The Guild Role-Play

I'm beginning a role-play as soon as my two role-plays "ER" and "WoE" reach their conclusion. However, I've decide to give a heads up to everyone on the registration, so feel free to take your time in character creation. If you have any questions at all, ask in the discussions thread.

You don't have to be a magic user or a guild member, if you don't wish to be. Additionally, your rank will be assigned to you after all registration has been completed. Guild Ranks are F, D, C, B, A, and S. (F is a newcomer and S is generally a Guild Master.)

Rules:
1) You may have two characters--each with one, specific magic ability.
2) Follow the RP Guidelines.
3) Be specific in your character creation--I want ability details and examples. The clearer you can make it to me, the better.
4) All Guild Creation and Masters should be first approved by me.
5) All alignments are open for use, be sure to use a DnD based alignment--if you don't know what that is, ask.
6) If your character is NOT approved, make the changes that are specified or you cannot role-play with your registered character.
7) If you don't get the rank/character concept/guild you desire, don't complain about it.
8 ) Respect the RPH's.
9) Each character's magic ability must have a negative "side affect."

Appearance: Stands at 6'5" and weighs 187lbs. His eyes are dark green with brown striations around the pupils, and his brown hair is so dark it is nearly black. His face is long and his body slender with natural tone. His skin is lightly tanned and has a smooth complexion. He wears elaborate outfits sometimes as far as harlequin and stage-performer type costumes.

Occupation (if any): Guild assignments, Artist, Jeweler, Playwright, Poet, Actor

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Assimilation magic which allows him to take on the characteristics of something he absorbs into his own body. Usually just his skin, but he can extend it further. It must be an inanimate object. He is limited by the materials around him or that he is carrying and he can only assimilate one thing at a time. Once something is assimilated he takes on its characteristics and the item assimilated is used up. The assimilation is normally immediate for small objects and lasts for only five minutes unless he absorbs something large like a stone pillar, but that also requires focus and more time to assimilate. If his form is altered too much when it ends it can hurt him or even kill him. If the damage he takes puts too much strain on the material he absorbed, then he can lose it sooner and it will crumble to dust around him. He prefers to use stones or gems, but he will resort to other things if needed.
If he absorbs a magical item however it will not be used up, but he cannot assimilate it again for at least a day and it can have negative side effects on him after it leaves his body such as sick feeling, pain, vomiting, slight paralysis, loss of consciousness, etc. If too powerful for him to handle while assimilated the rejection is severe.

He hates fighting and typically uses hard stone/gems/metals to protect himself from harm. When he must fight back he uses graceful, dance-like strikes which carry the strength of his height behind it.

History/Back Story: Obsessed with beautiful things from a very young age, Kallo tended to like what most boys would consider girly so most of his friends were girls. As he grew up he would design trinkets for his friends and try to develop culture in others through the arts. His family was not well off enough to afford his interests though so he moved away from them when a young Duchess told her she would provide housing for him if he would make art and jewelry for her. He still saw the beauty in simple things and did not require much money from her unless particular clothing items caught his eye. The Duchess eventually asked him to court her, and he did for a time, but to her dismay he could not return her feelings. Once he had enough funds to support himself he moved on and traveled seeking out the beauty in all aspects of life.

He recently found the Quinsenterra Guild and joined it quickly due to the culture and refinement of it. However he does not act like an aristocrat. He just enjoys their art and attention to their appearance. He is rising in rank slowly despite being capable of much. He just keeps himself too distracted with his artistic exploits.

Appearance: Shoulder length blond hair, blue eyes, 5'7, thin. Wears a brown vest over a dark green blouse with billowy sleeves, a matching dark green belt with gold inlays over the vest, a short dark green skirt with a brown overskirt that flows out of the belt around her hips but leave the front open, and thigh-high dark green and gold boots. She also wears a matching dark green and gold headband. Her eyes and hair glow when in "Valkyrie" mode.

Occupation (if any): Aristocrat

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): bookkeeping, languages, ancient languages, accounting, diplomacy, calligraphy, interior decorating, horse riding, knitting. Basically what a young noblewoman would be brought up in.

Valkyrie- Whenever she holds any weapon, she becomes stronger, faster, more durable, and intimately knowledgeable with whatever weapon she is in contact with, fighting with it as if she's done so all her life.

However, she's also reckless and violently aggressive, which is in direct conflict with her demure, polite nature. She abhors fighting and generally prefers to find a way to solve things diplomatically. But the second a weapon is in her hands, she becomes a wild force of nature, thirsting for the next great battle.

History/Back Story: Neice to the king of Holstein. She was a favored neice and doted upon by both the king and queen. Sheltered, she grew up shy and demure, avoiding conflict and argument.

However, all of that changed one day when she had lunch with her liege. An assassination attempt was made; armed brigands had been slipped into the palace and made to kill the king. Silmeria was terrified and huddled in a corner while the king did his best to try and stave off the brigands. One of the men made for the women and the queen pulled out two knives, one for her and one for Silmeria to defend herself to the last.

It was then that Silmeria's lineage was revealed. A golden light flashed from her as the knife touched her hand and in an instant, she was making quick work of the brigands as if she'd been fighting all her life. However, they weren't enough to satisfy her battle lust and ten guards suffered at her hands before Silmeria could regain control of herself.

It was the magic of Valkyrie, an ancient magic limited to the women of the royal bloodline and thought to have been lost. It terrified young Silmeria, however, and she withdrew into herself. Unfortunately, her power made her a target. Other members of the royal family feared she'd be bumped up in line for the throne. Assassins and cutthroats assailed her. Fearing for their niece's safety, the king and queen sent her into seclusion. There, she was met with another attack and the house burned down.

Feeling she could not return to the castle and put further burden on her wonderful relatives, she disappeared into the night, determined to survive on her own. She went into the city and joined the local guild, though she hasn't been very successful due to her timid nature. Mostly, her room and board are covered for by the guild master, as she is great with records and his bookkeeping sucks. She is a favorite at the guild for her polite and sweet nature.

Appearance: She's fairly short, with dusty blonde hair to her mid-back in a ponytail, brown eyes and a flat chest that she has something of a complex about. Usually wears loose clothing that's easy to move around in. Pockets are a must.

