War of Elements Role-Play

{Attn: All}

While Minry distracts the dragon slayers by using his illusion magic and swooping around them being what some may call annoying. Bastian and Xander inch their way closer to the approaching army. Xander keeps up a fire barrier as Bastian launches fireballs at the archers. The few arrow that make through are stopped by Bastian's armor. Xander smirks at his cousin "Not bad for middle class armor."

Iris stays back. She is half looking for a glimpse of Rin, even after all everything she wants to talk to him. She stomps on the ground pouring her anger in every step. She flings the chunks of earth at the approaching army. At least her emotions have some good use. An arrow falls in front of her close enough that she feels the heat, but she presses on not caring. She is not a fragile being that needed to be catered to.

Leesha Open

Jessia dodges a few arrows but unfortunately is hit by some sparks and flame from a few of the oncoming fire arrows. She makes a face but keeps on going.

"Are you alright Leesha?" she asks. "And that sounds like a plan I'll be right back. Hold the arrows back till I get back." she said.

She ran around to the back. She used her hands to lift water up in front of her. Lifting this much water at one time could be tiring to someone. She was glad that she had that military training. She first wet the back of the house. Taking both of her hands she waved the water around and then used it to wet the back of the building. She then controlled the water in front of her. She noticed that Leesha had switched from her barrier that Minry had taught her to a fire one.

"Leesha if you want to drop your fire barrier I can replace it with a water one so that we can keep the arrows from being flamed." she said. "Once they get to close to be able to do fire arrows I'll use the water to attack the army." she said.

Roxanne stood near the entrance of the outside of the stronghold, nervously holding up her shield to block any arrows that might come her way. She watched the dragon's might in awe; she had never seen anything so powerful. Roxanne hoped the dragon would take out many of the soldiers before they continued to advance. She wasn't looking forward to close-range combat, although the others seemed quite capable of handling it. She scanned the group carefully for injuries.

Leesha Open

Jessiah quickly had the barrier up in place. She smiled at Leesha. "Leesha darling I promise I won't get hurt but I have some fighting of my own I would like to do." she said.

She stayed in place with her hands held high. The water barrier did not move as fire arrows were quickly put out.

{Attn: All}

A few of Bastian's fireballs hit their targets, as soon as they do earthen barriers spring up around them. Bastian looks at his cousin "Damn earth benders." But it is not a complete bad thing. The archers are also having a more difficult time aiming their fiery arrows.

Xander glances back at the stronghold. There is some small fires on the wall from the arrows, nothing too serious yet. Thank goodness they thought to close the doors. His eyes fall on Roxanne, and he remembers her element. "Cousin I will be right back. I have an idea! Are there any earth benders on your team?"

Bastian nods "Yeah Iris, why?"

Xander smirks "You'll see, just be prepared to hit the archers when you can."

He races over to Roxanne. "Is there any way you can take down the earthen barriers surrounding the guards. Not all at once mind you, but one at a time. It will be easier for us to take them out that way."

He then goes to one of the other ladies standing towards the back. "Are you Iris?" She nods, but does not say anything. Xander then tells her the same thing he told Roxanne.

Iris gets a smirk on her face. "That is a smart idea Xander, maybe you aren't as bad as your cousin after all."

Xander scowls. "My life is on the line here too, and I learned that high class can be just as untrustworthy as lower class. Just don't prove me wrong about putting trust in you."

Iris concentrates on a the earthen barrier around an archer. It was tough, but the barrier slowly crumbles. As soon as it does Bastian shoots fireballs at the archer inside.

Open

Jessiah noticed that the army was getting closer. She also noticed that some of the building had caught fire. Thankfully it was nothing that she couldn't handle. She took down her water barrier and used part of the water to distinguish the fire on the building.

She could see earth pillars forming. She grinned as she used the water to hit at the walls of earth. Soon they were demolished to nothing. She laughed as she sent a flood of water over the first wave of the villeins coming towards them.

Death by drowning on dry land. What a way to die. she thought.

Members of the enemy army came rushing in toward the fort, more trying to get away from the fire-breathing monster than anything else. Ares launched fire down at them, Ceilidh helping it along with his wind. Some of them noticed the boys up in the tree, but got set ablaze before they could get close.

Kieran wound up trying to fight off a sword-user and a mace-user, and was able to hold his own until one of them used some earth bending to launch a large chunk of earth at him. It hit him square in the shoulder, denting in his armour so that it felt like it was crushing his shoulder. He couldn't take his armour off in the middle of the fight, so he gritted his teeth and kept going.

