and so is the one who killed Bentas. We might need help carrying the troublesome green creep. ''

Fuyu was preparing for his next attack when one of his opponents threw something at him. It exploded at his feet and released a bright light; he shielded his eyes from the light with his arm but it wasn't enough. He was already wobbly enough with the pain in his knee, now that he couldn't see it was even worse. The next thing he knew he was being hit with what felt like a fast-moving wall of water.

The water carried him a little ways, then deposited him on his back on the ground. He couldn't tell where he was, but he assumed he must be back in the barrier-enclosed room. He got up onto one knee as his vision began to return.

"You're no Guild," Fuyu said through clenched teeth. "You're just a bunch of thugs with delusions of grandeur."

Seere's eyes narrowed as the water mage talked about their 'guild,' and his first instinct was to agree with Fuyu - some bloody guild, eh?

But he paused. Hadn't there been some rubbish about tattoos to get in? That was a guild thing, right? But also a gang thing. His eyes narrowed. If they were a guild, they'd have heard of a new guild in this region, right? And no guild would be this outright shady.

Seere moved up to stand by Fuyu as he was shoved back into the room. "What 'e said," he added.

[Noire]- She was disappointed that she didn't get to shoot anyone but glad that everyone seemed fine. Nodding to the two concious people she walked over to the green haired man and examined him; with a sigh she crossed her arms and returned her attention to the others.

[Rage]- "Well at leasteveryone's safe...nice magic you got there Lark, it's really cool. What's your guys names anyway?" He asked.

Lockett should have known the mission was going to go downhill faster than he could blink. He'd felt uncharacteristically tense since he waking up that morning, but he'd brushed it off as nothing.

This was more than nothing; this was something. It wasn't as though he'd expected the thieves to surrender peacefully and for them all to become friends, but this was a hell of a lot more than he'd bargained for. He'd just been expecting some loser thugs.

When the water mage mentioned something about a guild, he laughed. "Cute." Fuyu then said his piece and Lockett nodded. "No lies detected there."

Rodimus chuckles at Janos' little joke, but instead pulls out a small map of the region. He plants on his desk, using his index finger to point at the North-Western most corner of Sarrice Kingdom. This specific area is within a deep forest known as the "Hallows," a mere four hours travel from the continent's edge. Nothing out there other than natural life, of course, no village nor town near the site.

"Hunters out here have noticed a spot within the woods around here." Rodimus says, getting to the point. "They say it's black and decaying. They say it started as a small circle and has increased in size exponentially over time. The last people sent out to investigate didn't return--so they have asked for both Ferrum and White Cross."

Rodimus leaves the map there, but leans back in his seat and stretches his arms behind his head and stretching back with a comfortable and relaxed posed. He contemplates for a moment before continuing. "They want White Cross because it's dying out there--everything. They say the chances are high it's something dead or undead...but they also say that metal melts there. All metals. So they called us, too. So...you're my investigators. I have no idea who White Cross is sending or anything. I don't really know them, to be honest...if you want to add anyone to this mission, make sure they are gonna be free for a while...don't take any risks, if you don't have to and don't hesitate to ask for help--the last person that didn't return was Meirtof, Rank S."

A skinny guy appears in the doorway, walking calmly to the door's entrance and stepping in front of the door guard that no longer has a chance to reply to the Walsh members. He wears a nice suit, though with no tie and the overcoat is slung over his left shoulder and held up with two fingers. He's got a cigarette between the right side of his lips, scowling at the intruders and gazing with dark, grey eyes.

His spiked, creme colored hair looks wild and uncannily contrasting compared to the nice outfit, but his pose and the way the walks seems to hint more at the wild appearance that the man may or may not be trying to sell. Either way, he simply stands before the entrance for a few moments, staring at each of his of men with careful analysis before saying anything.

He bends over the man whom Fuyu injured, checking his injuries carefully with his back turned to the door. He talks to the man quietly for a few minutes and then another man comes to help him stand and then helps him walk away. Fuyu's excellent hearing will reveal the man's concern for the health of the other men, discussing their health status and making sure they are okay. It is not until he has said a few, quiet words with his men until he turns back to Walsh.

"What's your beef with my Guild?" He asks bluntly. He looks over to the side, gazing at someone that the Walsh members cannot see and then nods his head to the door. Shortly after, the barrier dissipates.

He had felt the cascade of music as it had passed him at a fever pitch, so much so that it had been exceedingly painful. As it stood, there was a ringing in his ears. Then he felt rumbling. Well, he had expected to bring down the place on himself with that performance. Guess he got lucky. Or had he?

First, Rage came in, then he noticed what looked like a hyperactive girl--and recognized the color spouting from her mouth--confirming. Both his and her mouth was moving--and he couldn't hear them. Only that annoying ringing. Well, damn. It seemed he had gone deaf. Ear plugs, next time.

The girl was unaware, saying whatever she was saying, then suddenly stripping and pulling up her skirt. Did Noire have a partner in crime--oh. She was pointing at the dead man's guild symbol and revealed one of her own. He nodded, then waved to get her attention.

"I'm deaf," he explained to her. "That blast killed my hearing. I get it, though. You two are of the same guild. Do either of you know a healer?" He couldn't try going on this way.

"Weeeeeeell," Janos said brightly. "This does sound interesting. We got the non-religious religious nuts to work with? Count me in. I wonder if they take oaths of celibacy? Char gets ever so lonely..." His face never changed expression from that fox smile, but it seemed somehow mischievous.

An S rank got taken out? Janos was only an A rank. It should be fun to see how he measured up.