Occupation (if any): Makes jewelry in her spare time to sell.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Mana Crystalization: She has the ability to cast basic elemental spells, such as a simple fireball or firewall, a shield of ice or rock, a blast of water to distract, push or incapaciate foes (or to have a refreshing drink), a simple, human-sized golem that can be summoned to fight alongside her, a blade of wind to slash an opponent or to slow her fall, by creating and using mana crystals. Each crystal is good for one spell using the element it has been aligned for, and all crystals must be created and aligned in a safe environment, though they don't require any materials or tools to make (To clarify, she needs to calmly focus on creating each crystal without distractions. She gathers raw mana from her surroundings and crystalizes it into a physical form. If interrupted, the mana will dissipate, occasionally with violent results.) Each takes 15 minutes to make, no more than 15 can be made in one day, and no more than 15 can be carried at any one time. If she doesn't have a crystal, she poses as much threat as a normal teenaged girl.

History/Back Story: Anna comes from a moderately wealthy family of jewelers. Ever since she was little, she was fascinated by all the shiny trinkets her parents dealt with on a regular basis. Even so, it came as quite a surprise to her parents when she suddenly started making her own jewelry, seemingly from thin air. After a professional examination of her work, the secret of her ability was revealed, and she threw herself headlong into mastering it. She managed to find her calling working for the Valoria guild, and has managed to gain some minor status for herself.

Appearance: Grey eyes. Black hair down to his lower back, usually left loose, but tied in a ponytail when training/fighting. Fairly small. He has a feminine face and build, but his body still shows some signs of muscles if you look closely. He usually wears casual clothes, but he always loosely wears a black long coat that he received from his father.

Home Country: Sarrice Kingdom

Occupation (if any): Part-time worker, odd jobs.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Tracing - Making copies of existing objects out of magical energy. It's basically an illusion given shape. While it is real, it's a contradiction, so the projection cannot remain in the world for very long. Normally, he has to analyze the object perfectly before tracing, but the exception are swords. He can analyze and recreate swords at a glance. However, copies can never be as good the original. It will always be weaker. But when recreating a weapon, he recreates every concept of creation. This includes it's powers and it's memory, so he is effectively able to use a sword's powers. However, the more powerful the weapon, the more magical energy it needs to create. He is just a beginner, so he doesn't have a lot of magical energy yet. Creating weapons too powerful for him could physically hurt him or worse.

Unlimited Blade Works - His true magic. Unlimited Blade Works is a spell that changes the world, overwriting reality with an image of his soul. Like his tracing, it's a contradiction and cannot last long. It's the reason he can trace swords so easily. Swords he sees are stored into Unlimited Blade Works, and he traces them from there. Think of UBW as a gun, and the swords as bullets. The gun is loaded with the bullets. He shoots the gun, making the sword appear outside UBW. Overwriting reality is a spell that's much too high-leveled for him, so he's unable to do it. If he had someone supplying him with magical energy, however...



History/Back Story: His mother died when he was born, and thus he lived alone with his father. The man was someone who developed his own magic to help people to the best of his abilities, an ability he worked on from scratch when he was but a normal person. However, shortly after Merle reached 10, he came down with a deadly sickness. And so, the honorable man passed his remaining years teaching his son the magic he developed. After his father passed away, Merle decided he'd follow in his father's footsteps, and to that end, joined the guild to improve his magic.

Heres my character to make things a bit more odd!

Name: ‘Mish-Mash’, Real name unknown

Gender: Unknown

Age: Unknown

Alignment: Usually Neutral; though occasionally changes alignments temporarily if ‘it’ believes it is necessary.

Guild: Occasionally assists guilds but has no allegiance to any of them.

Symbol/Tattoo Location: N/A

Desired Guild Rank: A

Appearance: Mish-Mash’s entire body is completely covered bar a pair of glowing eyes coloured turquoise, though seem to change colour depending on Mish-Mash’s mood, but only with extremely strong feelings. He is a very broad and wide person, though standing only at 5.5ft in height, and seems to have a hunchback.
He wears a large purple wide brimmed hat with a single yellow feather attached to it much like what the musketeers wore, an old fashioned medieval full iron helmet revealing only his eyes though with holes along where his mouth would be, with his hat atop it.
He also wears a large patchwork jacket made with dull variations of fabrics coloured shades of brown though with fake white fur on the collar, sleeve and bottom edge of the coat. It seems to be as thick and comfortable as a duvet. It’s length is down to a few inches past the start of his shins and sleeves much too long and easily obscuring his hands. On his hand her wears a pair of long dark brown leather gloves reaching to his elbows with some sort of silvery scales sewn into it on the back of his hands, along it’s knuckles and backs of fingers.
He also wears a pair of dark purple pointed and curved jester shoes with a jagged trim over it‘s top which reaches to ‘it’s‘ knees and little brass bells on the end of the shoes. Most of these are obscured by a pair of magenta coloured samurai hakamas, in other words baggy, line indented trousers wore by samurai that reach to a few Mish-Mash’s ankles.
Mish-Mash is rarely ever seen without a giant fool's gold coin tied to back by rope some rope. The coin is 5ft wide and tall, and 3 inches thick, with simple lines carved into it’s side while on one face there is the face of an angel while on the other face there is a devil’s tail.

Occupation (if any): Works randomly with or for anyone he finds when he needs currency or for reasons of his own

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Lucky Summon: When Mish-Mash flips its coin, in the air, it summons a creature forth depending on where it lands. Useful summons appear when it lands heads up, while less useful summons appear face down. If by per unlikely chance it lands on it’s side and stays, an extremely powerful summon occurs. Mish-Mash can only summon in this fashion and only one summon can be used at a time, and a certain condition for each summon that stop them from appearing depending on the circumstances no matter what side ofthe coin lands. The summons last for random lengths of time, ending up with them appearing for a whole day or merely several seconds, while there is an eight hour interval between each summon, allowing there to be three summons a day. It is unknown if any of these summons are of the Celestial World, in fact of the real world itself, or some other dimension or universe. Each summon takes place in a matter of seconds, and if the summon is in a near death situation, is sent away in a in the same amount of time. For a summon to actually occur, it uses Mish Mash's own mana to make one of them to appear, essentialy being the source of power for this magic but can only use the giant coin to be actually able to cast it. Summons appear from the visable surface of the coin which creates a portal on the dominant face. If it lands on it's side, the summons occurs on the coin face that is pointing away from Mish Mash. If the coin is moved in anyway when a summon occurs, the summoning is cancelled, though if it happens in the few seconds after it began, the interval for the next summon shall become null and Mish-Mash is aloud to use another summon imedietly.