[ATTN: Xander, Open]

Roxanne nodded when Xander told her his idea. "I've done some practice with my earth bending, so I might be able to do some damage to the barriers."

When he left to go talk to Iris, Roxanne focused on the earthen barriers. It had been a while since she had used her powers so much, but she managed to break the foundations of a barrier, causing it to collapse. She immediately began to concentrate on another barrier.

{Attn: All}

Due to Roxanne and Iris' efforts the archers number are going down. Lylishae has taken care of a large amount of the army also. Because of Minrai she's only needed to dodge a few easy shots. The General commands they flood the stronghold with their remaining army.

Bastian watches as the infantry of the army approaches. They are well equipped with weapons and elements. He could not help but notice there was a lesser number of Fire Nation. Surely that was done before Xander's group did anything. "Heads up guys here they come. Protect Iris at all costs." He begins exchanging blows with a tough Mezzo trooper.

Xander sees the left over army approaching also. He looks at Iris "Don't worry, you have the best of the Fire Nation protecting you." He steps in front of her as an air nation enemy approaches.

Iris rolled her eyes at Xander's remark, but is thankful for their protection. She sees the enemy scanning the group, looking for something...or could it be someone. She smiles as she remembers the secret of the dress. As the does she feels her shoulder in pain as an arrow slices it. She looks around and one of the remaining archers smiles at her. Thankfully this particular arrow is just an ordinary arrow.

Iris Open

After Jessiah drops her massive water tide on a group killing them by drowning, she runs in with massive fury on her face. She has her ax and shes slicing and dicing through a group of mezzo fighters. They are having no luck as shield keeps them from making any significant damage to her. She grins as she continues yelling blood curdling threats and curses at any on coming groups.

She has killed three by hand when she notices one of the last bow and arrow users aiming at something. She doesn't think she just throws her ax at the man. She does not kill him before he sets the arrow off. He looks up at his target a grin on his face and then falls over dead. His spine severed in just the right place to kill him instantly. She is covered in a few scratches and blood all over her from her targets when she looks over to see who had been his target.

Iris.

Jessiah runs to grab her battle ax from the dead mans body. She yells at Iris. "IRIS!!" She had forgotten Iris and the promise she had made to her before the battle began. How could I be such a fool. That woman trusted me she thought. I deserve punishment. I only hope she isn't hurt badly. she thought to herself.

She makes her way over to Iris who seems to be in a state of shock. "Iris. Iris are you ok? I have to get that arrow out of you!" she said. "Iris stay with me."

{Attn: All}

The General stayed near the back commanding his troops. He didn't want to be fighting against the overseer, but also did not like the prospect of facing five, no four Nation Lords empty handed. So he rallied his troops to take on this bunch of misfits. So far he did not know which one was Iris. None of them fit the description Rin had given him. The only earth bender girl has brown hair, and someone called her Roxanne. The other earth bender was a guy in a dress.

One of his captains comes racing up. He salutes the General. "Sir, we have identified Iris."

The General nods. "What are you waiting for? Order your troops to get her at all costs. UNHARMED, understood."

The Captain salutes again "Sir, yes sir."

The Captain races off and passes the word along. Now they have obtained their target they will get her at all costs.

The General decides it is time for him to join the battle too.


{Attn: Jessiah}

Iris shakes her head at Jessiah. "It is just an arrow, nothing serious. I am not a baby." She grits her teeth and pulls it out. Her eyes widen as she sees the reminder of the army advances the stronghold quickly. "Jessiah, look out!!" Iris barely got out as a fireball comes her way. Iris pushes her down and lands on her as the fireball hits the wall behind them. She gets up and looks at the soldiers approaching...her.

Iris Leesha open

Jessiah has almost had it with Iris telling her she was not a baby but this was not the place or time to set her straight. Iris knocks her over saving her from a fire blast before she can say anything. Dumfounded she looked at Iris.

"I owe you my life Iris. Thank you."

Just then Leesha jumps in doing some nice damage to the group that has surrounded them. Jessiah winks at Iris and Leesha.

"How about us girls show these army men what we are capable of?" she said with a sinister laugh.

As Ares and Ceilidh fought from the tree, a large crowd of enemies began to form around it. The pair tried to get rid of them with fire, but there were too many. They began to hack at the base of the tree with their weapons.

"Damn, this isn't good," Ares said. "Can't you fly us out of here or something?"

"I just got these wings today! And how am I supposed to carry you too?!" Ceilidh exclaimed.

"Looks like we'll have to jump, then!"

Just then, the tree began to fall backward. The two boys leapt from it, propelling themselves over the enemies who were crowded around. Ceilidh tried to flap his wings, but all he ended up with were muscle cramps.

