Ruoh smiled graciously, "Yes, and that is just way I have given it to you, my lady. I do feel terribly about taking Kaimele from you on such short notice. A gentleman should never split a family up in such a way."

He is lead to where the luncheon is prepared and laughs as Kaimele talks about how beautiful the painting is. "My dear Kaimele, even if I had been half as talented, an image of you would have turned out just as beautiful. I think your presence makes the painting lovelier by far."

As he assists the ladies with their chairs, pulling it out for them so that they may be seated, he takes his seat last when Kaimele mentions the preparation of various foods. His eyes widen with peasant surprise.

"You didn't have to go through too much trouble, now did you?" He asks them, "I feel like a King."

Kaimele blushes as Ruoh speaks of her beauty. She know people consider her beautiful, but she has downplayed it for so long. Laila looks over at her and smiles.

“It is not every day we have guests here, especially a wonderful gentleman caller such as yourself.” Laila replies humbly. “And just imagine you met just walking around Essentia. Besides I have to be sure that both of you leave on full stomachs. I know how trying traveling by carriage can be.” She looks at Kaimele then back at Ruoh. “I am counting on you to take care of her Ruoh.”

Kaimele shakes her head in between bites. “I can take care of myself Grandmother.”

Laila gives Kaimele a stern look and winks at Ruoh. “Nonsense, a young woman like yourself should be spoiled by man. Besides at your age…”

“Grandmother, please. First this is not proper conversation over a meal, and second I just met Ruoh.” Kaimele interrupts before Laila could finish. “Ruoh, I do hope you are enjoying your lunch.”

Ruoh smiles graciously. "Why, yes, my lady, I am. Very much so. This is absolutely delicious."

He looks up after a moment, smiling at Kaimele as if he were dazed off into another world. He almost seems fascinated, but he quickly looks away, so as not to stare rudely. He eventually finished eating a good amount, remaining more quiet to hide his amusement from Kaime's and Laila's conversation.

"Have you ever danced under the moon?" He asks finally, looking up from his plate.

Kaimele gets a thoughtful expression on her face. “Only for recitals or while on night jobs. I never got to dance after dark at the festivals. My brothers didn’t allow it. It looks like fun though.”

Laila stands and cleans her dish off the table. “You guys better head out of you want to get some traveling in before night time.” She walks over and kisses Kaimele on her head. “Be careful Kaimele, and don’t let them push you too hard.”

Kaimele’s lip quivers slightly. She hugs Laila tightly. “I won’t and I am going to miss you. Are you sure you don’t need any help cleaning up?”

“Posh, you two don’t worry about a thing. I have other workers who can help with this. Promise me that you will keep me updated.” Laila hugs Kaimele back.

Laila looks over at Ruoh. “Her bags are by the door.” She peels herself off Kaimele. “Now you two go have fun.”

Ruoh bids Laila farewell before moving to the door and picking up Kaime's bags himself. He is quick to move them to the carriage before escorting the lady to the carriage, where the footman is already prepared to assist her up into her seat.

As they are both readied and inside, Ruoh nods his head in polite closure before the carriage is headed off. At this point, they will make it to the Guild by mid evening. Hopefully, in time before Lady Aurella leaves. He wonders what importance would take her to a meeting? She had vaguely told him last night that it was dire.

"I made sure to bring a bit of food," Ruoh says to start a simple conversation, "I know how hungry sitting around after horses can make you hungry."

Kaimele looks around the carriage as the footman helps her in. She is not used to such formality. She bids the footman thank you, and cannot help but gasp. The inside of the carriage looks and feels even more luxurious than the outside. Ruoh gets into the carriage and speaks to her. Kaimele looks at him with wide eyes. “Ruoh, this is the most beautiful carriage I have ever been in before. Your footman is really nice too.” Her hand touches the fabric before settling in her hands in her lap.

She wrings her hands in her lap nervously. “So how long until we reach our destination? I hope it isn’t too late, I hate to be rude on our first meeting.” She is so unsure about joining a guild. She is afraid of them being forceful with her ability.

Vicisulo pulled his hand back from trying to touch Mish-Mash's giant coin when Donovan looked over and shouted to him.
"Excuse me!? Respect the man's possessions and personal space."
Vicisulo gave a sad expression and went back to downing his smoothie. Soon it was gone, so he ordered some freshly squeezed plum juice this time. The smoothie was nice, but he really just wanted regular juice.

Donovan listened to what Ryla was telling him.
"Well, it is good to know that this youth, Lark, is alright. I am also proud of Vicisulo for reacting so quickly to save his life. And the healer even showed up? My, quite the little adventure."
Vicisulo caught on that Ryla was still upset about the experience and spoke up.
"Sadness, no. Human boy o-kay, Ryla o-kay, so still time to live and happiness."

Ryla was about to say something else when Nicol and Mairenn rushed into the juice bar to tell them about the meeting with Rex on the morrow. Vicisulo just sipped his juice and gave a curious expression toward the couple. Both had the mark of Sheherazade on their faces: the man, on his forehead, and the woman, on her cheek, so he gave an ear to what they had to say.

Donovan nodded when Mairenn addressed them.
"Yes, we are, and you two must be Nicol and Mairenn. I was at the wedding ceremony. It was very touching and beautiful. I fear I missed the reception afterward since I went to go check on Vicisulo here. He had recovered not long after the wedding was over apparently. I found him fully awake and walking about. I must say, it caused me quite the start."
He said sheepishly.
"Your information is noted. We will be in Rex's office tomorrow. Thank you for letting us know."

After everyone else left but the armored stranger. who was still slurping down glass after glass of juice, Donovan paid the hefty tab and then coaxed Vicisulo into leaving.
"We have important business tomorrow. We should head to our separate quarters to rest."
He informed Vicisulo as they left to walk back to their Guild.