Summons: Shivers: The most powerful of Mish-Mash’s summons though rarely makes an appearance due to him appearing when the coin lands on it’s side. Shiver appears as a kindly old man, dressed in a fleece winter coat fully buttoned up, a pair of thick trousers, some snow boots and a knitted bobbled hat, all coloured completely white, as well as his neat shortly trimmer hair, while his skin and eyes are of an icy blue. Shivers has complete control over ice and snow, and is able to create it from any source of water an manipulate it freely, able to create spears, swords, statues, bridges, furniture, armour or walls with his ice and snow, though any physical form is weak and blunt if made out of snow and can easily fall apart, while anything he creates of ice seems to be rock solid.
He is incredibly weak against fire and heat magic, and is also completely pyrophobic, though mostly attacks like the kindly old man as he appears, though will act with merciless fury against any who attack Mish-Mash or commit acts of great injustice. He cannot be summoned in places of where there is already fire. He is considered to be S class in power.
Gengis: The most brutish and violent of Mish-Mash’s summons. Gengis stands at a mere three feet, with a pot belly and stubby arms and legs, seems very underwhelming. Always appears in his pair of baggy trousers and bandages around his chest, with simple Celtic iron helmet with a a leather flap tied to it’s brim which covers the sides and back of his head. He has ghostly white skin, red eyes, ginger hair and beard, both bushy and unkempt, and rotten brown teeth with flecks of black. He is however, superbly powerful and can easily smash down a brick building, and with monstrous endurance, being able to scale a normal cliff effortlessly.
He is incredibly dim-witted and badly tempered, leading to be easily tricked and fooled, having a very primitive vocabulary and being convinced he is the worlds smallest giant. He dislikes Mish-Mash to almost bordering on hatred and is not summoned if there isn’t at least three people or animals in the area other than Mish-Mash. He is considered to be A class in power.
Wobblan: The most athletic of Mish-Mash’s summons. A rather cheerful young man of tanned skin with black mid-length hair which curls at it’s ends, wearing a simple yellow beret, a plain white buttoned shirt, a pair of long woolly sock, some wooden clogs and a pair of yellow lederhosen, as well as a removable wooden left leg. Wobblan is an expert in hand to hand combat, claiming to have won a mixed martial arts tournament five times in a row, and is athletically fit with a great sense of balance and is easily able to fight on a single leg. The false leg can be removed and used as a club by Wobblan, and also has a hidden grapple inside it to swing over long distances or over treacherous drops.
Besides his combat prowess, Wobblan is just like any human and can be harmed in the same fashion, albeit more able to cope with injuries. He is an optimistic and friendly to all who meet him, treating everyone as equals and tries his best to avoid confrontation, though is immensely competitive. Wobblan is one of the few summons who has no conditions, but may appear when sleeping or during other inconvenient times for him. He is considered to be D class in power.
Gwyntog: The most blustery of Mish-Mash’s summons. A woman in her late thirties with her blonde hair tied into braided pig tails, has long saggy cheeks like a bulldog and wears a red bonnet-like hat with a white frill around it’s brim, and long red plain dress reaching down to her ankles, a pair of black jazz shoes, and a white jacket tied around her neck and resting on her back, with turquoise yellow skin. Gwyntog has a great amount of speed, and is able to inhale great amount of air and out it out at eighty mph, able to fire projectiles as well from her mouth if it is also inhaled in, with complete control over this ability.
Gwyntog is quite physically weak despite her speed and her breath ability, and can be easily subdued by anyone who can catch her. She is a rather motherly woman, trying her best to take care of everyone’s needs and whims, keeping their safety in mind and can be somewhat overprotective, fussing over her allies, especially Mish-Mash. Gwyntog refuses to appear in areas where breathing is difficult and is petrified of bugs, refusing to appear when any are near and disappears when there are some close by. She is considered to be E class in power.
Corneia: The most observant of Mish-Mash’s summons. A young dark skinned woman of a beautiful and lithe build and long legs, her blue hair tied back into a pony tail, and with an odd large and almost bulbous right eye. She dresses entirely in purple, with a pair of three quarter length cargo trousers, a pair of artificial sandals, a denim jacket and a vest, and is always seen carrying a bolt-action rifle and packets of bullet sin her pockets. Corneia has a superhuman level of sight in her right eye, being able to see kilometers away and what is normally unseeable to the naked eye, and is also a top class markswoman and sniper, with deadly accuracy.
Due to the size of he right eye, it is extremely sensitive, and rendered almost useless if struck, blinded, or injured in anyway, leaving Corneia in great amounts of pain, she is also, just like any person, is unable to see through anything obscuring her view. Corneia is a serious and cold person, caring little for anyone at all, even Mish-Mash, though enjoys shooting at anything, and tends to get bored when she is unable to. Corneia refuses to appear in foggy or stormy weather, as well as confined spaces. She is considered to be of C class in power.
Mule: The most stubborn of Mish-Mash’s summons. A man with the head, tail and legs of donkey, all of these appendages hair coloured grey, with the rest of his body coloured peach, and wears a white neck frill, an orange pair of pantaloons, lime green tights, an orange Victorian era shirt with frills at the end of the sleeves, and a pair of leather shoes, as well as a few gold rings with rare jewels incrusted in on his fingers. Mule has an oddly superhuman sense of hearing, managing to hear whispers from miles away, and has incredible leg strength, able to kick through solid brick.
Due to his sensitive hearing, Mule can easily be deafened, and is extremely tempermental, going into fit of rage or a over reactive sulk at a moments notice. Mule considers himself to be the worlds greatest actor, and his pride dictates this is so and acts unkindly to those who disagree, and is easily offended and is immensely fussy. He refuses to appear anywhere very noisy, and oddly anywhere there is a performance of some kind occurring. He is considered to be B class in power.
Scutters: The most limbed of Mish-Mash’s summons. A creature with six insectoid legs, a pair of bulbous insectoid eyes, constantly salivating jaws, a very skinny body frame and a large head with antennas and long purple hair around the sides of his head with his scalp bear. He wears a ragged beige poncho and a pair of tattered trousers and has talon like hands and sickly green skin. Scutters is able to walk and run on any surface, able to travel vertically and even upside-down, and also has an immensely powerfully immune system, easily resisting a multitude of poisons and diseases, and has an inhumanly quick healing factor. For some reason, his saliva has great healing properties, managing to treat injuries as quickly as his own healing factor.
Despite his impressive healing factor, Scutters is very little match for a truly devastating attack or rapid onslaught of them, and is incredibly sensitive to insults, ending up blubbering in the corner if his feeling are hurt to much. Scutters is a shy and socially awkward creature, who is constantly struggling to bring himself to feel at ease with anyone, and usually stutters every word he says, though is oddly extremely chatty with Mish-Mash, and seems to be easily frightened. He cannot be summoned in frightening areas or anywhere he knows is rumoured to contain ghost or goblins. He is considered to be F class in power.