Ares broke his fall with a roll, and quickly jumped up to face the enemies who were now rushing toward him. Ceilidh's landing was more awkward because of the pain in his back; he landed on his side with one of the wings bent under him and he cried out in pain.

Ares threw fireballs at several of the attackers, then ran to Ceilidh and stood over him protectively. Ceilidh scrambled to his feet as Ares threw out more fireballs and added his wind to the mix.

After fighting enemy upon enemy, the pain in Kieran's shoulder made it impossible to use that arm. He fought off some more of them using his sword one-handed and his armour turned away most of the attacks aimed at him, however one of them managed to pierce his thigh with a sword.

Kieran turned to head back to the fort, blood pouring down his leg. The enemies didn't make it easy, though, as he had to fight them the whole way back. When he finally limped back into view of the fort, there was a trail of blood and corpses behind him.

[ATTN: Kieran]

As Roxanne hung back and kept a close eye on the battle, she noticed someone emerging from the crowd. She recognized him as a member of the other group, and her eyes widened in shock at his injury. Roxanne heard Baren yelling to him, calling him Kieran. Knowing he would need help getting inside, she walked away from the fort cautiously and approached him.

"Kieran, right?" she said. "Here, let me help you get inside."

[ATTN: Roxanne]

Kieran heard Baren calling to him, and next thing he knew Roxanne was coming up to him. He wasn't the type to ask for help from anyone, but the blood loss from his leg had made him weary. He grunted and allowed Roxanne to help him to the fort.

{Attn: Open}

Bastian and Xander saw the troops advancing on foot. It looks like they are targeting Iris. The cousins stand back to back to help each other. Bastian gets into a sword battle with a water user. Xander launches a fireball "Looks like you need to instruct your people not to give intel to the enemy."

Bastian grunts as he kicks the enemy away. "Shut the hell up and concentrate on what is important. We cannot let them get Iris."

The two work together switching off between their elemental and sword skills. For now their injuries are minor. They only hope to keep it that way.

Iris is pushed in the back of her 'protectors' as she has come to call them. Neither one letting the soldiers through. It does not mean that she is not fighting. She uses her earth bending skills to help with their attack. She tried using her water bending, but it is too weak to be effective. "Jessiah you are going to help me train on my water after this battle."

Iris Leesha Open

Jessiah is back to back with both Iris and Leesha. She grins as the battle calls come out of her mouth. She dodges with her shield and uses her ax in openings trying to keep the on comers away from them. She grits her teeth as a swordsman is able to get very close to her. He grins and winks at her.

“Oh come on now ya wee saucy babe. How can a woman like you put up a fine fight against a character like me?”

Jessiah grins and puts her shield down. She knows she won’t need it for this fight. “Wee Saucy Babe? Is that what you called me? Huh if you think I can’t take you on then you have another thing coming.”

She takes a stance as she notices several others circling around her and Iris. Leesha has left them and she hears Iris talking to her. “Iris If we make it out of this I’ll show you how to do anything you want!” she said.

Jessiah waits for the man to swing his sword long ways at her. She dodges and does a strong uppercut taking his right arm off his body. He screams in agony and begins to curse and spit at her. A man is coming up on her other side and slams his arm into the ground. She waits a moment and then jumps Pulling Iris with her as she goes. As she does so the man that she had just cut his arm off gets impaled by a stalagmite that comes up from the ground. He is killed instantly and Jessiah lands with Iris beside her in the same group of men.

She sighs lightly as she looks around. “Why couldn’t I have landed at a better place than this? Ugh the men are all drama queens here and are full of shit. Guess we gotta keep taking out the trash Iris.” She said.

She sees her shield has been pushed away from them. She grits her teeth knowing that without it this many men might be too much for her. She continues the fight with them even though she is beginning to tire.

[ATTN: Kieran, Baren]

Roxanne helped Kieran over to the fort after deciding that his grunt must have been one of approval. He wasn't saying anything, and she wondered if he was in too much pain or if he was like that anyway. Either way, his injury looked bad so Roxanne helped him inside and up the stairs as quickly as she could to get him to Baren for treatment.

"I see that you're quite busy, Baren," Roxanne said, helping Kieran over to Baren. "So I'll try to help with the treatment any way I can."

[ATTN: Roxanne, Baren]

Roxanne helped Kieran up to where Baren was and Baren immediately set to work. Kieran still didn't say much, though he did cringe when the pressure was applied. To keep his mind off it he worked at getting his dented breast plate off so as to relieve the pain in his shoulder.