Skills: Mish-Mash is surprisingly strong and athletic despite it’s appearance, being able to lift a wooden cart up with it’s bare hands and traverse city rooftops. It is no means super-human in these feats but merely physically fit, though has inhuman levels of endurance. It tends to avoid physical conflict of his own unless he forced to.

Personality: Mish Mash tends to avoid speaking, has an almost addictive craving for fruit juices, avoids any permanent alliances or personal relationships, and takes promises, debts, and favours extremely seriously.
Give him some fruit juice free of charge and there’s a chance he may end up as your new best friend, being the only known thing to keep him distracted.
His motives are unknown and cause him to occasionally change allegiance and he speaks in a monotone genderless voice which rarely shows emotion.

History/Back Story: Unknown, though rumoured to not even be human and fruit juice holds some old emotional connection to Mish-Mash. Some say ‘it’ was from overseas originally…………………………

Appearance: He is 5'11" with thick, wavy, ash brown hair that reaches his mid-back and green eyes.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Lysis has the ability Air Lock, which allows him to create invisible structures of magically-fortified solid air. He can create nearly any shape he desires and is capable of controlling a large volume of air (to some extent). The structures are technically nearly weightless, but Lysis can control their resistance to force. However, he can only maintain one continuous shape at a time, regardless of its size.

History/Back Story: Lysis lived a normal life with his parents and little brother until one day, when he was eight years old, a mysterious golden-eyed man appeared before him. He had strange powers and seemed intent on using them to terrorize Lysis for no reason. After that day, the man continued to appear and mess with the boy’s head; however, he always vanished suddenly and was never seen by the rest of Lysis’ family. As time passed, Lysis’ hatred for this man grew and his parents began to believe more and more that he had lost his mind.

Finally, Lysis decided he had to end the nightmare. He was skilled with magic and after he believed he was strong enough, he gathered his courage one day and attempted to kill the man. However, something strange happened and although he believed he was attacking the man, he found he had actually attacked his brother. The injury was severe and he died quickly, to Lysis’ horror. Knowing that this would only confirm his insanity in his parents' minds, Lysis fled his hometown. He never saw the man again, but vowed to hunt him down. After much traveling, he was taken in by the Walsh guild and has remained there for about 12 years, training until he reached S rank. Because of his ability, Lysis has become known outside the guild as The Blind Architect.

Within the guild, the guild master is the only one that knows about his past. Although Lysis can seem carefree to the guild members, he is far from it.

He is a bipedal, humanoid creature of leathery complexion standing at 6’1” and weighing around 195lbs. He has soft, black fur about his back and joints and less layers around the rest of his body. His ears are long and go back behind his head into points with tufts of hair on the tips. His skin is dark brown to black but the skin around his face, hands, and feet is lighter, nearly white around his eyes and mouth. His mouth extends outward into a “v” shaped muzzle. He has extra sets of canine teeth so it makes his smile a bit intimidating. His eyes are large and deep, sea green/blue, and have a reflective layer so he can see in low light. His tail is 4’2” in length so it goes a little above his head since he holds it high most of the time. The surface of it is leathery with a strip of black fur going down the middle, topside and ends in a large tuft at the tip.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Tail Forms – He can shift his tail into different forms as needed such as a broad glider which he can spread behind his body, a sharp blade as hard as steel, a long whip as strong as bound leather, and so on. The limit is that it is only his tail and therefore limited by the matter which makes up his tail. So if it extends to the whip it must be thinner than his actual tail to be longer. Or to change the density it would be heavier for him to manage and thinner and shorter to accommodate the change. He also needs to eat a diet of things to facilitate the changes, such as more minerals for metal/stone aspects, actual jerky/hide for tough leather, and such. If his tail is injured he cannot use the ability as effectively.
Since he is not human he fights similar to a feral creature and will run on all fours and flip about like a cat. This makes his battle style hard to follow or predict except by the most seasoned hunters. However, he rarely takes battle seriously and just dodges and annoys his opponents. He tends to swoop down in a glide and knock people over to discourage regular battle.
He can see in darkened areas, but not pitch black.
He has above human sense of smell, hearing, and jumping ability.

Artifact Use: Vicisulo lived in a lost time, so it makes sense that some artifacts are from his time period and that he knows how they function even without the direct memory of using the magical item. He has no artifacts with him though, but there might be some in the dig area where he was found.

History/Back Story: In a time lost to human history Vicisulo was encased in a stasis. No one, not even he knows why or how. Stasis is funny like that.

Appearance: Stands at 5’11” weighs 213lbs. Well-muscled from working in metal shops. His short hair is such a dark rust-red it is nearly brown, and it tends to go off in different directions wildly. His stern face has scruffy marks of facial hair. His eyes are pale green and his forehead tends to wrinkle when he is aggravated. His eyebrows have patches missing, but they are pretty bushy otherwise. He has scars about his arms from sword fighting as well as ones from metal working.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any):
Breathing Dragon: Garm can effectively swallow different elements by breathing in deeply to form a powerful vacuum. He then can re-purpose and redirect the captured element or even hold it for a limited time in his body.
Garm’s mouth is strange even at first glance. His lips are tough and rubbery, his teeth are bronze-colored and are spaced a little wider than normal, and his gums are dark brownish-red instead of pink. His throat/sinuses also have altered anatomy and he has an unnatural cavity in his chest to store elements.
Fire: Garm’s favorite element to work with. He can withstand temperatures up to 930°C, but the closer the fire is to this temperature the less time he could hold it. He can pressurize fire well so he can capture a large amount of it, and thus make a more powerful blast the more he collects. He can sneeze fire in a shorter but more concentrated burst, and it tends to push him off of his feet, but it is definitely a problem for his foes.
Water: Garm does not like to use water often. It weighs him down and the powerful spray can make his gums sore. He can use a small amount to release an effective mist cover though. He can hold a chest-sized barrel of water without much trouble, and at least he can hold water as long as he likes so long as it is not punched out of him and he’s still conscious.
Wind: Since air is everywhere it is the most often used element for Garm, but his ability to pressurize still air is lacking. He usually works better with a real pressure difference so sometimes being around storms can help. He can also make a quick and powerful sneeze to launch himself into the air or away from attacks. He can hold pressurized air for about an hour without any difficulty. 5 hours and the air escapes on its own and hurts his sinuses.
Earth: Garm cannot chew stone or anything so he cannot effectively reduce any large stone formations, however he can suck up sand or dirt easily. He can also swallow rocks/metals smaller than his own fist and launch them like bullets. He does not like having to clear his mouth out after each use though, and it obviously weighs him down even more than water does. He can hold around 10 gallons of sand easily. The stones though, probably only about 20 of the largest size of rock he can swallow. Time: About 12 hours for sand/dirt, and about 2 hours for that many stones.
Lightning: Garm’s teeth attract electric current so if lightning is fired at him it is absorbed through his teeth and travels down the lining of his throat. Lightning is not an element he can hold well for long, however he can gather a true lightning bolt’s worth. He usually has to let it loose either moments after he catches it or at most five minutes after swallowing it.
Ice: Garm cannot work with ice at all. His mouth/throat hurts intensely if anything more than ice-cubes from a drink are swallowed naturally to go to his stomach. He hates ice-cream.
Darkness, light, life, death, spirit, etc. are intangible and therefore not elements he can take in. However, the vacuum he forms can knock some energy blasts off-course or even disrupt solid formation of said intangible elements.
Weaknesses: He is limited to what is around him or being used against him since he cannot form an element himself. The rest of his body can be harmed by elements just as any other human, and he does tend to burn his face often. If he is ever sick and has a cough/sneeze then he cannot use his magic at all. He can only swallow and hold one element at a time, but if he fires it immediately after being swallowed he can cycle the elements quickly with little to no problems. If he is hit hard while holding an element it can forcefully escape from his mouth and will damage him at its release. His breathing inward when being attacked with an element or trying to gather an element nearby must be sustained evenly and takes a moment even after the attack for him to pressurize and effectively release or hold. As mentioned above, the element of ice is not something he can use and it causes him severe pain should he try to swallow it.
Even without his ability, Garm was made for fighting. He can take down enemies with powerful lunges, tackles, and grappling. He is an accomplished street-fighter with many tales and battle scars to prove it. He likes to mainly use his grappling or fists, but he carries a giant knife similar to a machete but heavier and balanced for throwing.

History/Back Story: Garm has a sorted past. His strange ability coupled with his temper got him in trouble often since he would injure other children by knocking them over with a sneeze or eating a flame and spitting it back at them. His parents, grandparents, and even his great-granny Leila are not sure why he could never cope, but they cared for him despite his literally violent outbursts.
Eventually he moved off, and worked random jobs as a metal-worker, especially on the new Rails. He also made a decent guard for merchants, but he tended to worry them as much as the brigands did. He tried applying for some Guilds, but they were less than accepting of his… work ethic. So it was only until he came across the Blazing Swords that he found his niche. Their constant aggression and competition became the perfect outlet for him, and they accepted him on the spot. Ever since his induction he has become more structured, of better temperament, and enforces the laws imposed by the local authorities and the Guild itself. He finally had something to rally behind. He's been with the Guild for almost 10 years now, and looks up to Rook as his leader and as a good friend, so he is very protective of Rook and quells anyone that would go against the Guild Master.

Yen possesses the magical ability he calls Negación Maelstorm, or as its known among the magical community, Magic Negation. Yen is able to use his magical energy to cancel out the magic of others as long as they are in range or the magic is. This attack can be both directional as well as omnidirectional. The ability doesn't stop physical objects, or objects propelled by magic.

Weapons:
Pair of tough leather gloves with steel studs on the surface. He also wears metal armguards to allow him to block swords and other melee weapons before closing into range. Short, curved sword blade and a knife.

History/Back Story: Yen was born and raised among the cannibal clans of Yorush, and one day caught by slavers. He was later caught by slavers and sold into bondage in pit-fights. A horrible sport with a high mortality rate, which only enhances the purses of greedy merchants and nobles. Surviving for many months in the pits he was lucky in the fact that the pit was discovered and raided by UMS police forces. He was granted freedom and a small pittance before being sent out on his own.

Having noticed that he stood out among other people, due to his unusual eyes, and height he was always noticed by others. Eventually he started to receive unwanted attention, which he quelled with the skills he learned in the pits. As the fights began to escalate he was thrown into jail, where they tested him for magic... which he failed so spectacularly that his ability was discovered.

Eventually he began to train in dojos and heard of Rhodes. He applied and has been there ever sense. He often takes on jobs involving rogue mages as his ability makes him best suited for this. Yen often works alone. Be forewarned: Should he ever come after you, hope to what ever gods you pray, your wanted alive.

The target has to be bleeding in order for her to be able to manipulate them and the strings can be destroyed by people outside of her control, which will bring the target back to their senses.

History/Back Story: Eve was born to a middle class family in Sarrice. Unfortunately, her parents were secretly involved in some shady business and it came back to bite them when they cheated the people they were dealing with. When she was 12, two men showed up at her house to speak with her parents. The conversation became heated and eventually escalated into a vicious fight, in which her parents ended up killed. Outraged and devastated, her power awakened then. The two men were wounded and bleeding and she suddenly found herself in control of them. She made them tear each other apart.

Shortly after, Eve ended up meeting a Rhodes member in town. Confused by and a little afraid of what she had done to those men, she ended up confiding in this woman about what had happened. Upon hearing about her powers, the woman convinced her to come to come and join the guild.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Sword Magic: He carries around a sword hilt and can create various blades on it. He can manipulate the size, element, etc. of the sword and use it for various effects. However, it takes time to make the swords, with some elements taking more time and magic power than others.

Oculus Dormiens: "The Sleeping Eye", if someone looks into his right eye they have a 5-10% chance of falling asleep. It also works best if the target isn't hostile or suspicious. However, he keeps his eye bandaged up and doesn't like to use the move because he's convinced it steals peoples' souls (it doesn't really).

History/Back Story: His parents were both talented mages, but they weren't satisfied, so they began to experiment on children, orphans and their own. Many of their experiments killed the children outright, though the ones who survived were left with brain damage. Drakon was one of the few who did survive, and he helped the other survivors kill his parents and escape to freedom. He was soon taken in by a member of the Rhodes guild, and eventually joined it himself.

Due to the magical experiments done, the power of his Sword Magic was greatly enhanced, and he was given his eye magic. However, it also left him some mental quirks. He is generally harmless, though he is unpredictable so one can never be too sure.

Appearance: Trajan is somewhat short for a man, at only 5’10”, but his heavily muscled form makes him appear bigger and more intimidating than a taller man. He has cropped dark hair and is clean shaven, with light olive skin and dark grey eyes. He has a long, ugly red scar around his throat that he doesn’t bother to hide, and he wears a sleeveless leather cuirass, leather arm guards, and loose pants with leather boots. He wears a short stabbing sword at his hip, but he uses it rarely.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Has the ability “Siphon,” which allows him to draw magical energy from any mage around him. The energy he draws in, while active, gives him an energy boost that increases his strength, speed, and healing rate by a small amount, but the more energy he draws in, the harder and longer he crashes after the energy rush fades.

History/Back Story: Trajan grew up alone with his father, as his mother had died giving birth to him, and as his father was a soldier he spent much of his childhood in the barracks watching his father’s work. His father taught him to fight starting at a young age, and thus when his magical power surfaced when he was 15 he was quick to join Blazing Swords. At the time, the guild was still run by Jay Parks, and while Trajan didn’t care for many of his guild members, he did respect the leader.

However, when he was 20, Parks stepped down and Rook came in. By this time Trajan was a prominent member of the guild, quickly climbing the ranks due to his good work and loyalty, and he had been hoping for a promotion to leader himself. Rook’s arrival as Guild Leader stung badly, and Trajan started speaking out against him, first in whispers and then in flat-out talks of treason. Blazing Swords managed to handle him for nearly a year, up until one night when Trajan, enraged, lunged to strike out at Rook and was stopped by Garm, who managed to overpower him and nearly strangled him to death with a rope, giving him the scar on his neck.

He left the guild in disgrace, but moved to UMS and, when he turned 25, came to Infinity Edge seeking entrance. With a little convincing he made his way into the guild, and has been on his best behavior ever since, in spite of some rumors that he was a little too careless about civilian lives while on the job.

He must consume his element to regain energy to use his powers at full potential. Although Noah is blind he can "see" through vibrations thanks to his earth powers, when standing on earth he will have the clearest "vision" he can get but when standing on something like metal his vision will be fuzy. He can also see the vibrations of projectiles. His blindness is also his weekness though, flying or silent organisms can be very hard to detect

History/Back Story: Noah was raised by the earth dragon Terra, thus his dragonslaying magic. He was born with his blindness and abandonned due to that fact, his family seeked perfection so they abandonned their son in some mountains where Terra was residing and found Noah. He spent many years with the dragon, more specifically until he was 17, then Terra disappeared leaving Noah to fend off for himself. He went off looking for Terra for the following year, until he found the guild valoria and chose to join because he liked their values. So hes been in the guild for the last couple of years and has managed to work his way up to A rank.

Valerie was not taught her fighting style. It is rudimentary yet incredibly effective. Her right hand is encased in an all-metal gauntlet, and her left hand carries a rounded mace with a trigger to produce spikes or pull them back inside the ball.
She blocks immense attacks with the gauntlet and she attacks relentlessly with the mace. Even if her illusion powers were disabled, her training has made her a force to be reckoned with in combat alone. She will gouge eyes, snap bones, and hit arteries as well as pressure points. She does not play nice.

Illusion Mastery - Valerie has the power to create illusions that either distract the mind or literally take form on the physical plane. She can:
+ Introduce anything to all five senses. Fabricating realistic sounds, phantom tastes, feelings on the skin, ghostly images, and even faint smells.
+ Create illusory beings or effects that have some interaction with the physical world, even pushing someone off of their feet if formed correctly.
+ Produce images of herself or make herself appear in one place while actually walking, unnoticed to another spot.
COMPLETELY SECRET + Place an invisible magical filter over her eyes that can block out bright lights, effects of eye-related powers, and any other illusion-type power related to vision.
+ Produce an invisible, illusory shield that will filter and refract magic to bend it out of shape and keep it from hitting her. Helps especially with smaller projectile magics, even completely reflecting them. Can change the angle of magical blasts.
+ Slow projectiles down as if they were shot through jelly, but is limited much by distance and timing.

History/Back Story:
Valerie has done a masterful job at keeping her past secret. She does not want to involve her family or past ties in her life now, as she knew from the start, that she would make countless enemies. Even when she first became a mercenary she knew this. She even wears a white kerchief over her face to reduce the chance of anyone recognizing her. As the leader of Virago she has accomplished much. She has even bested some Guilds in their questing, always seeming to stay one step ahead on the big missions. She has even shadowed Guild members to snatch the goal or victory from their grasp at the last moment.
Valerie treats her members with a heavy hand. She is demanding and at times harsh. She insists on success and looks harshly on failure. However, she is just as hard on herself. When she is not on a mission she is training relentlessly and no one knows how she gets enough rest. Every woman there admires her though, and has a deep respect for her.
Over the last 5 years or so she has had enough money and influence to establish some small shelters for women to learn self-defense, shelters for women who were victimized/abused, and schools specifically for women to learn crafts and jobs usually closed to them by men. The last development has caused a particular uproar among many merchant guilds, men of prominence, and patriarchal organizations.
Valerie is very pleased with her progress.

Correia can elementally charge armaments, effectively increasing their power, defensive abilities, and so on/so forth. For example, her suit of armour can be imbued with earth, increasing her protection against that element (alongside her overall protection), and her sword can be imbued with fire, making it far more deadly than a regular sword. However, she can't just magic up these elements from nothing. This elemental power must be drawn from an actual source, whether it be torch for fire, leaves for earth, and water for... well, water. Armaments also only stay imbued for so long, and when it runs out, it becomes a regular set of weapons and armour.

History/Back Story:
Correia was born in the United Merchant States, and quickly learned that there was far too much pressure from everywhere. Her family wanted her to "continue the legacy", her friends wanted her to "use her assets" and go somewhere with a fancy noble, and her school pressured her to be the best housewife possible. Correia couldn't deal with it. Family, friends, school, it was all too much to think about. She just couldn't deal with it and began to block it all out and decided that the best thing for her was to escape for a while.

The moment she did, Correia became a little more "in-tune" and began to realize who she really wanted to be. Picking up a sword, she began to train and train, though at first, she wasn't very good (though it wasn't her fault, the weighting on any wood sword is somewhat faulty), and in rage, she funneled a little energy into it and flames from her bonfire burned her sword into a crisp, and her hands became severely burned. Confused, she began to experiment with more wood swords, refining her power until at last, the fire only coated the blade without spreading.

Realizing what she had, she knew what must be done. With much prodding, her family allowed her to spread the family name her own way "by fighting for the United Merchant States". Further experimenting with her skills, she discovered how to do much more than just surround a weapon with fire while training on her own. It was as if the weapon morphed itself according to her will. A few weeks later, she realized her armour applied the same way... this was big, but she wanted to make sure that she had the right cause to bring honour to her family.

-After breaking the skin and letting herself bleed a little, she can move her blood however she wants
(think of it as waterbending her blood for those that watch Avatar or using telekinesis)
-She can use her blood like a whip or make it congeal into a semi-solid and use it like a blade or a needle
-She can send a small amount of blood flying at speeds around 20mph
-She can only manipulate her own blood because it's magically bound to her spirit. In the case that she loses blood, she can replace it by drinking the blood of another human. But she must wait for the new blood to bind to her spirit before she can use it.
-Her body also has enhanced healing so her cuts heal quicker, however body parts don't grow back and fatal wounds remain fatal (for the body)
-If a lot of her blood gets outside of her body, she grows sluggish and weak
-Nymeria can manipulate up to 3/4 of her total blood without any replacement blood
-She easily becomes anemic as a side effect of using her ability
-Theoretically, Nymeria can be transfered from one body to another by transfering her spirit and her blood, but this has never been practiced
-She's also skilled with her knife

History/Back Story: Nymeria was actually born approximately 55 years ago and lived a good life. She had plenty of money, a boyfriend, and lots of friends who loved to have a good time. At least, it was all good until one party turned to chaos. A savage fight broke out over two women, which then turned into an all-out brawl. Nymeria searched desperately for her boyfriend, but ended up getting a knife through the chest. When the fight subsided, Nymeria's boyfriend found her on the floor, bloody and gasping for air. Wretched with guilt and despair, the boyfriend turned to the only person who could help Nymeria; a sorcer. In exchange for much gold and treasures, the sorcerer agreed to place a magic curse on Nymeria's spirit. Her soul would forever be bound to the blood inside the next host body. The boyfriend forsake his integrity by kidnapping a young woman and offering her to the sorcerer. The magic user went through the ritual, killing the woman and binding Nymeria to the host blood. The perk of enhanced healing was also added.

When Nymeria saw her lover again, she embraced him as much as she could. As the years passed by, the boyfriend grew older, and it was evident Nymeria would outlive him. When her boyfriend died, Nymeria moved on to wander the land, feeling an ever present emptiness. She tried to fill that emptiness and make some money by doing something interesting with her life. She became a hired weapon for anyone to use for the right price. During that time, she discovered her powers and developed it to make it lethal. Still searching for some meaning in life, she found the Virago guild. Nymeria hastily joined the guild, hoping she would get some benefit out of it.

Appearance: She's one tall girl, and tall is an understatement. The 6'8 behemoth of a girl has long arms and even longer legs, good for running, and her hands are very large as well, earning her the nickname "Felix Long Legs", as she is a very protective teenaged girl. She wears one-sided heavy armour over a long green dress, with her dominant arm and shoulder completely free of any protection (to allow for maximal flexibility), and happens to be armed with a freakishly large long bow and two crossbows, with a quiver slung around her back and bolt holsters across her hips.

As a noble, she had access to the most designer of fashions and the most expensive of makeups, but not much was needed to make her look beautiful, what with all of her parent's good genes. Golden locks and blue eyes apparently ran in the family, as she had both. Luxurious lips finished off her face as did a well-shaped nose and small ears, though the ears looked out of place on such a large body. Her eyes had an intense focus to them, as if they didn't know anything else but to focus.

Her archery style stemmed from a magical incident forcing her into permanent tunnel vision, but it also gave her a very interesting power. When she shoots any sort of firearm, she can choose to expend a little more energy to have it almost freeze up while in flight. This doesn't change the trajectory of the arrow by any means, but it makes it irrelevant what quality arrow she's firing and increases her damage potential by a fair amount (and the arrow speed by a fair amount), especially because it takes relatively little energy to do so. However, again, she has acute tunnel vision, and can really only see straight in front of her, as if she were seeing in a permanent scope. This makes her overly far sighted, and makes it hard to read or see anything close enough to hit her in hand-to-hand combat. Her scope-sight also makes it hard for her to function in everyday society,

History/Back Story:

If rich kids were born with a silver spoon in their mouths, she was born with a platinum one in her's. Felix was born to two business magnates who provided alternate jobs for many in their city in their local monopoly of mines and logging. These jobs paid quite well due to the high profit margins, and they were quite popular as such, but the parents still didn't feel very safe about leaving their child around... so there was an ultimatum held over her head. Either learn a battle skill to keep herself safe, or learn the family business.

Felix chose the latter and took up the art of the bow, getting quite good at it. This led to her being allowed to wander the streets of the city alone, with bow and arrow in hand. No use needed to be made of them until she was eight and wanted to visit her local baker for some sweet pastries... especially the cinnamon buns. She would get no cinnamon buns, but she would instead find a robber stealing from her favourite (and only) baker! Quickly, she drew an arrow and slung it at the man's arm, forcing him to drop the bag of goodies. The baker retrieved them and ran back in, but at the cost of Felix's near sight. The man cast a spell on her and she was knocked out cold.

Waking up, she thought she had grown giant. The ceiling looked so close, but yet, was still so far. Her family was standing right next to her, but she wouldn't realize it until one of them touched her on the shoulder. Looking, she saw a very large nose arch and was confused... Laughter erupted as she asked if Daddy had turned into a giant nose. This had effects on her archery, allowing her to be increasingly accurate until she could hit a bullseye from even 450 feet 90 per cent of the time.

Her ice abilities did not surface until the age of 14, when she had developed a... rather tall growth spurt. Now 6' 4", her father decided that she could go on one of the hunting trips with her dad's crew. Felix enjoyed every minute of the hunt, and bagged a couple of deer... it was the next find that really got her. Noticing a brown thing charging at her dad's wealthy friend, she gulped... as it neared, she found it was a rather large bear, hard to down with just an arrow... Quick to sling her bow, she tried to fire two in quick succession, but missed... there must have been a better way to slay a bear with one arrow!

Residual magic made its way into her veins from the incident, and something was drawn from the air. The moment she released the arrow, it flew like Hermes, freezing mid-flight and taking out the bear with half of the icy arrow embedded in the bear's skull. Realizing what she had, her father sent a call out to the guilds to see whom would take her. Many guilds inquired, but Quinsenterra loved her for more than her ability, and it seemed like a natural fit for a noble lady to go to a noble guild.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Comet Magic : When activated, Aloe's body glows with yellow flame looking light. When activated, Aloe can fly, his punches and kicks power is increased tenfold and he can send comet blasts. These can be fired two at a time with a range of 300 meters and have a blast radius of 5 feet except when merged together the radius becomes 10 feet. Negative\weaknesses: When he gets out of his comet state he is completely drained (if used for a full fight) He can sometimes lose controle during flying i he pushes himself to much and since he is 16 he doesn't fully understand the limits of his power so it can happen frequently.

[b]History/Back Story: He doesn't want to say anything about his past but rumour has it, both his parents were lost in an incident, apparently the father would have been responsible and Aloe's powers would have awakened at that moment at a very young age.

Occupation (if any): guild jobs, assassinations, spy, information gatherer.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Nicko has cat like attributes. He is incredibly fast, agile and has amazing reflexes. He can easily see the trajectory of fast things from projectiles to actual beings. He can be incredibly silent, his footsteps are almost completely silent. He can climb almost any surface with his set of climbing claws which cannot be used for slashing
But can puncture through human tissue, he also has battle claws which are like a bunch of razor sharp dagger. Nicko has hidden blades: three blades per fist [like wolverine except its not in his skin, they are gauntlet\glove like things] and 2 hidden blades for each foot that come out of his shoes in the front. He can transform into an actuall kitty cat.

Nicko really is like a cat, even the negatives. He absolutely hates water, in fact if some one were to throw water on him he would probably run away in fear. Twine or any thing like a lazer pointer will make him go into playful mode, and dont even get me started on catnip. When it rains he will run for cover even if he is in the middle of a fight. If he see's fish or mices he will try to prowl up to them to catch them.

In conclusion he is quite the assassin and/or close range feint type fighter. He is quite fragile, has no range attacks what so ever and can tranform into a cat.

History/Back Story: the source of Nicko's cat like self is totally unknown and unexplained, his parents were two very normal human beings. He was loved and cherrished by his parents, so much, that they worried about him a bit to much, excluding him from the world like a damn house cat. But Neko was an alley cat at heart so he ran away in cat form and never went back to his overprotective parents. After some time of playing in alleys or doing small mercernary work, Nicko stumbled upon Mia, he became her pet cat as well as good friend. Three years later the guild Valoria was established so he started it up with mia by becoming one of its very first members. He has been doing guild jobs and retrieving information from anywhere for Mia since then, being her loyal pet cat.

Appearance: 5"6' tall, long black hair mostly always tied in two ponytails on both sides of her head, pale/white skin, azure blue eyes, quite a few battle scars all around her body, she is quite skinny but her strength would surprise any one who judged her by appearence. She wears a black bra and a black open hoodie over it and black short shorts.

Occupation (if any): Dirty work, guild assignments

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Spectral: Nyomie is able to phase her body into a spectral aspect making her untouchable by anything and making her be able to pass through objects while in that form (no she cannot fly) she cannot damage anyone while in that form either, her strikes would just pass through opponents. She can only be in this form for 5 seconds and at an interval of 5 seconds between activations. Although if a part of her body remains in an object or a person when she reverts to her normal form or the duration of it is over, that part of her body will remain spectral until she removes it. The spectral ability is something that assists her in battle but it is not her method of fighting. She is a weapons master, she has quite the arsenal of weapons in her Quarters. None are magical and yes they can break, which costs quite the sum to repair. She always only brings one weapon and a dagger with her and her prefered weapon is a katana with it's sheathe.
